Speaker 1 (00:02):

your host Brenda, and it's great to see you all

while recording, so this is like the one hundred and
twentieth episode. We got over one hundred right before Christmas,
and it's exciting to see where we are. I still
have like twelve episodes planned. I still have like eight
(00:22):
episodes unposted, so by the time this is done recorded,
we'll be having one hundred and twenty recorded but not posted,
and I'll have one hundred and thirty already like before
I get the posting. It's great to see you all back. Remember,
I'm now working with storif the amount of Kissing Me Florida.

live in kiss Me Florida or go to the radio
channel's website and you can listen from ten to eleven
am on Saturdays and seven to eight pm on Sundays.

and it's great to see all back. Thanks for your support.
And we're now almost done with February, which is crazy
(01:03):
to believe, but that's how fast February is. Pretty soon,
it's gonna be spring, and I'm excited for spring because
spring is the best time of year. But enough for
me talking. I'm going to introduce our guests today. I
already told her I'm going to just practice pronouncing her
name why for the first time, because I just want
to see how good I do. But we're probably not
going to get this really well. Today. I'm with Sweden
the Anu Labbage.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
That was my best attentph.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Wow, actually pretty impressive.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
That was just a random guest. But I'm going to
want Sweden introduce yourself right now.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Yeah, so hello everyone, I'm Sweden Yanilovic. But h has
pronounced silently, just got to give it that European vibe.
But yes, and I'm an independent artist and I'm super
excited to be here today.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Yeah, like I said, I just wanted to tempt to
pronounce it. I did my best. I always just putting
all the letters together. And I was at work yesterday
I talked to my pharmacist because I working on a pharmacies.
I was like, I have a new artists. I have
no idea how to pronounce her name other than Sweden,
and I'm going to pronounce it. I for the first
time met air. He's like, good luck with that, and
he was trying to help pronounce it too.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
Yeah, it's a challenge. Imagine imagine being an elementary school
and trying to spell it out. I had the hardest time, Like,
I can't spell my last name.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Help me right. But thank you Fred for joining me today.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Absolutely, thank you for having me.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
And you might see Sweet might have a couple of
friends joined in here and there in the podcast. You
might have seen them already. Her dogs are roaming around.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
So yeah, yeah, the dogs that are roaming around. Yeah,
they want to be part of the video. Normally they
like that in every video. They come in and say, hey, exactly.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
But we're going to start listing easy. You are now
new to this music industry exercise. I was gonna say business,
but in straight business, the same word. Can you tell
us a little bit how you got started in music
or a little bit about your background.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Yeah, so it's it's a pretty honestly, I find it
a pretty fascinating story. I didn't rent it. I didn't
think that music was going to be part of my life.
It just hit me, you know, I duo when I
I get serious. And I think it was twenty fifteen sixteen,
I started singing and I was like, wait, I didn't
know I had a voice, And so I started taking
(03:13):
lessons with Linda septein here in Dallas. And then a
few years later, it was like twenty seventeen, I recorded
my first professional song, and this song landed in the
hands of Adam mckinnis, and then we had redone some
stuff on it, and then it landed with Position Music
(03:34):
in La And this is how fast everything happened. And
so Position Music wanted to work with me, so I was,
you know, working with Adam. Then we started doing pitch
songs for Netflix, you know, different TV film commercials. So
it kind of happened pretty fast. Where I'm sitting back
like WHOA. I had no idea this was going to happen. Here.
I'm in a totally different area career, but music's like hello.
(03:59):
So this was in the secular side. And I did
this for about a year and a half. I was
traveling doing different retreats and things like that, and you know,
working for Position Music, which didn't last. It didn't last
very long, and all through that time I felt it
just didn't it didn't resonate well with my soul. And
(04:20):
that time I had my daughter, she was young and
she was traveling with me, so I was like, I
need a break. So I took a break. And then
just as of last year, twenty twenty four, that's when
I went to Nashville and started recording. Actually Never Never
Alone was my first first song in the Christian and
(04:42):
the Christian. But yeah, so this is all pretty much
brand new to me, and I would have never you know,
I would have never known. I mean, I grew up
with my always having microphones, I was always singing, but
it never you know, dawned on me that it would
be this. You know, I've just I looked at it like,
all right, you know, maybe maybe this would just be fun.
(05:05):
This is something that you know, maybe a hobby. But
then I just you know, put out put out Never
Alone last year, and then my Healer and then here
I am today with you know, different executives reaching out.
It's it's it's pretty awesome. So it's like a surprise,
you know. So that's a little bit about the music side.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
And looking at never Loon in my Hall or can
tell do you have any like personal stories based on
any of those songs?
Speaker 2 (05:33):
Oh yeah, so oh yeah, So honestly, he so Never Alone.
I lost my father when I was ten years old,
so I really you know, and he was my favorite.
I was. I was a daddy's girl. And I have
his car. He had a nineteen he was into the
car business and he had a nineteen thirty nine packer
(05:54):
and I had this parcent here to Dallas and I
was out in the back. I was sitting in the
car and I was just like, I felt so alone.
I was missing my dad, you know, just reminiscence, and
it just hit me. I heard the voice of the
Lord saying, Sweden, You're you're never alone? You know, where
are you going through the storm? And then the lyrics
start coming like this is a song. You know. I
(06:16):
just felt I've got to write this, And so that's
where Never Alone came from, just feeling that that moment
of being alone. But then I heard the Lord saying, hey,
you're not alone. So and then healer, my healers, who
you know my Healer. This is this is a pretty
deep story. I you know, recently, I said, I recently
(06:41):
went to Nashville just last year, and it was I
wrote Never Alone, and then a few months later I
was planning on going to write recording My Healer. But
when I was when I went in December, I felt
very ill and I sing this song, I mean, Brendan,
I was so sick that I didn't think i'd see
(07:03):
another day. And so it took me months, probably five
months to go back to Nashville and record that song.
But that song be my Healer was actually my cry,
my cry to the Lord for healing. And I mean
I'm still I'm still in that process of you know,
praying for healing. So yeah, that's that's a that's a
(07:25):
little bit of the long story short. But of the
songs that I put out, and that's it's kind of
how I've been. I had a plan of you know,
doing more music, putting it out, but it really I
just I had that moment where the Lord said, Sweden,
you need to pause, you know, and I believe we
all have those moments, and it's like the moment of waiting,
you know. I've had a bunch of projects you know,
(07:46):
put off because of it, and you know, but we
all have that that time in our life where we
need to you know, learn patience and and humbling. And
I guess that was my time.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
So yeah, and we were talking a little bit beforehand.
Music is not your like nine to five jobs, so
people like do it twenty four to seven, three sixty five?
You said to do a classic car restoration? How is
that doing that?
Speaker 2 (08:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (08:10):
I don't know, like different from music, but like how
is that instead of doing doing music full time?
Speaker 2 (08:14):
Doode? So like you know, playing with cards and all that,
like driving them and like I was saying, doing burnouts
and all that stuff that that's that's awesome. I'll have
to do some of like the cosmetic work, like just
like stripping the pain and picking out pain, you know,
talking with insurance, a gestures and stuff like that. But
(08:36):
and then getting you know, different pros like rested. We
do rest on my projects. So you know, you just
like you want a chevel We've got some like a
sixty seven sixty nine Chevelle's out there. You know. We're
just going on the project. But it's it's pretty joy it.
But it's starting to feel like it's not what the
(08:58):
Lord wants me to do anymore. So I feel like
music is everything is just kind of like positioning itself
right now. I'm like, okay, you know, my Lord, whatever
you want, you know, you're will not mine. But yeah,
that's what I do, is the car stuff on the side.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
Yeah, I just like to hear a different people. I
don't remember who it was, but I had someone back
when I started this. They were male men or male woman.
I don't remember who it was, but they said they
did delivered mail. So it's just really cool and you
need to see different people. Like I said, I work
in a pharmacy, so I just wol to see there's
people that should do other jobs outside of things in
the music industry and everything.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Absolutely, yeah, because I mean I would have never known.
That's why I asked you. I was like, wonder when
what Brandon does? And then you know me, like what's
it's cool?
Speaker 1 (09:49):
And we're now almost two months through twenty twenty five.
I was gonna say twenty twenty four, Wow, I'm off
on my data. Oh well, I'm glad I got to
say twenty real cool? They have any more music playing
for twenty twenty five or anything you're working on, any
tours or shows, even if it's like a small like
coffee shop show.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Yeah, so okay, So just was it September? So yeah,
I was. I don't know if you know Luke mons Is,
but I'm getting on a project with him. I'm just
waiting for set dates. So I'm pretty excited about that.
I've been waiting a little while. But you know, everybody,
you know, everybody's busy, so we're just waiting on those dates.
(10:32):
I'm really looking forward Brendan to getting on something. So
I know a lot of people have been waiting, like
where's the new music. I'm like, it's coming. You know.
It really was a year for me of a setback.
So and that's okay because it really strengthened me and
I've got better visions, you know, vision, My visions are stronger,
my passion and how I want to present you know,
(10:55):
new music. So yeah, that's that's what coming. That's what's
coming new your projects and neever the Lord wants it
to happen, let it happen.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
And for those who are wondering where to I would
recommend checking out Sweden's reels. I came across one of
your reels. That's actually how I found out answry I
believe it or not. So I just is going for
reels and what your reels popped.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Up, Well that's awesome.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
I kind of crazy just to see. But reels are
now taking over the internet, I guess you say, and
you do like a lot of real so it's really
cool how people get connected or if you're looking for
a new music. But you can follow Sweden's journey under
Instagram page. It's the how do you spell her name?
And I'm not going to bother spelling it right now
while we're recording.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
But oh, you did a good job. It's it's it's
not that hard. It's it's yeah, but yeah, I'm not.
I'm not that. I've never used as another thing though
social media. Have never been a big person in social media.
And it's just of last year that's when I've got
on Instagram. So I'm pretty much there. I'm active, there
(12:01):
is I'm trying to get more on active Brandon, but
it's with everything, you know.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
So originally when I went to school, I wanted to
be a social media coordinator. Slash social media was my goal.
So that's what I wanted it to school for Wow,
how cool is that? So, like I'm pretty active. I'm
still learning everything about it. Like I feel like in
the last five years social media has changed since I
went to like school and everything. So it's just interesting.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Yeah, it is interesting.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
Yeah, and it changes ever so often, just like everyone
on his path. So like, oh, I want to do this,
but God has what our plans and that's just how
WAFE works. I guess.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Absolutely can say that again because I mean I was like,
I'm going to do this. I'm going to do that.
He's like, no, you're not. So I'm just trusting in
him through it all.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
Yeah, And we just have a few extra minutes with
you today. I like to give our guests the floor
to care something or say something. It could be anything
on your he it could be anything on your heart.
It could be a fun story. It can be a
random fun fact. So I like to give you the
four speak about whatever you want to talk about.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
Awesome. Well yeah, it's pretty free. Let's see what could
we talk about?
Speaker 1 (13:16):
Just I just I like giving the floor, just Steff, Like,
I like the haveversations that I like, I like you
have the guests having to say to say what they
want to say. I don't know, it's a weird way
to put it. I said say way too many times.
I was a tongue twister.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
But yeah, I know. Usually on an interview they're just
question I'm getting questioning. I always always questions, questions. So
now it's that moment.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
If you don't have anything too, that's school. I just
like giving up everyone a chance to share about because
there's so many things people could talk about, and sometimes
I just forget things on the top of my end,
or there's something they haven't announced yet or whatever. That's
why I like giving the floor.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Yeah, I love that. I love that.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
So people don't mind me.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
I'm over here with my coffee. I'm like, oh, that's
that's here's a good topic. Do you like to drink
coffee or tea? Brandon?
Speaker 1 (14:09):
No, I've only drinking coffee. I see here, I'm throwing
coffee like three times. And I think all three times
is when I went to Nashville, just because we were
meeting people in coffee shops.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Really ooh, coffee shops. I like the Harpath Have you
been to the Harpa over there? What is it called
the harp Hotel? In Franklin. But what is the coffee?
Speaker 1 (14:29):
The ones I've been to are just Love Coffee and
then Frosty Monkey or something like that and a while
those are the main three I've been too.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
I haven't been. No, there's there's one in the Harpit Hotel.
I always forget the name. I can't. Yeah, that's one
thing with me and names. I always forget. But yeah,
coffee is coffee is good. I didn't. I didn't, I
just started. So that's why I'm over here, like but yeah, no,
if I mean, I would love to just you know,
share a message, just if you know, basically like alongside
(14:59):
with me and the song. I feel like this is
all my heart. But you know, for anyone that's listening
and not knowing where they're going in life, feeling lost,
I really feel, you know, just just ask the Lord,
ask him say, I need your I need your guidance.
(15:19):
I need direction in my life because I felt, you know,
I was there Brandon in my life. I was like wait, wait,
wait a second, you know, And so that's why this
sturricane with music and my whole my whole life is
just changing and shifting for the better. But I would
just just give a word, you know, to to ask
the Lord, you know, let your will be done and
(15:42):
not mine will be done, and just see how your
life just wow, flourishes. So yeah, I think that's it's awesome.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
Like we said, like I said a few minutes ago,
that life change is so fast. You might have a
plan to do something, but godlike change your plan like that.
That's how life works too. I think God's going work.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
Yeah, absolutely, because wow. I mean I see it and
I keep going through different situations. I'm like, Okay, what
are you showing me? Lord? But yeah, it changesn't it?
It can change so fast, it's like woo. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
And again, Sweden, thank you for joining me today and
for those who are watching listening for me working out
while listening to it or letting me talk to your sleep.
I always say, like Bob Ross or something I enjoyed
with sitting in having you guys listen in Sweden, thank
you for joining me today.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
Thank you, thank you for having me. It's been awesome.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
And everyone who's and everyone who's been here, I want
to thank you for listening. Uh see that. On the
next side of the episode of Christian Music Podcast, I
have a couple of full cool people coming up. I'm
not out of announce yet, but stay tuned, take care
of everyone, and we'll see you next time.
