Ana de León, periodista majorera, corresponsal de la Agencia EFE en Panamá, relata su experiencia de seis años cubriendo la actualidad de la región, y las implicaciones que tiene hacerlo en una palataforma de ese calibre: "Las cosas son", y su labor es contarlo.
Licenciada en Periodismo por la Universidad Complutense, se especializó en información internacional y de agencias a través del máster de EFE. Hoy, desde su redacción, dan cobertura informativa a Centroamérica y el Caribe.
Llegó a Panamá en 2019 como becaria y, tras completar su etapa de prácticas, se incorporó a la plantilla de la agencia, donde acumula más de seis años de experiencia. Desde allí ha cubierto procesos políticos, migración, derechos humanos y relaciones internacionales, con especial atención a la ruta del Darién y a las dinámicas regionales de Centroamérica y el Caribe.
En su entrevista con Fuerteventura Digital, hace una defensa su labor como periodista de agencia, basada en conceptos como rigor, verificación y uso preciso del lenguaje, separando claramente información, valoración y opinión. Como corresponsal en Centroamérica, Ana repasa su experiencia vital y profesional en un mundo totalmente distinto al que nació y donde se formó, aunque también con interesantes paralelismos, dada la histórica relación entre Canarias y América.
