the road for a while. We like being amongst the people.
I'm just saying, I gotta say this, thanks for everybody
for showing out for us for their live show last week.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
It was great, man, it was great. I really enjoyed it.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
I mean, from Mark Cloud showing up.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
Mark cost was great, but the interview with him was
one of the best interviews I think we've had this year.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
I'll be honest.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
You never know what you're gonna get when you talk
to a team president and he comes in, He's like
shaking our hands.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
He's answered all the questions he can.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
He really conveyed, you know, some of the concerns that
fans had, and completely explain him as well.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
It was great. Of course Doug was there.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Listen, going back to Mark, I didn't know he.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
Had worked at that many places like for that Man
and Fortune five hundred companies. Means he understands how to
connect with people, and this is very important when you're
a team president.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
And I found that very refreshing.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Went to West Point, played basketball there for a while.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Yeah, it was a helicopter pilot, worked overseas, like he's
done a lot.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
You know, most men think that if the plane is
going down that they can go pilot.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
He can actually go do it. He can actually go
do it.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
But most men, they say fifty percent of men think
they can go into the pilot room.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Could you do it?

Speaker 1 (01:46):
No way, I'd be like, what are all these controls?
I'm going right, It's quick, That's what I say.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
I'm going right in there, and I'm going to do it.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Because you think you're the other half. You think you
could do it.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
I think I can do it. I think I can
figure it out.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
It's either push you forward to go down, okay, and
put it back to go up. I'm going to live
this thing out all right, cannot land it.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Whole different story, so just take our time before the crash.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
All I'm saying is people, this is your captain speaking,
all right.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
I got control of this thing.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Is that Freendsmoon?

Speaker 2 (02:21):
No?

Speaker 3 (02:21):
You? It was awesome because we had a great we
had a great few guests and also being able to
be out there with the people taking a lot of pictures,
just having drinks, talking people about your team and the
upcoming season.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
It was It was a really special night.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
No a lot of energy. Like you said, a lot
of people there. Thank you for showing up. It's what
we wanted. I think we conveyed what we want to
do that night.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
And also I know there were a couple of fans
to get this and is here. Yes, so a couple
of fans that showed up, but because this was a bar,
I think they were underage and they couldn't get in.
So we're sorry about that. But reach out to us, Yeah,
because we want to hook you up with some.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Swag and we got because you didn't get in, we
got you some sweat. We're gonna send you some underage sweat.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
Now, what we did is that we carried over the
theme from the bar here to the show. Yeah, thanks
to our friends of Cutwater. Because we're drinking long islandized
teas right now. Yeah, we taped this in the morning. Yes,
I haven't had anything to eat. This is thirteen percent alcohol.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
I haven't ate in seventy two hours. Like you gotta
realize this has been the fourth of July weekend. All right,
liquid dye, That's what I'm telling you. So you know what,
I'm just literally picking off where we left outfit from
the bar, so everything find.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
That was a good night thanks to cut Water. I'll
tell you what's sweet. Yeah, the new Super Bowl era jerseys,
and people have been weighed on they've been waiting.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
These jerseys to me. I tasteful. They are a classic, right,
just what the doctor ordered, all right.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
The fans wanted to live nostalgia. The fans wanted to
live glass from the past. These jersey in Hell Becoming
Nations give you both. It does give you both, and
I think the fans are really going to enjoy that.
And when these kids run out there for the first
time in these jerseys, I think the fans are gonna

(04:08):
lose it.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
It's the best of both worlds because I know what
we can do, though, is honor the Super Bowl era
and say this is what everyone loves. This brings back
a lot of great memories. We're blending the old and
the new. And I didn't know what to expect.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
And I was like, nel, listen, I think they did,
Neil because they didn't try too hard, right, Like, that's
the one thing that I think would have really lost
the fans if you tried too hard. I think they
did everything tasteful and natural. Are you ready to show
everybody these things?

Speaker 2 (04:39):
That what I mean?

Speaker 1 (04:41):
I just think people will have seen them, they know them.
Now you've got a sneak peek.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
And I didn't know what to expect, you know, I
wanted to like them.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
And I was like, man, clean.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Should I pull his head on that? You can pull
it out now? Yeah, yeah, you pull it out now?
Look at Oh come on here, where we go? Now?

Speaker 4 (05:05):
This is so close to what I played in all right,
this is so close to what I played in right here.
And I can't say I played in the Golden Years,
but boy, this is closest you're gonna get to the original.
Now put that by the jersey.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Look at this, put that by the jersey.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Right This sucks, man, This is you don't get look
to the original.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
This is close as you're gonna get to the original.
Right here. You got the.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
Love Thish right here. Come on, baby, you got to
love this nostalgia.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
I'm taking this, stealing. This is that George's mine.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
You know it's Beautiful'm gonna put this helmet right here.
It's gonna be right here.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
It's just something about that just brings that all the
good vibes.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Mistalis.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Man.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
Listen, man, you know who wore that five when I
was here?

Speaker 1 (05:52):
He's sureer No.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
Coke Brennan, Colt Brennan, rest in peace, my guy, Coke Brennan.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
I love me some Coke Brennan. This is my guy right.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Well, he could sling it.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Listen. Come on, you know not how many Yawsey threw
for in Hawaii.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Oh he was the record center out there.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
And listen, if you ever would have went to why
you with Coke Brennan, he was they he's start. He
is an absolute god out there. Yes they worshiped him
over there, yes they did. Oh man, ridiculous. Well you're right, man.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
I like that you brought him up because when you
know people who know football, they definitely know Cole Brennan.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
You know Coke.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
But these these jerseys, man, these helmets, they just did
such a such a bang up job.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
And I'll tell you what, people are going to be rushing.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
To bidom and I would too. Why not. We're hot,
We're the it thing right now. Like we're the hot
thing right now.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
I think we're gonna go through some rankings they Ryan
Clark and me and the Kayes did Downland about.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Where we at right now. Some things I disagree in
there jinks. Really, you know, I don't see where they're
coming from.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
And also, I mean that's part of the interesting nature
of the NFL in the offseason, which is teams are
similar but also different. And the idea that remember the
one year when Tampa Bay won the Super Bowl, Yeah,
and they had all twenty two starters back air, and
guess what, it didn't matter because there's so many changes

(07:16):
and the guys have different motivations. It's just coming to
play to the idea that just because you have everyone back,
everything's gonna be the same.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
It's not that simple in.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
It and then why people want to talk about it
last year like, oh, y'all, y'all caught fire, y'all had
a little look. You need a little up, Like it's
not about like just lining up and being better than somebody.
Like the ball has to bounce your way. And for
a long time, especially when I played the bow, never
bounced our way. It just never did.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Like we would find ways to lose games that we had.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
Firm control over. So it's not as simple as we're
just better than you. Just be listen to me. I
had a team that I played on I think I
was my rookie year. We had five number one picks
on that team. Wilson, Bruce Smith, Jeff George Kajuna Card
all number one picks. We had number two pick and

(08:07):
Chris Samuels. We had LeVar Arrington, I had Hall of
Famer Champ Baby, Hall of Famer Dale Green.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Like, if I go through.

Speaker 4 (08:14):
This roster, you'll be like, hey, all right, y'all should
have won, right, we're happened.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
No, it doesn't work like that.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
That ain't how sports goes like it has to be
the ball had to bounce you away mixed with a
lot of luck.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Now, that's like in hockey, there's a thing called puck luck, right, Yeah,
And I remember the year when when the Caps won
the Stanley Cup, and for years they would either underachieve
or the punk just wouldn't bounce. And I remember the
year they won the Cup. Early on, the puck was
just finally going our way. I was like, this is it.
It's finally happening. We needed a couple good breaks. We
finally got them.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
You know when I did, I did learn how to
play hockey when I lived in Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
You did, no, I did? I did.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
I used to go by smoothly connects South. That was
my name most definitely, Like we.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Got training camp coming up. Yeah, I mean it's it's
it's not here, but it's among.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
It's here, like as a football player, once we hit
this spot right here, vacation, right, vacation.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
Wrap it up, let's get ready, let's go, and we
will focus on the rookie class. We'll talk about that,
but let's talk about sophomore players. Because I think it
was you that said this, and I thought it was
a really good point. Is how quickly we forget about
a rookie class because we get so excited about the
new class.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
Yes, yes, and now we have all.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
These second year players. Yeah, who can take a leap?
Who are you most excited about?

Speaker 4 (09:29):
You know what, it's easy to say. I want JD
five to take a monk all right. I want to
see him go over four thousand yard it's passing. I
want to see him really really, I want to see
the game like I feel like as the year went
on it slowed down for him.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
But I want to see being sented. Okay, I like that,
take a step.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Joshn Newton, who actually gonna be back to my god,
I'm going with Johnny Newton.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Yeah, for him to be healthy, it's everything coming into
the season. He limped into his rook year, so he
playing ketchup the whole time. He playing ketchup.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
So I really want to see him take another step
and him say, you know, I want to solidify myself
as one of the best pass rushers on this team.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
So between him and McCaffrey, Loop looks good, right, it does.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
I think we've all seen that picture of him working
out with his brother and who else was working out
with was it? I forget who else was in that picture,
but he looks like he's been putting on the work.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
So it's so many guys from the class that I
think could take that next step. And it's scary to
think about them taking that next step because if they do,
how good is his team?

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Yeah? Yeah, anybody you?

Speaker 3 (10:41):
I mean, I think Johnny Newton is going to be huge,
and I think because a couple of things. Number one
is the fact that he even played last year at all. Yeah,
he recovered so quickly, but even though it was only sporadic,
he made a big impact in spots and when we
talked to him. Yeah, maybe I'm being a little biased here.
We talked to him in the bubble about a month ago. Yeah,
and you his energy, his energy, like he knows. You

(11:03):
can tell that he feels great and he's ready to
do something about it.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
I think Tyler.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Owens, all right this, you're big on him.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
Listen, it's something about this kid. I've seen this before.
People don't remember this rookie that was with me E
fae O l A t right from USC right we
came in.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
I think he went none drafted.

Speaker 4 (11:25):
Really by the mid season he was out starting safety.
I've seen the story before. Tyler Owens has an it
to him, but it factor, and I got a feeling
he one of those dudes what we call mister Steele
your girl me and meaning, if I let this dude
in the game, he ain't leaving.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
Right, So don't let him in.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Don't let him in like I want him. I'm a
farm believer.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
If Tyler Owens ever gets on the field a safety,
he will never relate, He won't relent that position.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
He's going to keep that position. I feel like that
by him.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Is that a song from Usher when he says that
in the song mister Steel Girl?

Speaker 3 (12:00):
I think that was was that songs Trey Songs?

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Too Short to Steal My girl?

Speaker 3 (12:12):
Okay, what about this year's class, the draft pick you're
most excited to see.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
We're gonna back to trade again.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
You know I love me some track, So I'm gonna
have to go Conley. Okay, I'm gonna have to go
Conley because if you got them two book ends with
him and Larry and Thompson and how athletic this kid is,
and he's reinforcement to protect your main asset, which is
JD five, I mean Jedi five.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
Uh, It's gotta be Conley.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
It has to be Conley because he get this marriage
between him and jd if five could be a twelve
year marriage.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Yeah, like they could be with each other so long.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
So I gotta say I'm more excited about him than
Trey Amos. But you know how I feel about tree
At Yeah, so it's hard for me to say that.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
But Madrono too. Hey listen, it's something about Madrno. Used
to be a wide receiver.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
Now he plays linebacker four four point forty, can run
all over the place. Like sometimes you just got to
find a job for a dude.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
You know what I mean. You're so right.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
I was gonna say, he's just an athlete, Like where
do you need him.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
On that defense?

Speaker 2 (13:23):
Yes? Do you need him at big milk? Do you
need it? Do you need him at linebacker? Do you
need him rushing to edge? Like?

Speaker 4 (13:29):
Where do you need this guy at? And they go
the big thing about it. So it's a lot of
guys that I'm very excited about it when it comes
to this draft class and last year's draft class, and
I don't like to forget about last year's It's.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
Like when you follow high school recruiting and someone's recruited
as an athlete, it's like where they gonna play like
we don't know yet, Yeah, we just know we gotta
get him on it.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
It mind me of Jarell Peppers. Right when Pep came out.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
They were like, where are we gonna just get him
on the field, Like, don't worry about where he's gonna
find a way.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Just find a way to get him on the field.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
Just like j Lane, I was gonna say on special teams,
I think he could be a real difference maker, and
that's how he's probably gonna start too.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Know he's gonna start there. But this dude stick to
be a wide receiver.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
I would not be shocked as everything that we see
Deebo Samuel's doing, they prepping him to do the same.

Speaker 3 (14:17):
Okay, and also his journey if you look at how
he's grinded, found a way, bounced around and got to
where he is. I mean, that's the kind of person
you want. That's kind of a grinder, you all.

Speaker 4 (14:27):
I love receivers that played with sninking quarterbacks, right because
you don't know the apex, you don't know how good
they can actually be. Yeah, Like Jayleen Lane, I watched
his film and I was like, ugh, that's terrible throw.
Terrible throw. Like everythrow I watched was like it's terrible,
and he's reaching back, he's getting them like he's not

(14:47):
making excuses. And I like receivers like that because you
don't know what they ceiling is right now, we don't
know what Jayden lane ceiling is. He could literally hit
this thing as fast as he is and like really
turn into something, like really turning to something.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
What position group that's offensive?

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Defense?

Speaker 3 (15:02):
What position group are you most excited about watching?

Speaker 1 (15:06):
Let start with the offense.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
I have to go with the offensive line.

Speaker 4 (15:13):
Yeah, I gotta go with the office life because the
officer of line is like.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
A boy group, Like I told you, boy band. Yeah,
they have to be in sync.

Speaker 4 (15:25):
They have to be they have to be in sync
and if they're not, they become Backstreet Boys. But now
that we got Condy and Coleman goes to guard, we
got a new addition. Oh so what I'm saying is

(15:47):
they have to be truly in step with each other. Yeah,
and I want to see how fast connect group mold
because I watched I watched them do what they did
last year with their group they had this year and
I think it's a better this year.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
And everyone has to know the road just like a
boy man, right, Like everyone has to serve everybody can't.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
Be timberly right everybody, And you can't have five leads.
You can'tnot do it.

Speaker 4 (16:10):
I totally understand. We know who the leader is and
that's gonna be beagh to me. Like as good as
Lamb and Tompson, Eills beyond.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Is the lead.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
He's like the centerpiece. He let that.

Speaker 4 (16:20):
Dog and the way I watched him just chest tie
sixy Dixie lawns and the things I watched him do
the guys last year.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
No, this is the lead dog right there.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
That's just I'm excited about. I'm the receivers.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
I think what I think more than anything, not necessarily
a position group, but I cannot wait to see what
Cliff does with all these different tools that he has.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Now.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
Yeah, like they.

Speaker 3 (16:43):
Keep adding tools to his toolbox. And now you've got
an old line that is going to help with that
and maybe give you a little bit more freedom to
do some of the things you want to do.

Speaker 4 (16:51):
You don't have to keep the tight end in, you
don't have to chip block, you don't have to like
we watched him.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
I give Cliff this.

Speaker 4 (16:59):
I watched him all plays last year, and it sometimes
I felt like he was caught in plays with his
hand tied behind his back. Right now, he's gonna just
let it loose. My quarterback ain't no rookie no more.
My offensive line is forty five a right. That helps
the run game because of the offensive line, so we
can stay ahead of the chains.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
And I got better receivers.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
Like like early on, people are like, why are you
calling these plays? It's week two? I mean, what's going on?
It's like Terry.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
Rookie some time the quarterback is literally three days off,
three days off. Give him chance to get out here
and spread his wings a little bit. Yes, and guess what,
we're here now. We're here now with you.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
And this is what I do love watching Jamie this
off season.

Speaker 4 (17:47):
He did not pull the Baker Mayfield, which is what
have the big out. I mean, Rick had a big
freaky season. Do all the commercial, do all the.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
Black blah blah. He did none of that. He turned
down ample opportunities. I'm just trying to work. Man. You
got to love your quarterback. It's like that. I'm sorry.
You gotta love your quarterback when you're doing that.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Oh man, Well, I love this cutwater. I'm already feeling this.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
The cutwater is cutting through me. It's a long island.
You know what along alley, how did you get iced?

Speaker 1 (18:22):
He in Mississippi did defensively position group.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
It's too cliche for me to say defensive bags.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
I know hair is tre second year from Mikey Marsha.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
Title ones. I'm gonna go with the defensive back for you.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
I mean, I feel like it's the most interesting part
of the defense.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
I feel like they are better.

Speaker 4 (18:50):
I feel like under the second year of coach with
they know what he wants.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (18:55):
The question gonna be with us is and this with
all the groups we looked up last and I told
you to take a look to win.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
We were healthy.

Speaker 4 (19:04):
We was a very healthy team, all right, and can
we stay healthy? But what I do like is in
the defensive back room, you still got ig monogamy. But
guess what, he's pigged down a rod, all right. So
now everybody is in that role that they should be in.
You know, if I need monogamy for a three game stretch,
he can do it.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
He's already done it.

Speaker 4 (19:25):
He's already So all I'm saying is this that defensive
back room Marshall allowed him on.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
I want to tell people this. I don't know why
people so down on him.

Speaker 4 (19:35):
He came middle of the year, he came injured, he
went out there and played. Do y'all remember he had
a game where he gave up zero yards. Then he
had a game against A. J. Brown and everybody want
to talk about that. Marshall allowed him more healthy. One
of the best cornerbacks in the league.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
He's a dog man.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
He's a dog.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
And guess what you when it's a cornerback. When you
feel like you didn't have your best year last year,
you're gonna come back this year.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
You're gonna make it happy. He gonna be a lead
dog this year.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
I agree, totally agree. Pay some mills.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
Why not pay some bills to get loud podcasts brought
to you by m W A A. We don't travel
to escape life. We travel so life doesn't escape us.
We dream of a place anywhere in the world, and
in the blink of eye, we're there. That's the wonder
of flight. All you have to do is decide where
to dulles in the National airport because we go into Spain.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
Baby, let your imagination sore.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
Book your adventure today at flight Doulls dot com slash Dunstane.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
Now it's start to bring it at U.

Speaker 5 (20:38):
We have some voicemails we do, we do all right,
hold on, let me also give us a call seven
O three seven six, seven four or nine.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
You can email us as well, Washington get loud at gmail.

Speaker 6 (20:57):
Richmond. Hey, so listen, I was watching you guys throw
that baseball one time into a net off a flat ground.

Speaker 7 (21:10):
And I just got to tell you that you did
it all wrong.

Speaker 6 (21:14):
For one, you gotta be throwing off of a nouns
or at least down at hill, preferably to a live catcher.
But listen, you gotta be wearing a mit that way
you can launch your body when you bring your body,
when you bring your arm over, man, it just steals
right when you're throwing a baseball. And also you need
to throw like about ten warm up pitches of dollar

(21:36):
in dude, what.

Speaker 7 (21:37):
Do you guys do when you're just throwing the ball?

Speaker 2 (21:39):
Wants to do a net.

Speaker 7 (21:40):
Off of some flat ground Like, oh, okay, I'm the best. No,
I am not accepting that. You guys need to redro
that whole challenge and you need to.

Speaker 8 (21:48):
Do it right.

Speaker 6 (21:49):
I want to see baseball mins.

Speaker 7 (21:51):
I want to see a catcher.

Speaker 8 (21:52):
I want to see some warm up pros.

Speaker 7 (21:54):
Dial in, and then I want to see some pitching.
Then we'll see who has it.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Just walk up there and do it.

Speaker 7 (22:01):
It don't work like that, Thank you for.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
That's from command center.

Speaker 4 (22:09):
He's correct, he is because we did not warm up.
We did not get any priv throws. We just went
up there, we threw the.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
Ball, got to warm up a little bit a baseball.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
We didn't. We did not warm up at all. That's
why I look so bad.

Speaker 9 (22:23):
It was it was a little sad.

Speaker 10 (22:26):
It was sad to watch everyone, although I was Logan
is always like good at the challenges, like he doesn't need.

Speaker 9 (22:33):
To warm up, but he did.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
He he didn't do good.

Speaker 9 (22:38):
I don't think anybody doesn't like listen.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Listen, I call it was right. We should have wound up.

Speaker 4 (22:47):
We should have been throwing down him uh, and we
were throwing flat footed. It wasn't right, Like the challenge
was not done right. And he is totally correct. That's
why I look so fiut. That is why it looks so.

Speaker 9 (23:01):
I thought you said you you intentionally did it badly.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
Indeed, I think it's more entertainer value in it.

Speaker 10 (23:09):
Okay, okay, we got another call kind of about the
edge rusher discussion, but just to kind of a yeah,
it always does.

Speaker 8 (23:18):
I know, Hey, Frank Jackson and and how y'all doing
his friend from Florida. Man, Hey, I was listening to
that last show. Y'all were in the DMV there. But Fred,
you made a comment on the show before about those
inside guys pain and uh Johnny Newton, uh making them

(23:40):
outside guys look like that, you know, bringing that pressure
from that style. I was just wondering, if you think
Ken Law Armstrong, with some of these other guys we've gotten,
I'll be able to bring that happening.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
Keep up your great work.

Speaker 8 (23:51):
With your great work, he helps the.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
Commander, all right. Sorry, no, I understand what he's saying.

Speaker 4 (23:58):
And you know, when I hear these discussions on the
radio sports talk radio, I hear people constantly.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
Called and we need an edge, we need an edge.

Speaker 4 (24:10):
The interior guys affect the game differently than outside guy.
The shortest rope to a quarterback is through the A gap,
not the D, not the E. It's through the A gap,
all right. And if you get somebody that affects the
game through the a gap. That means, now only do

(24:30):
they affect the pass, they affect the rush like the
edge rushing affects the past game. He doesn't affect the rush.
If I beat you on first down, that means it's
secondly long. I'm not forced you to pass the ball.
I dictate turns. Edge rushers don't dictate urns. I'm a cornerback.
Who you think I would rather have Bruce.

Speaker 2 (24:50):
Smith, Aaron Dunk? Give me Aaron Dunk?

Speaker 4 (24:53):
Right, interior guy destroys your center, your quarterback, and your
running back.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
Your edge rushing destroys attack.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Yeah, so that's a really good point.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
That's that's what I'm saying. So maybe people come around
to the French smooth theory of relativity.

Speaker 4 (25:09):
Maybe they come around to the theory everything revolves around
the detail.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
Yeah, everything starts there on the defense.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
About to come around another drink?

Speaker 4 (25:17):
Listen, they are killing me. I don't know if it
was the long weekend we have? How perfect was the
fourth being on a Friday?

Speaker 1 (25:25):
Oh gorgeous? I had four days off, man, listen, so great?

Speaker 2 (25:28):
When when when the fourth happened? It's all a blurring
me I wake up on Saturday, like I gotta do
it again. Like this Sunday rolls around, I'm like, am
I really gonna attempt this and do it again? And
you did it?

Speaker 7 (25:44):
I did.

Speaker 4 (25:45):
So what I'm saying, Lord, don't let don't let the
fourth fall on Friday. All I'm saying it was just
too perfect and the weather was good.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
The weather was very good.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
Like it was just it was perfect, man, it was
it was there.

Speaker 10 (25:58):
Okay, I just want to end the voicemails on this
one thing. If you guys could try to keep your
voicemails under thirty seconds, I will be able to play more.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
So, Joe, we got a couple of five minutes a.

Speaker 10 (26:13):
Couple and love hearing your opinions, but when you guys
condense it, keep it short. That way, I don't have
to edit out your points that are really important. And
then yeah, so just be sure keep them. Try to
keep them around thirty seconds or under a minute.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
If you hear yourself saying on the voicemail and I'll
tell you something else, then.

Speaker 4 (26:33):
That's when you got to like read chapter then yeah,
you gotta you gotta make it clean cut and let's
see how professional.

Speaker 9 (26:41):
You can mean professional. No, I think keep it, keep
it fun, keep it light. That's what gets out.

Speaker 4 (26:48):
No professional, like, make sure you use your word play
good because we're going to play it on air. Oh yeah,
So if you want to hear yourself on air, you
probably want to hear yourself on air saying it like
Michael Jenkins.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
I don't want to hear Jenkins. I want to hear Jenkins,
That's all I'm saying. So I know you have some
beef with this list. So many times, Ryan Clark, I
love me.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
She's so good. She's real, she's so good. She and
Ryan Clark ranked.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
All thirty two teams on the Medikimes show Eagles one, Ravens, Chiefs, Bills, Lions.
They run out the top five to hackers, Commanders at seven, Bengals, Chargers, Texans.

Speaker 4 (27:35):
Now it's Bengals Ramsaxons.

Speaker 9 (27:39):
That's my bad, that's my that's.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
Me okay, Bengals Rams Texans.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
Right, all right, So you have a beef with this list.
I got beef. I got beef, and I'm talking about
a T bone steak. Okay.

Speaker 4 (27:52):
First of all, I believe in if a boxer beat
another boxer the boxes is better than him. Okay, as
much as I love Mike Tyson, when Evander beat him,
Evander was better.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
He was, even though he got his here a bit
off the box that day.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
Yeah, all right, Uh, Lions at five is where I
think we should be. I think we should be right
behind the Bills, because we we went the motown and
we told Rikers off the wall, and we we literally
wrecked every Ford Chevy lad whenever they was billing, we
wrecked it, all right, We beat them.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
We beat the soul out of them, all right, that
was not just we got out of here by a
field goal.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
We wrecked your ship. We sunk your battleship, all right,
we beat you to death. We're five Green Bay Packers.
My quarterback is better.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
Than yours, all right, yes, sir, I'm sorry. We're a
better team than you. You don't.

Speaker 4 (28:53):
You lose a j Alexander and we get the guys
we got, and you're better than us. You're not better
than that. So I say we'd at five. Lions at six.
I don't even know if I'm putting the package before
the Bengals. I think the Bengals are better. I ain't
putting the package before the Rams.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
I think the Rams are gonna be.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
A damn good team. Yes, a team that nobody wants
to play.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
Because A the expectations are lower. B. Matthew Stafford can
still slinging, and they have one of the best head
coach in the game. And listen, they gave Philly all
they wanted last year.

Speaker 4 (29:30):
Philly snuck out of there. Philly snuck out of there.
And you gotta realize they just get better. Ye're young,
their defense is young Texans at ten.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
Let me ask let me say this about Lions commanders.
Let me play Devil's advocate here. Yeah, so head to
head I get that. Yeah, but what about the idea,
especially when you're talking about teams that play twice during
the year in the division, right, A lot of times
it's not you know, you might beat a team one
week and then two weeks later things fall different way
beat you.

Speaker 4 (30:01):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, well here go think about it. I
want to say we beat them up while they were
missing half their team. We ain't got nothing to do
with that, all right. We had hurt people, y'all had
hurt people. We showed up and we hurt some more
of your people. We don't get We don't care about that.
A coach's job is to coach the players that's available.
They coached the players that was available, and not only

(30:23):
did we beat them, they lost the coaches that coached.

Speaker 2 (30:25):
Though.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
I will say one thing we saw.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
This happened to the Eagles, right yeah, after they made
the Super Bowl three and it took them a year
to like recalibrate.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Thank you. Ain't Hutchinson coming back from an injury. Do
you think he gonna be one undred percent? No, not
after what he.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
Did if he were older. But he's young enough.

Speaker 4 (30:43):
He's young, and I know this about players. Is he
gonna be back and he gonna be healthy. Yes, he's
gonna be healthy.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
Yeah, but he ain't gonna really feel like himself.

Speaker 4 (30:51):
To Nick to the year after, it's like Achilles, Achilles,
you come back the year but you still ain't yourself yet?

Speaker 2 (30:58):
All right, you don't.

Speaker 4 (31:01):
You lose your coordinators, your best defensive player coming off
of an injury, and you think you're gonna be a
better team.

Speaker 2 (31:09):
You're not going to be a better team.

Speaker 4 (31:12):
We know where your quarterback is going to be, and
we're gonna hunt him like a dog. We're gonna force
your quarterback to beat us. We're not gonna let your
running game. I think we gave team the answer on
how to beat the Lions.

Speaker 3 (31:23):
I mean, I will say this when it comes to
Jared Goff, and I forget where I saw the video,
which was when you're scouting him. Look, he's he's had
a very good career. He was kind of left for
dead outfield. He is a very good quarterback. But I
think one thing I saw was he has a propensity
to carry the ball low in the pocket, and so
if you can get to him, you could grab that
football because he's not carrying it high enough.

Speaker 4 (31:44):
It's not just where he's holding the ball. Is that
As a defensive lineman, I know where he's going to
be in the park.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
You're not going anywhere.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
He ain't going anywhere.

Speaker 4 (31:53):
So therefore I can hunt that dog different. I can
get after him like the key to being stop the run.
Make sure Gibbs and Games, Gibbs and Thecomberies too. I
mean forgets they lost their center, that's true. They lost
their center with a numb mobile quarterback, and he lost

(32:13):
your old C and he lost your DC and then
coming off of for injury.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
No, you're not the same team, also losing guy like
Ben Johnson. Like, that's not just losing your offensive quarter.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
That's losing an.

Speaker 4 (32:25):
Exceptional They're losing a brain trust, right, Like, we don't
even know how the offense gonna look. The point of course,
they're gonna try to keep some stuff, but the caller
and the rhythm of the calling won't be there anymore.
All those trick players didn't every officer line for them
scoring touchdown last year?

Speaker 2 (32:41):
Oh? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (32:43):
Which I mean is that's not easy to pull off?

Speaker 4 (32:46):
First of all, one office line scoring test right and multiple?
By the way, who scored?

Speaker 1 (32:56):
I forget it was an old lineman who wasn't I don't.

Speaker 9 (32:59):
I don't think Scott.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
That's gonna terrible. By the way, well you have a
very good memory.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
I'd like to thank the good, good.

Speaker 3 (33:08):
Friends and cut Water. I mean, that's fair, that's a
good point. All right, let's face some bills here. But
I don't I don't disagree with you. But I also
Texans at ten? Is that too hard for the Texans?

Speaker 4 (33:26):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (33:27):
Why do I feel like the charges are better than
it takes?

Speaker 1 (33:30):
I we're gonna talk about the second charge are good?
I think the Broncos are going to be so good
this year.

Speaker 3 (33:36):
Guys, this summer Seek has you're taking to the best

Speaker 1 (34:07):
She's going two nights. I didn't know it was two nights.

Speaker 4 (34:09):
I can say I think she got another night, right,
She's got one more year?

Speaker 1 (34:13):
Did you say when she was in Houston and the
car she was in she was coming from this, I
saw that.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
That was terrifying.

Speaker 3 (34:19):
Now.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
I was like, she was like stop and I was like,
I don't blame you. I'd stop it too. Queen Bee, like,
come on, what are doing?

Speaker 2 (34:25):
Listen?

Speaker 4 (34:25):
I I'm not gonna ever go against the be high
all right? Like it's a couple of varying basis.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
You just you just can't.

Speaker 4 (34:32):
You just don't go against you. You don't go against
the Swifties. Now, do not go against the Swifties. Do
not go against the Bee High. I've personally never been
to a Beyonce concert?

Speaker 2 (34:45):
Would you go, Jinx?

Speaker 3 (34:46):
I go.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
I'm not like a massive but listen, she's one of
the greats. All right, So let me put it to
you this way. Would I be like, I gotta see her.
I'm gonna spend a ton of money.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (34:56):
Probably not. If people said, hey, you want to go
to Beyonce, I got some they could takets, I'll be like,
hell yeah, I'll go see Beyonce. Okay, So we have
to build. According to Anna, we have to build a
list before we wrap things up.

Speaker 3 (35:06):
Top three teams to watch not necessarily the best teams,
but teams to watch this season. A storyline you're interested
in or a team you think is interesting.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
Would that be Jacksonville jag Wat Okay?

Speaker 4 (35:20):
I think Travis Hunter is going to be the first
guy the Champ played a wide receiver. Champ actually play
running back too, now I think about it, but this
is gonna be the first guy to kind of take
these jobs and do them both simultaneously. Uh So I
would He's gonna be special, So I would say storylize Jacksonville. Okay,

(35:44):
another storyline. I really want to see what happened in
Indianapolis with the coachs, Like I want to see is
Richardson gonna take that job? Daniel Jones?

Speaker 1 (35:55):
Richson is done?

Speaker 2 (35:56):
You think he is not.

Speaker 1 (35:59):
Just in a quarterback.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
I really, I think he's as crazy athletic. I just
don't think he's cut out to be an enoughl quarterback.
He wasn't accurate at Florida, and it's you can't. Accuracy
is a hard thing to teach.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
You know, accurate or not.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
I think he needs to just play ball. I think
that's his only thing is he ain't playing enough ball.
He only started one year at Florida.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
Did he pull himself out of a game last year?

Speaker 2 (36:22):
He's like, you can't do warm out, you can't do that.

Speaker 4 (36:26):
I totally understand. But that's why I think the storyline
is there. And this is another storyline the Carolina Panthers.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
You know what, I'm so glad you said that.

Speaker 3 (36:36):
Isn't Bryce Young's development going to be really interesting to
watch this year?

Speaker 4 (36:40):
I'm pulling for Bryce Shall I am. I'm pulling for
the kid. Got a good heart. You just know he's
in a stinky situation.

Speaker 1 (36:47):
He was and here's the thing, he was terrible as
rookie season. Yeah last year he was playing.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
Yeah, he was good last year? What about you? Three
teams are no teams?

Speaker 3 (36:57):
I think the Big Old the Panthers were one just
because of young They're gonna be better? How what will
what will happen him in the third year. The Bengals,
I think are interesting. Are they gonna pony up and
do something with that defense because Joe Burrow's stats last year?

Speaker 1 (37:11):
Yeah, go back and look at how Joe Burrow played
last year. Yeah, stupid, stupid good. He just needs a defense.

Speaker 3 (37:18):
Are they gonna able to step up and have a
start that's not slow because now they're gonna play their guys.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
In the preseason. I think the Broncos.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
Love between green Law and Hufonga from the Niners, they
were already a top ten defense.

Speaker 1 (37:37):
Yeah, they already have Certen.

Speaker 3 (37:38):
They drafted my guy out the Texas like they're gonna
be Like their defense is gonna be all world. Bow
Knicks was so much better than we thought that or
that offense came along at the end of the season
once he started getting better. Like the Broncos, I think
are gonna be a real problem for a lot of teams.
And when you have a head coach like Sean Payton, Yeah,
then you know that that wizard.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
Do you have a guy like that?

Speaker 3 (38:00):
You know, Okay, he's gonna maximize what this team has.
I think the Broncos could be a real problem for
a lot of teams.

Speaker 4 (38:06):
Right to hear this day, man, Jade Dallion's name got
dropped in Eminem's new song anybody ever dropped Michael Jinks?

Speaker 1 (38:17):
You know nobody's dropping my name.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
You don't know that Jinks.

Speaker 3 (38:22):
Maybe there's a rapper like scrolling through like Twitter, Yeah,
and like my name happens to pop up and he's like,
who the.

Speaker 1 (38:29):
Hell is of Michael Jenkins.

Speaker 2 (38:30):
Yeah, that's that's it.

Speaker 1 (38:32):
That's all I got.

Speaker 3 (38:33):
Wet the French smooth name you I started say, your
name has been dropped numerous times.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
I'm sure me and David Banner are friends. We went
to high school.

Speaker 4 (38:39):
Get you to go to high school, David Banner, Man,
you gotta realize in my high school just a ghetto
high school named PROVD High School in Jackson, Mississippi. We
had literally six pros and David Banner all day at
the same time. We're talking basketball players. One of my
other homeboys went to the Olympics and got the Selva
in the triple jump. The other guys we played in

(39:00):
the NFL. The other guy played in the NBA. Then
we had another guy in baseball. Then we got David Benner.
So on the Sun with David Benner and Little John
might get you, he dropped in himself like smooth. You
know what I'm saying, because that's my guy. Why in
the video rocking my jersey? Right yeah, Mississippi State jersey.

(39:22):
So now most deep lad have got name dropped in
a couple of song, especially because my name is so
easy to get something to rhyme with it because it's
one syllable, So it makes it easy for rappers to
rap smoot just you can do anything.

Speaker 1 (39:37):
That's why you hear Kobe's name in like every cause
it's it's a one syllable, like it's there.

Speaker 4 (39:41):
You could just say it like guy with long names.
People they stay away from him, right, Yes, it's like how.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
Can I rhyme and Yeah, you go with someone else. Yeah,
we go with someone else and Doug.

Speaker 2 (39:56):
My geek out had something to do with liquor.

Speaker 1 (39:59):
Okay, nice transition.

Speaker 2 (40:00):
All right, here we go and I'm gonna I'm gonna
ask you this.

Speaker 4 (40:03):
All right, we've seen all the weird things that that
a look abottle has in it, you know, like from
a snake, scorpion, worm, a worm, all that. I'm gonna
ask you, Jinx, what's the weirdest thing that you think
has been in the alcohol a bottle? Now?

Speaker 2 (40:19):
I got a cobrew.

Speaker 4 (40:20):
Oh jesus, a scorpion snake wine. Uh, they got a
beer and milk, but one from Canada. What do you
think it has in it?

Speaker 1 (40:32):
It's so bad, it's gross.

Speaker 9 (40:34):
It's really bad.

Speaker 1 (40:35):
Something something belonging.

Speaker 2 (40:37):
To a moose. No, this belongs to a human.

Speaker 1 (40:42):
Oh oh wait, isn't there like a finger a toe?
All right?

Speaker 3 (40:49):
Isn't it like an Alaskan Canadian thing where there's a
toe and it's a tradition like and this toe has
been putting so many drinks, so many drinks.

Speaker 2 (40:56):
Right, it's called the sour Toe cocktail from Canada.

Speaker 4 (41:00):
It's a shot of whiskey garnished with a real dehydrated human.

Speaker 2 (41:04):
Toe, drink as much touch it with their lips to
join the club. Yes, yeah, a toe, a toe?

Speaker 1 (41:13):
Would you do it?

Speaker 2 (41:15):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (41:15):
I would too.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
Clean.

Speaker 4 (41:20):
Yeah, listen, it's like that. And it's a e gin
that's in the UK. That's a gin that has ants
in it. I don't think this is bad. Mexico with
the scorpion, of course, and an algae beer made from
algae United States, we would do algae. Yeah, yeah, we

(41:41):
did algae while that does a separated toe. That's all
I'm saying, Like it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (41:47):
Anna, would you kiss the toe in the whiskey?

Speaker 3 (41:49):
No?

Speaker 9 (41:50):
No, I'm good.

Speaker 10 (41:51):
I think I've experienced enough life to be like it's
not interesting to me.

Speaker 2 (41:56):
I don't know.

Speaker 9 (41:57):
I just feel like that's not interesting to me.

Speaker 4 (41:59):
But I really like how ques Is who died and
said I'm gonna leave my toe for looking see.

Speaker 10 (42:04):
I was like, I don't know, I like, I don't
even want to think about like the origin story of
the toe.

Speaker 9 (42:09):
That's really what's like disturbing to me.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
I want to leave mine in the wheel for Canadian whiskey.
I want to leave the left big toe.

Speaker 1 (42:20):
At some point, there needs to be a new toe.

Speaker 2 (42:21):
It needs to be a new toe. It can't be
kissing the same toe all right.

Speaker 9 (42:26):
Yeah, I'm like, what where are they keeping this? And
how is that? Like that like definitely is against code.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
It's no susty alcohol. It's just no susty. There's no rule.

Speaker 9 (42:38):
I'll disinfected.

Speaker 2 (42:39):
Listen.

Speaker 4 (42:40):
I would probably truly throw up if somebody just set
a drink down and it was a toe in it.

Speaker 1 (42:46):
Yeah, yeah, you got to be mentally ready for that.
Like I know when you set this down, I'm going
to be looking at a toe. You don't want to
like a random toe somebody.

Speaker 2 (42:55):
Yeah, this personal we bought you a drink.

Speaker 1 (42:57):
Here, here, it's got a toe.

Speaker 9 (43:00):
I just I wouldn't need to know whose toe it was.

Speaker 10 (43:04):
Like the back, Like when I think of like a
Canadian Alaskan person, like I'm thinking of like a mountain
man who's been like Tod on the list, I've seen
some things.

Speaker 4 (43:16):
What about this toe is from like because it's liquid?
So what if he climbed the mountain froze to death.
They took their frozen frostbite. Yeah, they took his toe
as a tribute, yeah, to him and to his spirituality.

Speaker 1 (43:30):
What he brought to the.

Speaker 2 (43:31):
Land maple syrup put it.

Speaker 4 (43:35):
And said, and to keep him alive, Frost, I am
riding with him.

Speaker 2 (43:40):
And all I got to say is Canada, Sweet Canada, Sweet.

Speaker 1 (43:45):
Canada, Canada, O Canada, only you Canada, guys. That's it
for the Get Loud Podcast presented by a good Friends
at Sea Geek and Cut Water.

Speaker 2 (43:55):
I'm cut, I'm cutting. I'm only about halfway through.

Speaker 4 (43:58):
You know who I thought about would drink that toe
liquor were talking about and probably kiss the toe Logan
Cowboy Cody.

Speaker 1 (44:07):
Cowboy Cody would eat thee would.
