The Phoenix Lights may have captured the world's attention on March 13, 1997—but the story didn't end there.
In this debut episode of Tinfoil and Tan Lines, the limited summer series from Generation X Paranormal, Tucson native Logan Mathias explores the forgotten aftermath of America's most famous UFO event. While headlines focused on the massive lights seen over Phoenix, strange sightings continued across Arizona for months, leaving witnesses searching for answers and fueling one of the largest waves of modern UFO reports.
Drawing on his firsthand knowledge of Southern Arizona, Logan examines the surge of Arizona UFO sightings reported throughout June and July of 1997, the growing skepticism surrounding military explanations, and the grassroots skywatching movement that emerged in the wake of the Phoenix Lights.
In this episode, we explore:
- The aftermath of the 1997 Phoenix Lights
- Continued UFO sightings across Arizona
- Reports from witnesses throughout Phoenix and Tucson
- Military explanations and why many remain unconvinced
- How one extraordinary night changed the UFO conversation for decades to come
From Tucson rooftops to South Mountain trails, this episode uncovers the overlooked chapter of one of the most significant UFO events in American history.
The lights may have faded...
But the mystery never disappeared.
