Depuis quelques mois, la cause autochtone semble avoir un écho nouveau tant au Québec que dans le Canada. C'est notamment la conséquences de l'abnégation et de l'engagement de personnalités engagées de longues dates. Parmi elles, Michèle Audette, qui aujourd'hui porte sa voix... au Sénat du Canada !

Longtemps tue dans ce que la sinistre et bien mal nommée "Loi sur les indiens" a appelé des "réserves", la voix des Premières Nations trouve aujourd'hui un nouvel écho.
En quelques mois, des personnalités autochtones se sont vu confier des postes aussi prestigieux que Gouverneure générale, ministre de l'Emploi du Québec, présentateur du journal de midi sur TVA ou... Sénatrice du Canada. Ce poste au sein du sein du pouvoir canadien c'est à Michèle Audette que Justin Trudeau l'a confié. Cette militante engagée a passé sa vie à défendre la condition des femmes autochtones. En 2020 le drame de Joyce Echaquan donnera à son combat une résonnance toute particulière.
Son histoire, son présent et (je le crois) son avenir, en font un témoin de choix sur la condition autochtone au Québec.
