Gundam Info the official YouTube channel streamed 10 films to celebrate almost getting to 2 million subscribers. Among them were the OG MSG Movie Trilogy, which I’ve seen and loved, and Zeta Movie Trilogy that I haven’t ever gotten a chance to see. Figured I’d share my thoughts on them!

I finally got around to seeing one of the biggest entries in the Gundam franchise, SEED. I watched the HD Remaster version, which was quite nice. I know SEED and DESTINY have been talked about to death on the internet, but I figured I’d share my take on SEED anyway (haven’t seen DESTINY yet).

I’m back again with my end of year wrap up for anime in 2021. I share my thoughts on my favorites and biggest surprises of the year. What were yours? Happy New Year!

SAO is a huge franchise that you most likely have some exposure to already, but SAO Progressive is an expanded retelling of the first arc, Aincrad, and the movie is based on that. It also mainly focuses on Asuna, rather than Kirito, as the main POV, which gives the whole thing a fresh new feel. I’m very excited to see how the Progressive movies continue!

I don’t really need an excuse to rave about one of my favorite light novel series again, but here’s an update on it through halfway into part 4 of the story (volume 16). I gave a ton of warnings at the start about spoilers and what context I was going to be discussing the series from, but after finishing it, I don’t think I spoiled all that much and talked in broad enough strokes that it should be mostly fine.

This is the latest series by another one of my favorite manga authors and I’m so glad it’s being released in English. I had read the web comic on the artist’s twitter from pretty much the beginning and loved it. It’s even getting an anime next year! So uh, just go read it. It’s cute and fun!

I finally got around to watching the Netflix Original (a real one) anime series, Eden. I enjoyed it, but it definitely has its flaws, that mostly stem from the short 4 episode runtime and fairly common scifi theme. Not the soundtrack by Kevin Penkin though. That was beautiful!
