Episode 189 - Testimony Series: A Divine Umbrella - With Alexandra Boylan

This episode is a part of our December testimony Series. Alexandra Boylan, a multi-talented filmmaker, shares an incredible God story from the set of her movie, The Greatest Inheritance, filmed in Columbus, Georgia, in July 2020. Despite facing severe weather disruptions, including thunderstorms and lightning that led to multiple shutdowns, Alexandra and her team experienced a divine intervention. With the help of prayer warriors, they managed to shoot a crucial scene just before a downpour began. Miraculously, the rain stayed away from their location while pouring all around them, allowing them to complete filming just before their lead actor had to leave. This story highlights the power of faith and prayer in overcoming challenges on set.

Alexandra (00:00):
Hello FAFF Association.
My name is Alexandra Boylan and I'm so excited to sharethis incredible God story moment from one of my sets.
I'm a writer, producer, actor, director, kind of do everything.
And, um, one of my incredible miracle stories is from my movie, theGreatest Inheritance that we shot down in Columbus, Georgia in July of 2020.

(00:25):
And, uh, we not only is it super hot in Georgia in the summer.
We also had massive rain, um, thunder and lightning storms and rainstorms.
And we had our lead actor Jaleel White for five days offilming and we kept getting thunder and lightning storms.
And anytime there's a lightning strike within a certain miledistance from your set, it's an automatic 30 minute shutdown.

(00:52):
And we kept getting shut down every time we were about to dothis scene, uh, it was raining or something, there was a problem.
So we were on the very last day of filming that.
We were trying to get this last scene in where the kids find the inheritance and they bringit to Jaleel White and Jaleel White reads the letter from the mom who has passed away.

(01:14):
And it's this beautiful message of how the only thing we inherit on earth is the kingdom of heaven.
And about.
All about Jesus and the Bible and our inheritance, our true inheritance.
So we were having so many issues because of lightning and thunder and rain, and it was our last day of filming and we ended up calling in like all of our prayer warriors from all over the place asking for prayer for our set that.

(01:39):
Uh, the rain would be held so that we could get this last scenewith Jaleel White before he was getting on an airplane and leaving.
Um, and so we start, we set up for the scene, we start shooting the scene, and, uh, we keepgetting notices from our crew that it's, that it's raining over there and there's lightning coming, and we're praying and praying and, uh, we're able to finish the scene the second we yelled.

(02:05):
Cut.
The rain poured down on us.
We all ran inside of the house and the woman who owned thehouse came up to me and she said, I wanna show you this.
All of my neighbors have been calling me to tell me that theycan see that it is not raining on my property, but it is raining.
Everywhere else around the neighborhood and she showed me a circle on the map andjust her property was protected from rain and there was rain everywhere else, and God had held the rain where we were able to get our scene, finish it and complete it.

(02:41):
Before Jaleel White had to get on an airplane and lane and leave.
So that is our incredible miracle God story.
Every film, every film I've ever made has multiple stories like that.
And um, you know, I don't know how people make movies and all the stress of it without knowingthat there is a Creator of the universe who loves us and has our back while we're making movies.
