Couns Care: Perspectives

We take the first step and what happens next might be the motivation we need to make progress.  Overcoming laziness... Sucks!  Can you relate?

The older we get, the more likely we ask the question "What if I was younger?"  What would your response be?  Share with your young adults if you like but this is one of those topics that can shake a person up.

I've succumbed to temptation!  With the dramatics in politics (Biden, Kamala and "he who should not be named"), I find it hard to keep my mind straight.  If it is not about "he" it is about SHE...  Augggggggh!  CALGON, TAKE ME AWAY!!!

The time is now!  The premiere of "Call Her Name" by Flash W.  A sign of the times dictate action and I invite you to listen.  I used rap lyrics to help me process all these changes and hope you can use your talents, and ability to vote, to be the change you want to become.  Enjoy!

We are an end to a means.  Politicians would methodically say anything to get votes, but can they back up what they say?  Does the thought "By All Means Necessary" mean the take down of who or what ever get in our way?  There are consequences.  I woke up upset and this was the end result!

Damn politics.  I woke up and anger stired as I watched the news.  Check it out!

A day in a life of a Counselor.  Years of experiences has led to enhanced leadership skills, and I have learned a lot.  I took time to reflect on my role and hope to give you some insight into a Counselor's mind.

Let's choose to evolve over ignorance.   

Is diversity an illusion?  Is it situational based on location or ever the perspective of "dominant culture"?  The word that begins3 with N is a stereotype used to describe and/or categorize people with negative history attached to it.  Here is a story I pulled up; tell me what you think.

Damn show!  The Handmaids Tale got my attention and cannot help but notice how the show reflect current times.  There will not be any reveals or spoilers in this episode, but it is interesting the similarities between what we watch on social media and life in general.  No OfFlash here!

I'm a star!  I was stylin before a lot of people seen some of the fashion trends and I did not know it.  I did know I was different.  Do you know why the caged bird sing?  Hear me!

We are entitled to successful moments, but what do we learn?  Stress can dampen those feelings and accomplishments.  The end result being we remain in that state of being for extended amount of time.  Take time to "hear me out" and let me know what your thoughts are.

I seek connection and get it.  Now what do I do?  The meaning of the work connection has special meaning to us; dependent on how and where we use it.  I wish to connect with you so hear what this is about!  

I can grow to be who I am... older and wiser for the challenges ahead.  Now I'm taking a class at the local Junior College and enter with wisdom.  Damn there is always something to learn!
