Speaker 2 (00:39):
Good morning.
Good morning, let's turn to theOld Testament.
This morning we're turning tothe book of Psalms, psalms 130.
If you need a Bible, pleasegrab a Bible from the back of
the church.
There's plenty of Bibles on theseats as well.
That is around us.
Grab yourself a Bible, as wealways say.
I hope you can hear us online.
I believe you can hear us loudand clear online wherever you
are on radio.
You might be on the socialnetworks with us this morning
(01:02):
streaming.
You might be wherever.
Whatever you may be doing.
May God bless you right now, inthe glorious name of Jesus.
We're going to Psalms 130, andwe're going to pick it up in
verse 5.
We're going to pick it up injust one verse at this moment,
just one verse.
You know we are living in very, very unusual times, very
precarious times.
We are living in very strongbiblical days.
(01:22):
You know the world is movingaccording to the word we are.
You know we are blessed andhighly favored.
We are wonderfully andfearfully made psalm 130.
You know verse 5 and it says Iwait for the lord, my soul waits
and in his word I put my hope.
When we just look at that wordin a moment, when you look, look
(01:43):
at those scriptures.
This is what I need for my life.
This is what I need as a humanbeing, this is what I need as a
Bible-believing believer.
This is what I need for everyarea of my life.
I need the word of God.
His word will sustain us, hisword will carry you, his word
will strengthen you, his wordwill help you in times of need,
(02:04):
of worry and doubt anduncertainty.
It says I wait for the Lord.
Do you feel like you're alwayswaiting?
Do you feel like you're just inthis position, this posture of
just Lord?
I've prayed, I've prayed Lord,I've asked Lord, I've been
asking Lord all week, all year.
Lord, I keep praying, I keeppraying.
He says well done, ben, keepgoing.
(02:31):
That's right.
Yeah, keep going.
Yeah, but, lord, I want it now.
But you got to wait because mytimings are different to your
timings.
My thoughts are higher thanyour thoughts.
My ways are beyond your ways.
As the Psalmist writes, he saysI wait for the Lord.
You know, as we're waiting onthe Lord, as I wait, as you wait
, as you go through the valley,as you go through different
areas of life, psalm 23, youknow, maybe turn to Psalm 23,
(02:51):
that beautiful Psalm 23.
Even though I go through, I'mwaiting.
God is strengthening me.
The Lord is my shepherd.
You know six verses of Psalm 23.
You know, I honestly believethat we are living in in very
powerful, strong, biblical timeswhen we are watching the
prophecies of old, of ofscripture, being fulfilled
(03:13):
through what we see in acrossthe world, through Israel,
through wars, rumors of wars, famines, plagues, desolations.
You know all that stuff.
So we got.
What are we going to hope in?
What are we hoping in thismorning?
What are we waiting for thismorning?
Are we waiting for the king?
You know it can be the mostdifficult, the most hard it's
thing that a human being, or Ishould say a bible believing
(03:35):
believer, can do is to waitpatiently for God in the
stillness of nothing, when theworld is just so loud and so
noisy.
The motorway life itself, commuting shops, right now.
If we could just be lifted upand be looking across the UK,
you know, everywhere would be sobusy.
(03:56):
Everywhere would be so busy.
Yeah, the mega church would bebrimming over.
The smaller church would bestruggling in areas, the, the
culture of celebrity.
We're in a culture of celebritystatus, celebrity status,
church, mega church.
But we've got an issue in the UK, as we know that there is such
a weakness within the church, there is such a weakness within
the denominations.
(04:17):
We've got to realize that I ama born again, born again
believer.
I believe in the word, I trustthe word.
Born again, born again believer.
I believe in the word, I trustthe word, but trusting and
standing on the word, that isvery visible, that everything
that we do because I see it, itis real, because it's here, it
is real, because it's tangible,it is real.
(04:38):
But then suddenly we getthrusted into this area of
Christianity and I'm verycareful how I use that word this
day and age, because you canhave that word and not even be a
Bible-believing believer.
We've got to make sure that wetell the world I'm that, john
3.3.
I'm a born-again Christian.
Jesus Christ lives in me.
(05:00):
His word is within me.
I'm a born-again Christian.
I'm not religious.
I don't belong to thedenomination, I don't belong to
pastor, I don't belong to allthis stuff.
I belong to the kingdom that'sbeen mentioned and prayed about
and sung about.
I belong to the kingdom.
You know there is freedom inthe kingdom.
The Bible says you'll know thetruth and the truth will set you
(05:23):
free.
You know, palestine is talkingabout freedom.
The flags of all that stuff, everything is talking about
freedom.
They don't understand whatfreedom is, because no one
understands what freedom is, noone from any culture, from any
tribe, from any tongue becausefreedom only comes.
Freedom doesn't come from havinga great job.
Freedom doesn't come fromhaving a great education.
Freedom doesn't come from beingin a big church, little church,
whatever church.
(05:44):
Freedom doesn't come fromhaving a great job.
Freedom doesn't come fromhaving a great education.
Freedom doesn't come from beingin a big church, little church,
whatever church.
Freedom doesn't come from allthis stuff.
Freedom comes from within andit is only Christ that can set
you free, because the materialvalue will not set us free.
The house that we have, the carsthat we drive, the area of life
(06:04):
, the materialistic way that weare told that we have to live,
cars that we drive, the area oflife, the materialistic way that
we are told that we have tolive, will not bring you freedom
.
It will bring you chains ofslavery.
It will bring you chains to thegovernment.
It will link you to the systemof church.
It will tie you to religion.
It will tie you to systems.
It will tie you to number 10Downing Street.
It will tie you to mortgage.
(06:24):
It will tie you to getting upand commuting at silly o'clock
and doing all this For what?
For the system?
Because we're not free.
You only find freedom in theword of God.
You can only find freedom.
You know you can have nothingof what the world offers, but
when you know who you are in God, you have everything.
(06:44):
Because the Bible says seek yefirst the kingdom of God and his
righteousness and everythingelse shall be added to thee.
But the world is upside down tothe kingdom of God.
And we think that we got to goand get an education and we got
to go and do this and we got togo and do that.
And we got to build ourselves acastle and we get in the castle
and we got the latest TVs, wegot new that.
And we got to build ourselves acastle and we get in the castle
.
We got the latest TVs, we gotnew carpet, we got new sofas, we
(07:07):
got all the material trappings.
And then suddenly we realize I'mtrapped, I'm a slave to the
system and now I have no choice.
I've got x amount of earningsthat I have to earn, no matter
what just to keep this boatfloating, when actually you will
know the truth, and the truthwill set you free.
(07:28):
See, religion and church willtie us down.
Systems will tie us down, political errors will tie us
down.
Money, the lack of, and andhaving it will tie it will.
It does so much.
If you want to be free, you canonly be free in Jesus.
You can only be free in Christ.
(07:50):
Where do we find this freedomthat costs nothing?
Because the price has been paid.
At the cross of Calvary.
There was bloodshed at thecross and we put so much weight
in materialistic stuff and maybewe do it without realizing that
we do it because it's what thecrowd does, it's what was
expected to do, it's what I mustdo.
(08:12):
It's schools teaching me to doit.
The world's showing me I mustdo it.
The world is telling me that welive a life.
The UK is very, very powerfulin Darwinistic ways.
Survival of the fittest.
Trample on whoever you've gotto trample on to get to the
survival of the fittest.
(08:32):
That's not scripture.
We've got to live by the word.
You've got to live fearlesslyin the word.
You've got to believe thatcancer bows.
You've got to believe thatsickness goes.
You've got to believe that.
I'm not relying on money, I'mnot relying on the pound, I'm
not relying on the car that Idrive, I'm not relying on the
badge on the front of the car,I'm not relying on the postcode
(08:53):
that I live because myself-worth and everything that
I've got is in the scripture.
So the Psalmist writes I waitfor the Lord.
Waiting for God, for the Lordright now, will be the most
challenging thing that anybeliever will ever do, because
(09:14):
the world is buying cars, buyinghouses, going on the holidays,
doing this and doing that, andthen we are waiting for God.
God, what is the next step ofmy life?
What is the next thing that youhave for my life?
Fix your eyes on the author andthe perfecter of your faith.
Hebrews 12.
See what Hebrews 12, 1, 2, and3 says Fix your eyes on Jesus.
(09:36):
When you fix your eyes on Jesus.
But where is this Jesus?
I don't have the privilege ofwhat the disciples had.
I don't have that autonomy ofChrist.
I don't have that tangiblepresence of Jesus.
I don't have that time when Ican sit around the table and
discuss things with thisphysical Christ, because after
(09:58):
40 days he was taken up and, asthe Bible says the way he was
taken up is the way he shallreturn.
So I don't have the privilegeof these disciples, of these New
Testament people, that they seeJesus, that they walk with
Jesus.
They sat around a table withJesus.
She touched the hem of thegarment of Jesus.
They listened to Jesus, theyhad a physical Christ and then
(10:20):
all of a sudden, on AscensionDay, he was taken up and he
disappeared into the heavenlyrealms.
And then suddenly, suddenly,I've got to live by faith.
But the world don't live byfaith.
It lives by sight and we putall our weight on by what I have
in my pocket and in my houseand where my house is and where
(10:41):
my job is and where my life is.
I put where my job is and wheremy life is.
I put everything.
The value that I see makesmyself worth.
So when I find that I don'thave any of that, I think of
myself, of worthless.
And even when we may have allthat, we see ourselves how we
shouldn't see ourselves.
The church has done an amazingjob over the years.
(11:03):
It has helped us to lose ouridentity.
We have lost ourselves in thevast wash of denominations of
the high church, this church, that church, we have lost
ourselves and we'recrisscrossing now church to
church, denomination, denomination, trying to to find
this hope.
(11:25):
The hope will only be found notin the building, but in the
kingdom.
The hope will only be found inthe word of God, because if
Jesus wanted us to have all hopein the fabric and religion, he
would have told us.
But what he says is it's not byworks, so that no one can boast
.
So works is irrelevant, it isby grace.
(11:48):
You have been saved and Ibelieve that the UK church
correct me if I've got thiswrong.
We have lost a long time ago theunderstanding of holiness, the
true understanding of who Jesusis, the true understanding of
the triune Godhead that we servethe Holy Spirit.
When we think and talk aboutthe Holy Spirit, we seem to
(12:11):
categorize the Holy Spirit thatthis Holy Spirit is going to
make me run around singing forjoy and, in certain parts of the
land, have this crazy revivalwhere I'm going to be rolling
around on the floor doing crazythings.
My Bible tells me that my Godis a God of order.
My Bible tells me my God is apowerful God and he does things
(12:31):
in order.
My God tells me that the HolySpirit is beyond human
understanding, that theanointing of God is outside of
the hands of man.
The anointing comes from Christ, you know, comes from God,
comes from the Holy Spirit, comes from Scripture.
The Bible that I read talksabout how holy this God is, how
(12:53):
powerful he is.
And then you look across thechurch, across the UK and
scattered across the world, andwe've lost the understanding of
what holiness is.
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord.
He's so holy, he's so pure.
Imagine what it would be like, imagine what it'd be like.
(13:16):
You know, we hear so manythings that if God was to show
up now, I'd go and give him ahug.
I wouldn't be able to get nearhim because of the holiness.
He's so strong, he's sopowerful.
But we've got pastors and we'vegot leadership teams and we've
got celebrity status in churchand it's all about numerics,
it's all about mathematics, it'sabout building a business, it's
(13:39):
about building an organization,it's about building the human's
kingdom.
It's about building.
I've built this church, I'vebuilt this ministry, this vast
ministry.
I've done this.
This church, all these peoplein here today I'm talking
outside of what we got in frontof us.
(14:00):
It's me.
I'm the pastor, I'm the leader,I'm the shepherd, I am the.
I am.
That's the trouble that we gotin.
You know, we got to get back.
I won't say basics.
We got to get back tofundamental truth, the church in
the UK.
I've got to get back.
We've got to get back to theword, because there's hope in
(14:22):
the word.
Cancer bows to the name ofJesus.
Do we realize that demonicforces run?
They know Jesus when they comeup out of that place and Jesus
and the dark spirits will walkin towards each other.
You know, when you read thetext and you bring it all
together, a bit of paraphrasinghere.
So interesting the, the demonsaid the dark forces says we
(14:46):
know who he is, but we don'tknow you 12.
You, 12, you, church, areirrelevant because you're not
doing nothing for us to worryabout.
The church isn't doing anythinginteresting, isn't spiritual,
it's mechanics, it's bells, it'swhistles.
It's bells, it's whistles, it'ssmoke, it's mirrors.
But that Jesus, that Jesus, weknow him.
(15:14):
Even the dark forces know theking and the 12 and the 72 and
all that that was aroundexperiencing all this stuff that
was going on.
The demonic forces went who areyou lot?
Who's Ealing?
Who's Hillsong's?
Who's Elevation?
(15:35):
Who's Bill Johnson?
Who are you?
We don't really know you.
You're doing what you want todo.
Who's the Methodist movement?
Don't know the Anglicans, theCatholic movement.
They're movements, but it'sJesus.
(15:56):
We're terrified of.
It's Jesus, because he has thepower and the authority to cast.
He has the power just as helooks at us.
Just at the sound of his name, just at the sound of his voice,
stars were put into place.
Just at the expression of God'svoice, the sun rose on the
(16:19):
first day.
Just at the sound of the God ofIsrael, molecules started to
come together.
Just at the sound of the voiceof Jesus, at the power of God,
just at the sound of this triuneGodhead, the stars were there,
the sand was there, the waveswere rolling.
(16:40):
But who are you lot?
Who are you?
We're the church, and what areyou doing for Jesus?
Bingo, yoga.
What are you doing for Jesus?
What are you doing for Jesus?
(17:00):
It's almost like these darkforces are saying to the church
we know Jesus more than you knowJesus.
It's interesting, isn't it,when you look at the demonic
forces and everything withinScripture.
There is power in the name ofJesus.
We do not need a building, wedo not need a denomination,
(17:24):
because we have and we are partof the kingdom that was
mentioned, the kingdom of God.
And the scripture says in Psalm130, verse 5, I wait for the
Lord, my soul waits.
It doesn't talk about the flesh, it talks about the inner.
It talks about the inner person, it talks about the one within.
It talks about that one thatsits within.
(17:46):
My soul waits, I wait, I waitfor the Lord and in his word I
put my hope.
If God wanted us to puteverything we had in the weight
of the church, he would havemade it clear in the text what
he's referring to is.
He says I want you to live bythe word.
(18:07):
I want you to live by thescripture.
I want you to live by Genesisto Revelation.
I want you to trust this wordwhen you're not feeling well.
I want you to trust this wordwhen everything's going wrong.
I want you to trust this wordwhen you don't know who you are.
I want you to read this word.
I want you to read it outsideof church, outside of religion,
(18:30):
outside of what you've beentaught by pastors, by Ben.
I want you to drop all thatstuff and I want you to trust me
and I want you to walk by faith.
But, god, I can't see you.
Yes, ben, that's what we callfaith God.
Sometimes I can't hear you.
Yes, ben, that's what we callfaith God.
Sometimes I can't hear you.
Yes, ben, that's what we callfaith God.
But everyone in every otherchurch down the road, father,
(18:51):
they're actually having a cup oftea with you.
Everyone else is seeing you.
Everyone else, dear God,they're having visions and
dreams.
Lord, I'm having nightmares andI'm waking up in terrors and
sweats.
I'm scared and I'm worriedabout fear and life itself.
Help me, lord.
And when I put the cry out, lord, it goes quiet.
That's faith-based.
But where are you?
(19:13):
I'm carrying you, where are you, god?
I'm inside of you.
Where are you, god?
I'm in the air that you breathe.
Where are you, god?
I'm in your life.
But God and God is saying Iwant you to trust me.
(19:34):
I want you to trust me.
I want you to trust me eventhough you go through the valley
of the shadow of death.
I want you to trust me eventhough it looks bleak and it's
tiring and exhausting.
I want you to trust me evenyou're not quite sure who you
are, because religion and churchand denominations are teaching
us and showing us so manydifferent things.
I want to know the real Jesus.
I want to know the real HolySpirit.
(19:55):
I want to know the real Jesus.
I want to know the real HolySpirit.
I want to know the real God ofIsrael.
I want a relationship with theKing of Kings and the Lord of
Lords.
I'm not interested in church.
Church will burn us out.
Church is like a circus.
Religion is like a circus.
We got clowns at the front.
My nose ain't red today.
We got clowns at the front.
We got missions swinging in andout on trapeze artists.
(20:19):
We've got things happening.
We've got showmanship in churchand religion like we've never
seen before.
We've got the TikTok church.
We've got the social mediachurch.
We've got TikTok pastors.
We've got social media pastors.
We've got this, we've got that.
But I want to be in the kingdom.
I want to be found under thehand and the voice of God.
(20:40):
I want to be found in thebiblical truth.
I don't want to be found in theplastic world that is around me
.
I don't want to be found bythis fake name it and claim it.
I want to be found in the truth, because Jesus tells me you
will know the truth and thetruth will set you free.
Palestine is looking forfreedom in political areas.
(21:01):
The world is looking forfreedom in political areas.
The world is looking forfreedom by.
If I can get this job, get thismoney, get this house, my life
will be better.
My life will only be betterwhen my soul realizes I've got
to wait on God.
I do uncountable funerals,burials, unbelievable.
(21:23):
I spend most of my day hangingaround graveyards and
crematoriums, and that's fact.
I bury people day after day, crematorium after crematorium.
I read eulogy after eulogy, Ilisten to this and I listen to
that, but something bringseverything to the same thing
when that casket is on thecatafell or when the casket is
(21:44):
being lowered down.
There's no car keys in thatcoffin, there's no money in that
coffin, there's nothing but ashell.
The earth suit in which we comein with the house has been sold
off by the kids.
It's gone to the cat's home.
The kids are fighting over yourMercedes.
They're putting your clothesdown.
(22:05):
The charity shop that youslugged yourself out for
Everything you kept, everythingthat you put together, has just
gone down the road.
The house is being carved up,the money is being carved up,
the money is being divided upand suddenly, who was Ben?
Who was.
Who was.
(22:26):
Who was as we lay in thatcasket.
That's, whatever colour, whatever tribe, whatever tongue,
how poor we are, how rich weare, how healthy we are, how
unhealthy we are, there issomething that is certain in
this world Each and every one ofus will lay in a casket, and
(22:47):
when we lay in that casket, bythat time we would have met,
because the Bible says within atwinkling of an eye you'll be
with me in paradise.
But then comes after that.
It's something that we don'twant to cheer ourselves up with
at this moment in time.
Is he going to say well done, good and faithful servant, or is
he going to say away from me, Ididn't know you.
(23:09):
When the lid is screwed downand we're slid into the back of
the hearse and the mourners areout, suddenly, life, we sold
ourselves to number 10.
We worked seven days a week.
We had two jobs, three jobs.
(23:29):
We had the finer things of theworld, but then my last breath
has been taken.
The Mercedes doesn't matteranymore, the house doesn't
matter anymore, the clothingdoesn't matter, the jewelry is
(23:53):
worthless.
The estate that I've aspired tobuild in my life has been sold
off.
Life is so thin and precarious.
It is for living for Jesus.
Seek ye first the kingdom ofGod and his righteousness.
(24:13):
But if I get that house in a TMpostcode, I've made it, jesus.
If I get that new car downthere, lord, if I get that, lord
, I've got to get electricbecause the government told me
to go electric.
Don't get spun the lie of savethe planet.
The planet is going to burn up,the planet is going to
(24:34):
disappear.
The planet is going to changewhen the king comes.
Yes, I'm all for looking afterand understanding, because you
know what I'm going to say.
Go to Genesis, chapter 1, andyou'll read about the greatest
green energy deal the world hasever heard of, but it doesn't
follow what Jesus said.
If the world will follow, thegreatest green energy document
(24:57):
that we'd ever have is inGenesis, chapter 1, 2 and 3.
He tells us how to look after,to move, to live, to war.
If I do that, and let me tellyou this don't get caught by the
net zero.
Don't get caught by the dirtydiesel line.
Don't get caught by the petrol.
Don't get caught by the dirtydiesel line.
(25:18):
Don't get caught by the petrol.
Don't get caught by.
You've got to be electric, you've got to be this, you've
got to be that.
If we all had electric cars atthis moment in time, let me tell
you, the roads out there, thetarmac would melt, the cables
would explode.
We can't even turn the kettleson at the same time in a
halftime of football and thegrid goes crazy.
Imagine what it would be likeif we all chucked our cars on at
night.
(25:38):
The tarmac would melt, theelectric explode.
Don't get sucked in to what theworld is saying.
Stand strong.
Stand on the word yes.
Look after the environment asaccording to the scripture.
Understand what God says aboutnature.
Understand what God says aboutsociety and the world.
(26:00):
Understand the power of theword of God.
Realize who you are in God.
Realize who you are.
There is power.
In the name of Jesus, I wait forthe Lord.
My soul waits.
My soul waits for him.
The enemy that no one sees.
The enemy my soul waits.
My soul waits for him.
The enemy that no one sees.
The enemy, my soul waits.
And his word I put my hope on.
(26:24):
I put my hope in his word.
I put my hope in the King.
I put my hope in the scripture.
I put my hope in the love ofGod.
I put my hope in the King ofKings and the Lord of Lords.
He is the great I am.
He is worthy of all praise.
He is Jesus Christ.
He is the redeeming King.
He is the coming King.
Oh my God, whoever you are thismorning, wherever you are
(26:46):
scattered across the world, knowwho you are in Christ.
Let's quickly turn to 2Thessalonians, chapter 3.
Let me see if I've got it.
2 Thessalonians, chapter 3,verse 3, and it says but the
Lord is faithful and he willstrengthen and protect you from
(27:07):
the evil one.
The king will protect you.
He is faithful, he is steadfast.
His word is true.
2 Thessalonians, chapter 3,verse 3.
The Lord is faithful and willstrengthen and protect you.
Do you feel weak today?
Are your bones aching?
Is your back aching?
(27:27):
Is your mind just absolutelyworn out?
Do you feel like there's no oilin the cogs anymore, in your
head, that all you can hear isthe cogs of life just grinding?
Do you feel like you're justdoing the same monotonous thing
day in, day out?
And suddenly we find why am Inot happy?
Why haven't I got this sense ofpeace in my spirit that the
(27:47):
Scripture speaks about?
Why haven't I got this sense offulfillment?
Why am I lacking what ismissing in my life.
It is the power of the Word ofGod, it is the power of
Scripture, it is the power ofhope.
I need more Word, I need moreScripture.
I need more of Jesus.
I need the Word.
(28:08):
The Bible says, ben, you'regoing to live by faith.
You've got to live by faith.
Son, you've got to trust me inevery area of your life.
You got to trust me for yourhealth.
You got to trust me in everyarea and every section and every
wave.
You got to trust me in thestorms.
Trust me when the waves seemtoo big.
Trust me when the ocean seemstoo wide to cross.
(28:30):
Trust me when you're standingat the brink of the Jordan River
.
Trust me that I'm going to partthat, but, god, I can't swim.
I'm carrying so much on myshoulders, lord, how am I going
to get across the other side ofthe Jordan?
Ben, what I want you to do is togo up to the River Jordan edge
and I want you to stand in theRiver Jordan.
But, god, do you know it's atfull flood stage?
(28:51):
Yes, I know it's at full floodstage.
I stage, yes, I know it's atfull flood stage.
I've commanded you to standhere at this season, and I want
you to see the strength of theriver before you.
I want you to watch the debristhat's coming down.
I want you to understand thatyou can't do nothing without me,
ben.
I want you to understand thatwith me, I can do anything for
(29:12):
you.
But, lord, I'm looking at thephysical river.
Anything for you, but, lord,I'm looking at the physical
river, lord, I'm looking at thisriver before me.
I'm standing, lord.
I'm ankle deep, lord, I'm shindeep.
Now, I'm knee deep.
I'm standing in the riverJordan and everything is
breaking out against me.
Lord, I can feel the weight.
Can you feel the weight of lifeagainst your legs?
(29:33):
Can you feel that if any wavecomes one more time, it's going
to wipe your legs out andsuddenly I'm going to be carried
down the river Jordan of life?
Do you feel that you can'tcross this river?
God, I can't go any furtherwithout you.
Okay, ben, I want you to stand.
Shall, I stand six feet backbecause I don't want to get wet.
(29:53):
No, I want you to go right into the trial.
I want you to go right in tothe muck.
I want you to go right into themud.
I want you to go right into themire.
But, god, you want me to standin the trouble, in the face of
adversity?
Yes, I do.
When God commanded the Leviticalpriesthood, they was carrying
(30:15):
the Ark of the Covenant.
And then suddenly we understandthrough Scripture that the
Levitical priesthood werecarrying the Ark externally.
It was carried externally, butthen all of a sudden, when
Calvary comes into the arena, suddenly we find this God, this
King, this Christ, and the Biblesays in John 1, verse 14, and
(30:37):
the Word became flesh and madeHis dwelling among us.
Suddenly we find that theLevitical priesthood are not
carrying the Ark of the Covenant, because what was in the Ark,
what it represented, is suddenlyhere in front of our eyes.
And then suddenly the crosshappens, ascension Day, and
everything goes on.
Suddenly there's this transferof God's power from the
(31:00):
Levitical priesthood, and thistransfer in his power is not
external anymore, but it'sinternal.
And God is saying right nowfrom the Old Testament to the
New Testament Ben, you'recarrying words, you're carrying
Genesis to Revelation.
Sister, brother, I am living inyour life, I am in your heart,
(31:21):
your mind, your body, your soul.
But, god, do you see the sizeof the river?
I want you to be strong andcourageous Joshua.
Do not let this book of theLord depart from your mouth, but
meditate on it day and night.
But, lord, I've got Netflix towatch.
Emmerdale's coming on.
Lord, I've got to catch up onCorrie tonight.
(31:41):
Lord, I'll just put you on theback burner.
Lord.
Football's on, lord, sorry, charlton Millwall, arsenal,
whatever it may be.
Lord, I've got to get to thegame.
Jesus, lord, I've got to get tothe gym.
I'll catch you up later.
Lord, it's not about getting tochurch.
I'll get to church tomorrow.
Lord, it's not about getting tochurch, it's about getting in
(32:04):
the word.
It's not about putting him off,it's about putting him first.
Lord, I'm going to sit in thestillness.
I'm going to sit in my car, I'mgoing to sit in the van, I'm
going to sit on the edge of thebed.
I'm just going to sit in my car.
I'm going to sit in the van,I'm going to sit on the edge of
the bed, I'm just going to walkand I'm going to listen to the
Bible app on my ears and I'mgoing to listen to your word,
lord and Lord.
I'm going to believe, lord, that I'm going to find this hope
that I'm looking for in theworld.
(32:25):
And I didn't mean to, lord, butI was just following the crowd.
I was following the footballcrowd, I was following the music
crowd.
I was following the celebritycrowd, I was following the TV
crowd, I was following thesocial crowd, the network crowd,
I was following the crowd oflife and I didn't realize, lord,
that that crowd was taking meto a wrong destination.
And where I've got to be is I'vegot to be in the garden of
(32:45):
Gethsemane, just me and God, andsaying God, what is the plan
that you have for me?
What is it over my life, lord, that you have for me, sisters,
over my life, lord, that youhave for me Sisters and brothers
?
We're coming to the table andwe've been in that simple
scripture, and now we justflicked over to 2 Thessalonians,
chapter 3.
And it says in verse 3, but theLord is faithful and he will
(33:06):
strengthen and protect you.
The Lord is faithful.
The Lord is faithful, he willprotect you and strengthen you
and lead you and guide you.
And as we come to the breakingof bread and as we come to the
taking of the cup, we are notdoing it because it's a
religious activity, we're notdoing it because the order has
(33:28):
put it in place.
We're doing it because my king, your king, told us.
We're doing it because of veryclearly of your king told us.
We're doing it because of veryclearly of Exodus, chapter 12,
chapter 13.
We're doing it because this isabout the Passover.
We're doing it because this isabout what the Bible tells us.
He says go and get a lamb, sacrifice a lamb, you know.
(33:50):
Get the blood of the lamb, putit in the basin at the base of
your door, put it over thelintel, over your doorway, put
it over your house, because whenI fly over, the blood will be a
sign, not religion, not church, nothing to do with religion,
(34:11):
but the blood will be a sign andwe see the fulfillment of that
scripture.
When Jesus said it is finished, and he bowed his head and he
gave up his breath, the Passoverlamb, the lamb that was
sacrificed, and God said to theEgyptians, he said to Israel, he
(34:34):
said to the surrounding area atthat time, the blood will be a
sign.
He says also I am the sameyesterday, today and forevermore
.
If he said the blood will be asign back, then the blood will
be a sign now, until his return.
So the blood is critical, but wedon't want to talk about the
(34:57):
blood in the English church.
It's too much.
There's children and don't talkabout blood.
We can't talk about Jesus onthe cross, it's too much.
But we'll let the children playthe most horrific games on TV,
watch the most horrific films, engage in the most horrific
things, but we can't talk abouta crucifixion.
We can't talk about the bloodof Jesus.
(35:18):
It's too much.
There is power in the blood.
The scripture says there is lifein the blood and I've got to
understand.
There had to be blood shed, there had to be blood shed,
blood had to be shed.
Nothing about church, nothingabout religion, nothing about a
(35:38):
denomination, nothing.
But God said the blood will bea sign and I will pass over.
That's why we got the Passover, not because a denomination has
decided to call it the Passover, because God said loud and clear
in the book of Exodus, chapter12, I will pass over and the
(36:04):
blood will be a sign over yourhouse.
I'll save you because you'reunder the blood.
Thank you for the cross In thename of Jesus.
In the name of Jesus, as wecome before you right now, lord,
(36:27):
we pray just for ourselves atthis moment and, lord, we ask
you, father, as we break breadtogether now, in the mighty name
, the greatest name in heavenand earth, in the name of Jesus,
lord.
I understand now that this isnot churchy.
This is nothing to do withreligion.
Religion but this is to do withscripture, and the scriptures
were fulfilled when Jesus wentto the cross.
(36:48):
You know the Passover, thatteaching of the Passover started
in the book of Exodus, 12, 13,14, 15 coming through.
It has nothing to do withreligion.
Religion has taken this anddone what it wants to do with it
.
So we need to take it inaccordance with the word.
And Christ says as often as yougather together, do this in
(37:10):
remembrance of me, not inremembrance of religion and
church and everything that goesalong with that.
But I'm doing it because Jesussaid remember me Ben.
Remember me Ben when you takebread in your hand, when you
break bread, remember that thatis a representation of my body.
You haven't got to jump throughhoops.
You haven't got to do this.
You ain't got to go this, youain't got to go there.
(37:31):
This is an emblem, this is arepresentation, this is a type
of it's reminding me that thisis the body of Christ that was
broken from the garden to thecross.
So, father, bless this bread asI take this right now In the
name of Jesus.
(37:52):
Amen, I thank you for the bodyof Christ that was broken for me
.
The Bible says he took the breadand the cup and we always say
there's a redemption cup, thethird cup.
He took the cup, the cup thathe's talking about and praying
about, the cup that he's inanguish in the Garden of
Gethsemane.
Take this cup, not any of thethree others, but he's talking
(38:16):
about the cup of redemptionbecause we are redeemed and
we've got everything to live for.
We've got everything to livefor.
We've got everything to livefor Everything.
So, lord, will you cover mefrom the crown of my head to the
sole of my feet.
As I recognize, lord, this isgrape juice, whatever it is
today, lord, but what itsymbolizes is the blood of Jesus
(38:41):
.
So, lord, cleanse me from thecrown of my head to the sole of
my feet, amen.
You know, religion has takenthis and turned it into what
it's turned it into.
It's a good idea to study thePassover, because suddenly we
understand what the bread andwhat this cup means.
(39:02):
It's not about religiousactivity.
The church did not make this up.
The church has taken it andstretched it and done what it's
done with it in alldenominations.
I've got to come back to thebiblical interpretation of what
it is.
It comes from Exodus.
God gives a clear word out toeveryone in that audience around
(39:25):
when you do the sacrifice, thelamb, the lamb without blemish.
We're out of here.
We're over time.
We've got to get out.
You know the cameras are goingto click off.
God bless you, wherever you are.
If you're still with us at thismoment in time, you know, may
the hand of God be with you andstrengthen you.
In the mighty name of JesusChrist.
(39:47):
We're out of here, come on.
Thank you, jesus.
Let's just pray.
Father, in the name of Jesus,we're blessed and highly
favoured, wonderfully andfearfully made.
Will you lead us and guide us,lord?
Will you strengthen us, lord, and carry us in the arms of
(40:07):
Jesus?
Move over us.
We pray, lord.
Thank you for everybody online, thank you for everybody in the
house today.
But, lord, as we click out, lord, lord, we just pray that we
will understand who we are inChrist, that there is power in
Jesus.
Father, thank you for thismorning.
All those that are not with usbless them.
All those that are with us,bless them, all those that are
(40:28):
on the other side of the world.
Bless them, lord.
But right now, lord, we justwant to say thank you, jesus.
Thank you, lord, spirit of theliving God, cover us in the
blood, wash us from the crown ofour head to the sole of our
feet.
Lord, let your love, let yourmercy, let your unfailing
(40:51):
presence carry us.
Today, lord, I pray foreverybody online.
I ask you, jesus, that you willstrengthen them and you will
just refresh them.
All those in the house.
The same prayer, lord in thehouse, lord, the brothers, the
sisters, the children before methis morning, lord, I pray, lord
, that you'll strengthen themonline in the house, and lord
that we will be found as jesusfollowers, that we will be found
(41:14):
as jesus followers, that wewill follow jesus christ as our
lord and savior, that we will, dear god, walk in the word and
we will not live by sight, butwe will live by faith and we
will trust you and stand on theholy word of God, spirit of the
living God.
I come to the close of thisservice right now and I ask you,
(41:35):
father, I ask you, lord, thatyou'll sweep for Israel today,
lord, that Israel, lord, willsee the joy of the Lord, that
Palestine, the Middle East, willsee the joy of the Lord, that
Palestine, the Middle East willsee the power and the joy of the
Lord and they will receivesalvation.
And salvation will go from theJews to the Gentiles, right the
way out, right the way through,as the Scripture tells us that
(41:55):
many will be saved today in thename of Jesus, not because of
church, not because of the noiseof church, but because of the
power of the blood of JesusChrist.
So, lord, we thank you thatsalvation sits in the hand of
the triune Godhead.
So, lord, I ask you that youwill help us to understand what
(42:15):
it means to be born again, to beborn from above, that it's
impossible, impossible by man.
And right now, lord, holySpirit, as we just come to a
close and as we come to the rest, father, I just ask that the
glory of God and the anointingwill descend over everybody
today.
(42:36):
Your love will descend overeverybody today, your presence
will descend.
So, father, thank you for time.
And Lord, as we leave the house,as we leave online church today
, across the world, may yourglory bless them pressed down,
running over, shaken together inthe wonderful name of Jesus.
Thank you for joining us todayon radio.
(42:56):
Thank you for joining us acrossthe world.
God bless you in Jesus' name.
Amen, the Lord is good.
We're going to stand.
We say the Lord's prayertogether.
We're out of here.
Let's just stand and say theLord's prayer together as we
just come to a close.
