I'm good, I'm here all right, I'm awake.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
Well before before we get to our guests. This a
caller called, I know, holding on through the news, and
he actually held on right. He had a show, yes
before the show, and he's actually stayed on hold very patiently. Yes,
I might add hold on. I like some of there
who can't wait ten seconds on hold before you hang up.
High caller, you're on the air.
Speaker 8 (04:03):
Hey, good morning. I have a couple issues. Number one,
how is it possible that Congress people can have dual citizenship?
Basically they are American citizens and then they have residency
or citizenship in other countries. And my other subject is
how can they finance our tax dollars to other countries
(04:26):
when they take an oath directly to affirm the Constitution
and we represent American citizens, and yet today two hundred
billion dollars and shift over to Ukraine, and then ten
or twenty billion dollars is shift over to Israel. How
in God's good green earth can Americans put up with
this nonsense and continue paying their tax dollars to a
(04:50):
government that doesn't represent them.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Well because their traders and their oaths are meaningless to them.
Thank you for the call. Two fifteen eighty toll free
eight eight eight four four one fifteen eighty. We brought
some guests.
Speaker 9 (05:04):
Yes, we have some wonderful guests, and I just want
to quickly we understand the crash that happened last night,
and we have some breaking news with that real quick
if you're want to get the breaking news, Yes, and
the breaking news. Newly appointed Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has said.
Speaker 7 (05:21):
Quote Gordon Duffy, Sean Duffy, former Hollywood star.
Speaker 9 (05:24):
I didn't realize that as a Scott Weinberg attorney just
brought to our attention. Yes, uh, he said quote. Whether
it was air traffic control, whether it was military aircraft, helicopters,
or the American flight everything was standard in the lead
up to the crash. Something happened here. Yeah, So we
finally have an administration that understands something's a little fishy. Yeah,
(05:46):
and they need to look into it.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
From the air traffic controller to the helicopter that I
how did you miss?
Speaker 7 (05:52):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (05:53):
Something that bright? I mean the headlights are on. Yeah,
final approach. Yeah, something's a little weird here.
Speaker 7 (05:59):
Correct. So we will have more details as they come
to us.
Speaker 9 (06:02):
So we have fantastic guests right here of course, Attorney
Scott Weinberg, and for the first time in studio because
his sentence has been commuted by President Donald J.
Speaker 7 (06:12):
Trump. It is David Morschell. How are you may great? Thanks,
good to see you.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
Great to finally meet you in person. Yes, after having
me on the podcast and the show before.
Speaker 10 (06:21):
Yeah, because I've been I've been in custody for two years.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
Tell if you would, you know, like, like we've had
some others before, just tell us your story again and
particularly the aftermath.
Speaker 10 (06:34):
Wow, that's a very broad question. But no, I you know,
I was a part of the oath Keepers, right And
the only reason why I got involved with the oath
Keepers was because everybody has to remember the context in
which everything took place in the summer of twenty twenty.
You know, we had the Summer of Love quote unquote
(06:55):
with all the peaceful burnings and the peace maimings of
other people, right, so, and that that was starting to
make its way down from Tampa to Sarasota, and then
of course where we are here. I mean I don't
live too far from from you guys. Uh, you know,
we we got Venice, Northport and then us. So I
(07:16):
needed someone to call to, you know, come help if
these black clad people came to my neighborhood because they
were terrorizing neighborhoods too. I mean Mark McCluskey. Uh, Scott
and I are gonna be on Mark McCluskey show tomorrow.
Actually he called me out of the blue. That was
that was really cool.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Uh.
Speaker 10 (07:32):
But so you know, he he's the guy that stood
out front of his home with his wife and had
the gun right and because the Antifa was coming into our.
Speaker 7 (07:44):
You know, we know what you're talking about.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
Names are a little no, I know you're talking about
excuse me.
Speaker 10 (07:50):
Yeah, So so you know, I was afraid of I
was afraid of my own safety. I'm not law enforcement.
I don't have military background anything like that. So I
wanted somebody to call, so I got involve. I didn't
even get involved with them, per se. I never met him,
didn't even know their real names. I was only in
the Florida Oathkeeper group for nineteen days before January sixth,
(08:12):
nineteen days.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
And were you like what on a Facebook page or
it was like signal chat?
Speaker 10 (08:17):
Okay, yeah, it's just a signal chat. So they found
out that I was a medical professional that and they
were excited about that because they were going to have
an emergency room physician that was there on January sixth,
and they they wanted my help. So in three days
before January sixth, I agreed to go in a last
minute decision, and so that's how I ended up there
(08:39):
on January six and.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
Inside outside, inside, outside the capitle.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Yeah yeah, tell them the story about how you stormed
the capitol.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Yes, oh yeah, yes, guns a blazing, I tried to.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
Take over the government.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (08:58):
Well we actually, we finally did put together a video
using publicly available video now of my eleven minutes in
the Capitol, and it will bore you to tears because
it is.
Speaker 9 (09:10):
Like hands in the pockets, like, well, look at that.
Speaker 3 (09:13):
Really beautiful marble work here.
Speaker 10 (09:16):
I think for maybe like three minutes solid, I'm practically
hiding behind a statue. I mean, you know, people call,
you know, people riot or whatever and say you're here,
you're here, Like, really, I didn't do anything heroic on
that day. It was about you know, I mean, honestly speaking,
everything after that day, you know, then you might be
able to call it heroic, just standing up to the
to the intimidation from the prior administration. Yeah, so so yeah,
(09:42):
So we're We're at the Ellipse at the Trump rally,
right and basically, I mean the the wheels started falling
off immediately because one of the reasons why I'd agreed
to go and this this is gonna sound so it's
gonna sound so bad, but they said that we were
going to be a to work with the Secret Service
to protect Trump. I know, I'm admitting to being so naive.
(10:06):
If you have like a you know, a button or
something like, that's perfect, perfect, yeah, but I mean everybody
else was taking it seriously. So I just well, I
mean I don't have any experience.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
I had friends calling me saying are you going, Like no.
Speaker 10 (10:25):
So so I went, you know, and they wanted me.
They wanted me to help them with medical and then
and then I was going to get this experience that
I mean, if you're able to help protect the president,
that's gonna look good on a resume, isn't it.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (10:36):
I mean, so so we went there and uh, whe'll
started falling off immediately, Like we got to the rally
and Secret Service was.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
Like, no, are you talking about Kelly?
Speaker 10 (10:48):
Meg said, well, I guess uh, Alli Alexander doesn't have
the pool that he thinks he has because we were
supposed to help protect Alli Alexander, Roger Stone, Diamond and
Silk some some other congressmen. We're gonna pro tecked all
these people right as we had this big group for security.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
And if we just talk about Ali Alexander, if everybody remembers,
he was a very large podcaster back in twenty twenty
who was part of the Stop the Steel movement.
Speaker 7 (11:12):
I recognize the name.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
After twenty twenty, it was alleged that he was texting
with fifteen year old boys and is now out of
the Stop the Steel movement and the Trump movement.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
You know, there's so many grifters in the movement, you know,
and they always wind up outing themselves.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Yeah, And that was one of the things that we've
talked about in the past is a lot of the
what we call the right wing grifters had convinced all
these people to go to January sixth because they wanted
their numbers.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
To look big. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
Yeah, So they ended up instead of working security, just
being the crowd for all of the lower level right
wing pundits. But go ahead with your story.
Speaker 10 (11:49):
Dude, Yeah, so Kelly Meggs told everybody and we're you know,
everybody was all disappointed. They were saying, like, we didn't
come all this way just for just for a Trump rally.
I mean, no, no offense, I mean Trump. But it
was thirty something degrees outside. We were all freezing to death.
I mean it was terrible, Like, you know, I've lived
a thousand miles away, like.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
Yeah, I'm a Floridian.
Speaker 10 (12:10):
Yeah TV Yeah, Like no, I'm not gonna anyway. So
after a while we just left and started getting you know,
getting getting put back together. Okay, now we're going to
go and escort these people, right, So new mission. We're
going to escort the people to the to the to
the rally that was permitted at the Capitol. So there
(12:31):
was actually a legitimate reason to go to the Capitol.
There was this permitted rally there. Well, except all the
people that we were going to take there, they left
on their own. They didn't need us because and also
another thing to remember is, you know, in December, there
was something like four people that were stabbed by these
black clad people at a at a Trump rally in December,
(12:54):
So everybody was afraid they were these black clad people
were running out behind other like Trumps supporters and hitting
them on the back of the head with bricks and
all this stuff, and it was terror and chaos, right,
so everybody was afraid. But when we got there in
January sixth, it was there was no of these black
clad people. There weren't counter protesters, and that was very
(13:15):
strange because they were they had.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
Such a big rest, they didn't they didn't need the
black clad almost like yeah, yeah, where.
Speaker 10 (13:24):
Are these people? Right, so sore there really wasn't a
security need and we ended up there was something like
I don't know fifteen people that were escorting like this
one the mother of a congressman that from the rally
to the to the capital for this permitted event. Right,
So we're walking along the way and at some point
we start hearing this booming sounds. I'm like, what is
(13:46):
going on? Everybody's looking around, and then there's talk of
a gunshot wound, there's talk of there's talk of uh
people breaking into the to the Capitol and so now
it's starting to sound like this mass casualty event. The
the oathkeeper medic contacts the group and says hey, and
he's like an emergency room physician. Hey, I'm overwhelm with casualties.
(14:08):
I'm sending people to the hospital. All this this is
all in the trial transcripts. I mean, this is all there.
It's all documented that this took place. So Kelly Meg's
starts saying, Okay, well, now our new mission is we're
going to go support the medic So I'm switching gears here.
We're now walking towards this disaster area, this mass casualty event.
(14:29):
The prosecutors were like, oh, David didn't run away from
the event. He ran to the event. Well, yeah, that's
what a man does. A man goes to where the
need is. A man doesn't cower. A man goes where
he can help, where he can be of service. And
so that's what we.
Speaker 7 (14:45):
Did, especially since you were the medical professional.
Speaker 10 (14:48):
Yeah exactly. It's like, okay, it's my turn. You know,
I'm also a trained crisis chaplain. My wife and I
were deployed to Katrina after the hurricane so or to
New Orleans after the Hurricane Katrina. Right, so we have
all this experience in crises situations, and myself in trauma.
I work in trauma surgery, so you know, if there's
(15:09):
a gunshot wound. I could have helped the I could
have helped the er doctor, you know, in a way
that even maybe some nurses couldn't do because of my
own experience. So even though I'm not a physician, but
so that's what we were going into. That's my mindset.
My mindset is also like, Okay, the capital has been
broken into, most secure building in the world. They're going
to secure that building. That building's not going to get
(15:31):
broken into. This is not a concern for me any longer.
Now I am assuming that everything that takes place is
going to be outside of the building.
Speaker 3 (15:38):
Okay, and right there, hang on, there'll be more right
after this. Hello, everybody, this is Montecoy.
Speaker 7 (15:45):
He's my lion.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
I have a lion. Now. We'll be right.
Speaker 11 (15:48):
Back with Charlotte County Speaks News Radio fifteen to eighty WCCF.
Speaker 12 (15:55):
They say that the devil's biggest trick or ruse is
that able to convince people that he doesn't exist. Well,
the same thing holds true with the government and taxes.
Here we go. I'm gonna go through I'm just going
to start listing taxes that are hidden. Well, someone not
hidden Federal income tax, state income tax, county property tax,
(16:16):
sales tax or security tax, disability tax, medicare tax, unemployment tax,
utility tax across nearly every utility, communications taxes, recycle tax,
battery tax, emissions taxes, highway use tax, short term rental tax,
climate change tax, refuse disposal tax, airline tax, transportation tax, city.
Speaker 13 (16:40):
Transportation tax, municipal district improvement.
Speaker 12 (16:43):
Tax, vehicle tax, off road vehicle tax, ferry tax, leaking,
underground storage tax.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
And I can go on, but I'm losing my breath.
Speaker 13 (16:51):
Get the picture, Watchdog on Wall Street dot Com.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
Long intro, What are you gonna do?
Speaker 7 (17:27):
That's okay?
Speaker 3 (17:29):
Frog heard It? News Radio fifteen eighty one hundred point
nine FMWCC, Charlotte County speaks at nine twenty nine on
a Thursday with a little kiss and cold gin.
Speaker 7 (17:46):
Nice and Yes. On this day.
Speaker 9 (17:47):
In nineteen seventy three, after recently changing their name from
Wicked Lester because that's a good band name, right there,
Gene Simmons and the crew made their first appearance a
Kiss at the Popcorn Club in Queens Wicked.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
Wicked Lesters Okay Yeah two l six fifteen eighty toll
free eight eight eight four four one fifteen eighty. Back
to your story. You're you're there. Yeah, you're heading towards
the capitol.
Speaker 10 (18:23):
Yeah, we're heading towards the capitol. And uh, you know
we got with the booming sounds. Just recap we have
booming sounds, shots fired.
Speaker 3 (18:30):
Now, was this when they were starting to fire the
tear gas into the crowd and the rubber bullets. Yes,
instigating the Uh.
Speaker 10 (18:38):
But you know what's well, you know what's interesting when
we when we actually got there, because we were still
maybe a mile away when all this happened. So when
we actually got there twenty twenty five minutes later, I
didn't see any rioting. Now we came up around the side,
around the side of the capitol. There there were no barriers.
There was nothing that indicated you're not supposed to be here,
(19:00):
like all those barriers had been mysteriously removed by masked people.
Uh yeah, so there was no sign that that this
is restricted area. So we so we walk up there.
We're I don't even know what side of the capitol
it is, but where the fountains are right, not where
the scaffolding was, but on the other side.
Speaker 7 (19:19):
Right.
Speaker 10 (19:20):
So so we get there and you know, this is
the biggest riot, you know, worst events since nine to eleven. Right, So, uh,
I look over there and I look at the steps
of the Capitol and it's covered with people, and you
know what they're doing, singing the national anthem. And I've
never been to a riot before, but uh, I can
recognize one when I see it, right, And.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
That's just like gathering a riot.
Speaker 8 (19:45):
Yes.
Speaker 10 (19:45):
So, so we're milling around there and they're saying, you know,
we're again we're trying to find the oath keeper medic
and uh they're starting to talk about a doorway or whatever,
and so we so my assumption is the oath keeper
medics outside the doorway. So we start going up the stairs,
you know, the stairs towards the Capitol because I'm thinking
that keeper medica somewhere outside the doorway, and that's where
(20:08):
we're going. So and so this is the uh, the
infamous stack formation where they moved and practice, you know,
in a practiced manner.
Speaker 7 (20:16):
You know, the.
Speaker 3 (20:16):
Military said you did with military precision.
Speaker 10 (20:20):
And I mean if you knew the rag tag group
of people hands on each other's backs, well that's how
that's I mean, that's like four year olds do this
when they go to the playground. I mean, this is
not military.
Speaker 7 (20:30):
It was like the three.
Speaker 10 (20:34):
They just made. You know, they wanted the headline, that's
what they wanted it to look like.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
Well, that's a big scott. That's a prosecutor's job too,
is to get dramatic and build a story. Right.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
Yes, uh, they you know over exaggerate. I mean now
I'm watching you know, not all the time, but MSNBC
and CNN, and they have these former prosecutors that were retired,
were resigned after Trump became president, who prosecuted the January
six ers, and they're talking about the January sixth ers
as if they're like isis And it's comical because we
(21:05):
were in the trial. It's comical that they would even
refer to them in such terms. But you know, everybody's
out there trying to get a sound bite and trying
to make a buck and trying to smear the right wing.
And it's unfortunate because because if you saw the evidence
that was released a trial, which is released to the public,
you would know that these guys are just normal patriots
(21:27):
who probably should have went into the cable.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
And that's been almost to a man and woman that's
been the case, and when you see the way that
the left has turned that around and refuses to acknowledge
the truth that everybody knows once just I mean, we
haven't even seen all the video yet, have.
Speaker 7 (21:48):
We not yet?
Speaker 4 (21:49):
Not yet.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
It reminds me of the very fine people on both sides.
Speaker 7 (21:53):
Why yeah, yeah, Well because it's a headline.
Speaker 9 (21:56):
It's a headline that they come out with, knowing that
the general public don't go past the headline.
Speaker 7 (22:01):
They don't actually look into well what kind of person
are you? What? What what actually happened that day?
Speaker 9 (22:06):
It's two seconds to read it, but normal you know,
quote unquote normal people out there don't take some time
to do it.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
It's also the criminal gang maintaining the lie because any
other any other narrative that is going to show their guilt.
And so they got to just you know, keep the
lie going. Pelosi, the rest of them, bow Bowser and the.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
Whole you know, they're in for a penny, in for
a pound. Yeah, they got to push it all the way.
Now they're still going back. It's very frustrating.
Speaker 3 (22:32):
Because treeson there's consequences, even though there hasn't been any
consequences for people's trees and on the.
Speaker 7 (22:38):
Lefty Mark Milly got all of his portraits taken down.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
I guess that's the best week and hope for that.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
Well, I think the real the real consequence, and it's
unfortunate that both sides are suffering these consequences. But nobody's
going to believe in the d o J for a
very for.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
A very long time. Yeah, and again, like I said,
you know, the FBI comes out four hours after this
crash that there shouldn't be involved in at all. It's
an faad OD investigation, army investigation, and they're coming out
four hours later saying, oh, there wasn't any terrors. I'm
nothing to worry about here. Just because the FBI said it,
I'm all of a sudden suspicious.
Speaker 7 (23:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
Well, the FBI needs a lot of work. I mean,
the FBI under Joe Biden's administration. You know, I always
say the only difference between that FBI and the criminals
is the uniform.
Speaker 3 (23:22):
Exactly.
Speaker 7 (23:23):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 3 (23:24):
Well, sadly that's kind of the case in the ATF
as well.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
Yeah, anotherization that does not need to exist exactly.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
So you know, so eleven minutes you're in there, you're
looking around, you leave after you leave, what what do
you do? You go back to your hotel room and
then head home or yeah.
Speaker 10 (23:45):
So I never saw a single act of violence the
whole time I was in the Capitol walk going up
to the Capitol, the whole until we were about to leave.
It was like maybe four four thirty. We're about to leave,
I saw somebody with something trying to break a window
at the Capitol the outside, and I thought.
Speaker 9 (24:01):
That's so sad, like why would you do that?
Speaker 10 (24:07):
And uh so when we're when we're up there, you
know the doors, Uh, first of all, we're we're on
the side where the Columbus door's arm and those are
supposed to be closed. Tell me why were they opened
that day? Those are supposed to be later, like much
later in the day. They're always closed. But then they
opened from the inside, and uh there was this great
(24:30):
like soccer stadium push that just pushed everybody in. As
a matter of fact, we have video where you can
hear people yelling from the back, yelling push, push, and
then there's other people like myself saying stone push, stop pushing,
because I mean you were like you were like this,
So you have on the video. We've got Joseph Hackett.
He's holding onto the door trying not to go in,
and then he gets, you know, swept in. You we
(24:52):
have on video Kelly Megs getting swept up off his feet.
He's a big guy. He's like to sixty sixty three
or something like that. He's a big guy. The c
out sweeps him up. You can see him coming up
up off his feet getting swept in. So so I
didn't want to I didn't want to be in the capitol.
Speaker 7 (25:08):
Did he getiracy twelve years? Yeah, twelve or thirteen years
or being swept in for not wanting to go in.
Speaker 10 (25:15):
I mean, the the alarms were blairing and everything. Now
I work in the operating room. I'm a scientist. I
don't like crowds. I don't like that. That is not
I am not like that at all. I didn't want
to be in there. And you know that if if
you were to uh slip and fall into a restricted area,
if you were to parachute and actually fall accidentally fall
into a restricted area, if it's not of your own volition,
(25:36):
it's not a crime. So I mean I would maintain
that even you know, there's a sense in which I
was not even guilty of a trespassed. I didn't want
to be in there, and I got out as soon
as I could. I walked around, and there's a whole
I mean, we've got they tried to say we were
looking for Nancy Pelosi. I mean, uh.
Speaker 3 (25:52):
That, yeah, and nobody's looking for.
Speaker 10 (25:57):
And that just absolutely didn't happen, and they couldn't prove
substantiated on the video we've got. You know, we've got
video that proves that we were where we said we were.
And so anyway, so you know, come going back, I
mean about four thirty, which just left, Yeah, and then
overnight in the next day, I could tell I could
see where this was going. I could see the headlines,
and you know, I knew that, I knew that we
(26:19):
would probably be pursued, and so you know, I left
the Oathkeepers group entirely on January seventh.
Speaker 7 (26:28):
The next day.
Speaker 3 (26:29):
All right, we're going to take another break and come
back with more on news radio fifteen eighty.
Speaker 11 (26:34):
We'll be right back with Charlotte County Speaks, News Radio
fifteen eighty WCCF.
Speaker 14 (26:40):
I will say, your perspective on almost everything changes once
you have kids, and again minor eighty six and two,
and I will say something that has become very haunting
to receive in the mail for us is a wedding invitation.
But what is worse is when they say, we're inviting
your whole family.
Speaker 10 (26:59):
To win our special day.
Speaker 14 (27:01):
And that is only something that a dumb, unmarried couple
would think is a good idea, because they don't know
yet the kids will ruin any day special or otherwise.
And when I have three young kids in a wedding,
I'm just dreading the moment that I'm gonna have to
go out on the dance floor interrupt the father daughter
dance and be like, Hi, I'm so sorry to interrupt.
Congratulations sir, she makes a beautiful bride.
Speaker 5 (27:22):
Hey, our kids ate your cake.
Speaker 10 (27:23):
They ate the whole cake. I don't know what to say.
Speaker 14 (27:25):
The cake is gone, and I could tell it's a
really expensive cake, but it's kind of your fault because
we never should have been here. And anyway, thank you,
by the way for making them wear tiny tuxedos. You
don't know this yet about kids with their favorite thing
in the world to do is go to a formal wareplace.
Why guy tells him to stand still with pins in
his mouth.
Speaker 10 (27:40):
Thank you for that. Well in north of Carolina, we's
back in the heel him out the end.
Speaker 5 (27:56):
They had him a steel he brewed what lot until the.
Speaker 7 (27:59):
Sun win down and tell him a jug.
Speaker 10 (28:02):
And it passed around d him mighty please and bactis
corns please.
Speaker 3 (28:11):
News Radio fifteen eighty one hundred point nine FM, Wccfradio
dot Com nine forty four here at Charlotte County speaks
on a Thursday morning with no show. Jones.
Speaker 9 (28:21):
Yeah, should have waited for Armstrong for this song, yea,
but yes, this is a this is an interesting one.
I had to play this on this day. In twenty
twenty two, American session keyboard player Hargus Pig Robbins, who
you hear playing piano right now, died at the age
of eighty four.
Speaker 7 (28:42):
It gets better.
Speaker 9 (28:43):
He was blind, having poked himself in the eye with
a knife at the age of three, and later learned
to play the piano at age seven while attending the
Nashville School for the Blind. He played his first session
in nineteen fifty seven, with his first major recording being
George Jones's White Lightning. He played on records for many artists,
including Patsy Klein, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Kenny Rogers, Charlie Rich,
(29:07):
Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Jjkal, Mark Knopfler, Merle Haggard, and
Roger Miller. Wow, so there you good, Nobody remembers Hargus
Pig Robbins.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
Well we here's too, ya Hargus.
Speaker 7 (29:22):
Yes, gosh.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
So in the you've you've left the Capitol, now you're
going you go back. How many days after uh, were
you contacted by the FBI or your house raided or
what transpired here?
Speaker 10 (29:41):
Yeah, So it didn't take long before I started seeing
people in my group getting arrested, and so it was
probably in May when they contacted me. It was later
later in May, and Scott and I had already formed
a relationship there as far as you know, the contacting
him to be my attorney. And so the FBI called me,
(30:05):
left a message. I didn't call him back. I let
Scott call him back, and so they wanted to talk.
So we met, We talked, and I warm out, what
do you think, Scott? Three and a half hours, I
just told him, if I had nothing to hide, we
didn't do anything wrong.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
Well, ninety nine percent of the time I would never
let a client talk to law enforcement, but after hearing
David's story, I didn't think he did anything wrong and
it was already on video, so I said, it doesn't
hurt to talk to the FBI. So David talked to
him for three hours, didn't implicate anybody but himself. And
part of the reason I did that is because I
saw how everybody else was houses were getting raided when
(30:42):
they were getting arrested, so I wanted the FBI to
think that we were going to play ball with them.
I kept telling the AUSA until like the day the
trial was set that David was going to take a plea,
even though he really never had any intention to take
a plea, just to try to soften them up and
drag it out and make sure that they didn't raid.
Speaker 7 (30:59):
His house play their game. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
Well, you know, you do what you got to do
as a defense attorney to protect your client. And I
think that's one of the reasons David, I think, is
the only oathkeeper who was not held in custody for
more than a day before his arrest, and he was
the only one whose house wasn't raided.
Speaker 10 (31:17):
Yeah, and I would have been out earlier if my
wife had answered the phone.
Speaker 7 (31:24):
I don't know anybody at this number.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
So so how it happened, you know how long afterwards?
Speaker 10 (31:36):
So we we talked to them in May and then
they it was in July first when Scott called me.
That's my wife's birthday. They called and said they wanted
me to turn myself in the next day. How about
that for a birthday present for your wife?
Speaker 7 (31:54):
Yeah, so the next day, like they didn't know that?
Speaker 3 (31:57):
Yeah, sure, yeah, I'm sure.
Speaker 10 (31:58):
Yeah, that's that's a good point. I ever thought that
was the intentional It could be anyway. So next day,
that's when I turned myself in. Scott went with me.
They said we'll have you out of here by eleven.
I'm not joking. They had to call my wife to confirm,
you know, the information that I gave, and so you
didn't know the numbers did answers by the time I
(32:20):
walked out of there. It wasn't their fault. They were
really trying to help me out. So but did you
know this that that even if you do not have
an Internet based crime, that they can actually keep you
from having Internet in your home, having any computers in
your home, from having any cell phone that's one of
the conditions they attached to the oathkeepers, specifically that we
were not allowed to have Internet on our phone, Internet
(32:40):
in our home, no computers, no smartphones. I had to
go get a little dumb phone. We had to send
away our computers and my child's kindle fire. You know,
we couldn't have it in the house. For non Internet
based crime. They can do that to you.
Speaker 1 (32:58):
Scott your thought, Yeah, the FBI does that and the
DOJ does that to make it more difficult to assist
in your defense. So not having access to Internet, not
having access to cell phones. I mean every time David
would have to text me, it was on an old
flip phone, so it would take them an extra twenty second.
So any little thing that they can do to make
your life more difficult, they do it. They already have
(33:21):
the advantage of the entire federal government, but they try
to squeeze every inch out of you. So they give
us discovery on a computer. How can David review it
if he's not allowed to access to computer with the internet, right.
Speaker 7 (33:33):
You have to print out the one hundred pages.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
Or you'd have to come in my office. And that's
you know, it's just a hassle, and they do it
on purpose. They know exactly what they're doing. You know,
they wanted to pretend. And if they ever told you
under a lot of detector, they would tell you. They
know the Oathkeepers aren't a terrorist organization. Oh yes, but
they pretended because it was good for TV. It was
good for the twenty twenty two election, and they thought
it was going to be good for the twenty twenty
(33:56):
four election. And that dog doesn't hunt anymore. And it's
a because the truth.
Speaker 3 (34:00):
Is out and it looked pretty suspect from that. How
do you call that a riot after what we just
witnessed over the last three summers. You know you're calling
that a riot.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
I find a lot of the times you'll realize that
people accuse you of what they're guilty of.
Speaker 3 (34:17):
Oh yeah, all the Democrats are masters of projection. That's
what they do, that's how they live.
Speaker 1 (34:24):
So David and I ended up we worked how long
was it before trial?
Speaker 3 (34:27):
Like two years?
Speaker 1 (34:28):
We worked together? Oh yeah, it was a long time.
And tell them about how they threatened you with all
the plea offers.
Speaker 10 (34:36):
Yeah, so right away. And this is something that Scott
pointed out early on. He said to me almost verbatim, David,
I have never seen prosecutors so eager to make somebody
take a plea deal that they were. They were pushing
really hard for me to take a plea deal. And
I think it's because I was innocent and it hurt
their case because I'm so innocent, like completely transparent, like
(34:59):
this is just not the guy. You look at me,
this is not the guy.
Speaker 7 (35:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (35:02):
So uh and and they went as far as, uh
threatening us with life imprisonment. I am not kidding you.
I'm not kidding. Joshua James pled out because of the threat. Uh,
none of I don't think anybody else pled out because
of that threat. It was just Joshua James. They got
on that threat. But that was the reason why Joshua
James took a plea deal and deal he pled guilty
(35:25):
to seditious conspiracy. How many years did he get nothing?
He because he pled I think he got probation, is
what I hear. He got probation.
Speaker 9 (35:35):
But they but they got to wave but at the time,
they got to wave it in the air and say
look guilty.
Speaker 10 (35:43):
And they made one guy and who took a pleat deal,
They made him sign a paper that said that he
donned a tactical long sleeve shirt.
Speaker 7 (35:53):
This is a fine Shane mail.
Speaker 1 (35:59):
Well, while this is like very funny, they were showing this,
I know it's you know, they were showing this to
a DC jury and they were eating it up, because
a DC jury thinks everybody down here who's a Trump
supporter is a triple day like they they were looking
at you know, we were trying to explain what the
culture is here, and the DC jury was just looking
at us like we had two heads. It is a
(36:19):
different planet up there, and it's very very unfortunate. Now,
what's interesting, and this is the problem that we have now.
So David is obviously very thankful for the commutation, but
a commutation isn't the same thing as a part.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
You didn't get a pardon, No, why not? Well you
didn't do anything.
Speaker 10 (36:38):
Hey, let me tell you. I'm glad to be out
of Oh sure, still you know.
Speaker 3 (36:43):
That you didn't get a pardon seems rather u.
Speaker 9 (36:46):
Well, and so you're one of the fourteen one of fourteen, right,
which was the Proud Boys.
Speaker 7 (36:50):
And the oath keepers.
Speaker 3 (36:51):
Oh that's why, because you're an oathkeeper.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
But the oathkeepers who pled to the exact same conduct
and testified against other oath keepers given pardons.
Speaker 10 (37:01):
And testified against Trump because you had to sign something
that that would implicate Trump as well.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
So they got pardoned.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
Yes, so we you know, of the fourteen in the
whole country.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
It's like, this seems rather suspect. Well, and and again,
what are your thoughts on Jeremy I mean, you know
Jeremy Brown who's still being held. Roger Stone had a piece.
Everybody's calling, you know, there's no reason this guy again
did nothing wrong.
Speaker 10 (37:27):
Well, they're calling it the fruit from the poison tree, right,
so the if the tree is rotten, then the fruit trotten. Yeah,
and so this was obviously a case of the free
the poison tree. The only reason why they went into
his house was because of January sixth, right, So.
Speaker 3 (37:42):
And the crime didn't even take place there, No, in
his home.
Speaker 10 (37:46):
No, no, I didn't. That was clearly backlash because he
outed the FBI for trying to recruit him as well
and made them look bad. And they don't like that.
Speaker 3 (37:58):
Well, now everybody knows how bad they look, so it's
kind of hard for them to deny it. High caller,
you're on the air.
Speaker 8 (38:05):
Hey, I'm calling back because I'm actually a paralegal, a
certified paralegal, and I studied the January sixth very thoroughly,
and one thing I discovered is the fact that General
Miley and Nancy Pelosi were requested on January third of
twenty twenty one to have five thousand troops at the
(38:26):
Capitol and both of them were insubordinate and didn't obey
a direct command by the President, and that's how it
all started. On top of that, the building itself was
legally open from eight thirty to four thirty PM. On
top of that, the Supreme Court said that January sixers
did not interfere with an official proceeding. On top of that,
(38:48):
you had election supervisors and more than five to ten
states even that failed to nullify illegal ballots cast by mules.
Two thousand mules cast more than two hundred thousand illegal,
fraudulent ballots, and none of them were nullified. On top
of that, you have illegal sanctuary state governors who permitted
(39:09):
illegal aliens to cast ballots. Those ballots were not nullified.
So you have Nancy Pelosi contacting Rey Apps more than
ten times on her personal phone, and yet her phone
records are not subpoened. And yet the records of General
Miley are not subpoened. And you have an insurrection based
(39:32):
upon the government failure to obey a direct command by
the president. And then they wanted to stop the electoral
votes to verify them and give it like a ten
day waiting period. And they did not do that.
Speaker 3 (39:47):
No, no they didn't. But you know what, you know
what we did do. We took down every picture of
General Milly.
Speaker 7 (39:55):
So you know, so there, thank.
Speaker 3 (39:59):
You for the call two six fifteen eighty toll free
eight eight eight four four one fifty eight. We won't there,
but hopefully he'll still be around a kick.
Speaker 7 (40:08):
There'll be stronger word and emails.
Speaker 3 (40:09):
Yes, so tell me, you know, he'll maybe he'll get
an ankle bracelet and double secret probation.
Speaker 9 (40:17):
So as far as the experience, then you because you
were sentenced to three years, so how long how much
time did you have to spend?
Speaker 10 (40:24):
Well, so, once we were found guilty, I was put
on house arrest. That means you cannot leave your inside
of your home. You can't leave your house, you can't
can't go outside, can't go outside, right, so I.
Speaker 3 (40:37):
Was on a prisoner even oh, I mean even solitary
gets an hour outside. Don't thank you.
Speaker 10 (40:43):
No, it was I mean it was terrible. I mean
the house was spick and span. Let me tell you
one clean house. But uh so I was like that
for almost seven months. Uh and then you know, sentenced
before they actually you know, called me to go report
to prison. So uh so, then then I went to
the prison. The judge specifically said in his order that
(41:03):
I could go to a camp. A camp is no guard,
you know, very few guards.
Speaker 3 (41:08):
High lodge correctional facility.
Speaker 10 (41:10):
It's uh, it's uh, there's no fences.
Speaker 1 (41:14):
It's what they call club fed. Yeah, it's where all
the you know, stock traders go shuffle board at three late.
And the judge actually ordered that he go there. He
recommended it.
Speaker 10 (41:24):
And the Bureau Prisons would not let me go. Matter
of fact, they wouldn't let any January sixth or go
to a camp. We all had to go to. Yeah,
so we so I was. I was at a satellite
low And I gotta tell you, have you ever heard
of punishment rations? Have you ever heard of that? I
(41:45):
have not bread and water punishment rations. So prison food
is terrible.
Speaker 7 (41:49):
I do that in the Navy if.
Speaker 10 (41:51):
Prison food is terrible to begin with, but at least
they gave you portions where you could kind of be full,
but under punishment rations. That is, if somebody did something
wrong anywhere on the campus, then they would give us punishment.
All of us would have reduced rations. It would just
be this little tiny bit. And and you know, I'm
almost six feet tall, and I got down to under
one hundred and fifty pounds. I was one hundred weighed
(42:14):
down a one hundred and forty nine pounds one for
some time, it was just it was terrible. So, you know,
prison was awful. I'm so glad to get out of there.
I was in for over nine months there, away from
the family. It was miserable, the hopelessness in prison. And
I just say thank you to everybody that wrote to me,
like it really makes a big difference. And I had
(42:34):
people writing to me from all over the country. I
was known for how much mail that I got. You know,
you know, I don't deserve the attention because I'm a nobody,
but but it really helped me out.
Speaker 3 (42:46):
Well, David, how was quickly we got about a minute.
How was the rehab going? Getting your life back together?
Speaker 7 (42:54):
After that?
Speaker 10 (42:54):
We're still not there. You know. I'm so thankful that
President Trump commuted my sentence for me to be able
to return to you know, the medical field, and to
return to be able to provide for my family in
a proper way. I really need to get that pardon,
and I just want to get a message to Trump
and to those that my You know, if you look
at my case, just look at it, it will survive
(43:15):
scrutiny because I didn't do it.
Speaker 3 (43:18):
All right, all right, gang, we have a fake news
radio update to do and then we'll be back after that. David, Thanks,
thank god, thank you. Do you have a website?
Speaker 10 (43:28):
I don't actually right now?
Speaker 3 (43:29):
Yeah, Facebook, Facebook a social media restricts.
Speaker 10 (43:33):
Let me go on social media that stuff.
Speaker 3 (43:37):
Getting Twitter page? Oh, there you go, get on the X. Yes, yes,
thanks Scott. We'll bring you up to date on what's
happening social media after this. W c F Punta Gorda,
(43:57):
Charlotte County's only news talk radio stations.
Speaker 7 (44:00):
You are round the clock.
