What happens when the dead seem to find a way to answer back?

On this episode of Generation X Paranormal, Logan and Nicole sit down with paranormal investigator, researcher, author, and founder of Elk Valley Paranormal, Cyn Shrader Hill, for an unforgettable conversation about Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVPs), haunted locations, paranormal investigation, spirits, and signs from beyond.

Cyn has spent years investigating paranormal activity and documenting EVPs, and she shares some of her most compelling experiences—including a deeply personal EVP connected to her nephew Wyatt. During the conversation, Cyn plays the recording and explains why she believes it was a personal message from someone she loved.

We talk about what makes an EVP convincing, why investigators have to be careful about hearing what they expect to hear, and why some of the most compelling evidence can come from surprisingly simple recording equipment. Cyn also explains why your own senses may be one of the most important tools you have during a paranormal investigation.

Cyn takes us inside some of her most memorable investigations, including an old hospital in Tennessee that she describes as one of the most haunted places she has ever encountered. She discusses unexplained activity, a mysterious "true orb," and something else moving through the location that investigators captured on video.

We also explore:

• The difference between compelling EVPs and questionable recordings
• Paranormal investigation equipment and digital recorders
• Why cell phones can sometimes capture extraordinary evidence
• Spirits that communicate, joke, become irritated, or simply want investigators to leave
• Paranormal experiences involving family members after death
• Faith, grief, and the possibility of communication after death
• Cyn's journey from paranormal investigator to author
• Her books and years of paranormal research
• Why investigators should move beyond the standard questions during an investigation
• Some of the most unusual experiences Cyn has encountered throughout her career

This is a conversation about evidence, experiences, grief, curiosity, and the possibility that death may not be the end of communication.

Listen closely. Some of the most compelling moments in this episode aren't stories about paranormal activity—they're the moments when the unexplained seems to answer back.

(00:00):
Can tell when the energy shifts and you know you feel somebody next to you or somethinglike that.
Somebody was with me and I I didn't know who or what.
And I just said, I know somebody's here with me.
I'm just taking pictures, follow me.
Let's go into the next room.
And I said that about three times.

(00:20):
And it was right before we buckled down and actually started the investigation at thisresidence.
When I got home
The E V P after I said it about the third time it was this grumpy little old man and hesaid, I got better things to do than to follow you around all night.

(01:26):
Well, everybody, welcome back.
I'm Logan and this is Generation X Paranormal.
Guys, it is man, it's getting close to spooky season.
Mm-hmm.
And I right around the corner too.
And you know, whenever that happens, we all sort of that are in this paranormal world,it's sort of like our Super Bowl.
I know you're not a sports fan like that, but it's like our it's like our thing, you know, and then we all go out investigating and and you know, we become creatures of the night.

(01:54):
We do do the hall year.
But we happen to have somebody on that uh that will probably do the same thing come spookyseason and I'm sure she does it all the time, but um we have uh Sin Trader Hill on.
And what what can you tell us about Sin?
So Sen is a native of Fayetteville, Lincoln County, Tennessee, and she's a paranormalinvestigator and researcher who enjoys working with audio to uncover electronic voice

(02:16):
phenomena.
She founded Elk Valley Paranormal that serves the southern middle Tennessee and NorthernAlabama region.
She is a storyteller who enjoys speaking about hauntings, signs from beyond, and EVPs.
She is a self-published author of seven books available on Amazon in paperback, Kindle, and Audible versions, and has edited many more.

(02:37):
In conjunction with Mark Elliot Foltz, Sin publishes their work under Foltz Hill Press.
She is currently working on eight and nine and a series of ten.
That's amazing.
Mm-hmm.
That's such a great uh great amount of books.
But yeah, I I can't wait to talk to her.
Yeah.
Let's do it.
Well, hey Sin, welcome to Generation X Paranormal.

(02:57):
Thank you so much for having me.
I've been looking forward to this.
It's been a long time coming and I'm here finally.
eh
it.
Yeah, no, it's great.
Yeah, I mean for
There's a a few reschedules in there, but we finally all got on the same page.
Now we're here.
Yeah, and as our our listeners will know or uh people who've been around us, we had a heckof a time a cute few weeks ago with our HVAC.

(03:22):
So Sin was supposed to be with us that week and
The s the interview sacrifice that we
Which is probably a good thing because we would have been melting and not any fun to talkto.
Yeah.
Um, so right, we're very cool and very happy to have you.
And what a tort terrible time for something like that.
my gosh, it was awful.

(03:42):
It was I think the the one of the biggest heat waves we've had in what decades orsomething like that.
It was awful.
But you know, everybody else was too.
Yes.
I mean the whole the whole area.
Where are you guys?
we're right we're right now we're in Missouri.
Southern Missouri.
Southern Missouri, yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
So you get it, yep.

(04:03):
About the same, roughly.
Yeah.
Um, but yeah, it was it was a tough call, but but you're here now.
So we're excited.
Um we're gonna get a lot more in depth obviously kind of what you've done and some thingsthat uh that I definitely want to talk to you about.
But for those of us or those I should say in our audience that don't necessarily know whoyou are, do you mind kind of just telling them a little bit about yourself?

(04:28):
Sure.
Sin Schrader Hill, I'm paranormal investigator, founder of Elk Valley Paranormal here inMiddle Tennessee, Southern Middle Tennessee.
We take care of northern Alabama as well.
I got started late, 2013 is when I started investigating.
And I formed Elk Valley the next year after I got trained on what to do.

(04:55):
I wrote my first book.
twenty eighteen and I'm now up to nine.
I'm working on ten and eleven while I'm editing my friends book right now.
And they're all self published.
So when you pull up my name on Amazon, Sin Schrader Hill, you'll pull up Mark ElliottFultz, Eric Freeman Sims, and anybody else that I'm editing.

(05:16):
And that that helps all of us too.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
that's awesome.
No, that's that's really a lot of fun because some of the questions I definitely want toask you revolve around uh publishing, but or at least your books anyway.
But kind of I guess kicking things off, you know, obviously you've written sounds likeclose to 10 now um books, and and I know you've covered a lot of different aspects of the

(05:41):
paranormal.
What I guess what made you want to become an author in addition to being an investigator?
I I kind of fell into it.
Um, I was editing first for my buddy and he's the one that does all the covers and theillustrations for my book.
So I edit for him and then he turns around and does all the covers and the illustrationsfor me.

(06:06):
We just balance it out that way instead of changing cash.
It just helps both of us.
So um I was working on
His he's got a trilogy, Chattanooga Chills.
And I was working on his second and probably starting on his third.
And he said, Okay, when are you gonna write yours?

(06:30):
I had I'd not even mentioned the fact that I was possibly thinking about it.
He's a psychic.
I should have known.
Yeah.
um
we were best friends, so I I should have known.
And I just said, I don't think I'm ready and he said, It's time.
Get it out there.
And so he gave me that little extra kick in twenty eighteen and I got it out there.

(06:54):
That's awesome.
Yeah.
Yeah, I would imagine um just breaking down the time constraint and then, you know, goingthrough I've I've tried a few times and kind of try to write stuff down and I I'm pretty
terrible at staying uh disciplined for it.
But but yeah, it really kinda it draws so many different things.

(07:14):
It that, you know, obviously knowing how to be a storyteller, but even just knowing likeuh what a reader may even care about.
I mean all those different things that
that come into play.
I find that really fascinating.
But and it kind of leads to when you sit down to write a book, um, i I guess basicallyabout the paranormal, do you approach it differently than you would like investigating?

(07:37):
Not really, because I take a lot of my investigations and they become stories.
So I I'm kind of picky on in my investigations.
I know when this E V P happened, when this one happened.
So when I write my stories, it just kind of falls chronologically and just kind of fallstogether.

(07:59):
Um I don't know.
I've always been a little anal like that.
I
Okay.
Type A and little O C D and everything else on top of it.
And I I guess it works being an author.
I'm the same, so I I get ya.
It's hard to get out of.
It is, it is, yes.

(08:20):
Yeah, I don't think I'm I'm super super organized, but there are things that I am ultraorganized about.
So they're I they're like the whole gamut of what I do is probably doesn't look veryorganized, but there are subsects in my life that have to be completely organized or I
will lose my frickin' mind.
Yeah, technology.

(08:40):
Um, you know, they're just being p prior military, there's a lot of that that's just kindof built in and I can't I can't kick it, but that's okay.
It's programmed in you.
Yeah.
is programmed in me.
Yes.
So of all your books, um, which one would you say was probably the most I guess the mostdifficult for you to write and why?

(09:04):
The one that was supposed to be the first one, it ended up being the third one.
'Cause I couldn't figure out how to get it across.
Now so I finally just pulled out twenty twenty three short stories.
And by the way, that's all I can write short stories because my attention span is likeboom boom boom boom boom squirrel and then I'm on to something else.

(09:27):
So I've
I multitask all the time.
That's why I've got two books going plus editing another one.
I can't focus on one thing.
I've got to have other stuff going.
But this third book is They're Speaking, Are You Listening?
My most compelling EVPs.
So it was it was the um investigations that were my favorite ones and those EVPs that camewith it.

(09:53):
And my very favorite EVP was at this
residence and I I I've only seen just a very few spirits.
A handful.
That's it.
Lots of shadows.
But, you know, when it comes to really seeing a spirit, just a handful.
so, but I can tell when the energy shifts and, you know, you feel somebody next to you orsomething like that.

(10:21):
Somebody was with me and I I didn't know who or what.
And I just said, I know somebody's here with me.
I'm just taking pictures.
Follow me.
Let's go into the next room.
And I said that about three times.
And it was right before we buckled down and actually started the investigation at thisresidence.

(10:41):
When I got home, the EVP, after I said it about the third time, it was this grumpy littleold man.
And he said, I got better things to do than to follow you around all night.
Wow.
That's awesome.
Long drawn out.
And he was serious.
He was he was over me.
Yeah.
That's a long E V P it is very long.

(11:03):
Wow.
And you could hear his accent in the Yeah.
Those those are the best ones when you can hear the accent 'cause that means it's reallyclear.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's really cool.
Yeah, and that's and definitely I'm gonna talk more about EVPs here in a bit because Ithat I think that's one of my I wouldn't say I have a favorite, but it's definitely the

(11:24):
one that I seem to dig into a lot because you know, if you get a picture and you seesomething or or you know, whatever have you, you just have that one moment.
But it seems like an EVP is a lot more personal.
It's a lot more I don't know, it it feels like
Straight from the source.
straight from the source.
So yeah, I absolutely.
But uh is that the book you're most proud of?

(11:49):
proud of all of them, but that probably is the one.
It just it took so long to figure it out.
And what I finally did was take that because I wanted people to be able to experiencethem, not just read about them, but listen to them.
So on my website, elkvalleyparanormal dot com, there's a drop down menu in the evidencesection.

(12:13):
And there's a I think it says old hospital.
And the second one is they're speaking.
So you can hit that and go back and listen to all the ones in that book.
Oh, that's cool.
I'm gonna do that.
Definitely.
That sounds awesome.
And you know, some, like the very first one that's mentioned was my very first one I got.

(12:34):
And it was that that really whispery, um
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, so
We are familiar with them.
Yes.
That was my first one.
And some of 'em, like the little grumpy man, they're they're harder to understandsometimes.
So your listeners might want to have headphones or um hang your butts in and listen to ittwo or three times and you'll hear a pattern and you'll be able to set it with the words.

(13:04):
Yeah.
Yeah.
And you know, when it comes like to E V Ps, uh, you know, in the beginning you alwayskinda think, Well, like you think it's saying this and I've always found that, you know,
in the beginning it was you you've kind of fallen into some of the same traps, but youknow, and then we're working with some people like Chris who's like it make sure that the
fill syllables fit.

(13:25):
If they don't, then that at that point.
So yeah, it's
And and trust me, I'm gonna go much more in depth with E V Ps with you 'cause I love thatstuff.
Well
And you know, that book was written ah twenty nineteen, I believe.
And going back, a couple of those, listening to them now, I hear something else.

(13:48):
Yep.
Yes.
Absolutely.
There and you know, I I don't know if you've had this happen to you where there'll be an EV P on your recorder.
You've heard it, everybody in the room has heard it, and you get home to download it andit's not there.
Had that happened.
Um

(14:09):
Yes, we have, and it's devastating Yes.
And what's funny is is you know, you swear you've got this, you know, oh, I'm gonna be,you know, people are gonna know about this is gonna be huge because nobody's ever heard
this before.
Um, I've got a full sentence.
And then you get home and then it's you're right, as soon as you hook that thing up, or ifit's like a a DR sixty and you're trying to do the playback and the phone and everything

(14:35):
and you find out you've got squat.
Yeah.
And that is just soul crushing.
heartbreaking.
Mm-hmm.
So when it sorry.
No, no, no.
I w I was gonna say, um, the very best E V P I've ever gotten is of my nephew.
Um, we lost him.
I was training him to be my videographer for Elk Valley.

(14:58):
Um, I made him wait until he was eighteen.
I wish I hadn't now, you know Yeah, looking back, but anyway, um he was such a uh good at
listening to everything and wanting to be involved in all of it and just he was my minime.

(15:18):
So lost him in twenty twenty two.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
And he was only nineteen and a half, going on forever.
but uh from when he left us, uh his mother was telling me a story that had to have

(15:39):
honestly, some kind of divine intervention for the coincidences to all fit together theway they did.
And so she was telling me this story one night in her home, and it was just the two of us.
We had the TV on but on mute.
Her cat and her dog were both asleep.
And six minutes and forty-two seconds in this story, Wyatt speaks.

(16:06):
And I had been begging
For a sign.
He'd given his mama so many and he'd given my mother and we just lost mom, um, back inMay.
But he'd given her so many signs.
And I'm like, What about your favorite aunt?
Come on.
I'm I was his only aunt, but still.

(16:26):
Makes it easy.
Yeah.
things can be right at the same time.
Come on.
And uh I just I kept waiting for that one.
And if I'd just been thinking, I would have been checking my audio a little bit more.
But after we lost him, I took a big break from Elk Valley.
And I've been on some investigation since then, but Elk Valley hasn't done anything.

(16:52):
I've helped people learn how to sage and cleanse their homes via Zoom.
Things like that.
But um it's just it it still hurts too much to get the team back together right now.
Um I i we will eventually.
Uh but it's just not quite time yet.

(17:13):
But um I've got that E V P if you'd like to hear it.
It's on my computer.
I'll have to um you wanna hear it?
Yeah.
Okay.
Let me slide.
While you're looking for that, it it's amazing because you're talking about teams andstuff.
And I find that those of us who've done this long enough or even been around theparanormal, it it has seasons.

(17:40):
You're you can go through a full a full wave of many, many years, and then whether it bevia burnout or whatever it is, or life changes or things happen, but what never changes is
the paranormal still happening.
So it's
At some point if you ever wanna come back, you know it's gonna be there.
So
Exactly.
Exactly.

(18:01):
The um now this C VP, let me tell you, um, I've had I used to be on legit podcast and Iplayed it for them first.
You know, we were we were live and I said, Do you want to hear it?
And they Yeah, let's hear it.
And I played it and they were shocked.
And the head guy said, Sin, I'm gonna just tell you something.

(18:25):
I'm sorry, but
It's just the way it is.
People aren't gonna believe you.
And I said, you know, but the thing is, I don't care.
This was my sign.
And I'm I've offered to play it.
So anyway, without further ado, okay.
You're gonna hear my sister talking.
Okay and then um there's I don't know if you'll hear the two little taps, but he actuallytapped twice.

(18:50):
Okay.
He said, Your son's name was Wyatt and he drove an El Camino.
And um I said, Yeah.
And then he said

(19:23):
Did you hear it?
Yeah.
I heard the tapping.
Yeah.
But did you hear that?
That's that was it.
was it.
was him.
Wow.
That's why people don't believe it's a it's an E V P.
They're they're like, somebody else was in that room with you.
No.
No.

(19:43):
I heard it but then I was like, That can't be it so I just kept listening.
God is still becoming so I'm just gonna click here.
Y'all want to hear it one more time?
Yeah.
Please I heard the tap, though, I definitely heard the tap.
Okay.
He said, Your son's name was Wyatt and he drove an El Camino.

(20:07):
And um I said, Yeah.
And then he said
So and there's another tap after.
Did you hear that?
And there's another tap after that.
And the thing is he's smiling as he's saying that.
He was a little Yeah.

(20:29):
He had been on enough investigations that he had heard my co founder, Sean, say, Allright, if there's anybody here that can talk to us, get as close as you can to that red
dot, talk as loud as you can, hopefully we can hear you when we get home.
And he did it.
He did it.
How special to have that.
Oh my God.

(20:49):
I'm emotional right now.
That's wow.
I will tell you too, um, to be aware, uh he has shown up in clips.
So yeah.
just to let you know, um you can check your audio later to see if you do have something.
Okay.
We've had that happen before actually, so

(21:11):
One of them I was on, uh I guess it was over, it was over a year ago.
I was talking about him.
And uh I was telling him something about training him.
And I got a message probably about two or three days later after the podcast, and the guysaid, Sin, I've already got six EVPs.

(21:32):
One is from your end.
You wanna hear it?
And I said, Yes, please.
And he goes, You're not gonna believe it.
And I said, Oh, send it to me.
I bet I will, I bet I will, I bet I will.
And it was Wyatt.
And all he said was, Wyatt.
And I I messaged him back and I said, Ken, I'm gonna give you his cell phone numberbecause we still have his cell phone.

(21:53):
We just we can't get rid of it, you know?
Right.
And we can hear his voice.
Yeah.
But so anyway, I said, Call it, it'll go to voicemail and then see what you think.
It wasn't a minute went by and he goes, my God, that was Wyatt.
That was Wyatt 'cause he says it just like on his voicemail.

(22:17):
Yeah, like the inflection in his voice and his tone.
Mm-hmm.
Wow, that's well heard.
That's so
And I think the only reason I picked up that that was it was because it was just enoughdifferent than like a normal voice would sound.

(22:41):
I mean, it is very slight.
I think the only reason I know that is we've as you know, you've listened to a million ofthem.
So you know there are certain there are certain key elements that almost are there for alot of the really good ones.
Mm-hmm.
And it's ever so slightly there.
But other than that
I would have literally thought someone was sitting right next to you saying so that's

(23:02):
And it sounds like a young male too.
And it's accent.
It does.
Yeah.
And how
I that's yeah, that is so special.
I'm so happy for your family and for you that you were able to capture that because I'msure you know that brings some some comfort to you guys.
Mm-hmm.
It does.

(23:23):
You know, one of the questions I like to ask about and now I'm totally off book 'causethere's
I know.
I'm just like my brain right now is like
crumple that whole thing up I was about to talk about and throw that away.
Yeah, I'm I'm still like I'm really emotional right now.
Yeah.
Sorry, I'm not trying to make you more emotional, but I'm No, no, you're fine.

(23:45):
I told you, see, we can talk about anything.
It's all
yeah.
that's perfect.
You know, kind of going into more personal details, but you know, a lot of us go into thisum because of things that have happened in our lives or stuff that we've we've gone
through, whether it be an emotional experience like that or just something that you can'tput down and and can't see.

(24:06):
But I know myself and I know other investigators that I've talked to.
How do you feel being an investigator and an author and and everything that you've done?
How do you think that's prepared?
prepared you, whether whether spiritually or emotionally or just in general for the well, the next step that we're all taking.

(24:28):
I think it's definitely prepared me more, knowing that there is something after.
And you know, growing up in the Bible Belt, we couldn't really talk about things likethat.
And there's a lot of people to this day that oh, you've got to watch.

(24:53):
You can't do that.
You're you're dealing with demons.
Mm-hmm.
It's not a demon.
So explain that.
And so when I first got into this back in 2013, my mother was terrified for me.
And so for every birthday and Christmas, I would get some kind of cross.

(25:13):
And I love them.
I love them.
And I went grew up in church and, you know, all this.
And I love crosses.
But I also love black cats and bats and skulls and
Right.
All the stuff behind me.
So but she she said, you've got to be careful.

(25:34):
There's things you just don't want to deal with.
Well, mom, I haven't run into anything like that.
And if I do, it's it's above my pay grade.
So hopefully somebody there will be able to, you know.
Otherwise, I'm not dealing with that.
So I you know, once we started with investigating,

(25:55):
I would say, we're gonna be at so and so and she'd go, Okay, be careful, but come back bycause I wanna hear about it.
And she still didn't really, really believe.
Right.
And so back and now my dad died in oh one, her mother died two, and Wyatt was born in Otwo.

(26:23):
So he kinda helped.
get over those two things for her.
So so when we lost him it was, you know, extra pulling her down.
But so anyway, um, all this was going on and she would say, Cindy, you still have andthat's what they call me, Cindy, you still have to be careful.

(26:48):
Mom, we're very careful.
I, you know,
Everybody does their own thing, but I say I'm always praying.
I always do an opening and a closing prayer.
I protect myself and well, you've got to, you've got to.
And still didn't do believe things, even though she told me she had heard my grandmotherwalking in the house.

(27:15):
She had heard my dad taking a shower and warm.
And
When Wyatt was probably about four, he was sitting in front of the television watching andmom said she looked up and dad was standing in front of him.
Wyatt Wyatt didn't see him.
But he looked over at mom and smiled and looked down at his grandson and then like he wasgetting ready to open the door and go through.

(27:44):
And then sh mama said he just disappeared.
She said, I was afraid to blink.
Yeah.
I said, Well, he's just checking in on everybody and still everything was still kinda iffywith her until Wyatt died and came back.
Um, now he came back to Susan, my sister, in that week.

(28:10):
That very first immediately.
Immediately, and just was there support 'cause it was just the two of
Yeah.
And so he he was protective of his mom and she was protective of him.
And um he just showed up every day, you know, different things.
Um he showed up with my mom on her Kindle.

(28:36):
Mom would be have her Kindle out in front of her drinking her coffee.
And um she she said, she goes, Cindy, we gotta send this Kindle back.
Something's wrong with it.
And I said, You just got it.
What's wrong?
She said, it's messed up.
What well what's it doing?
Well, I'll be reading, not touching a thing, looking and reading, and when it's ready forthe next page, I tap it to the next.

(29:00):
She said, I'll be leaning back and reading, and the thing will flip over several pages andthen flip back.
It really wonder who would do that to you.
Yeah.
And she she said, what do you mean?
I said, Who would do something like that?

(29:21):
And she said, Oh, Is that my baby?
I said, Ga I kinda think so.
I think so.
And it happened um a few times.
So about the third time it happened, she actually put it down and talked to him a littlebit.
Make her feel better.
But so he was showing up with her several times.

(29:42):
Mm-hmm.
That's fascinating.
Yeah.
And it's it's always been a little bit perplexing for me sometimes too.
And uh I'm I'm someone that doesn't have any problem with um you know, with the skulls andthe things like that, because I mean it's it's just humanity.
It's what it's what we come from.
But uh I guess sometimes I'm always I find it fascinating that having faith and being aninvestigator can't, you know,

(30:11):
Some people just can't reconcile that.
You know, I know a lot of people with tremendous amount of faith that are some excellent, you know, paranormal investigators.
And, you know, I've often talked to them, they say, well, I think when it comes down toit, it's that fear base, right?
You know, it's it's the fear of that unknown and the and the whole demonics andeverything.
And I'm like, and we say it all the time.

(30:33):
I'm like, we have been worldwide now, we have been to places that
You know, just like Lep Castle or something like that, where we're we are in the cusp ofsomething that is most people find absolutely terrifying.
And yeah, we're scared, but we're still doing it.
But we have found that ninety eight percent, maybe ninety nine percent of the time, hasnothing to do with the spirits or anything we're investigating.

(30:58):
It's the people around us that are scarier than anything that's happening.
Absolutely.
People are terrifying.
Yes, they are.
people.
Yes.
Yeah.
Far more scared of that than I am from anything.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
And you always make sure when you're investigating somewhere that that place is clearedsomebody.

(31:21):
So my co founder and one of the other guys always goes through the place and clears it tomake sure.
But never you know, you don't you don't want to come up on somebody and
No, no.
No at all.
We've been to a few places that there were probably I would say hazards we'll say no nailsand boards and you know, you got enough of these added holes in the floor.

(31:49):
Yeah, holes in the floor and and you're just like at some point, you know, at the night, you're like, Okay, what what exactly you take that little snapshot of your life and go two
o'clock in the morning.
I'm holding an antiquated
uh voice recorder that cost me way too much money.
I'm talking into the void to people that could or could not be there.

(32:11):
I'm like, I I went to college.
I was supposed to be a lawyer.
What the heck am I doing right now?
You know?
You take that snapshot of your life and go, What the heck is going on?
What am I doing?
But no, it's it that's fascinating.
You know, I I guess honestly we'll just stay on E VPs because that's just it's fun.

(32:31):
and
Maybe if you don't mind anyway.
Yeah.
and I know you've written books about it and and it's something that uh I guess basicallyI gotta ask the question because I know that people are in our audience and and myself and
I know a lot of other investigators.
When it comes to a voice recorder, of course there's the you know, the one that everybodypays a fortune for that we did too.

(32:56):
And then there's the
you know, twenty twenty ninety-nine special you get from Amazon.
And I have found that while that expensive piece of gear, there is some vul validity toit, but I also know it's incredibly fallible.
But I also know that that, you know, twenty, thirty dollar thing you get from Amazon canbe extremely effective.

(33:18):
What what would be your advice for somebody that that's just kind of getting into it, thatmay want to pick pick up a piece of gear that doesn't have
twenty two hundred dollars to throw down on a nineteen eighty piece of equipment.
Yeah.
Just know that your body is your best piece of equipment whenever you go anywhere.

(33:39):
Yep.
You listen to your gut, you feel the atmosphere around you.
It just happens.
And once you get more in tune with that, the less equipment you actually need.
Yep.
Just stay in your budget.
Any kind of digital recorder.
works now got a couple of friends that won't use anything but the is it the uh you knowthe little micro cassette recorder and you can barely find those things anymore.

(34:12):
I know.
Cassettes are expensive.
Yes.
And they used to be everywhere.
But they they swear by them.
They get better results from those and that's all they will use.
I would rather have the digital because I can just plug it right into my computer, download it.
It's just easy.

(34:32):
Um, they're clear.
You can get little microphones to add to them.
And I I don't I don't have a real expensive one.
I've got
I think I've got three of now.
And the most of all three of was about eighty dollars.
Yeah.

(34:53):
Yeah, we've funny story.
Uh we we do have a DR sixty.
It was incredibly expensive.
Anybody knows the the tools of the trade knows exactly what these things are.
it there there's a lot of things that I know what it what I can glean out of it that'sgarbage and stuff that I know that is good, but that you can say that about any piece of

(35:16):
equipment.
But we have had like
the the Olympus that we have, like two of those, we have set that thing rooms away fromwhere we're at and gotten far more detail than, you know, the twenty two hundred dollar
piece of equipment that we overpaid for.
Even the Zoom.

(35:37):
The Zoom's good, but it's almost better.
Yeah, I think.
And our cell phones picked up BvPs just like filming stuff.
Yeah.
Like some of our best ones came off the cell phone.
Get Wyatt was on a cellphone.
Okay.
That was on my cell phone.
Our clearest one that sounded like a real voice was off the cell phone in Blackwater.

(35:58):
black water.
You're gonna get people to say, Yeah, but you had your cell phone on.
You could have had all kinds of interference.
That's that's when you come back and you just let 'em know, well, you can believe what youwant.
Exactly.
This is here to prove it to you.
No, no, that's it that was my evidence, not you know.

(36:18):
Yeah, exactly.
the thing you got to tell them is that every piece of equipment that is out and made hasto have some level of ability to accept interference because that's the FCC or FC, no,
FCC.
Yeah, FCC regulation that they have to be able to endure a certain amount of interference.
That's why when a cell phone goes off next to a speaker by your computer, you get thatbeep, beep, beep, beep.

(36:41):
Because it has to do that.
It's the law behind that.
So no piece of equipment's
Interesting.
See I didn't know that.
Something new every day.
Yeah, I'm kind of a bit of a of a gearhead when it comes to that.
Dictionary of tech tech stuff that no one else knows.
And well in the DR sixty, that's an interesting piece of equipment because of just howhorribly it was made.

(37:09):
the DR sixty, for those of you who don't know what it is, you'll see them on all the bigyou know moo shows and everything.
It's uh Panasonics DR sixty.
And the reason it's so effective and a big pain in the butt is that they didn't shield it.
So it is susceptible for all kinds of

(37:29):
Inter intermittent signaling, EMF.
It's incredibly terrible.
That's why it's so good.
But you also have to know that you see these shows and they'll play something back and youhear this big scream.
Well, that's not a scream.
Nine out of ten times what that is, it's a blast of interference that comes across thatprobably sounds like a scream to a lot of people.

(37:50):
And you know, if you're doing a cool little event and they hear that, everybody's like,Oh, you know, there's a scream.
There's a very high percentage that is not it.
However, conversely
I have had a DR sixty on.
In fact, we just finished a a recording um an episode today that you hear as plain as itcan be a clear voice that was not there in the room.

(38:16):
And the reason is is it is very susceptible to EMF.
You just have to know to take the good with the bad.
Um and that's that's my soapbox warning for people who want to spend a ton of money on itbecause
if you get it, you are gonna get you're gonna get evidence nonstop, but it's not theevidence you want.
They're out there, it's there, but you know, it's it's uh it's a self looking ice creamcone.

(38:41):
Um
no, it's not.
But no, we love ours.
It's not that that's a problem, but like we were talking about, we were at Lep Castle andI'm recording on my phone on a gimbal and we hear very clearly out of the left hand side,
her right hand side, the sound of somebody jumping.

(39:02):
Well, we don't hear the sound of it.
Somebody jumping.
We hear the scream, I should say, on the way down.
Yeah, like a five.
And of course, that is one of the things that is known about this place.
And uh, you know, all kinds of recorders were going on at that point, but it was my it wasthis, this this phone right here that caught it.

(39:25):
And it was loud, it was clear, and it was completely unmistakable.
Wow.
Yeah.
And see, that's the thing too, because you can have five people with recorders and thespirit pick one.
Yeah.
And the thing that burns me is we we the same thing we just did.

(39:46):
There were three of us sitting in a closet that was known to be very, very active.
And we all asked the same question and we all got the same words.
It is a weird sentence to say to As I was saying it, I'm like, this is a really
No context.
That sounds weird.
Let me let me back that up a little bit.
There were three investigators that we all went into the closet to to do a um you know alittle EVP session.

(40:07):
And we are no kidding, probably as close as Nicole and I are, and there's three of us, andI would get one, the other two wouldn't.
They would get one, we wouldn't.
It would take its, you know, and we're literally less than a foot apart from each other.
And you're just like, okay, it's not.
the voice that you're hearing.
They don't have vocal cords.

(40:30):
It's something that's coming through through that digital, digital imprint.
So it's it's it's just very fascinating.
Yes.
I love E VPs.
I could probably talk nauseum at it.
I you think i it's almost like they get bored.
Yeah.
And they start playing around.
Unless I'm gonna do the watch, watch this.

(40:50):
You know go and talk to one person or flick somebody's ear or something.
Mm-hmm.
You know, just just to get a reaction.
Yeah.
We've had tell us tell us that.
Like, I made this up or I'm I that was me.
And then ha ha ha.
They they laugh.
And they laugh when we laugh.
Like we've had that several times.

(41:12):
Yes, we have.
When we're just like joking around with the people we're with and then they laugh.
And we're like, Oh, was that funny?
Yeah.
It was.
Like it's it's so awesome because it's that human element there that that's it's it's justus.
We've passed on and they're just still people.
And I think
I think that makes it less scary for people.
Right, right.

(41:33):
And I um I have a another friend, well, Eric Freeman Sims, I don't know if you know him ornot, but um he owns the night house in Hawkinsville, Kentucky that he can go and stay at.
Um he's also the coordinator of Goblin Con and that's coming up this weekend.
Oh.
that's in Hawkinsville.

(41:55):
But um he always says and and
Here's c here comes a curse word, just you're
We're good.
Okay.
If you're an asshole in life, most likely you're gonna be an asshole in death too.
Exactly.
Ain't that shit true?
Yeah, it no, and that's true.

(42:15):
And uh you know, it's funny you say that.
We've had this plenty of times before, and it's true.
It's like first of all, when it comes to demonics, I always say, at least I would hopeanyway, that if you're a demon, there isn't zero point zero chance that a level one demon
is caring about what I'm doing at the Whispers Estate.

(42:38):
At three o'clock in the morning on a February evening.
Hopefully, if they're doing there and they actually exist, they got a lot bigger fish tofry than me.
You know?
So I it just it just cracks me up.
Now, on the other side of that, I have been around some pissed off entities where if youdidn't know the difference and you didn't, you weren't, you didn't let yourself fall into

(43:03):
that fear category, you would be.
terrified that it was something of that nature.
Um and that just it's part of the the investigation process that you just get better at atit over time.
And there's there's even spirits that aren't even pissed off.
They're they're they're just um it's their home and they don't want you there.

(43:24):
And I I get this this weird sensation of feeling rushed by something and they're just upon you trying to push you out without hearing anything.
It's like their energy is just like, get out of here, you know.
So
We've we've run in fact we run across that um at a at a s getting a pretty well known uhhere at the Aurora brothel, which isn't too far from us.

(43:53):
I ran into quite an interesting character from that.
Um but I I made good contact with him.
We talked about it.
Um and he's just being protective of the people that are there with him.
so he's kinda like the I I like to think of him as kind of like the big daddy.
He takes care of them so that they don't have to deal with, you know, us.
Yeah.
Yeah.

(44:13):
'cause they deserve their peace.
You know, and that that was kind of his his thought of that, but
I think about that too.
Like when I'm gone, if I have a place that I I enjoy and these people keep coming in,bugging me, asking me the same questions over and over, it's gonna get tiring after a
while.
It's gonna be like All right, what can I do now?
Like to get out of here.
I think that's why they enjoy so much when we just talk amongst ourselves about nothingand everything.

(44:40):
Yeah.
Yeah, it's like and it's funny because we've gone out I mean, obviously as long as we'veall been doing it, we've all run into the same thing.
Hey, touch this thing, or hey, rank the bell ring, or hey, do this.
At some point we gotta think that we are the probably the eightieth person that's beenthere that month that's asked them to do that over who knows how many years.

(45:05):
I often think about like if they're all sitting around, you know, all these entitiessitting around going,
Oh, here they come.
Yeah.
Here you go.
Oh, there's the REM pod.
They're all gonna want us to touch the red light, you know.
Because you know that's gotta be happening.
hosted not too long ago this meme about this these ghosts in a circle and one of themgoes, Oh, I get to be Alice again.

(45:31):
And the other one was going, but I get to do this tonight.
Yeah, but I get to be Alice again.
I've seen that one.
I just saw that one.
Uh I love it.
I loved it.
But you And it might not be Alice.
It might be you know, there's usually Mary or Sarah.
Yes.

(45:53):
Yeah, we've gotten Mary Sarah, we've got an Elizabeth, a lot of Elizabeths.
Yeah.
what else do we usually get?
We get we get some interesting ones that are like repeat players.
But you know, and it's true because you gotta think if if we're all in agreement thatthese are us later, you know, whether or not what you believe, if it's you know, if you

(46:15):
have a certain belief structure, I mean, a lot of things can be true at the same time.
But you know, you look at some of this and you go, Of course they're gonna have fun.
You know, I mean what what what else are they doing?
You know, they're not you know, they don't they're not worried about our construct oftime.
They're just enjoying probably what's going on and woe be upon the investigator that hasto deal with me because that is just gonna be fun, I'm telling you right now.

(46:39):
I don't know where I'm going, but uh and if I have the choice, I'm gonna stick around fora little while because I I wanna have a little bit of fun too.
Yeah.
But you make a really good point.
It's like if we're not actually investigating at the moment and we're just talking amongstourselves, having a snack or whatever, I feel like those are the moments that are special
and that they may interact because it I probably makes them feel alive again.

(47:03):
Yeah.
Yeah.
You know, they're not just people like, What you know, how did you die and this and that, which I don't like that question.
Um anyway, and we avoid that question.
But you know, it's just
They feel like they're part of the the group again.
You know, they can just hang out and experience laughter and and being a person.
Absolutely.
And I think those are the moments where we probably could have the most contact if we werepaying attention.

(47:26):
Because stuff happens all the time when we're on break.
Yes.
All the time.
Yeah.
In fact, it's it's that time frame that I think if we could figure out how to bottle that,we would have so much evidence.
But all the cameras are turned off, like every the recorders are all off.
And maybe we just need to start leaving them on.
But I you know, we've talked about this even with like Ryan and Greg.

(47:48):
Like sometimes turning the stuff off is what leads to having the activity.
If we have it running, maybe that thing wouldn't have happened because they're aware thatit's on.
Yeah.
And they're just like, I don't want you to record me.
So I'm gonna wait till you turn this stuff off.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
You know, I told you Mark, my buddy, is a psychic.

(48:11):
And so he channels and does all that kind of stuff.
And he tr is a trance artist as well.
So he can channel and then come out with the person that he's talking to, a drawing.
Very, very talented artist.
And um he was drawing some of the spirits of the night house for Eric.

(48:35):
One of them is a sweet little lady named Georgie and she's come across quite often.
She kinda took care of some of the kids there.
And she was it was like back in the fifties.
So, you know, um but just one of the ones that would like babysit and cook and just dodifferent things, um, play with the kids.

(49:00):
And she told Mark 'cause he was he was
getting ready to draw and she she says, No.
She did not want to be drawn.
I said, Why didn't she want to be drawn?
Because she thinks she's overweight.
Yeah.
Wow.
She did not want her picture drawn.
Why did she?
Wow, so that we carry that with us too.

(49:23):
Fascinating.
I'm really in trouble.
I do not like like my picture being taken.
I'm in trouble.
my goodness.
Yeah.
You know, I gotta ask you a question.
I know that every every investigator has their their red letter, uh, coup de gras, bestever EVP.

(49:48):
I would assume for personal reasons that would have been the Wyatt one.
Right.
But do you have one that was not uh that's not the Wyatt one that you're like, when youheard it, you're like, wait a minute.
And then, you know, you ever even this many years, or maybe it was just last week, doesn'tmatter, where you've said to yourself, if this if this C VP doesn't at least I nobody's

(50:12):
here to prove anything to anybody else.
You're gonna believe whatever you want to believe.
But if this doesn't at least kinda make people think, then I don't know what will.
Do you what what do you have for that?
have one, we were at a cemetery in this county.
the police had already come out.
What are y'all doing here?
We're in we're investigating.

(50:33):
Ghosts?
Oh hell no.
You know.
He was a black man and he didn't want any part of that.
Yeah.
Y'all do you, I'm out of here.
Yeah.
Right yeah.
Right after that, I got an E V P from this
Woman, and all she said was, I'm so tired of this ditch.

(51:00):
Wow.
She was tired of being in the grave.
Yeah.
That's amazing.
Wow.
Yeah, that that would be and did you did you d play it back in in time or was that lateryou found it?
It was
of course.
Of course.
Yeah.
I know it's the worst.

(51:22):
Yeah.
You know, and that's the thing.
a lot of people will like, you know, they'll watch our shows or they'll listen tosomething.
They're like, Well, why didn't you guys try this?
I'm like, guys, we did not hear this until you know, months later because we're that farbehind.
Exactly.
And a lot of times you don't have time at that location.

(51:43):
You've only got a certain amount of hours that you can get in and get out.
You just don't have time.
Well we were at OSR what a month or two ago?
It's been roughly a couple months.
Yeah, a couple of months ago.
And if anybody doesn't know what that is, it's where they shot Shaw Shank Redemption.
And it is it's in
Enormous.
Amazing.
It is beautiful.

(52:04):
It's enormous.
It's amazing.
But there were six or eight of us.
Eight of us for this entire institution.
And you know, you first you're like, yeah, that's awesome.
We get all this time.
We got there at what, uh seven or eight or something like that.
And we had it until three, I think.

(52:25):
And I'm telling you, we were booking it.
Yeah.
We we had to we had to move with the purpose to get to every single place we wanted toget.
Place is so large too.
That's part of it.
Yeah.
But you know, there's no way that we could have sat there and listened to every singlething that we got, you know.
We tried.
Yeah.
And but but y you know, I mean sometimes in the moment you can't hear it.

(52:45):
No.
It's not until we get back and analyze and boost the audio and cut out, you know, that youcan even hear these things.
But I mean
Well, I I bring up OSR for and I know you're gonna know which one I'm talking about.
Now the we've had some great EVPs where we're just asking regular questions, you know, uh,who are you, all those sort of things, you know, the boilerplate stuff.

(53:06):
But then sometimes, you know, even us uh usually get tired of the same questions over andover.
And we were in what's gonna come out, I know I'm probably spoiling a little bit, but uh
Boiler.
Spoiler alert, uh, we were sitting in a, I won't say which room.
We'll just say that.

(53:26):
Okay.
And um I knew that they were going to do head counts because it was a prison.
And I what I decided to do is said, hey, you know, I kind of took the persona of anotherinmate.
Hey, you know, the the warden's gonna be in here.
They want to do a head count, uh, make sure everybody's ready to go.
We don't want to get in trouble again this time.
Kind of set this whole scenario up, right?

(53:47):
And there were uh, I think three of us in the in the room at the same time.
And I count off from like one.
Then the person next to me said two.
The person next to me said three.
And sin, my the hair on my arms are standing up now.
But I heard four, five, six, seven, eight.
And it's clear.
That's amazing.

(54:08):
It if you can see my arm, my hair is standing straight up.
Yeah, you gave me those too.
A ma it was wild.
And I'm just it just floored me.
I'm excited for both of you for having it.
Yeah.
And we've had some great E VPs.
It's not that we don't, but that's one of those where I'm like, that's what I want to domore of.

(54:29):
You know what I mean?
It as an investigator, I've you know, of all this time and everything that we've beendoing, things and sport of course with the show and stuff like that and having talked to
just uh, you know, amazing investigators, you pick up on things that other people do.
Yeah, you learn from each other.
But I think I aspire to do more things like that, you know, and and I think that's

(54:50):
Yeah.
Think outside the box.
You know, everybody's gonna say the same questions like, What's your name?
How old are you?
All those sort of things.
And that's there's no problem with that.
I mean, that's fine.
It's kinda cracked the ice open.
But after that, expand a little bit, you know?
I mean, the if they're just if you're just asking them, you know, the run of the millquestions, you're gonna get run of the mill answers.

(55:13):
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
Personalized.
Yeah.
absolutely.
So what's your what's your favorite place?
Where have you gone where uh what it didn't even have to be EVPs?
A place that you've investigated that I think a lot of us that do this know there's aplace that we feel is like home, kind of like that that attachment to it.

(55:36):
Do you have a place like that?
Yeah, there's the old hospital here in this county.
Yeah.
Um, it's honestly it's the most haunted place I've ever been in.
And um it's run down, you know, one of those kind.
And we've had so many teams in there and we a show has come down and filmed.

(56:02):
Um, something dropped off of one of the show people and
was left there.
So the energy changed completely.
you know, you have some teams that don't remember to close their conversations.
Yeah.
So things keep popping through.

(56:22):
That place is just off the chart.
And I've been remember I've told you about being rushed
I'm I've had that happen twice.
And I'll I'll walk by myself in that old hospital to go get something.
But they will try to intimidate you immediately to get out of their spot.

(56:47):
But um if you want to check it out, you have your listeners go to El Valleyparanormal dotcom to the hospital, old hospital.
And there's two videos on there.
Um one is on the second floor that is a true orb.
And what do I mean by true orb?

(57:07):
exactly.
I know y'all do.
I know y'all do.
Yes.
Yeah.
It has its own light.
It has its own path.
It does not go a with the wind like everything else does.
So if you see dust going one way and it goes the other, it might be a true orb.
Or it might not.
It could be a bug.

(57:28):
It could be a piece, you know, a raindrop.
It could be all kinds of things.
But
You try to debunk everything you can.
But this is a true orb.
It comes out of a door and goes into a wall.
But the reason it's there is because it doesn't want you to pay attention to what runsacross the floor.

(57:51):
So something runs across the floor on the second.
Now that's um that was taken on a Halloween evening.
I thought
And the other video is in infrared or full spectrum.
So it's that pink, you know, color.
And I actually this guy moved so fast that I slowed it down to take a still shot of it andgot a screenshot.

(58:15):
Um, that way you can look at the screenshot to see what you're looking for in that videobecause he moves so fast and he looks like a cross between we call him the crawler, the
creeper.
He looks like a cross between the Michelin man and the Staypuff Marshmallow man.
Oh wow.
Three and a half feet tall and he does not want to be seen, but he got

(58:40):
Yeah.
Wow.
Wow.
Yeah, I'm definitely gonna
know, I think that scares me more short stuff.
You know when when No, I mean you know, when I when I do something wrong I
You can take out their knees that way.

(59:00):
But no, you know, growing up, I always thought it was some like big, huge monster thatscared the crap out of me.
No, I think a little running state puff marshmallow maybe scared the shit out of me.
That is it.
It moves really quickly.
You know?
Yeah.
Yeah, exactly.
They went slow.
You could kind of, you know, set yourself up, go, okay, I'm ready for this.

(59:20):
I'm ready for it.
But no, this thing is quick.
But yeah.
So check those out.
And then there was another thing you brought up early on and I wanted to touch on if youdon't care.
Please.
Still talking about EVPs, but um you mentioned extra syllables.
Right?
Okay.
So what I found in several of mine.

(59:46):
And it several different places.
Um, it was a clear sentence, except it was like they were stuttering.
It was like, you know, um, say something like, um, the gate was open, you know.
And I'm like, why do ghosts stutter?

(01:00:06):
Yeah, I uh you wouldn't think if they're all energy, they would have trouble with that.
So what I did one night was flip
The the clip reversed it.
There was a completely different sentence.
And it was like that is the more ominous message.

(01:00:28):
That's when they're talking amongst themselves.
So if you got extra syllables, flip it to see if there's another sentence there.
That's genius.
That's genius.
I would have never thought to do that.
That's not genius.
That's just trial and error.
That's you know, are they stuttering?
I don't think ghosts stutter.

(01:00:52):
But yeah, one was done at Hells Bar and I was getting this weird extra syllable ineverything I was getting.
And there was a lot of EVPs there.
And it was in Sarah's room.
Why do you have Sarah's room at Hells Bar Dam?
Why is there it?

(01:01:12):
room for a little girl at Hells Bar Dam.
Yeah.
And so I turned it around and instead of saying things like, get out of here, you know, itwas the extra syllable and they were saying at the same time that other sentence was
happening.
That's when you gotta understand they can talk forwards and backwards at the same time.

(01:01:36):
Sure.
It's not a voting cord.
so much over us.
So much over us.
But those E VPs were ominous.
Like, um, if they don't leave, I will eat them.
Jesus.
Yikes.
Do we wanna flip this over?

(01:01:56):
Was this Sarah?
Wow.
Well I'll tell you what, if they want to eat me, they better come with a big coffee break.
I'm not a whole lot a lot of me.
Golly, that's frightening.
If you if you've got extra syllables, just just try flipping to see if you have something.

(01:02:17):
For sure.
I'd be interested in hearing from you.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
One thing kind of in closing that I wanted to talk to you about, um, and this is somethingthat literally has happened to uh I've got a very good friend of mine that we've talked to
um over text and he's actually shared some stuff with me.
And it has to do with the the little home, you know, AI assistant type things.

(01:02:41):
Um, I'm starting to see an uptick of or should just say at least an increase of
Conversations happening in the middle of nowhere, uh, two, three o'clock in the morning, this happens.
And, you know, the thing I was talking to him about, you know, I'm a I'm an elect okay, well, I'll be telling tell you exactly what I'm I'm a network engineer by trade.

(01:03:03):
So part of what I do is I'm analytical.
I know exactly how digital voice phenomenon works, Nyquist theory, all that kind of stuff.
But to dial it back a little bit, I've noticed that these things are geek becoming muchand much more sensitive so that they can hear us, right?
Well, as that starts to happen, we're starting starting to notice the EVPs getting pickedup by the digital assistants at home.

(01:03:29):
I mean, this particular person, he hits me up, he's like, dude, you gotta see this.
So he's he's in his kitchen and he's talking about something.
And he says, he says, uh the A word.
We'll just say, I don't have one around here, but in case you do, um, you know, the personnamed E A.
And can you tell me about this?
And then she answers.
And then you hear this real weird whisper talking to something.

(01:03:53):
It's like creepy sounding too.
It's like creepy whisper.
Really fast.
yeah, it's really fast.
And the tense you can hear it.
So what it says is something like I can't believe he's that interested in this orsomething like that.
And then he's like, What did you say?
And he comes back to it.
He says, Alexa, can you repeat that?
Goes she goes, no, I was just I was just saying I I can't believe you're that interestedin this.

(01:04:16):
She changed the tense of the of the response and that floored us.
And I'm like, There is gonna be a point in time, I think, where
We're gonna start getting conversations that are had um with our digital technology fromstuff that we've been recording for years.
And didn't he even didn't he even say to it, Well, no, I wasn't your voice I heard.

(01:04:40):
Who was I hearing speaking?
I can only hear human vo voices or something was the reply.
And I was like, That is creep it was creepy.
It was really weird.
I I told him I said, That would be it.
I'd be unplugging that thing and it would be in the trash.
Like, no, no.
It it was really unnerving actually.

(01:05:01):
So somebody who appreciates EVPs, be on the lookout for that.
You'll love that.
I think it's gonna start happening.
I mean, we've we've just got like the Google assistant thing in the kitchen.
Um, but it'll go off sometimes when we're in the other room and be like, what did you say?
And we're like we just look at each other and we know we didn't say anything.
Oh wow.
So what is it picking up on?
Yeah, it's picking up on something.

(01:05:23):
Well, there are investigators that are actually starting to put it in their in their toolkits.
They're taking them on an investigation because of that very like a little uh those dots, you know, they'll take them in there small and you just take them in there.
And as long as you got Wi-Fi, which most places are gonna be don't, but if you do, youknow, um, or you just put your phone as a hotspot, whatever it doesn't matter.

(01:05:44):
But I I find that interesting that I think there's a lot of things that are gonna changehere in the not too busy picture.
Ring cameras are picking up.
Yes.
Yeah, um, on my signs book, Signs from Beyond.
Um, this girl here in town, she said, I've got a weird video on my ring cam I wanna sendto you.

(01:06:09):
Tell me what it is.
And I looked at it and I went, Holy cow.
And I wrote her back and I I was like, Okay, wait, I gotta
check with my other buddies to see I'm gonna see what they say first to see if what I seeis what they're seeing, you know, vice versa.

(01:06:32):
They saw similar.
I sent it to Mark and I said, Mark, what is that?
And he said it's a cat.
It was a cat spirit that was coming home.
They had lost this cat.
Um, I think it had come up missing about four months before this, and this cat was lettingher know she was coming home.

(01:06:56):
Wow.
It's fascinating.
Yeah, there's that's cool.
There's sensitivity to things and there's specific but anyway, the word I'm trying to saycan't remember what it is.
Um but they're they're starting to gain ground together.
You know, you used to have a lot of sensitivity, but it couldn't be specific.
And then you could have things that could be the opposite or it'd be very specific, but itcouldn't be oversensitive because they just didn't work the same way.

(01:07:19):
And those those two worlds are starting to converge and that's it's getting frighteninghow some of that stuff's coming out, but
But listen, we first of all thank you.
I think we could probably
I could talk to you for a long time.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
We definitely need to do that.
Um, but listen, I wanna make sure that our audience gets a chance to kinda check out someof the stuff that you have.

(01:07:43):
And I know that you mentioned the website, but i if you could where can where can ouraudience find you and what do you got going on?
Sure.
Um, so send Trader Hill author on Facebook.
You can also find Elk Valley Paranormal there.
Go to the website Elkvalleyparanormal dot com to see the evidence and the EVPs.
Unfortunately, I don't have Wyatt's voice on there yet.

(01:08:06):
Um, it's there's been too much going on, book writing and speaking and different thingslike that.
So I'm not updated, but I will eventually.
Um
If you've got a story you would like for me to include in any of the books coming up, youcan send a story to me.
Send SchraderHill author at gmail.com.

(01:08:27):
I'd be happy to add it.
Whether it's a sign of a loved one coming back to say hello to a spooky story, I've justput them all.
I'm uh working on chill to the bone right now, which is the next one in the
True ghost stories and eerie tales.
So if you got some spooky ones, I'm always taking those.

(01:08:49):
I'm always um taking more signs from beyond.
There's going to be a third one in that sequel.
And I've just started a new series.
Um, The Unquiet Dead.
They're all on Amazon.
And look them up when you find me on there.
You'll find Mark Elliott Fultz, Eric, Eric Freeman Sims, and all those others.

(01:09:10):
So let me hear from you.
That's gonna be great.
Yeah.
And we'll we'll definitely go on there.
I want to see some of the stuff you're talking about.
I can't wait.
I know, I know.
I do have a question for you.
Since you're in Tennessee, there's one place that is on our bucket list and I'm sureyou've been there is Brushy Mountain.
Yes.
We went April.

(01:09:32):
Okay.
Tell anything that you can tell me, like what was your best experience there?
I got some feedback from Mark before we left.
And he he didn't go.
He was in Florida.
So he does remotes.
And he's always scarily spot on.

(01:09:58):
So he told me he said when you get there, when you go through the front gate, front door.
And you're in the courtyard area behind administration.
You know, there is a a big field right there, very heavy.
There's a guy that hangs out there.

(01:10:20):
He was murdered.
He's hanging out there to get um energy from the Coke machines and stuff that are rightthere, the vending machines.
He didn't say that, but that's why I found out that's why there's so much energy.
There's there's feeding machines right there, and then all of the people come rightthrough there so he can sap energy.

(01:10:43):
And interesting.
Yeah.
We found out later that he was the one that is up on B block.
Um there is a character that likes to smoke, and if you if you light a cigarette for him,you might see a puff being done.
That's cool.

(01:11:04):
I I'm so excited.
Is is a cool, cool place.
It's one of those places that it's big, you know, it's probably not as big as the one youwere at, but there's a lot to cover.
Yeah.
So it's it's a good one.
uh
prisons.

(01:11:25):
We love prisons.
I I know.
I I know.
I just I think it's inter I don't know, they're just interesting.
The the activity you get the the yeah, the responses you get.
He's I don't know.
Well, sin, it's been fantastic to have you.
Thank you so much again.
Thank you so much.
Look forward.
Hopefully we can have you back on.
Uh I think that we could probably by the way, I had this whole list of questions that Iprobably should have gotten to, but it was just too cool to talk about this stuff.

(01:11:53):
So we'll probably have have you back on for that.
That you just twist my arm.
Sounds good.
Well, thank you very much and we look forward to talking to you soon.
Y'all as well.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Hey, thanks and I get the feeling that we could have probably talked to her for about liketen hours.
Most definitely.
Most definitely.

(01:12:13):
She was a lot of fun.
Yeah.
Guys, um, you know, she's got a lot of books out there, wealth of knowledge.
Um, please give her a shot.
Go out there, pick up her book, um, Amazon, right?
And I'm we're gonna put up her uh her information on the screen so you can pick up uhanything that she's got.
Um, but yeah, I th I had a lot of fun talking.
Yeah, I did too.
And that EVP of her nephew.

(01:12:35):
my goodness.
I'm still like, I can't get it out of my head.
It was so clear.
And you know, like and I know I said it several times, but how special is that to be ableto have like I think about the people that we've lost.
I would give anything to have their voice speaking to me and and knowing that she's aparanormal investigator be like, hey, can you hear that?

(01:12:58):
That's so
Oh my goodness.
What a great chart.
I know.
I can't get over it.
And it it it hit me right here.
Like I could I wanted to cry like hard.
It just it really touched me.
Mm-hmm.
That's harsh.
If it hits her here, that's not so bad.
But if it hits her right here,
Don't make fun of me.

(01:13:19):
But I had to ch choke back my tears.
I'm like, my goodness, that's and I can only imagine how that made them feel the firsttime they heard it.
Yeah.
I I think that if I'd have heard that, I I don't know that I could have kept myselftogether that well.
Well, they probably didn't, you know, they probably heard it a million times at thispoint.
But I mean, what an incredible thing to have um of your loved ones.

(01:13:40):
So thank you so much for sharing that with us.
And that was amazing.
Um, but definitely go check out her website um and look at the evidence that she wastalking about 'cause I I wanna go see the little Michelin man.
Scare the crap out of me.
I don't know what it is.
Like when she started talking about it, and I'm like, ah again, we've said it in othershows and stuff.

(01:14:00):
I don't really get it really scared about stuff, but if a little short stay puffmarshmallow man's running around, I think I'm gonna get scared.
You know why?
It's because Hollywood.
You think about like all the like little evil like Chucky doll you don't like dolls too.
That's another thing.
Like the little things that run at you and like take out your legs and like climb up you.

(01:14:20):
And th there's usually like in the movies it's always the small thing that's climbing thewalls, like the dolls.
I think it all it's that.
I think that's what it is.
right.
That's how I hated the leprechaun that movie.
Yeah.
You know.
Yeah.
Well, and it reminds you of that type of stuff too.
Like these unknown things that we don't know anything about.
Hate it.
But no, I d definitely go check that out.
I'm going to go and look at it because I'm I'm fascinated.

(01:14:42):
Um, so interesting.
She's got some great ideas and I can't wait to implement some of that stuff.
And see, this is why we do this.
You you can learn from each other.
Yeah.
no one knows everything.
I mean, if we share ideas and you know, try these things out, you never know what you what
You where you can go and what you might get.
That's right.
Yeah.

(01:15:03):
I blissfully live under the umbrella of I know very little.
That way that way when things happen I I feel like I'm actually learning things and and Idon't feel like I'm getting complacent and every day's new.
Precisely because it makes life exciting.
Each day you can learn something new and how exciting.
If you know everything, how boring would you be?
I don't know.

(01:15:23):
I think.
That Sheldon looked pretty boring.
But
And look how miserable he made everyone.
It's true.
He did
But guys, listen, thank you so much for hanging around.
Had a great time with Sin, and I hope you guys had a good time.
So See you next time.
