"Songs of Christmas" Sermon Series - When you stop and think about the Christmas story in scripture, the angels played specific roles that brought the message of Christ's birth to the people. First, the angel Gabriel spoke to Zechariah. Then, he visited Mary. Finally, the angels opened up the sky and proclaimed as "heralds" the good news of Jesus' birth. A herald is one who "proclaims" news. This week we find ourselves in the middle of Christmas narrative when the angels give the Shepherds and the world the news they had always waited for!
