Karisa is an former college rower for the Vikings of Western Washington University. She is a CrossFit competitive athlete and coach, as well as a fiction writer.
In this interview, Karisa and I discuss her athletic background, going all the way back to childhood, her formative years, college and present day.
We talk about her experiences learning CrossFit movements, learning to compete and being on CrossFit i1uvit team who finished 10th in the world at the 2021 CrossFit Games. We delve into her experiences at CrossFit quarterfinals and semifinals.
