The 1971 Delphos, Kansas UFO Encounter | Tinfoil and Tan Lines

Something landed in Delphos, Kansas... and it left behind more than eyewitnesses.

In this episode of Tinfoil and Tan Lines, Logan Mathias investigates the famous Delphos UFO Incident—one of the most compelling trace evidence UFO cases in American history. On a quiet November evening in 1971, 16-year-old Ronald Johnson and his dog witnessed a glowing, mushroom-shaped object hovering just above the family farm. Moments later, the mysterious craft disappeared, leaving behind a strange ring of glowing soil and physical evidence that investigators struggled to explain.

Unlike many UFO sightings that rely solely on eyewitness testimony, the Delphos Encounter produced unusual trace evidence. Scientists examined the affected soil, investigators documented the mysterious landing site, and witnesses reported strange physical effects that have fueled debate for more than five decades.

In this episode, we explore:

• The complete story of the 1971 Delphos UFO Incident
• Eyewitness testimony from Ronald Johnson and his family
• The mysterious ring of glowing soil and scientific analysis
• Why the Delphos case remains one of the strongest physical evidence UFO encounters on record
• The theories that continue to divide UFO researchers and skeptics

Was it an extraterrestrial craft? A classified military experiment? Or something science still can't explain?

Join us as we revisit one of America's most fascinating UFO landing cases, where the evidence didn't just appear in the sky—it was left behind on the ground.
