Hey, welcome to an episode of Crippled by Culture, where we talk about everything in life and relate it to the disability and chronically ill community. My name is Sean Gold and I am an author, advocate, and nonverbal public speaker for the disability community.
Today I would like to thank Adam Ross for being my voice in this episode. In this episode, we are talking about the intersections of disability, mental health, and dating.
Guest bio: Tye Martin is a 34-year-old with muscular dystrophy and he has a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. His research focused on Alzheimer’s and disability tech research and development. He was hospitalized with a septic gallbladder in 2021 and placed on a ventilator. Tye lost his ability to talk, eat, and use my wheelchair. Fast forward to today and He’s able to drink his favorite iced latte and eat chips and guacamole.
