womb, Jesus.
Quote from St.
Thomas More.
(02:05):
Give me, good Lord, such a lovefor you, that I will love
nothing in a way that displeasesyou, and I will love everything
for your sake.
(02:26):
Natural love is sufficient forearthly parents, but the love
which Joseph bore to Jesus ashis appointed father was not a
mere human love.
It was also a super-eminentlydivine love.
For in loving the Son, he wasexercising the most perfect love
of God, since he whom he calledhis Son was at the same time his
(02:48):
God.
As in creatures, all is finite,so all is capable of increase.
What, then, may we imagine, musthave been the growth of this
ardent love in the heart of oursaint during the long period
which he spent with Jesus?
Those things which tendnaturally to add to human love,
in him ministered fresh fuel tothe divine flame within him.
(03:12):
The constant association withthe Son of God made man, and
given to him as his own son, theserving him and being served by
him for thirty years.
And we must add, their marvelousresemblance created a bond
between them which was unequaledof its kind.
(03:33):
Scripture verse of the day.
I know that whatever God doesendures forever.
Nothing can be added to it, noranything taken from it.
God has made it so, in orderthat men should fear before him.
That which is, already has been.
That which is to be, already hasbeen.
