Welcome to FLY, First Love Yourself. First episode of this podcast series. I'm Suria Sparks, your host for this movement on helping every soul love themself despite all the flaws, despite all that is not working, despite all the ups and downs, despite all the messiness in our live, the breakdowns, the breakthroughs, the mess, the message.
Everything that feels yucky and shitty and messy and complete unworthiness in our life and turning all of that into something beautiful, turning all the mess into a message, the breakdown into breakthroughs, the flaws into awesomeness and call it flawsome, and turning around our life by embracing the light in us and also the shadows in us, every aspect of our human soul and every side of ourself. To truly love oneself means to truly embrace every single part of ourself when life is working and when life is not working, when it's upside down, when it's topsy-turvy, when it's messy, when it's good, when it's great, when it's not, when it's everything there is.
It's about loving everything that we are, everything of our past, everything that we have done wrong, everything that we have not been perfect enough, everything that we have been comparing ourself to, everything that we think we are not enough yet.
It is about embracing every single side, every single dark side, every single moment of our life when we feel we are at the rock bottom of the bottom of the bottom, when life doesn't seem to work for us, when we think that there is no more tomorrow, when everything is just so dark, and when there is not even a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel and the tunnel seems to be endlessly bleak, and times when life is also sunny like a rainbow and happy and joyful, and then the storm strikes again and that gets topsy turvy again. That is how life is. It's about loving every aspect of that. Yeah. Welcome again to this FLY program. It's a real and raw program about truly loving yourself.
This episode being the first one is all about introducing to you what this FLY concept is all about and why I'm bringing this concept to the world. As the introduction says it, it's all about embracing every facet of our life, that light and that shadow, is not all about positivity all the time, it's not about just being high all the time in life and being like go, go, go, yes, yes, yes, life is all beautiful and perfect, and that it's all going to be rosy all the time. It's about also acknowledging that there are days in our life that we just don't want to get out of bed and there are days that everything just seems so down and the emotions is just swinging on a spiral downwards.
It's truly about being okay not being okay. It's about saying to ourself like, "Hey, I'm human and this is one side of me. I want to acknowledge that. It's okay for me not to feel okay. It's okay for me to feel down. I embrace that as part of me. I'm just going to sit in that feeling and be okay about it and learn how to feel, how to deal, and then how to heal, and eventually how to let go." Manage my emotions rather than get through it, but no, get over. Rather than get over, get over it. No, we don't get over things. In FLY, we get true things. That means we get through that sticky messy space in our life and then guess what? We are still here breathing and standing tall.
