Speaker 1 (00:01):
You are listening to
the Double A Club and this is
your host, ny Boom, and myco-host, big Daz.
We'll be talking about trendingtopics in healthcare and
basically, just as a disclaimer, just to let the listeners know
that this is just basically onour opinions and speculations
(00:24):
and I hope you guys enjoy theshow.
Let's start off and kick offwith our first topic and I'm
going to give you another storyI'm going to give you another
story that kind of.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
I'm not saying this
is exactly the reason, but it's
a cause.
You know what I'm not saying?
This is exactly the reason, butit's a cause.
You know what I'm saying.
There's a six-year-old going toa Bronx prep school and he's in
kindergarten and he greets hiskindergarten teacher.
(01:01):
The child opens up his backpackto get ready for class and he
sees a gun in his back.
The child immediately oh man,now again a lot of people when I
(01:23):
just said and I mentioned thisstory, they're gonna be thinking
, oh, this must be like a badschool in the Bronx.
No, it's not.
It's listed in the top 25% inthe state of New York level.
(01:49):
It's not.
It's a Bronx prep school, Idon't know exactly where, but um
, but how would you act as aparent, as a parent of of of a
student that's in that class, with that kid?
Speaker 3 (02:13):
and you find out what
they find out about the kids
and what happened to that gun.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Granted the kids
would not know anything about a
gun scare at his school.
And he was, like he heard aboutthe music, like I'm just I not
(02:42):
going to school.
He didn't tell his parents, hedidn't tell me, he didn't tell
his mom anything about it.
We had to find out later.
When we found out that hewasn't in school, and then he
told us what he heard and why hedidn't want to go to school, I
was like, all right, Iunderstand, good, smart, but
still you need to fucking tellhim.
(03:05):
You know, you need to form yourparents about it.
You know what I'm saying?
Your dad's literally a fuckingramble.
Tell me no, no, no, no, hedoesn't have a bully.
But I think what he said, whathe found out, was that, which
(03:30):
doesn't make no sense, butsomebody saying that they were
bringing a gun, and I guess theword spread out and he got a rip
of the word.
He was like I'm not going toschool tomorrow, it never
happened.
We got to rip the word and theyI'm not going to school
tomorrow, it never happened.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
There's a whole lot
of noise over there.
I'm standing next to nothing,I'm just walking around, but
anyway, it's fine.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
So in another
incident right, I mean in that
last story they investigated theparents about it.
You know what I'm saying.
Since it wasn't the kid's fault, the kid didn't bring the gun
in.
You know what I'm saying.
What happened was the fatherput the gun in.
What happened was the fatherput the gun in his bag and I
guess he forgot about it becausehe's fucking working, fucking
(04:33):
50-60 hours and can't fuckingthink.
And why would he have a gun?
I don't know.
But yeah, okay, I don't knowwhat went through his mind and
he said oh, it's a good idea toput the gun in my son's son's
son's bag.
One day he actually had books in, and Then he takes the school.
That alone, that alone justshows you the connection of he
(04:56):
doesn't even know what bag it'skids brings with him.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
Yeah, yeah, I've seen
right.
Yeah, that's bad.
So, yeah, absolutely right.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
So in another
incident right the brooklyn in
the brooklyn collegiatepreparatory high school, a 14
year old was seen on videosurveillance displaying a gun.
This kid here was.
This kid was searched and hadan unloaded 9 millimeter gun he
(05:34):
is fucking retarded yeah.
but here's the thing you know,we, we can, we can, we can put
all the blame on the kid andeverything.
And you know something the kiddoes deserve the blame on the
kid and everything.
And you know, sometimes the kiddoes deserve the blame, right,
because he's trying to show offright.
But here's the thing why is hedoing this?
Because his parents are notfucking home, they're at work
(05:55):
trying to support his ass, andyou can't blame the parents
because she doesn't have thefucking time to do it.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Yeah, you're right,
how are?
Speaker 2 (06:06):
you going to blame
the parents?
She's not even home to haveenough time to teach her son
what to do.
The rights wrongs you know sayto be ethical.
She can't do anything.
How you gonna do that with onehour a day?
Speaker 3 (06:24):
yeah, yeah,
absolutely right what comes?
Speaker 2 (06:27):
first what comes
first is putting a roof over
that motherfucking head, puttingfood on that table so his belly
stays full and making sure thathe goes to school and gets an
education.
That is it.
That's what the parent isthinking about, because she
can't teach him more, becauseshe's not at home.
She's fucking working, tryingto support all these things,
(06:49):
that these fucking corporationscontinue to raise prices so she
can continue staying at work andnot take care of her fucking
kid.
And what makes this even worse?
Back in the days you were ableto do that because you could
(07:10):
have one person in the familyworking and support everything
and the wife would stay home.
Now you cannot do that.
You have to have both people atwork, because just to stay,
just to rent an apartment or twoor two own a home, you have to
have two incomes in it yeah, yeah, absolutely right.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
At minimum, you have
to have two incomes, exactly.
I mean, the price of everythinghas gone up.
You're absolutely right, or not?
Speaker 2 (07:48):
So at what point is
the parent supposed to teach
this boy morals about notfucking doing stupid shit like
that?
Speaker 3 (08:00):
Yeah, yes, right,
it's insane how much it's gone
up.
And we're talking about 20years ago.
Yeah, we do research on 10years ago, like From like 2016,
(08:20):
I got gas prices of $2.25.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
And now, right now
it's like $4.
All right, let's use somethingelse.
Right, let's use real estate.
Right.
Let's say because real estate, you know, doesn't really hike up
like that, you know what I'msaying Like, the cost of housing
is new, but once you have it,you have it, that's it right.
So let's say, for example, youhave an in-house and you paid,
(08:48):
you bought them when they werecheap and like a thousand
dollars a month, right.
And now you paid them off, those 10, those 10, right, and
you want them off those 10.
Those 10 houses, right, and youwant to rent out those 10
because you want to startaccumulating money.
Why, again, let me remind you,the houses are paid off.
Even if they're not paid off,it doesn't matter.
(09:10):
It's $1,000.
Why would you rent the housefor $1,800?
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Yeah, why would you
rent the house for $1,800?
Speaker 2 (09:21):
You know what I'm
saying.
That's what we're dealing with.
You know what I'm saying?
We got people.
Look at your landlord, right, your landlord in your apartment
complex.
That motherfucker keeps raisingthe rent, but for what he does
no upkeep in the building, really, and the building is
(09:41):
already bought.
It doesn't go up in price, sowhy are you raising the price?
Speaker 3 (09:47):
Yeah, that's the way
he's raising it, because he's
allowed to.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
Exactly that's what
I'm saying.
And because he's greedy, he'sfucking greedy.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
and then the point
that the thing that makes it so
sickening is that once you startaccumulating a significant
amount of money where you'relike, okay, I'm happy, this is
good, I'm, I'm getting paid, I'mrich and whatever you want to
fucking saying you're successful, you, you still want more, want
more, you want more, you wantmore.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Yeah, that's.
That's the successful mindset.
Yes, it is Supposedly.
Yes, I don't think I.
I don't think that's asuccessful mindset because
you've already reached success.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
That is a greedy
mindset.
You are being greedier Already.
Your mindset for successalready got you to become
successful.
You already have this.
You're already accumulating acertain amount of money.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
Now you want to raise
prices, to get greedier, to get
more, to sponge out as much ofthat soap and water out of that
sponge as possible.
Yeah, that's not a successfulmindset, that's a greedy mindset
.
Greedy, yeah, I mean that'sexactly.
But yeah, that's not asuccessful mindset.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
That's a greedy
mindset.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
Greedy, that's greed.
Yeah, it is greed, you'reabsolutely right.
But I mean, that's what thesuccessful mindset is on.
It's on the greed of wantingmore of what you want, and these
(11:46):
people are greedy with money,so their success plan is for
money.
Well, I'm just saying, I justunderstand both sides, right go
(12:11):
ahead.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
There's another
incident that happened in ps5,
this schools in Queens right.
It's a day school program andthey found a few old boy with a
loaded nine millimeter guninside his bag.
Speaker 3 (12:29):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Seven year old seven.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
Seven year old seven
yo Was a school program PS5, in
Queens, so he already wentthrough the whole day of school.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
No, no, no, no, no.
I think he was.
Yes, he went through the wholeday of school and he was going
to, I guess, the after schoolprogram, or whatever.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
Oh yeah, yeah, that's
crazy.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
Yeah, yeah and yeah,
that's crazy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, with a gun inhis bag, a loaded 9mm.
That means he knew it was inthere.
He probably did, I'm not sure.
I don't know anything moreabout the story.
So I just got hooked up tothese stories.
They just gave me bits andpieces of the stories and I just
grabbed what I could, but itwasn't a lot of information.
But all this stuff, you know,if you put it all together, I
(13:25):
mean you can.
You can safely assume that mostof these incidents that I
mentioned, they probably have asingle family home, a single
parent home, I mean.
And if they don't have a singleparent home and they have dual
parents, nobody's in the house, you know, they're always out.
(13:49):
So that's the reason why I'mbringing up a lot of these
stories, because this is, thisis I'm trying you, I'm giving
examples on what's going tohappen if we continue this
fucking this disgustingworkforce of driving people to
the grave, like people are notgoing to reach retirement
(14:10):
because of this.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
You know, yeah, I
know, they fucked up the social
security system and all that thesocial security system process
is not going to be anything Forexample, like me at work, I
refuse to do overtime.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
I tell them don't
even fucking call me, Seriously,
You're not going to get pickedup.
Don't call me.
If you're trying to get me tocome in, no, don't do it.
If you let me know in advanceand I can fit it in my schedule,
then I don't mind doing theovertime.
But there's no way you'recalling me out the blue and
(14:52):
saying, hey, keep up.
No, fuck no.
I'm not you know what I'm saying.
Like my answer machine says Ifyou're fucking calling me, it's
a fucking no, that's what itsays.
So my manager calls me, that'swhat he's gonna get as an answer
machine.
If you're fucking calling me,it's a fucking no, because I'm
(15:17):
not fucking doing overtime.
Now.
Do I need the overtime?
Yes, I probably do need doingovertime.
Now do I need the overtime?
Yes, I probably do need theovertime because, like I said, a
lot of stuff is raising inprices and stuff and I'm getting
a little bit strapped with cashbecause I have to spend on
certain things and stuff likethat and I just you know.
But to be honest with you, I'mnot going to do overtime because
(15:37):
I'm not going to affect myhealth.
You know what?
I'm not going to do overtime?
Because I'm not going to affectmy health.
You'll think I want, I'mlooking at the long run and I'm
trying to live to 70, 80, 90years old.
You don't think so I'm notgonna burn myself out physically
at work.
So I figure out ways to do allthis budgeting thing and you
know, if I have to fucking movemoney around of what I have to
(15:57):
try to take this bills and foodand stuff like that, then guess
what I'm going to do that.
But I'm not fucking going in towork to do overtime because I
need to, because I need it,because I can't afford it.
No, fuck that.
You know what I'm saying.
Like, if I, if it gets to apoint like that where I cannot
afford anything, then I'mleaving that job and finding a
job that pays more anything, then I'm leaving that job and
(16:18):
finding a job that pays more.
Now, that's not that simple foreveryone else.
I understand that, but that'smy mind, that's how I find it.
I'm going to leave that fuckingjob and I'm going to find
something that pays more.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
that's going to at
least pay me for what I need.
