Have you ever thought about how you learned to love? Or what it means to be in a loving relationship? How do you know if you're doing it right? How should it feel? And what does love look like?

A lot of what we've learned about love and relationships is established early on, by our parents, or those who took care of us as a child. Those relationships modeled what love "should" look like. But what if what it looked like was toxic? Broken? Complicated? Estranged? What if the adults in your life said that they loved one another but filled the home with hate? How did you make sense of that? How has their expression of "love" shaped your adult relationships today?

This week on Fix Your Relationships, I want to have a serious conversation with those of you who feel like your parents set you up for relationship failure. If the way in which you've been going about relationships is eerily similar to the dysfunction you grew up with, today's episode will encourage you to forget what you learned from your parents and embrace a new way of thinking. Today's message is intended to completely shift how you experience every relationship you have from this point forward.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
