This was a fun conversation. I always find it so cool to hear stories about how people get into this industry. Today you will meet Richard Fyk, Co-Founder of SYC Brewing in Edmonton, Alberta.
Richard did not start out in Hospitality, and I think that's what makes this such a cool story because he loves it, he gets it, and SYC is doing some really amazing things and creating some awesome beers. A part of this conversation that I loved so much was when we spoke about a regular guest of SYC whose daughter was diagnosed with cancer, for him, and the Stollery, they created a beer called Mana Ohana (meaning family strength in Hawaiian), it's such a heartwarming story.
