lay down on my, my pillows, it's like, as soon
as I got those things out, like a light out,
like a light. finally all the gears can stop turning

let's get into all things you, sir. Uh, first of all,
thank you for doing this. And, um, I know you're
a busy guy, so thank you for taking time out
(06:47):
of your busy schedule to, to come here and talk
with us.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
And, um, yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
Um, first of all, let's, uh, if we may, I'd
like to ask you about what's going on with, um,
with your website, uh, reginaldforman.com and, and how that came
to be.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Well, first of all, man, again, man, this is my
second time being on the platform and I always applaud
people who are making a way that people can hear
what's powerful voices. Um, and that we're only powerful because
of God. So I thank you again for having me
on and being interested to have me on two times,
meaning that there's something you believe God has put in
me to say. So yeah, regular foreman.com. Can't, uh, that's
(07:25):
my website through my life stories coming about through as
a speaker, a fashion designer, Arthur, um, coming from Chicago projects,
going to prison, changing my life. And God had a
call on my life, man. And just showed me that
I would be a speaker and a businessman. Um, And
so I've been doing this since 2009. I always tell
people I started dreaming in prison. You know what I mean?
(07:47):
Beautiful things are made in the dark. And so when
I got out, man, I kind of got a business
book from my father, you know, being raised by him
a little bit in Miami about business. But then God
showed me that I had the creativity to write and speak, man.
So I turned into a business for years, man. Best
to be on CBN, TBN, front of newspapers, whatever. uh,
(08:09):
black enterprise, the St. Louis American, a lot of great
things happened in my beginning years because I trusted God's
gift to me. And I just started going for it.
Speaker 5 (08:18):
Nice.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
And, and, and so through, through all these hardships in your,
in your life, uh, eventually you, you, you turn that, um, uh,
all those, all those things that were negative, God turned
it for good. He was able to use it for good.
And then, uh, you could, you could show people, Hey, Yeah,
(08:40):
it can be dark.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
It's dark.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
It was only dark before the dawn.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
And here, and here this man is a Testament. And
I think, man, I can't believe that young people aren't
just glomming onto you like left and right, right now,
just going, dude.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
Maybe, maybe I, maybe I need to stop doing this
in my life. Maybe I look, look, like he's, he's,
he's doing, he's doing good. He's doing well in life. And, and, uh,
I want, I want to do that. I want to
do well in life. Maybe I stop, uh, engaging in, uh,
well for, for me, uh, coming from, uh, the, the,
where I came from. I mean, uh, I was a
violent young man. Let's put it that way. So, um, yeah, uh,
(09:23):
be able to put, put down that physical sword and
pick up the spiritual one. Um, that's a transition.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
Yes, sir. Yeah. I definitely know what it is to
come from violence. It's funny you say that. I sent
out inspirational texts daily, and last night I was just
thinking about how many times that God saved me from death. Brother,
I'm talking about, man, Chicago projects where they would kill
you or beat you half to death for wearing the
wrong color. They're fighting over territory. I've been involved, seen it.
(09:53):
I was fighting from building to building where my little brother,
and they grabbed my little brother with a towel, choked him,
and I had to come out and fight with bats.
I've seen a lot, man. Then going to Miami, not
that Will Smith Miami, that first 48 Miami. You know
what I mean? We're out, man. We thugging it out.
And because, you know, I was moved into a corporate
American home. My house was like the first Prince of,
(10:14):
my life was like the first Prince of Bel-Air. From
Chicago projects, like Will Smith was from Philly. Then I
moved to a middle-income household where my father and stepmother
did fairly well. But I was smelling myself. By the
age of 14, you know, you start thinking you're grown.
And so the first sign of bullying, the first, like
the second day I begged my father not to go
to a private school, got in a public school. Man,
(10:35):
these guys, one guy, I'll never forget, Mike Bowler, big guy,
and a ninth grader like he should be in college.
Him and three or four other guys jumped me in
the bathroom, took my lunch money out of my pocket.
From that minute, I had got my pop's brass knuckles.
And if he wouldn't have stopped me, I was going
to beat somebody from all the pain out of me.
And so from there, I got what all out clicked
(10:55):
and we just started thugging, man. I mean, bro, I
was fighting all the time. I had got into it
with this female. We call them hood chicks and happened
to be her brothers was about their life. They came
in a box Chevy four to five deep with guns
for me to high school. And it was real because
the principal saw them and told me, man, look, I
(11:17):
don't need this at my school. They was coming to
look for you. And so I had a slick mouth,
was ready to fight. And so I'm just saying there
was a lot of fight from there to prison. I
had knives pulled on me. And not because I was
this tough guy. And this is what I find out.
I used to get bullied. From Chicago product, there was
no one-on-one fighting. I used to have to run home
because my grandmother would send me to the store in
(11:39):
the wrong part of the projects. And if you ain't
from there, they will chase you. So I would fight,
but they never fought one-on-one. So that's a form of bullying,
trying to jump you in, fear. And so after that,
like I said, I could have had a better life
in Miami if my mindset was focused on it. But
I was focused on nobody ever put their hands on
me or tried me again. And so fighting became the norm, man.
(12:02):
Even in prison, I took boxing and karate. And I
always wanted to do that. And then God showed me,
like how you said, put down a natural sword. and
pick up the spiritual, God showed me that I call
you for ministry. And all that fighting, I need you
to do it in spiritual warfare and not against my children,
which it's hard to say some of these guys are
his children the way they act. But yeah, man, big
(12:22):
as I am, 6'3, 330 pounds, it was a lot
of fighting. And because I got bullied and I had
a chip on my shoulder and I wanted to hurt people.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
Yeah. But now, now you're a happy warrior.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
And a blessing, man. And, you know, as we was
talking pre-show, I mean, I'm going to tell you right now,
what you said just before we went live, that to me,
I'm going to carry that with me. That means a
lot to me. Just to say that right now, it
may have been like a passing word for you, but
that to me, so if you can remember any of it,
(13:04):
would you reshare some of what you told me just
before we started?
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Well, yeah, we're in a whole new season. So you
got so many parts of my life that's like, that's
why I said my life is really a movie from
the Chicago Project to getting on TV, getting in prison,
writing books, 10 books, changing my life to where I
got a divorce, had to start all over, lost a
child and my son and diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Then
(13:29):
I made my purpose, made my wife now. And while
we're in the middle, brother, of launching a 10-episode TV show,
We're on red carpets. We're moving. And prayer, I heard
God say, I'm about to send you into a wilderness.
And I'm like, why? I'm thinking we're getting ready to
take over the world. And he just basically told me,
you're chasing success. And I call you for ministry. So
(13:52):
from there, man, we started losing a lot, man. Audited
by the IRS. We lost our vehicle twice. We lost
power in our house. Me and my wife walking to
Burger King, smiling, making jokes because What it was doing
was turning up our faith in God. We had to
really see God. Because you know, there's a thing that
(14:14):
your gift will make room for you. You can be
gifted and go through doors and think it's God and
it's not. It's your gift. God gave you a gift
without repentance. So you got a lot of people successful,
but not really the Holy Spirit with them. So this
time we were in surrender mode. I mean, fasting, praying,
where I could really hear his voice because that's the
only way I could stop from suicidally want to take
(14:35):
my life or really wilding out like I was in prison.
So through that, God was just showing me that I
saved you through this. I called you. Then he was
preparing my wife. You can't be the one called and
then the one closest to you is not prepared for
what he was sending us. And then after months in
the wilderness, I heard God at 3 a.m. said, let
me make your name great. And this is after I've
(14:57):
been humbled because I was chasing it. Like the big speakers,
the entrepreneurs, I'm going to be big, I'm going to
be great. And when I heard it, I was like, no.
But I had been reading Abraham where God said he
made his name great. His children like the seashore and
Abraham will be great in the nation. So I was like, wow.
He said, but this is not it. Not for your platform.
(15:19):
I'm making your name great. Let me do it so
that people can hear my voice through you. So God
doesn't care about us being global, but he doesn't want
that to have you. He needs it so that you
can be seen. His story, his testimony, his glory can
be seen through you. So he had to empty this
vessel out. And that's through the threshing. That's through the crushing.
(15:40):
That's through the losing, which ain't the first one. It's biblical.
You got other saints and people, pastors, whatever that went
through it. So while we're in there, brother, God tells
us that he wants us to move to Texas. I
had a brother in Christ that became a pastor from St. Louis.
And we thought we were going to Florida with him.
And then he ended up relocating to Texas, Dallas. And
he's talking to me on the phone. And he says,
(16:01):
so when are y'all moving to Texas? And I said,
you got to be kidding me. I'm not moving to
no Texas. That's 19 hours away from my son in Richmond, Virginia.
That was the hardest thing in my life. Like I said,
my son was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. I'm this guy
that was bullied when he was younger. I'm going to
protect him. Like I'm not leaving my son. It took
me a year. My wife was getting confirmation. I'm like, Lord,
this makes no sense. So that's why I like to
(16:24):
share this. God will not ask you to do nothing easy.
It will stretch you. You will have to pray. You
will have to trust the Lord. And so I'm like,
move to Texas. Like again, it's 19 hours away. We
don't have the funding. It was in the worst time. Why?
Because he's teaching us how to trust him. Job said
at the end of all his trials, I don't know
(16:45):
how people don't miss this. He said, I've heard you
by the ear, but now my eyes see you. Job
had a closer walk with God after all he went through.
And that's what God is doing. He said, I'm drawing
you closer through the ringing and the stretching. We moved
to Texas. We drive all the way up there, packed
all this stuff up in storage. We got this little
bitty Nissan, new Nissan truck. We used to have a
(17:07):
Volkswagen Atlas third row. That was a whole nother feeling
for me being 6'3 in that truck. We get up there.
God didn't have nowhere for us to live. We're in hotels. Hmm.
For eight months, because we did have two months separate
where we stayed with church members. But for eight months,
and it's not like, you know, if you get in
a hotel and you're there for weeks and you can
just know every three days we had to pack up
(17:28):
because we didn't know if the money would come that morning.
Somebody was sold or God would tell me to call somebody.
It was day for day like man up. Do you
understand what it is to sit in a hallway and
have all your stuff packed up on the two carts?
It was the most embarrassing, hardest thing, especially when you're thinking, God,
I created a global toy line. I've been on TV shows.
(17:49):
I've been getting paid $ 2, 000 an hour to speak. It
was starting to happen. I'm selling out at my table, $ 700, $ 800.
I could just go do that again. He wouldn't let
it happen because he said, I'm preparing you for where
I'm sending you. So we get through all of that.
Like I said, almost 10 to 8 months in the hotel.
And then we end up talking to a, we met
a sister in Christ. My wife, we met her at
(18:09):
an event. My wife shared our testimony with us. And
she just became a close sister. And she helped us
get on to one of her friends, the Hilton friends
and family. So we come from these, you know, Super
8 hotels. Sometimes it's good, sometimes not. That Hilton, that
$ 200 turned down to half, $ 50. So that last year,
we was in Hilton. Like, boy, this felt good. Yeah.
(18:32):
So she ended up telling us about a way forward
as a ministry job that she did before. They'll pay
your rent, pay half your rent, whatever. And you go
into the apartment complex just like you do missionary work. Well,
you go out to the country, but they set you
in apartments and you go there and you minister to
the community. You're the word of God. So we heard
it was like, cool, because I've been doing ministry for years.
(18:53):
And brother, we're going back and forth with this. There
was a place they want to send a new Brunsville,
Texas in the middle of Austin and San Antonio. We
went there. It was like, ah, it was like a
C minus because the new management that took over wasn't Christian.
So we're, having a problem back and forth with emails.
They're not answering. And I'm like, God, if this is you,
(19:13):
what's going on? Right. So I'm skipping through some stuff.
So we get, and now this is the key here.
Before we moved to Texas, we had been surveying the
land of South Carolina. We just felt like that's in
the middle of my son, my wife's family would hurt
her son, my son by marriage and our mom, all
of them. We were looking back and forth before he said,
go to Texas. So I'm talking to, we got on
(19:35):
the phone with the recruiter and we was like, man,
Have you ever seen where, because what happens is, Wayford
partners with the owners of the apartment complex, which are Christians.
Christian owners who build the townhomes or whatever, and you
put people in it. So I'm like, if the boss
already met him online, he's ready for us to come.
(19:56):
Why is your management not responding?
Speaker 4 (19:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
Giving us a little bit. See why you're trying to
figure it out. God is already working it out. So
I'm like, all right, God. So we're talking to him
on the phone. I was like, man, have you ever heard?
He said, no. I said, man, I was really looking
at Charlotte because they had Charlotte on there. But he
was like, you know, we already got two candidates and
they only pay half of your rent. The higher it goes,
it was like, oh, we're not in a position to
(20:19):
have to pay more until we get back, you know, financially,
job or business. So he said, you know what? I'm
going to do something I'm not supposed to do because
you already met the owner and everything. He said, we
got another location that just opened up. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
I said, what? First of all, I heard beach. Because
me and my wife are beach bums. I'm from Florida.
We love the beach. Me and her have been traveling.
(20:41):
Everybody knows from Alabama, back and forth to Destin, to
the beach. I forgot the other part. Naples. We're always
going towards the beach. So it was like, all right, cool.
So my wife was like, do they pay half of
the rent or all of it? He said, we pay
the whole thing. We said, oh, okay, God. You know
what I mean? Let's go. Let's go. You know what
(21:02):
I mean? Because before that, Josh, before that, Joshua, we
had been talking to God and we was like, God,
just give us three months to get back on our
feet with no bills because our credit is jacked. We
had destroyed everything surviving. And then my spiritual father prophetically
told me, I see y'all getting six or more months
where y'all don't have to pay no rent. So we're
(21:23):
talking to them and we're talking to the way forward.
They told us about it. It was like, look, we
cover up to two years. I was like, whoa. When
I say God will increase a thing. So then we
were like, man, and it started lining up. And before
we left, man, we were at our church talking to her.
And his sister in the choir was a prophet, too.
(21:46):
She said, I just seen somebody from Facebook Marketplace. Because, brother,
we had lost everything. We couldn't keep up paying the storage.
And then we had somebody break into our storage and
steal stuff. When I say the wilderness was the wilderness,
and if you didn't know the Lord, and for God
I live, for God I die, you would have gave up.
And I was close a couple of times. Marriage was
(22:07):
going through. When God is squeezing you to go global,
or it ain't even got to be global, in your
neighborhood to snatch souls from the enemy, you have to
be prepared. So we lost everything. So she's telling us,
she's getting excited. She said, listen, somebody from Facebook marketplace
is going to just bless y'all. They're going to be
giving stuff away. And she was like, get excited. I'm
(22:27):
telling you. So we go there. And what? We finally move.
Go see our townhome, two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath upstairs. We was like, wow.
From two-bedroom. Four minutes from the beach. I can ride
a bike there. So we get here. And we're like,
all right, Lord. We don't have a lot. Get on
Facebook Marketplace. And we're looking for the blow-up mattresses. And
(22:49):
we find them. Two queens. We go there. It was
just $ 10 each. They were just trying to get rid
of them. And we get there and she was like,
she's again. Cause so what happened was God told me
and my wife to tell the truth. What people do
is when you ask them how they're doing, Oh, I'm
blessed to have the faith. We're modest. Cause we don't
want nobody to know what's struggling or going through. You
don't have to say, Oh, we broke that. No. Well,
(23:10):
you know what? We are under attack right now, but
God is faithful. This is what we're doing. We're holding on.
Cause you, God needs to humble you. And you never
know if your answer is put it to someone that
needs to hear your story. So once my wife told
her what we moved there for, she was like, here,
take the air mattresses. You're doing ministry. That turned into
(23:31):
them giving us a car. That turned into them lining
up with people with furniture. It just started going more
and more. So in the midst of all that, man,
when I say God turned that thing around to where my,
I have to say this, the brother that gave us
the car, he said, Chuck was like, look, don't, every
time something's wrong with it, I'll send the money, call me.
(23:52):
Wouldn't let me fix the car because it's a 2002 Honda.
It runs good. I've rented Alabama. I've been to Richmond
in it. It's a little older. But when I say
it runs good, it's ours. And he won't, anything that
messes up, he just sends me the money. So when
God wants to do it. Now, this is the biggest
thing that I'll let you, before I know you wanted
the story. I felt so much peace today. in the struggle.
(24:16):
Now I'm at the beach, I'm resting. I feel like
an older man. You know how when you're young and
you got, I got to get this. I'm like, man, listen,
get up and put on my shorts, my flip-flop. I don't,
I don't try to impress nobody no more. God gave
me peace. I don't have to be Big Reggie no more.
And then he turned it around and offered me something else.
But I, I want to let you go ahead and
speak on something.
Speaker 3 (24:37):
No, I just, I was just going to say, I
took that to heart because it's just, everything you're talking
about there, because, of growing up with, without much, uh,
we always had a roof over our head. Love, love,
loving family, mom and dad, you know, um, always food
in our bellies, even if it was little, but we
did have, we did have, you know, we had love
(24:59):
in the home and everything.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
Right.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
Um, but you go out and you do it, you just,
you do those worldly things, man.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
And, uh, you know, uh.
Speaker 3 (25:09):
Destruction was kind of a, uh, a thing. And, uh, yeah.
And then, You get older and more mature. God blessed
me with an amazing wife. I'll put it that way.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
Amen. That's good.
Speaker 3 (25:22):
He stuck her in front of me. And here we are,
you know, married 22 years as of this past April 9th.
And I never wanted to, I didn't, I hadn't had
any inkling of changing. You know, I've been to church
all my life. Both grandmas was Pentecostal. Mom and dad
was kind of Baptist. So, You know what I mean?
(25:46):
It was either sit there and holler or sit there
and shut up. Come on now. So I never really
knew how to handle faith truly. But then something happened
during COVID. It just sent me into this spiral of
(26:11):
what do you want me to do? God, you want
me to do something. You gave this woman to me. She's, she's,
she's keeping me from, from trouble. There there's, there's a
few times that she wasn't able to keep me from trouble,
but you know, but that, that, you know, that's part
of becoming more mature, but yeah. But almost five years
(26:31):
ago is like, why don't you start this podcast called faith,
family and politics. So we did that. And then that
started to kind of go somewhere. Uh, like the first
week it was like hundreds of views on, on Facebook.
And we were like, Hmm, this is something we really,
we thought it was gonna be like 12 people, you know?
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
And, uh, and then it, it kind of grew into like, well, let's,
this is doing well. Let's do another show. Let's do
another show. Let's do not, we have 11 shows in total.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
Um, they're not all like up to date because, uh,
because of schedules and things like that. Uh, but, uh,
currently four of them regularly are scheduled. plus this, this
new one, uh, just called hangout. Um, but, um, I
say all that to say this, like, uh, I thought
(27:22):
for sure that we were just going to do that
and it was going to be a passion project and
we were just going to, we were just going to
hang out and it was going to be like this
little thing.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
Right.
Speaker 3 (27:32):
And then I, and I remember I sat, I sat
over there in my studio cause we had, we had those, uh,
there's a, like a full, production studio over there on
the other side of me, uh, where we had this
desks and stuff that we were sitting in. And I said,
if just one soul changes to, to the Lord, if
just one lives, um, because it starts living rightly because
(27:54):
of what we, what we do, I could do this
for 10 years and never make a penny.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
And, and, and I will still want to do it.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
Amen.
Speaker 3 (28:05):
And God said, no, no, no. you can have some money.
It won't be much right now. It's not yet.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
Right.
Speaker 3 (28:12):
Not yet.
Speaker 2 (28:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (28:14):
You can have, you can have some money. You can
have a little bit of this. You can have a
little bit of this, but here's the, here's the big
blessing that came from this. One of my best friends
growing up, uh, he was, he was there since episode
one of faith in politics. So, and, and we, we,
we tell him, dude, you keep hanging out with us Christians.
You're going to get saved. And, um, he had a,
(28:39):
near death incident where his appendix burst. He went septic
and they told him when he got to the hospital,
they said, you got two hours to live. And the
surgery that we need to do takes about two hours.
So when he comes out the other side, he said, okay,
you gave me a second chance. You've been telling me
(29:04):
they're these guys. And so our friend Don, who sees
him in the hospital ahead of the rest of us,
he just happened to have his Bible with him right then.
My good friend Alan, what his name was, he said, Don,
how do I become one of you guys? And he said,
what do you mean? He said, you know, one of you.
(29:25):
That's the best way he knew how to put it.
And he said, ah, okay, I got you. And so
he pulled out his Bible and they start talking about,
and he got saved right there in the hospital. And
one after another, we had an intern's girlfriend in the
middle of a parking lot at a Denny's after a
show one night. We had my younger brother who survived
(29:46):
a stroke and was able to come here and talk
about it and talk about how God just changed his
entire perspective on life. And now he was like, okay,
I need to focus on family. I need to focus
on this, that like perspective.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
Right. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (30:05):
I'm just watching all, I'm just sitting back watching all
this and I'm sitting here telling you, hearing you tell
your story. And I'm like, yeah, yeah. Uh, my good
friend of mine, his, his, his show is called, uh,
the angry conservative or AC for short. Uh, but he, he,
he has this, uh, he says, uh, uh, I believe
it's a scripture too. He says, uh, God doesn't call
(30:26):
the qualified. He qualifies.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
That's right. That's right. That's what he does.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
And so we have a saying around here over at
my network, Revolver Broadcasting, is trial by fire. Because just
like what God does with us, we want to emulate
that as best we can. So like, are you uncomfortable
with something? That's your job. I'm not a people person. Well,
you're going to deal with a whole bunch of people then.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
You know, that is the way the Lord will do it,
to stretch you and pull out your gifts that you
didn't know you had. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (30:59):
And so, you know, that made me think, OK, so
I'm guessing that being a speaker was probably not something
you ever thought was going to be set out in
front of you.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
Well, no, that part wasn't as hard because I love
to talk. I got to get the gap. I got that. Honestly,
me and my dad always joke that we're born two
days apart. We can't out-talk each other. And the funny
part is I've been knowing more about my gift since
I was in high school. I encourage people. I help people.
(31:33):
I was the person that my main people would come
to and share their problems with me. I didn't know
what my gift was, but I was operating it. That's
why I can tell you for sure that gifts come
without repentance. You can be doing things and not even
surrender to Christ. But speaking was not as hard of
a shift. The biggest thing that I'm working on right
now that was hard is creating a global toy line.
(31:54):
You know, I never thought that... And this is Reggie
the Lion and Friends. This is our character right here.
He's a plush dog right now. He speaks positive affirmation
when you squeeze him. And this came from a vision
when I lost my daughter. You know, I'm like, man,
I'm from Chicago Projects, from the streets. I'm not trying
to know what to... And then my testimony is so hardcore...
(32:15):
That I didn't think that what would I do with you?
And he gave me this. So this was something that
was just like, God, what am I doing? You know
what I mean? And then being a person, honestly, that
wrote 10 books, I don't like to read a lot.
I watch a lot of podcasts. I listen to the,
you know, the audio books, but I don't read as
much as they would think I would. So the thing
(32:37):
about it is that God gave me something to say.
He gave me wisdom to write. This is my son,
a prototype of him. This is JB for him, which
is Jeremiah. So these things right here, this is not
nothing I would think of doing. That's why I'm so
serious about letting people know, you have to be led
by the Holy Spirit. It's like when God sent me
and my wife down and told us to sit in
(32:57):
his face and people are like, why I ain't working?
Why y'all ain't trying to do this? Because we believe
what we've read or what we've went through, that's for
this person. You have to know God's voice. I would
have never thought about doing a toy line that now...
And so pivoting into that right quick for... Nine years.
Speaker 3 (33:16):
I want to remind people that Reggie's links are in
the description below. You definitely go to Reginald Foreman.com, but
also go to Reggie, Reggie, the lion as a doc.com
as well.
Speaker 5 (33:26):
Right.
Speaker 2 (33:26):
Yeah. Reggie, the lion.
Speaker 3 (33:29):
Make sure you guys, and the links are in the
description below. You don't even have to type it out.
Just click it.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
That's great. Just click the tab.
Speaker 3 (33:36):
Start, start, start checking it out while you're listening.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
That's good. Thank you, Josh. But, um, Yeah, so God
told me to do Reggie the Lion and telling me
and my wifey how to prepare us. It's the hardest
thing in the world because people are always having an opinion,
which is not bad. But the thing is, if you
don't know God's voice, you won't walk in it. So
for nine years, I thought I was going to be
(34:00):
the next Walt Disney. VeggieTales has been going away. It's
only on Netflix certain places because of what they went through.
And Reggie the Lion is built up. of coloring books.
I mean, like I said, book bags, everything that you
can think of that someone else did. We've been working
on a TV show, everything. So I was like, this
(34:20):
is God's will. You know what I mean? I know
I'm going to do this. And then, okay, what's going
on here? Oh, so these are the coloring learning books.
This is one of my, this one, both of them
are great, but this is the Bible superheroes. I love it.
God woke me up at 4 a.m. And I wrote
this book in two hours. Because when the Holy Spirit
(34:41):
was moving. And I had a pastor buy 100 of
these books at one time. 50 books, 30 books. Because
this was definitely for God. Trying to let our children
know that there's superheroes in the Bible. And there's superpowers. Faith, courage, obedience, love.
That you can obtain these superpowers. And so, we're doing
(35:01):
Reggie Lyon. And I'm like, I'm going to be the
next Walt Disney. And I keep hearing non-profits. And I'm like,
all right, I'll do a leg of charity. I'll do
a nonprofit. But why would I? I don't even like
the name nonprofit. It makes no sense. Because inside of me,
I'm still trying to be successful for what I lost.
I'm still showing these people who turn their back on me.
(35:21):
I'm going to be a multimillionaire. Not doing crime, but
I'm being led by the flesh instead of by the spirit. Man,
I started a nonprofit. Then the next year, 2019, Our
church in Gateway 61 in St. Louis helped us. Everything
was flowing. I backed up again. We got into this
nonprofit program where it was $ 5, 000 to get in. We
had people pay for it. We got in. We started
(35:45):
our Purpose and Pain Foundation. We started it. Got it.
We didn't get the 501c3. Got the website. We were moving.
Shifted again. Because hard times make me think all I
got to do is get one investor. Then I'll do
a non-profit. Still trying to do... See, God needs you
to go through the hard so he can do it,
not the way you think. So, bro, for nine years
(36:05):
until I moved to Myrtle Beach, I get here. One
of my friends, brothers in Christ, we're at his property.
And he was like, man, why don't you get a
partner to fund your non-profit, do a non-profit region line?
And I'm laughing like, oh, God, here we go again.
And then I sat down with my friend Mike down
here in this area of Meals on Wheels, CEO. He
was like, Reggie, God wants you to give the dogs away.
(36:26):
He wants you to bless the children through your non-profit.
I said, God, I got to be obedient. So the
thing about it is I had to sit there and
think you probably have been holding up because everybody was
telling me, Reggie, you can write your own salary up
to $ 100, 000 because of Reggie Lyon, you know, the donation
and everything. I'm like, yeah, I don't want the government
(36:46):
to own it. I just couldn't see it. And God
had to release me and let me know God is
not my partner. I work for God. Reggie Lyon belongs
to whatever he wants to do. And it took me
a while to be obedient till I got here. So
that could have been years of things I held up
from children and for the struggles we were going through.
(37:08):
So I always tell people, man, if I can learn
from my story, bro, if you just would surrender to God,
he'll make things new. He'll give you beauty for ashes.
He'll do abundantly more than you think or ask. But
it'll never be the way you think. And that's the
hardest part with faith. We believe that God is, but
we don't know how to trust him. And so now
(37:30):
we're working on it. And we just, one of my friends,
like I said, if you don't know about Meals on Wheels,
it's a global organization. They got them in different sects.
I met Mike and man, he just unloaded something on
me and asked me to be the director of Georgetown County,
which is huge. And I'm like, okay, God, you've been
preparing me for this. But this is the person that
told me the nonprofit. So down the line, we're connecting.
(37:52):
So it's bigger than me. It's helping people. It's ministry.
It's legacy for my son. But also, it's not about
chasing wealth. But like you said, God said, I'm going
to give you some money. Yeah, he's done that. He's provided.
But it won't be that you're chasing it. And there's
more peace when you chase God. So, man, just to
answer what you said, the speaking one is hard because
(38:15):
I like to talk, get on stage. When I came
out of prison, to be honest, God just told me,
tell your testimony. I didn't have bullet points and all
that as a professional speaker. Amen. I didn't have it all,
you know, structured right, but people would be on the
edge of their seats like, wow, this is a movie.
I obeyed God and then I turned into a speaker,
you know, adding more stuff. And then I became a
(38:35):
certified life coach. I hated school, went to online class
so I could have something behind my name. So all
that became to be building so that I can counsel
and help people live a better life.
Speaker 3 (38:46):
Yeah, it's just so cool, the turnaround. But I was
checking out a little bit of Reggie the Lion. So
I was introduced to it through getting prepared for your interview, honestly.
And watching a little clips and I'm like, this is
what kids need. This is what's missing. Because all these
(39:09):
little cartoons, these kids cartoons, man, the characters are getting
into mischief. They're rotten to their parents, if they even
have parents at all. And I would, I would go
as far as to say, uh, these modern cartoons are
go right into depravity really. Um, but. it's 100% wholesome.
(39:34):
And yeah, I mean, I, I, I found myself smiling
from ear to ear just watching like, yeah, like, uh,
you know, the, the, there's nothing quite like it that
I've seen before that has just, it's just wonderful, man. Uh,
so God, God gave you a really great gift here and,
(39:55):
and I can't wait to see how huge this thing,
I mean, I just know in my heart of hearts
that this is going to be, uh, uh, even bigger than,
than you may have ever even dreamed. I know that,
I know that you're, you're here and there and, and, and,
and lots of places, but I think it's going to
be even bigger. Like it's, I think, uh, you know, uh,
(40:17):
you say when the spirit moves, right, it moves, And
so I think it's what it's saying right now is
this is going to be the springboard that causes other ministries.
Speaker 2 (40:28):
Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
Speaker 3 (40:29):
It's all going to come from this.
Speaker 2 (40:34):
Wow. You know, you're saying something that my spiritual father
told me. He called me after I was going through
one of my friends, Willie Moore Jr. had called. He
was like, I seen these two guys on Instagram. One
was a, they're both fitness people. One is the trainer
that writes it out. One is the one that does
the physical and they, instead of them competing, they partnered together.
(40:55):
And he said, as I was watching it, the Holy
Spirit told me Reggie needs a partner. And that was like, Ooh,
cause I want to leave a hundred percent of my son.
This is my legacy. I want nobody to have none again,
struggling with it. And when I finally prayed and prayed
and I heard the Lord say that partnership leads to
elevated doors, that greater doors will, We'll open through the
right partnership. So I was like, all right. Then my
spiritual father called me. He was like, Reggie, you don't
(41:17):
have to worry about, Reggie, your line is going to
catapult everything else you do. You have people asking you
to turn into a film. You have books. You have speaking.
You have a fashion line. You have so many other
things that Reggie's line is going to open the door to.
So don't worry about that. That's what it's supposed to do.
And so that's what made me come back to my
mind of what you're just saying that it's going to
open more doors. But the main thing about it is
(41:39):
after he took me through this wilderness, it's because the children,
if Reggie the Lion does what he's supposed to do,
and if it is because of God, it's because more
children need to hear it in other countries. They need
to hear Reggie the Lion speak, which I would plan
with the voice box is real low, but I'm smart.
I'm strong. God loves you. Learn how to pray. Kids
need to hear that. And we're very big against sex trafficking.
(42:00):
I believe that our children and our survivors need something
to love, books, toys. So we're trying to partner with
the right people for that. But yeah, if it goes
the way it's supposed to global, it's because God wants
us to reach these children. But first he had to
make sure I doubted myself. Yes. Yes.
Speaker 3 (42:16):
We have to be able to put ourselves down. I'm
going to refer back to my friend AC. He has
this acronym. It's called, he says ego. And it says
it's edging God out.
Speaker 2 (42:27):
Ooh. Yeah, that's what ego is. That's facts. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (42:30):
And so when he hit me with that, I was like, okay, well,
first of all, I'm going to keep that in my pocket,
but I'm also going to give credit where credit is due.
And it's like, man, like how loud does that speak
to us? Especially when we're already naturally can puff ourselves
up pretty easily. And yeah, but that self that I
(42:54):
need this, but I have to have this, but I
have to have this. That will put roadblocks in front
of you faster than anything else.
Speaker 2 (43:01):
Man, yes, it did. It has done that.
Speaker 3 (43:06):
I noticed that when I pray to God about what
we'll have in the future, I say, you know, hey,
I would love to have finances flow to us at
Revolver Broadcasting and over here at Eternal Affairs. But I
don't want it to just flow to us. I want
it to flow through us.
Speaker 2 (43:22):
Yes. Amen.
Speaker 4 (43:23):
Yes, sir.
Speaker 2 (43:24):
That's funny, man.
Speaker 4 (43:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (43:27):
The part that I need to testimony, man, we coming
from hotels and looking for government assistance, food stamps, all that.
We get here and we partner with this. I was
serving at Meals on Wheels, another launching blessing. I was serving,
helping him paint the new building that I didn't know
he was going to offer me to run. But we're
painting the building one day and we met the sister
in Christ, Tiffany, and she's connected to this other church,
(43:50):
her church, and they do a big food pantry. I mean,
the biggest we've ever seen. up-to-date food, meats, vegetables, fruits.
I mean, not that little stuff. And the next thing
we know, brother, she was still like, well, for what
y'all do, I mean, y'all love to come get some food.
We're getting it for ourselves, refrigerated overflow, but there's boxes
of food and what we start having food drive at
(44:10):
our house to the community. So God made a blessing
through us. We're giving our food left and right. I mean,
every once a week, we get stacks of food to
bless the other people. And that's what God reminded me.
He said, I was going to make you a blesser
of my people And that's what I'm doing. But like, again,
you start thinking, well, yeah, I'm going to make all
this money. Not saying that it won't happen, but right now,
(44:32):
can I trust you to do it this way? So
he blessed us, took us from the struggles to where
we can be able to feed other people spiritually and naturally. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (44:41):
It's my friend Sterling who does Morning Word with me,
our Bible study. He says, God gives you three answers. Yes, no,
or not yet.
Speaker 2 (44:50):
That's facts.
Speaker 3 (44:55):
I'm learning about not yet, but I'm okay.
Speaker 2 (45:01):
Yeah. My brother.
Speaker 3 (45:02):
But, uh, you know, that, but like you said, that,
that piece, man, there's that piece about when you, when
you just chase him, um, you know, uh, so, you know,
like I said, doing this five years, but it's only
been the past two that I really truly been chasing
him the way I believe I need to have been
chasing him. Opened it up was the Bible study. When
(45:24):
we started doing morning word, See, you know, the humbling thing,
and I could go into all that, but that'd take
too long. But point is, getting into his word, truly
reading it and understanding, pursuing the wisdom, gaining it, and
using it.
Speaker 2 (45:42):
Yes, sir.
Speaker 3 (45:44):
That's what changes the game for everything. And not sitting
on top of it going and just reading it through
because it– It's alive. It's in black and white and
sometimes red. That's exactly how we should be reading the Bible.
But it will speak. And I recommend for anybody who's
(46:06):
going through a struggle right now, the book of James. Right?
It's so practical. It'll get you. Talk about springboards. It'll
get you in on the ground floor with what God
wants for our lives. And how to just behave for him.
Speaker 2 (46:26):
Yes, sir.
Speaker 3 (46:27):
And, you know, no matter if you're in the projects
or in his power, guess what? He's still going to
hand you more than you can handle. I know what
you've heard your entire life is that you can.
Speaker 2 (46:39):
I won't give you more.
Speaker 3 (46:42):
That's below me.
Speaker 2 (46:43):
That's good. You know what? You just, I'm telling you,
you just light bulb. You know, I'm used to saying it,
which is in truth, but it's going to give you
more to handle because you have to trust him.
Speaker 3 (46:55):
That's right. Yes.
Speaker 2 (46:56):
All right, Joshua. I'm going to be saying it that
way from now on. I know you've been hearing it
like this, but God is definitely going to give you
more than you can handle because it should break you
and draw you closer. Come on, Joshua. You just dropped
something there. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (47:10):
And that was that's that's all. Glory to God, Manny.
You know. we, we engage with our live chat a lot.
And then so that would just, that formed through, through
the big man upstairs. But yeah, it's, it's, it's true. And,
and so whenever you're going, this is too much, Lord,
(47:30):
I thought, I thought that, well, that's because you've been
raised in tradition.
Speaker 2 (47:36):
Wow. Right.
Speaker 3 (47:37):
We've got to break ourselves a tradition because tradition doesn't,
Look at how it worked out for the Sadducees and
Pharisees when they lived in tradition.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
That's facts.
Speaker 3 (47:48):
Not so great. So you have to break yourselves of
tradition and cruelly follow him. It's like this man next
to me submitted. He had to go through it. Submit it.
Lay out prostrate if you have to. Lay out flat
on your stomach.
Speaker 2 (48:03):
Yes, sir.
Speaker 4 (48:04):
Honest.
Speaker 2 (48:04):
Yes, sir. Man, I've had to do it so many times.
Speaker 3 (48:09):
You talk about, you talk about your, your having to
be honest with the Lord. I'm reminded of King David, um,
because he had to be, he had to be honest, uh,
with the Lord. That's why he was a man after
God's own heart. It's not because of, uh, necessarily of
his repentance. Certainly that's a good, good picture of repentance,
but this, this guy, he's, he's the same one that said,
(48:30):
my God, my God, why have you forsaken me? But
he also says in Psalm 23, the Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want. This is the same guy, right?
If this is the same guy, then when we're going
back and forth between those two people that are definitely
(48:50):
in here, it's okay to be honest with God. He
wants us to hear everything.
Speaker 2 (48:55):
Man, I am very, if you get a chance to
watch my CBN documentary, I was honest with God. I
was cursing God out. I was like, whether F, Where
were you when my mother was beating me? Where were
you when I was hungry? Where was you when I
was running home from school and through from the store?
I really was like, God, this is hard. And that's
when God said to me, bro, he said, are you
(49:17):
done yet? I have a purpose for it all. that's
when I heard the heaviness in that cell and that's
what my speaking platform is there's purpose in your pain
because God told me I have a purpose for it
all so yeah I always tell people listen man God
can handle me I was cursing at God I didn't
know no religion I only knew truth and pain and
that's when God said I got a purpose for it
so yeah definitely being honest is what he can handle.
Speaker 3 (49:40):
Yeah, I mean, and that's exactly why David was a
man after God's own heart, that honesty. You know, he
did some, I'm going to be very light about it.
He did some questionable things at best.
Speaker 2 (49:55):
Yes, David did. Yes, sir.
Speaker 3 (49:58):
But he always went to God and said, God, I
did this. Ultimately, and we have to remind ourselves to
be like that. And God will bless you.
Speaker 2 (50:08):
He really will.
Speaker 3 (50:09):
And it'll give you peace.
Speaker 2 (50:10):
Oh, man. That's the... Enter into my rest. Enter into
my peace. That's the biggest thing. We got multi-millionaires committing suicide.
It's not about the money. It's about the peace that
you can have of what you can handle that God
prepared you for. So, yeah. That is the biggest thing.
And I always ask God, I want to be able
to have peace. Man, when I first got saved, I
(50:31):
was having dreams that I was fighting people all in McDonald's,
having shootouts. It was... There's a lot of angers telling
me and violence. So I know what it is to
not have rest and peace. So I always tell people, man,
I just want to have peace. I need money, but
I don't need it to where it don't bring peace. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (50:48):
Because at the end of the day, to sound cliche
and millennial, but money is just a tool.
Speaker 2 (50:57):
Yeah, correct.
Speaker 3 (50:58):
Money is just a tool and it really doesn't matter.
And you talk about legacy, you know, The Bible says
a good man leaves an inheritance to his children and
his children's children.
Speaker 4 (51:08):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (51:09):
Children's children. Yes, sir.
Speaker 3 (51:10):
Legacy is the word. It's not it's not about necessarily finances.
We don't all have that. But we can all impart
to them something like Reggie the lion where we can
go through and say, hey, here's some values.
Speaker 2 (51:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (51:26):
Children are arrows. Here's some values. And we're going to
we're going to raise you up in the way you
should go. And show you this wonderful, wholesome cartoon that's
going to show you that life isn't meant to be
lived looking at it through all those horrifying prisms that
the news will tell you that we're living in.
Speaker 2 (51:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (51:50):
Because something that was said by my friend Sterling's daughter,
she's just about to be 13, I believe. But she said,
the storm is beautiful when you have Jesus.
Speaker 2 (52:01):
Wow. That's good.
Speaker 3 (52:03):
A t-shirt immediately.
Speaker 2 (52:06):
That is true. That's a good t-shirt.
Speaker 3 (52:09):
Yeah, and it's fantastic. We got two of them here
at the house. But yeah, it couldn't be more true.
As you're going through the storm, no matter what's coming
your way, as you know, being humbled by God, now
when something comes, people go, well, aren't you dealing with this? Yeah,
but I got Jesus.
Speaker 2 (52:29):
Facts.
Speaker 3 (52:33):
But isn't this difficult? Yeah, but I got Jesus.
Speaker 2 (52:39):
And mean it from the heart. And that's the biggest
thing I had to learn through the storms. As I
always find out, God, what are you trying to show me?
He's never allowing you to just be pummeled or struggle
without him teaching you something. So it's always when I
do counsel people, coach people or minister, whatever it is
he has me doing. What are you learning? I had
to always, me and my wife, we talk, we have
(53:00):
our conversation. What do we learn from that season? Because
that is the next thing for the next elevation is
what he's teaching you. And then now you help other
people to learn and become ambassadors.
Speaker 3 (53:12):
Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (53:14):
Question. Yes, sir.
Speaker 3 (53:17):
I do have both your websites in front of me,
but Reggie the Lion talked about being able to empower
these children with the plush toys. What would be the route, like,
you know, youth ministries and things like that are probably
listening right now, or just parents in general, or maybe
aunts and uncles, whatever. But how would they go through
(53:40):
to not only watch Reggie the Lion in its entirety,
but also maybe get into this program for the plush
toys and.
Speaker 2 (53:49):
Things of the sort? Yeah, so we have the first—
10 episodes was on TV, on Spectrum TV, and now
we have a YouTube channel. So, um, Reggie the, at
Reggie the Lion and Friends YouTube page, at Reggie the
Lion and Friends, you can see all 10 episodes. Um,
and then the plush dolls are still in a prototype
because like I said, uh, for years I was so disobedient,
(54:11):
but we know we have a lot of other programs
that said if you had a 501c3, 501c3, we would
give to it. So as I complete that, we know
that it's going to be having the dolls ready. Um, But, man,
follow me on the social media platform to keep up
with me. It's Reginald Foreman Godmade. And Reginald has an
email if you have any questions. Or on any one
of my websites, there's an email that you can reach out.
(54:34):
And definitely, we have all the coloring books there ready.
We've been sending them out left and right. We have t-shirts.
We have apparel. And like you said, I do speak
and travel. When I do do the books, I read
the books in class and I talk to the kids.
And it's so dope to see them. One of the
main sentences that Reggie Lyon says is, prayer is powerful.
(54:54):
And so when he says that, I got one of
the clips of these young pre-K kids yelling, prayer is powerful.
So it's so dope. So yeah, man, we're trying to
get Reggie Lyon to these kids. But again, sometimes I feel, Reggie,
what if you would obey? You'd have been out there.
So I had to let that go and know that
what I love about this, and I'll say this before
we get off. You can never be too late for
(55:16):
God's time. You can never be too late for his
timing because the same thing that was told me for
the cities is now I'm Myrtle Beach and I'm obeying
other people partnering with me. And I'm like, all right, God,
thank you for having mercy because he still needs to
get it out. And it's not about me. I was
the one rushing. I was the one needed the money.
I was the one wanted to show the people, look
(55:36):
who you turned your back on. And God is like,
they did the same thing to Jesus, my son. So
I'm preparing you to be ready. So yeah, man, register
the line. I believe it was a great thing, especially
because it's, Really God divine. I have to give for
art drawing and stuff a little bit, but this is
beyond me. And I know it's God.
Speaker 3 (55:54):
Yeah. And I know that God puts everything out for
a reason. And I think that not only with Eternal Affairs,
but I think Revolver Broadcasting may have a future partnership
with you as well. I just feel it in my bones.
I just maybe want to mention that right quick. I
(56:15):
know you're a busy guy, so I know you've got
to go very, very shortly. So if you were to
tell anybody outside of just telling them to go to
your websites, of course, and we've given quite a bit
of life advice up to this point, but from all
the things you've been through and where you're going, what
would be the biggest thing you'd want to tell the
(56:37):
young people or people in general watching and listening right now,
their life advice, so they can take that with them
and move forward?
Speaker 2 (56:45):
Man, that's a good one, man. And I have something
I always say. I think I'm just going to say
this part that I do always say. I always tell people,
do not panic. A lot of times when we're going through,
we throw, like they say, you throw the baby in
the bathwater out. We believe that God has left us,
that God is not there. If you panic, you can't
hear him. If you've ever been in a rush to
leave your house and you're looking for your keys, they
(57:07):
could be right there on the couch or right there
on the table. But because of your panic and your worry,
you don't see it. God will not leave you. he
may not come at the time that you need to
hear him because he knows the right time. But do
not panic and do not fear. I give you this illustration.
Let's say a couple of feet in front of you
(57:27):
is a door. And in front of that door, behind
that door is whether you need healing, you need a spouse,
you've been waiting to get married, you need money, you
need anything. But when you approach that door to get
your blessing, there's a big Rottweiler, German Shepherd, whatever dog
you're fearful of standing there. And you're like, I'm sick.
I need this healing. So you're like, this dog will
(57:47):
have to kill me. But as you get close, you
find out the dog has no teeth. And you're like,
I was fearing, man, that dog can't do. Because fear
will make you, you will start panicking. You don't see
that what you see hiding. This is what I'm saying.
So do not be so scared that you can't see God.
You're allowing the situation to be bigger than who got it.
(58:08):
So I always tell people, don't panic. You have to
get calm. pray and trust and know, Oh, he's coming.
So that's my advice.
Speaker 3 (58:17):
Amen to that. Amen to that. All right. Well, I'm
going to, I'm going to tell everybody as I always
do on, on every program that I'm ever on. And well, even,
even when we're face to face, if folks don't already know,
I tell people to stay in trouble and people go,
you just talked about Jesus and all this other stuff.
What are you talking about? Stay in trouble. And the
reason I say stay in trouble is because if you
(58:38):
have Christ in your hearts, you will in fact be
in trouble with the world. The world doesn't want you
living under his grace. That's your salvation first and foremost.
And I pray that each and every one of you
has that. It doesn't want you reading his word, praying
to him, having a relationship with him. And it definitely
doesn't want you going out and doing something so dangerous
as telling others about him. But I want to encourage
(59:00):
you to do all that anyway. Stay in trouble.
Speaker 2 (59:05):
100%.
Speaker 3 (59:06):
And I want to send out love to you guys.
And thank you once again, Mr.
Speaker 2 (59:09):
Reggie.
Speaker 3 (59:10):
Foreman uh you've been a fantastic guest man and uh
for those uh those who are on rumble we're gonna
get you rated out to my good friend ac who
happens to be live right now and uh yeah we'll
see you guys on the next one keep them notification
bells turned on we'll see you yeah we'll see you
next time.
