Solo gaming has gained traction and folks are moving away from the mechanics. While this may be the future of some gamers, most of us agree that this is not the same thing as gaming at a table with folks. This seems more like a Choose Your Own Adventure or a rpg video game to most of us. This is a way of the story telling aspect of ttrpgs. Virtual tabletops are rising to prominence as well as AI assistance for players as well. But, click, clack math rocks make brain go brrrrrr. While these tools are cool, it loses the social aspect.
