(00:08):
Welcome to Cannabis School. I'm your host, Jesse Angeles.
And I'm Brandon Elder. And we're here to talk to you
about everything pertaining to cannabis from vape, flour,
edibles. Strains.
And everything in between. Hey kids.
Oh, welcome back. Welcome back to another episode
(00:30):
of Getting Smoking High with Brandon and Jesse.
Yeah, and today we're going to be smoking on something
delicious and new that Jesse hasyet to try.
Yeah, this is. Pandemic punch.
Pandemic punch. Yeah.
Yeah, I know we got done with all that stuff, but it's a punch
form now. Oh God, I'm glad the pandemic's
(00:51):
over. Do you remember that when I
when, when you guys got it and Icame by and I dropped off a
goodie bag and stuff like that, like a box of food and shit like
that, 'cause I felt so bad. It was the weirdest thing.
It was super weird because people felt like if they got it,
it was a life's, it was a death sentence.
It was terrifying. I mean, but that just goes to
(01:11):
the power of the mind, yeah. But then as like, I know, we
lost a lot of people. A lot.
Of yeah, we lost a lot of peoplebecause of bad medical choices.
Yeah, I mean, there, there was alot, but even or pre-existing
conditions or other stuff like it still affected a good subset
of humans across the globe. But when I had been researching
it and that and I was like, you know it's supposedly less
(01:33):
dangerous than the flu. Like I get the flu and I haven't
passed. I actually didn't get as nervous
when it got closer to it and then I got it and I was like,
OK. The worst part for me was I lost
my sense of taste and smell and I'm like.
Which is weird. I didn't.
I had it three times. Oh, I just got it once.
It was the best weight loss thing I've ever done.
(01:56):
Because before that, you remember, I was a little
heavier. I was quite a bit heavier.
I was probably about 30 or 40 lbs heavier than I am today.
And it was, dude, it was crazy. Yeah, dude, I was 40 lbs
heavier. Oh man, well let's see if this
helps with some weight loss today, some pandemic punch.
It's supposed to be a indica dominant hybrid made with
(02:19):
Neville's Hayes and Panama Mean Green.
Never long about them. I got a little bit of the
alcohol. See, I tried to burn it off,
blow it out the other way. That's how it goes.
Do a bunch because I did clean it this morning.
You got to usually let it dry for a quite a while I found, or
do several cycles to burn it. That's what I had done with
this, the cycle of burning first, but I ran, I have this
(02:42):
little air blower thing like handheld 1 and I ran it through
the top of that for like severalminutes to kind of dry out the
glass. But it's very possible it's.
No. Right to the throat.
Wow, I can only imagine that thewhat's the terp profile?
(03:05):
Let's take a gander, see if we can find the terps on this bad
boy. I mean it's part rubbing
alcohol. Is that 99% isopropyl?
Always. Oh yeah, that's a good.
Terp I went over to OH, you know, McLean, I was over there
and he had his bong out and we were going to smoke and his bong
(03:27):
just looked so incredibly disgusting.
And I was like, we got we got toclean this fucking thing.
And I explained to him how a bacteria can build up in the
first like 2448 hours in your water and you just got to keep
it clean. And so he like, do you have
rubbing alcohol and stuff? So he pulls out the 70% and salt
and I'm like oh bro 99% is whereit's at.
(03:50):
Like I don't use any salt. I just pour that in, shake it
around, cleans it spotless. Or use Zepp.
Zepp is by far my favorite for bongs it it really cleans it
out. I don't need anything extra, it
doesn't leave any residue. Yeah, I used to use that until
we got Jetson. And Jetson was no chemicals
except for rubbing alcohol. So I've been strictly on rubbing
(04:10):
alcohol for the last while but. Have you been using Jetson?
No, because it looks like Jetson.
That's kind of gross. And so I'm like, we just need to
find another good product out there.
We need a new bong. We need a percolated.
Multi perk. Yeah, cuz that one by far
delivers the most, I would say most enjoyable experience from a
(04:31):
bong. I'm glad I got all the rubbing
alcohol out there for you. I am too, I really appreciate
that because now all I taste is like some really tasty but I
can't find the terps on this guybut.
That I'm guessing that it's going to be a really heavy on
beta carophylline, which is giving me the sensation of that
this might be an indica, I'm notsure.
(04:52):
I'm thinking it's going to be more of a hybrid.
It's supposed to be an indica hybrid.
Yeah, that. Dude, look at that fucking can
of snob, you know? Oh man.
Oh, that's Oh yeah. When it's like right on the mic,
I'm like that. Little can of snob smoking gas
and drinking gas station coffee, which I got to tell you, I don't
(05:14):
know why, but I really like thisone.
We have coffee at my work. Yeah, it's in the Keurig pods.
OK. They're they're yeah, they are.
They're mids at best. They're very mids.
I I just don't get like I'm not satisfied.
Oh yeah. This one, they they switched it
(05:37):
up, there's beans on top and they freshly grind.
Oh, in the machine. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Per serving. Oh God.
So the the flavors are better than they used to be.
They used to be really like stale.
Yeah, when you grind your beans, the longer they've been ground,
the worse they are. Yeah, it it does a small cycle
(05:58):
over there it goes and done. Yeah, I've refused to buy ground
for like 10 years just because of that.
And I noticed the flavor difference in that is just
horrible. So you know it was worth it to
buy a $1012.00 grinder and. I need to get one of those
little pods and get some of yourbeans so I can do those at work
'cause that would be I'd like toget I'd like to get my boss a
(06:20):
little bit that one. He loves espresso, which is.
They're dark. It's.
Just too dark. It just.
They don't have a good flavor, they're often burnt.
Yep. That's usually the flavor I get
from espresso though. And I mean, I'm really
particular on coffee, but going to coffee shops and that I
(06:43):
actually found one who I enjoyedtheir French press more than
like any of the other ones around here.
It's cool and it's one of the newer coffee shops and I was
talking to them like, oh, I actually roast my own.
She's like, do you sell and likeroast like half a pound a week?
Like maybe a pound a week. Dude, you should see like hey,
you guys want to get in on it and you want to name it after,
(07:03):
you know you can call this. Barely, barely baked Brandon's
beans. That's a mouthful.
It is the BBB but. Oh man, I I OK, so the strain's
kicking in. It's very heady.
This is more it could be indica leaning for the body.
I like it. It's kind of heavy in the body.
If you've got pain, I'm sure it would go right to it, but it's
(07:26):
it's nice. It's really subtle.
What's nice is that the cough doesn't stay.
I feel it in my chest, but I I don't feel like I got to keep
coughing. There are some other strains.
So yeah, miracine. Maybe more of miracine instead
of beta. Carefully I'm.
Very curious. It says.
It's like very citrusy and fruity flavors through there
(07:46):
with a little bit of sour skunkyin it.
It's. Kind of hard for me to taste.
I mean, I I like it. Well, I would say like more in
the flower side again, flour. You know, some of your
concentrates are going to have amazing flavors.
It's true. Great voodoo.
Oh. I love that one.
Has a great smell and a great flavor.
I would say one of our favorite strains that we've had tasting
(08:10):
wise is Key Lime. I keep going back to the that
was fucking years ago. That was years ago, you know, I
saw something. And real quick shout out to the
audience guys. You guys are amazing.
Thanks for kicking in and interacting and sharing your
thoughts and feelings. It's huge for us.
Yeah, I love all the comments, all the engagement.
Dude, it makes me. Smile.
(08:31):
It'll be middle of the day. I'm all dressed up for insurance
World. Yeah, and I see this message,
dude, and it just brightens me up.
It really does. Because it's just the mailman
always comments oh fuck, oh loveyou guys.
Excited for this next year. And I'm like, got an e-mail from
Tyler again, just checking in, like with his life and stuff and
(08:51):
like messages from the Patreon supporters.
And it's just cool that if you guys want to engage, that
there's more than just us sitting behind the mic and
spitting at you every week, twice a week, getting high.
Honestly, I like this. This is a pleasant strain.
It is very heady, not like tightness I feel.
(09:11):
It's at the top, like right at the very top like where my it's,
it makes your skin sensitive because you can feel like the
top of our heads headphones. Forehead.
Yeah, I don't feel it there. I feel it right here at the very
top and it's. No, I don't feel it in my
forehead. I'm aware of my forehead.
Oh, you're a like just I can feel.
Problems without feeling your forehead is there, I don't know
(09:33):
is a childhood accident. I mean, have you seen how many
times I got smacked in the head or like, ran into shit?
Yeah, true. All those lumps didn't come from
nowhere, no. Oh man, so this one's supposed
to be a very calming, happy, like, relaxing strain.
Not very cotton mouthy. This is a really nice.
(09:54):
Yeah, not overly. Now I could see I would say, and
I'm feeling it right now. Hold on one second.
I just want to doesn't sound very loud.
OK, there we. Hey, All right.
Sweet. So I will say I've had a little
bit more and this one definitelyfeels like an indica already.
Now it's going to depend low andslow, right, a few pulls.
(10:18):
So this is a great strain for longevity.
You could really get a lot out of that.
That's going to go like 3 or 4 sesh in that easy with the with
the big booger goop that you putin there.
But it's it's so pleasing and sorelaxing.
Too much of it could put you in the couch lock.
(10:38):
It could potentially like super relax just.
Overly sleepy or it's feeling like really heavy on my chest.
Oh, OK. And on the middle of my back.
Yeah, I feel it in the middle and in my shoulders.
It's very subtle. In my head, though, it's not.
Yeah. No, I can think, yes.
Pretty clear headed for being anindica hybrid.
I told you last night, I I made a concoction of three different
(11:00):
strains in my in my banger for my wife and I, my.
Wife. Yeah, you're saying Italian
bakery? Italian bake?
Have we done Italian bakery? No, I was going to ask you what
is that? No problem.
Did that come from? I've got it here.
Is it? It's a Moxie brand.
OK. For Valley Lowe's or do you?
I think it's Valley Lowe's. OK.
But I took Italian Bakery, Blue Steel and Zod, just a little bit
(11:25):
of each, put them in there. My wife got injured.
She was and she tried ibuprofen, she tried heat.
She still was uncomfortable no matter how she sat.
She just it's like 11:00 last night.
She said, hey, is there anythingyou have yeah, that's going to
take this away? And she, and so we went and did
(11:46):
that one. She's a champ.
She can do a whole bowl on her own.
And. BB.
She it was funny because it's literally like 5-10 minutes
after, yeah, we go back and sit in bed and and I really wanted
to read, but I just couldn't payattention and I was just like,
(12:06):
what the fuck? And I'm like, I'm conscious, but
I am. It's not even relaxed.
It's a you're a ghost. Like you don't exist.
And oh. Are you a floating consciousness
at this point? OK, yeah, it wasn't a moment
bad. They I was super aware but I'm
just like I was trying to find interest in something but I
couldn't find interest in anything.
(12:28):
And my wife was sitting there with her phone and I'm like, oh
she must be doing all right. So I go hey babe how you doing?
She goes. Been trying to text my sister
for the last 15 minutes and I just can't figure out what to
say. That's hilarious though.
But it took away all the pain. Yeah.
She's like, I feel it, but my brain doesn't let me register
it. I was like, yeah, that's what it
(12:49):
does. It's supposed to when it it hits
those CB1 and CB2 receptors, those CB2 receptors of your
muscles, of your skeletal system, your nervous system and
the CB one more of the cerebral.Yeah, that's what I noticed
because like before I got into cannabis, that's what I was
doing, was ibuprofen, alcohol, heating pad, and it wasn't
(13:09):
effective. You're just creating like super
blood thinners there. Yeah, and you're like cool.
Now I'm also heat on that also causes more inflammation
sometimes. Like it's good to go cold and
hot and cold and hot, but that'shard to do because when you do
the cold, it makes you cold to your like core and you don't
want to have a big ice pack on your back for hours.
(13:32):
Like it just, it's not the most enjoyable.
So cannabis and having that, like, I can imagine it was just
like such a Peace of Mind. Oh, dude, And that's the thing,
like, you know, more and more people are open to this idea.
I've got a a friend of mine, shehas pots.
OK, Yep. And yesterday she had probably
(13:52):
one of the worst flare ups that she's had in a long time and
couldn't move, couldn't go anywhere.
And it was really tragic. But the same time I'm just like,
you know, when those times come,it's it a lot of people try to
go, oh, I'm just going to go to an edible.
But hear me out. I think you should be seriously
considering concentrates on thatside because and and doing a
(14:16):
edible back. Yeah, on that, nothing strong
like a 5 to 10 milligram to slowly.
Depends on your pain and that, but yeah, the the instantaneous
of a dab or concentrate or an inhalable, it is so valuable
with someone with chronic pain or a really debilitating POTS,
(14:37):
you know, a flare up, something that's just kicking their ass
that day and they're going, how do I function?
How do I move forward in life? This would be really good
because it would I mean I did AIdid a back and arm a bicep
workout last night. OK and it's cool dude.
Like I've been off of TRT now for like 3 months and it was
(14:58):
rough that first month. I didn't want to go, but last
night I went and I was able to put in the work and I was
putting up weight that I was doing when I was on Yeah on
testosterone. So I was just like, man, I work
my back and I've been trying to work my lower back.
Have you ever done good mornings?
I don't. Know what that is?
I say good morning to everyone. Yeah.
So I'm going to do something on camera.
(15:19):
Wow, so you go. Like hide your kids.
So you're sitting on a bench andyou have a weight bar across the
back. Super light shoulders.
And then you just go like this. Oh yeah.
And what that does is it strengthens your lower back,
yeah. That's one of my regular ones I
do, but I don't do it with that. There's a machine that just does
(15:39):
the same. Thing try it with the bar
because then you can the you theresistance.
I've done machines, I've done bars.
I prefer free weights because they give me more of a mind to
muscle connection. Yeah, And I used to think that
was some stupid bodybuilding bullshit, But what it means is
(16:00):
that, like, what's the intent? It doesn't have to be heavy.
Like, there was these kids over there at the gym last night and
they know me and and they come over and they go, hey, man,
like, we're working out. What do you think?
And the kids, like, skinny shit. And he's curling like 40 lbs.
And I'm like, cool, that's a tiny muscle and you don't need a
ton of weight. And I was like, let me show you.
(16:20):
When you told me about that other one that the guy showed
you, that was like. Oh, it kicks your ass?
I did that Monday. My arms fucking hurt Thursday
still. Yeah.
I was like, Oh my God, like evendoing that.
So today is Saturday. I can feel some tightness.
Not not. I could go work out today on my
arms just fine, but like, there's still some tightness.
(16:40):
Dude I haven't got sore my biceps for years because. £15
That time I went down and I was like holy shit like this is
crazy. Yeah, you don't need much.
I the most I ever go on that andthat's when I'm feeling extra
saucy as I go up to 25. That's it.
But even then, dude, like the guy told me he's just like,
yeah, if you keep going anymore, you're going to give yourself
(17:01):
tennis elbow. And he said to this all in
Spanish to me, which I understood.
That was fucking crazy. How high were you?
Power of cannabis. Literally what you can.
Learn Spanish by being high. That's all it takes.
Well, it. Made my mind so relaxed that it
recalled a lot of it. It was just like he was saying
things and I'm like, how the fuck do I know what he's saying?
But it was really cool because what I loved about, and this
(17:24):
goes perfectly with what we're talking about with this strain.
So I did that workout last night. 20 lbs.
I was literally screaming by my third.
Set. Oh yeah, yeah, your arms are.
Like because I was teaching these kids, I'm like because
they're doing that and I'm like get 15 lbs and the kids are
like, well, and I'm like, dude, nobody cares.
It's. Because the ego of like, well
someone else is going to see me and think I'm such a twink and
(17:44):
look and it's like, who the fuckcares what they think?
Yeah, no dude, that's what I've.Started realizing I'm like I
don't give a shit. Everyone here is like probably
thinking the same thing. Like got some sort of body
dysmorphia going, man, everyone's probably looking at
me or doing this. I'm like.
You know how nobody would pay? Attention to you're here.
Just pull your Dick out. If you pulled your Dick out now
(18:07):
you can be judged, you know? What I've hated Oh my gosh, the
gym this last week has been insane.
Yes, the New Years. Always is.
That's why I love going to a small tiny gym.
Nobody goes. To neighborhood like the
community one, that'd be perfect.
I don't have that. Well, it, that's the one thing I
aspire to. You know, I've, I've heard I was
(18:28):
on LinkedIn a little while ago back.
I still don't know if I want to go back to that thing because
it's just so. Lame.
It's just fucking lame. Dude all I'm watching is this
people doing this. Look at my penis.
Yeah, look. Look at look at all the cool
things I do. And if you guys didn't know, I
do a lot of humanitarian work. You know, it's just like, you
(18:51):
know, Brandon and I talked aboutthat one of our one of our
dreams and one of our goals is to be able to get this up to the
point where one, of course we're, we're making money, but
to go help people to help people.
Like I like those videos where you see, you know, Shaq and a
Walmart, which fucking planned, I'm sure.
But you know, it was the intent behind it.
And you got this family over there.
And he's like, Hey, we just wantto get you some bucks.
(19:13):
And he buys them all this shit. I want to be in a place where I
can do that. Like, if I'm in line and I see
this woman over there and she pulls out her EBT card and she's
got three kids and she's single.Like, you know, I know a lot of
hate was given to people who didEBT.
You don't know who the fuck theyare, what they're going through.
Life is not all of them. I mean, hey, I will tell you
this. My dad was a Medicaid social
(19:35):
worker for 15 years. The people he didn't like,
Hispanics, Russians and Vietnamese, and the reason why
it was at that time, now this isin late 90s, early 2000s, he
said. That was constant.
They were always there. They would have refugees come
here and they would come to the Medicaid or the Department of
(19:57):
Workforce Services with luggage in their hand, applying for food
stamps, Section A and financial aid.
And it was infuriating to him because he's like, on Sundays,
my dad loved to work at like Ross really, or TJ Maxx.
(20:18):
My dad, well, my dad grew up when he grew up in.
Some clothes and stuff too. Well, and there's a reason
behind it. Like when he was 14 years old,
he was dicking off in class. He was kicked out of school
because he wouldn't pay attention.
And at that time, school's a privilege, not a right.
So if you didn't want to be there, he comes home.
His mother's like, OK, she didn't get mad at him or hit
(20:38):
him. She said you have to get a job
tomorrow. He worked full time.
I don't think he was 14. I think he was younger now.
He worked full time. If he wanted clothes, he had to
buy him, and they were tailored to him because back then they
didn't have it off the rack. Yeah, he had to go to somebody.
So all of his clothes were handmade, but they were high
quality shoes. Handmade.
(21:01):
What a cool time. Yeah, that'd.
Be wild. You would love.
That. Oh my God, yeah, that would be
so. Cool.
I love my jeans and my T-shirt. But dude, I'll tell you this.
Like, it's cool to hear that, but my dad would work at these
places because he just enjoyed adeal.
Yeah, my dad's cheap as fuck andI love that your dad's cheap,
right in some things. He only in the clothes he wears.
(21:23):
Yes, like if he's going to go ona trip or car.
Everything else it seems like he's OK just blowing all the
money in the world. But the clothes he wears, you
see him. If he was walking in the store,
you'd never know. I I would only like a bum.
I would only buy his shirt if one it appealed to me.
So I love Captain America, but Iwould rather buy clothes from
(21:43):
like a thrift store because one,I mean, it still got use.
Yeah. I don't know.
I just think I get older and I just go.
I don't give a fuck anymore, like I don't.
Care. Yeah, more of my clothes come
from Costco because they're softand the shirt or pants or
whatever is like 10 bucks and I'm like, oh damn.
And looking for the. Deal.
(22:03):
Yeah. And I'm like, this is a great
deal. This is quality fabric.
It feels nice. I'm going to enjoy wearing this.
I don't give a fuck that it's 10or 12 bucks.
Like I'll buy that over, you know, A50 eighty, $90.00 shirt
any day. Oh dude, like.
Or like rock revivals or True Religion jeans.
I used to buy that shit. I'm going yeah, the $150.00
(22:24):
jeans compared to the $10 pants.I'll take the fucking $10 pants.
I'm glad I grew up poor dude, because you know, for the
longest time I just didn't know what name brands were.
I didn't either. Well, of course you didn't.
Yeah, it wasn't until I started buying my own and.
Yeah, you guys grew up with burlap sacks and like, you know.
It was like Shopko or Walmart shoes and I'm going to buy them
(22:44):
big so it lasts you 2 years at school and I'm going to go to
buy buy Walmart clothes and they're going to be the matching
sets that are hideous and brightvibrant colors.
Or something. I don't get the shoe thing
because that can hurt you. My mom was super frugal and she
didn't understand. Did she like make you guys weigh
like 3 socks just to fit into those?
No, no. It'd just be like a size too big
and she'd be like, well, tie them and you'll grow into them
(23:07):
like next year. It'll be great.
And you know, wearing two years worth.
Living, yeah, definitely right. And I think I appreciate that
more so now than ever I have. You know, it's one of the things
I really like out here in Utah is desert industries because.
Savers or like, oh dude. Incredibly cheap, yeah, and they
don't care. Well, you go out to like Park
(23:27):
City or Cottonwood Heights area, you're like, oh look, these
still have price tags on them from the original.
They have never been worn. Yep.
And you can go get like really high end, high quality name
brands that you're getting for 1/10 of the like price that you
would have paid. Oh, and you know, for those, you
know, if you're near like this is one thing I really do like
(23:48):
about the what the LDS Church does is with desert industries.
If you go in there and you're like, look, I just can't even
afford anything right now, but Ineed clothes.
Do you up? That's cool.
They will totally help you. They'll get a Bishop over there
to sign an order just for their records and then they give you
whatever you want and, and it's so cool because there's some
really cool like I got this nicevest for work because.
(24:11):
Look, it's work. No, it's my shirt might be
wrinkled underneath like I got summer creases.
Summer here. Summer.
There, right? So it's like my son, my son came
because I'm growing a beard. I'm like, who the fuck told you
you're growing a beard? And Nick, my 16 year old, he's
like, yeah, look, check it out. It's coming in.
Has he got Peach fuzz? Yeah dude, my nuts got for.
Liking him for a kid, that's exciting.
(24:34):
I remember being super young andmy buddy's like look, I've got
chest hair and I'm like fuck, I look like a 12 year old kid
like. Dude it depends on the time if I
would have grown like I I. I had a soul patch pretty much
right here. Geez, at 14.
Rug. At 14, dude, by the time I was
18 I had a full head. I had a full chest of hair.
(24:57):
Geez. And it's just like, I didn't
have a happy trail, you know? And and then there was some
other poor bastards that had like a full fucking sweater.
Yeah, they're wearing like carpet vest and you're like, oh.
Shit dude, there was this guy used to train in Muay Thai and
