GeekCypha 465 No Physical GTA VI? Steam Machine Pricing! & A Questionable Supergirl Movie Cup

Description: Don't forget to check out our event GeekCypha Annual Block Party! at COLOURS Barbershop in Montreal Saturday June 27th at 3pm.
This week on GeekCypha, the crew tackles major shifts across gaming and entertainment, starting with Genndy Tartakovsky’s newly announced Conan the Barbarian series and the wild trailer drop for the Rick & Morty spin-off President Curtis, locked in for a July 26th premiere. The conversation gets heavy with the revelation that Grand Theft Auto VI will cost $79.99 with no physical disc option, a move that could lead other AAA publishers to kill off physical media. While this all-digital reality makes Valve's Steam Machine look like the perfect, no-nonsense future where games just work straight on a computer, the base 512GB model's $1,050 price tag proves that a frictionless gaming future is going to cost serious cash. Finally, the squad breaks down a leaked Avengers: Doomsday scene, hypes up the July 31st return of Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2, and shares Brian’s spoiler-free review of Masters of the Universe.
