It’s the 30th anniversary of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. With several adaptations in the works, it’s a great time to talk about the history of The Little Mermaid. Sacha Coward is mermaid folklorist and freelance museum professional who has worked at local, national, and international museums and galleries..and also designs escape  rooms! Host Laura von Holt asked Sacha to tell her everything he knows about The Little Mermaid, Hans Christian Andersen, queer history, mermaids around the world and what mermaids mean today. They also managed to touch on RuPaul’s Drag Race and the Twilight movies. Warning: There’s a teensy bit of strong language.
