A leather vest. Work boots. The smell of beer. A biker gets nose to nose with me in a packed nightclub and tells me he can break me like a matchstick. I do the only thing I can do: I pray. And today's thought-provokingquestion to start the show is
this Have you ever judgedsomeone before you ever knew
their story?
Maybe it was the clothes theywore, the tattoos on their arm,
the color of their hair, theneighborhood they lived in, or
maybe the motorcycle they rode.

Years ago, I had an encounterwith a biker I'll never forget.
His name was Randy.
He was enormous.
Leather vest, work boots, longhair, beer on his breath.
He got nose to nose with me in acrowded nightclub and said, Ron
Myers, I could take you outsideand break you like a matchstick.
(01:27):
I thought, Lord, this is how mylife is gonna end.
But then something happened thatneither one of us expected.
I'm going to tell you the restof the story a little later.
And now let me introduce you totoday's guest, another biker.
Man, he's big, he looks tough,he has the whole package, the
(01:50):
leather, the bike, the boots.
But before the conversation isover, you'll discover that one
of the toughest looking menyou'll ever meet has one of the
softest hearts you'll everencounter.
You'll hear about the little boywho asked, Who killed Jesus?
Or the growing man who heard thewhisper, get up.

And the biker who discoveredthat true strength isn't found
in throwing punches, it's foundin surrendering your life to
Jesus Christ.
Now let's take a listen to myconversation with Rick the
biker.
Rick, who is Jesus to you?
SPEAKER_05 (02:30):
He is my savior.
You look at the man that he was,you look at what he did.
He didn't get drugged to thecross, he went to the cross for
who?
For us.
And what brings tears to my eyesis he went to the cross for me.
For me.
Ron Meyers (02:51):
Amen.
Yeah, it really is something tograsp that even if we were the
only person in the world, he'dstill go to the cross for us.
That's how much he loves us.
So where did you first meetJesus?
Did you have Jesus in yourfamily as a as a child?
And were you drugged to churchevery Sunday?
SPEAKER_05 (03:13):
Well, my family was was Catholic.
And one day we sat in front ofthe TV and it was the greatest
story ever told, and TenCommandments was on and all
this.
It was about that time of theyear, and asked my mother, I
said, Mama, who who killedJesus?
Because I was looking forsomebody to blame.
(03:33):
And she turned and looked at meright in the eyes and said,
Ricky, we killed Jesus.
That affected me.
Ron Meyers (03:41):
How old were you at that age, you think?
SPEAKER_05 (03:43):
About five.
Ron Meyers (03:45):
Wow.
That's a kind of a powerfulquestion to ask your mom at five
years old.
SPEAKER_05 (03:49):
Yeah, that people don't realize the effect that
Hollywood has on our families'lives for good and for evil.
Ron Meyers (04:00):
So did this begin a journey in your life that you
wanted to find out more aboutwho Jesus was?
SPEAKER_05 (04:07):
And it was that question almost was like I put
my hand up and God saw it andsaid, Okay, you want to know?
I got an answer for you.
And he dealt with me throughoutthe rest of my life until 2005,
right after Katrina, when I wasat this church and sitting next
(04:29):
to the woman that would be mythird wife, because the other
two had had gone on.
And I heard a voice and it said,Get up.
But it was even softer thanthat.
I turned and I looked at her andI said, What did you say?
She's I didn't say nothing.
She wasn't even singing.
It was during the the the partwhere they were they were
(04:50):
singing a lot of gospel songs.
It was beautiful.
But she wasn't singing, she wasjust listening.
And then I heard it again.
Get up.
And I turned around, there wasnobody around behind me.
I'm getting just pulled into it,you know.
And I felt something on my arm,and I looked and there's nothing
there.
And I'm thinking, better get up.
(05:11):
And I turned to her and I say,Amy, I'm guess I'm going up to
the altar.
Okay.
So up I get, and I walk up tothe altar.
I understand, Ron.
Thirty-five years I've been abiker.
You don't show any emotionexcept for maybe anger and
joyment.
(05:32):
You don't show tears.
That's weakness.
You might cry for a brother thatthat went down, that died.
You might cry for his family,but that's it.
Ron Meyers (05:44):
So you're Mr.
Tough Macho Rick the Bikersitting in church, and you hear
a voice, a quiet voice, thatsays to stand up, but you kind
of fight that, but finally youstood up.
Did you go to the altar?
SPEAKER_05 (05:57):
I went to the altar before I hit my knees.
Ron Meyers (06:02):
Sounds like you ran into Jesus at that altar.
SPEAKER_05 (06:05):
I did.
The Holy Spirit was therewaiting on me.
They say, they say Jesus, Jesusis a gentleman.
God's a gentleman.
God is sovereign.
He is the master of all.
He is the king of the universe.
He made it, he owns it, he ownsus, whether we like it or not.
(06:27):
He called me to that altar.
Ron Meyers (06:30):
So that day you had a date with destiny.
Yes, sir.
Destiny was knocking on the doorand about to change your life
forever.
Now, this was in 2005, rightafter Katrina.
So what was the change?
What happened to Rick the biker?
SPEAKER_05 (06:50):
My stone heart became flush.
Ron Meyers (06:53):
Yeah, the Bible says he gives us a new heart.
SPEAKER_05 (06:57):
He certainly did that to me.
He certainly did.
I had been told that I was agood man.
You're a good person.
You you do nice things forpeople.
I also did a lot of horriblethings to people because of the
life that I was living.
Now I'm ashamed of what I usedto be, but I hit my knees
(07:20):
because what Jesus made me.
Because if not for God's HolySpirit, they'd have found me
under a bridge under I-10 dead,either because of something I
put up my nose or in my arm, andI'd have been alone, utterly
alone, because the Holy Spiritwouldn't have been with me.
I would not have been known toGod, and I wouldn't want to have
(07:43):
been known to God.
Ron Meyers (07:45):
But there are a lot of people listening and say,
well, that guy, that was justhis time.
You know what?
I'm enjoying life right now, andI don't have God in my life, and
I'm having fun.
I'm going down the road with myhair blowing on my motorcycle,
and I don't have Jesus.
So, you know, what's the bigdeal?
SPEAKER_05 (08:05):
The big deal is time is getting short.
And it's getting shorter.
You think you got tomorrow?
There was a fellow, and ifthere's any banditos listening,
and I'm sure there is, becausethere are some believers in the
banditos.
It is a secular club, but thereare people with heart in that
(08:27):
club.
And there are people whose heartwhose hearts are owned by
Christ.
And there was a fellow, he wasloved by a lot of people, as
they called him Bandito Rock.
One day he was just riding downthe road, not acting a fool.
When you're when you become abandito, you learn not to act a
fool.
(08:47):
His front tire hit a spot in theroad and it just pulled him off
the road.
He went down and got hit by twovehicles.
He was killed instantly.
He thought he had tomorrow.
He thought he had months, years.
I ride that bike and I know whenGod calls me, I ain't got no
more days.
Ron Meyers (09:08):
A lot of us we're we are planning tomorrow.
And the Bible says that enjoytoday because we don't know what
tomorrow will bring.
What wisdom would you share withsomebody listening that's just
living for today?
And you know what?
Jesus is in the rear viewmirror, it's not even in the
(09:30):
rear view mirror.
He's just nowhere in their life.
SPEAKER_05 (09:33):
All I could tell really is tomorrow is not
promised to us.
As a matter of fact, the next 10minutes is not promised to us.
You could hop on that bike, getin that car, and you think I'm
driving safe, I'm operating thisbike reasonably, but the enemy
is everywhere.
And if Jesus doesn't have you,who does?
(09:56):
And it's either or.
You think, oh, I am me, I ownmyself.
No, you don't.
Somebody owns you.
And they're going to do with youwhat they want.
Satan is going to make you sick,Satan is going to make you feel
bad.
(10:16):
Satan's going to infuriate youand make you say things that you
normally wouldn't say to aperson.
Somebody you care so very muchabout, you're going to say some
things to them that hurts.
Ron Meyers (10:33):
Now you say that almost like you know that for a
fact because that was your oldlife.
SPEAKER_05 (10:39):
That wasn't me.
Ron Meyers (10:40):
That was your old life.
SPEAKER_05 (10:41):
That wasn't me.
Wow.
You're a meanie.
I was.
Wow.
I try not to be.
Because it becomes so ingrained.
It's a drug.
I don't do drugs.
Ron Meyers (10:54):
Well, when when you can intimidate people with your
size and strength and yourvoice, it also kind of, I would
think, gives you a little bit ofpower.
That's the drug.
So then now tell us how does Mr.
Tough biker, Rick DeBiker, nowJesus turned you into a cupcake.
(11:18):
According to Ramona.
So what's life like with Jesusnow?
SPEAKER_05 (11:23):
Before, like I would tell people, there's nobody I
couldn't whip.
I knew how to f I learned how tofight, and when I was in the
army, I learned how to fight.
Before that, I was I was a wimpylittle kid.
I was bullied all the time.
Because of that, I learned howto fight in the army.
I learned how to defend myself.
I learned how to hurt people.
(11:45):
Jesus got a hold of me and hesays, I will repay.
Revenge is not for you.
Aggression is not for you.
I am the way, the truth, and thelight.
No one comes to the Father butthrough me, and I know you want
to see him.
(12:06):
Do you?
And I ask anybody out therewho's at all curious, who do you
want to see?
Do you want to see God theFather?
Do you want to see him on hiswhite throne angry?
Or do you want him to say,Welcome home, my son or my
daughter?
Ron Meyers (12:26):
Amen.
So you have a mission to tellpeople about Jesus.
Here's Rick the Biker.
I'll even have a few soundeffects.
We'll have the little bikegoing.
Have to put a little step inWolfan.
All right, do your thing.
And what do you got for methere, Mr.
(12:47):
Biker?
SPEAKER_05 (12:48):
I pointed one of my patches, and it says, Satan
sucks.
And it's not, it's not beingvulgar, but it's true.
He will pull money from you.
He will pull your health fromyou.
He will pull your very life fromyou.
(13:11):
Only Jesus will save you.
Come follow me.
We'll park somewhere and I'lltell you all about my Jesus.
Ron Meyers (13:20):
Yeah.
That's good.
That's good.
So how is life now?
You look you just seem so happy,and you and Ramona.
Uh she's your third wife.
Fourth.
She's your fourth.
My fourth wife.
My last wife.
Your last wife.
So you guys seem like you'rejust a marriage made in heaven.
SPEAKER_05 (13:43):
With Jesus in the middle of this marriage, it
cannot fail.
Ron Meyers (13:49):
Amen.

Almighty God.
You have your childrenlistening, but you also have
those who have not asked for theHoly Spirit to come into their

You offered to take their sinsfor them, to feel the pain that
we should feel because you tookit for us.
Please, O Lord, reach out tothem, call them, call them to
repentance, and call them tosalvation.

Those of you listening who havenot yet asked for Christ in your
heart, it's easy.
It doesn't cost you anything,but it does change your life.
It puts you on the track ofhappiness and love.
Almighty God, please, please,please reach out to these who

don't know you.
They might have been justdumbing through the internet or
on a radio.
Grab their ears, grab theirhearts, and change their lives
and give them life.
In Jesus' name I beg you,please, God.
Jesus Almighty, at the righthand of the Father, include this

into your intercessory prayersto God the Father.
You know what is needed.
Go to them, become real to them,and make them my brothers and
sisters.

You might not have a mother,father, brother, sister, or you

might have dozens, but this is aroyal family, and you will be a
prince or princess.

Wow.
What a conversation with Rick.
I love Rick.
And as I listened to Rick sharehis story, I couldn't stop
thinking about Randy.
Remember the biker I mentionedat the beginning?
Years ago, he confronted me in acrowded nightclub.
He towered over me.
(16:24):
He smelled of beer.
He looked angry.
He told me he could take meoutside and break me like a
matchstick.
And there wasn't a thing I coulddo.
I couldn't outrun him.
I couldn't outfight him.
So I silently prayed.
Lord, help me.
Then these three words came outof my mouth.
Not because I had planned them,not because I was trying to
(16:48):
preach.
They simply came from somewheredeep.
I looked at him and said, Godloves you.
Those three words changedeverything, my friend.
Instead of throwing a punch, hesmiled and said, Man, I'm going
to buy you a beer.
Later, I learned something Inever could have imagined.
(17:09):
Just months after thatencounter, Randy was diagnosed
with a terminal brain tumor.
His wife called, asking if RonMyers Productions would help
with a fundraiser for hismedical expenses.
Short time later, Randy passedaway.
And before he died, he acceptedJesus Christ as his savior.
You know what that reminds meof?
(17:31):
We almost never know whatsomeone else is carrying.
The angry person, the rudeperson, the biker, the homeless
man, the executive, thewaitress, the teenager.
Friends, everyone has a story.
And everyone is fighting abattle we can't see.
Rick reminded us that tomorrowisn't promised.
(17:52):
Randy reminded me that sometimesGod puts someone in our path for
just one reason to plant a seed.
Maybe that's why the Holy Spiritprompted those unexpected words.
God loves you.
I certainly didn't plan them,but God did.
Looking back now, I don'tbelieve that meeting was an
(18:14):
accident.
In fact, if you've listened tothis show for a while, it was
rigged.
God had planned it.
It was a divine appointment.
One of those moments where Godquietly reminds us He's always
working behind the scenes.
So what's the life lesson?
Well, here's what I hope you'llremember: don't let appearances
(18:35):
determine your compassion.
Some of the toughest lookingpeople are simply waiting for
someone to tell them God lovesyou.
Jesus never judged people bytheir appearance.
He looked past the leather, pastthe failures, past the
addictions, past the reputation.
He always saw the heart.
(18:57):
And that's exactly what he isasking us to do.
Here's Ron's next step.
This week, I want you to ask Godto help you see people the way
He sees them.
Pray this simple prayer.
Lord, let me see people throughyour eyes.
And if God gives you anopportunity, and I believe he

will, don't be afraid to speaklife into someone.
You never know.
Three simple words, God lovesyou, may become the seed that
changes someone's eternity.

So God is standing at the doorof every human heart, including
your heart.
And he says, if you open thedoor, he will come in and live
with you forever.
And then he says, I'll neverleave you, I'll never forsake
you.
Nobody can snatch you out of myhand.

And even when you're faithless,I remain faithful.
Those are incredible promises ofour God.
And how does this relationshipwith him really begin?
Well, we call upon Jesus Christ,putting our confidence in his
death, burial, and resurrection.
He died for your sins to takeyour sins away so that he could
(21:34):
remember your sins no more,keeping no record of your
wrongs.
And then he was raised from thedead to give you new
resurrection life, life thatendures forever, even beyond
your physical death.
So we're saved by the death,burial, and resurrection of
Jesus Christ.
(21:54):
And how does it all begin?
Call upon him, call upon thename of Jesus.
Open the door of your heart, andhe promises he'll come in and be
with you forever.

Because I was looking forsomebody to blame.

And she turned and looked at meright in the eyes and said,
Ricky, we killed Jesus.
That affected me.
Ron Meyers (03:41):
How old were you at that age, you think?
SPEAKER_05 (03:43):
About five.
Ron Meyers (03:45):
Wow.
That's a kind of a powerfulquestion to ask your mom at five
years old.
SPEAKER_05 (03:49):
Yeah, that people don't realize the effect that
Hollywood has on our families'lives for good and for evil.
Ron Meyers (04:00):
So did this begin a journey in your life that you
wanted to find out more aboutwho Jesus was?
SPEAKER_05 (04:07):
And it was that question almost was like I put
my hand up and God saw it andsaid, Okay, you want to know?
I got an answer for you.
And he dealt with me throughoutthe rest of my life until 2005,
right after Katrina, when I wasat this church and sitting next
(04:29):
to the woman that would be mythird wife, because the other
two had had gone on.
And I heard a voice and it said,Get up.
But it was even softer thanthat.
I turned and I looked at her andI said, What did you say?
She's I didn't say nothing.
She wasn't even singing.
It was during the the the partwhere they were they were
(04:50):
singing a lot of gospel songs.
It was beautiful.
But she wasn't singing, she wasjust listening.
And then I heard it again.
Get up.
And I turned around, there wasnobody around behind me.
I'm getting just pulled into it,you know.
And I felt something on my arm,and I looked and there's nothing
there.
And I'm thinking, better get up.
(05:11):
And I turned to her and I say,Amy, I'm guess I'm going up to
the altar.
Okay.
So up I get, and I walk up tothe altar.
I understand, Ron.
Thirty-five years I've been abiker.
You don't show any emotionexcept for maybe anger and
joyment.
(05:32):
You don't show tears.
That's weakness.
You might cry for a brother thatthat went down, that died.
You might cry for his family,but that's it.
Ron Meyers (05:44):
So you're Mr.
Tough Macho Rick the Bikersitting in church, and you hear
a voice, a quiet voice, thatsays to stand up, but you kind
of fight that, but finally youstood up.
Did you go to the altar?
SPEAKER_05 (05:57):
I went to the altar before I hit my knees.
Ron Meyers (06:02):
Sounds like you ran into Jesus at that altar.
SPEAKER_05 (06:05):
I did.
The Holy Spirit was therewaiting on me.
They say, they say Jesus, Jesusis a gentleman.
God's a gentleman.
God is sovereign.
He is the master of all.
He is the king of the universe.
He made it, he owns it, he ownsus, whether we like it or not.
(06:27):
He called me to that altar.
Ron Meyers (06:30):
So that day you had a date with destiny.
Yes, sir.
Destiny was knocking on the doorand about to change your life
forever.
Now, this was in 2005, rightafter Katrina.
So what was the change?
What happened to Rick the biker?
SPEAKER_05 (06:50):
My stone heart became flush.
Ron Meyers (06:53):
Yeah, the Bible says he gives us a new heart.
SPEAKER_05 (06:57):
He certainly did that to me.
He certainly did.
I had been told that I was agood man.
You're a good person.
You you do nice things forpeople.
I also did a lot of horriblethings to people because of the
life that I was living.
Now I'm ashamed of what I usedto be, but I hit my knees
(07:20):
because what Jesus made me.
Because if not for God's HolySpirit, they'd have found me
under a bridge under I-10 dead,either because of something I
put up my nose or in my arm, andI'd have been alone, utterly
alone, because the Holy Spiritwouldn't have been with me.
I would not have been known toGod, and I wouldn't want to have
(07:43):
been known to God.
Ron Meyers (07:45):
But there are a lot of people listening and say,
well, that guy, that was justhis time.
You know what?
I'm enjoying life right now, andI don't have God in my life, and
I'm having fun.
I'm going down the road with myhair blowing on my motorcycle,
and I don't have Jesus.
So, you know, what's the bigdeal?
SPEAKER_05 (08:05):
The big deal is time is getting short.
And it's getting shorter.
You think you got tomorrow?
There was a fellow, and ifthere's any banditos listening,
and I'm sure there is, becausethere are some believers in the
banditos.
It is a secular club, but thereare people with heart in that
(08:27):
club.
And there are people whose heartwhose hearts are owned by
Christ.
And there was a fellow, he wasloved by a lot of people, as
they called him Bandito Rock.
One day he was just riding downthe road, not acting a fool.
When you're when you become abandito, you learn not to act a
fool.
(08:47):
His front tire hit a spot in theroad and it just pulled him off
the road.
He went down and got hit by twovehicles.
He was killed instantly.
He thought he had tomorrow.
He thought he had months, years.
I ride that bike and I know whenGod calls me, I ain't got no
more days.
Ron Meyers (09:08):
A lot of us we're we are planning tomorrow.
And the Bible says that enjoytoday because we don't know what
tomorrow will bring.
What wisdom would you share withsomebody listening that's just
living for today?
And you know what?
Jesus is in the rear viewmirror, it's not even in the
(09:30):
rear view mirror.
He's just nowhere in their life.
SPEAKER_05 (09:33):
All I could tell really is tomorrow is not
promised to us.
As a matter of fact, the next 10minutes is not promised to us.
You could hop on that bike, getin that car, and you think I'm
driving safe, I'm operating thisbike reasonably, but the enemy
is everywhere.
And if Jesus doesn't have you,who does?
(09:56):
And it's either or.
You think, oh, I am me, I ownmyself.
No, you don't.
Somebody owns you.
And they're going to do with youwhat they want.
Satan is going to make you sick,Satan is going to make you feel
bad.
(10:16):
Satan's going to infuriate youand make you say things that you
normally wouldn't say to aperson.
Somebody you care so very muchabout, you're going to say some
things to them that hurts.
Ron Meyers (10:33):
Now you say that almost like you know that for a
fact because that was your oldlife.
SPEAKER_05 (10:39):
That wasn't me.
Ron Meyers (10:40):
That was your old life.
SPEAKER_05 (10:41):
That wasn't me.
Wow.
You're a meanie.
I was.
Wow.
I try not to be.
Because it becomes so ingrained.
It's a drug.
I don't do drugs.
Ron Meyers (10:54):
Well, when when you can intimidate people with your
size and strength and yourvoice, it also kind of, I would
think, gives you a little bit ofpower.
That's the drug.
So then now tell us how does Mr.
Tough biker, Rick DeBiker, nowJesus turned you into a cupcake.
(11:18):
According to Ramona.
So what's life like with Jesusnow?
SPEAKER_05 (11:23):
Before, like I would tell people, there's nobody I
couldn't whip.
I knew how to f I learned how tofight, and when I was in the
army, I learned how to fight.
Before that, I was I was a wimpylittle kid.
I was bullied all the time.
Because of that, I learned howto fight in the army.
I learned how to defend myself.
I learned how to hurt people.
(11:45):
Jesus got a hold of me and hesays, I will repay.
Revenge is not for you.
Aggression is not for you.
I am the way, the truth, and thelight.
No one comes to the Father butthrough me, and I know you want
to see him.
(12:06):
Do you?
And I ask anybody out therewho's at all curious, who do you
want to see?
Do you want to see God theFather?
Do you want to see him on hiswhite throne angry?
Or do you want him to say,Welcome home, my son or my
daughter?
Ron Meyers (12:26):
Amen.
So you have a mission to tellpeople about Jesus.
Here's Rick the Biker.
I'll even have a few soundeffects.
We'll have the little bikegoing.
Have to put a little step inWolfan.
All right, do your thing.
And what do you got for methere, Mr.

Biker?
SPEAKER_05 (12:48):
I pointed one of my patches, and it says, Satan
sucks.
And it's not, it's not beingvulgar, but it's true.
He will pull money from you.
He will pull your health fromyou.
He will pull your very life fromyou.
(13:11):
Only Jesus will save you.
Come follow me.
We'll park somewhere and I'lltell you all about my Jesus.
Ron Meyers (13:20):
Yeah.
That's good.
That's good.
So how is life now?
You look you just seem so happy,and you and Ramona.
Uh she's your third wife.
Fourth.
She's your fourth.
My fourth wife.
My last wife.
Your last wife.
So you guys seem like you'rejust a marriage made in heaven.
SPEAKER_05 (13:43):
With Jesus in the middle of this marriage, it
cannot fail.
Ron Meyers (13:49):
Amen.
Before we go, can I get you topray for the listeners right

Anyone that is listening tothis, Rick the Biker, alias

Almighty God.
You have your childrenlistening, but you also have
those who have not asked for theHoly Spirit to come into their
heart.
They are not yet your family,they might think they are.
But I also know that you lovethem so very much.

You went to the cross for them.
You offered to take their sinsfor them, to feel the pain that
we should feel because you tookit for us.
Please, O Lord, reach out tothem, call them, call them to
repentance, and call them tosalvation.

Those of you listening who havenot yet asked for Christ in your
heart, it's easy.
It doesn't cost you anything,but it does change your life.
It puts you on the track ofhappiness and love.
Almighty God, please, please,please reach out to these who

don't know you.
They might have been justdumbing through the internet or
on a radio.
Grab their ears, grab theirhearts, and change their lives
and give them life.
In Jesus' name I beg you,please, God.
Jesus Almighty, at the righthand of the Father, include this

into your intercessory prayersto God the Father.
You know what is needed.
Go to them, become real to them,and make them my brothers and
sisters.

might have dozens, but this is aroyal family, and you will be a

What a conversation with Rick.
I love Rick.
And as I listened to Rick sharehis story, I couldn't stop
thinking about Randy.
Remember the biker I mentionedat the beginning?
Years ago, he confronted me in acrowded nightclub.
He towered over me.
(16:24):
He smelled of beer.
He looked angry.
He told me he could take meoutside and break me like a
matchstick.
And there wasn't a thing I coulddo.
I couldn't outrun him.
I couldn't outfight him.
So I silently prayed.
Lord, help me.
Then these three words came outof my mouth.
Not because I had planned them,not because I was trying to
(16:48):
preach.
They simply came from somewheredeep.
I looked at him and said, Godloves you.
Those three words changedeverything, my friend.
Instead of throwing a punch, hesmiled and said, Man, I'm going
to buy you a beer.
Later, I learned something Inever could have imagined.
(17:09):
Just months after thatencounter, Randy was diagnosed
with a terminal brain tumor.
His wife called, asking if RonMyers Productions would help
with a fundraiser for hismedical expenses.
Short time later, Randy passedaway.
And before he died, he acceptedJesus Christ as his savior.
You know what that reminds meof?
(17:31):
We almost never know whatsomeone else is carrying.
The angry person, the rudeperson, the biker, the homeless
man, the executive, thewaitress, the teenager.
Friends, everyone has a story.
And everyone is fighting abattle we can't see.
Rick reminded us that tomorrowisn't promised.
(17:52):
Randy reminded me that sometimesGod puts someone in our path for
just one reason to plant a seed.
Maybe that's why the Holy Spiritprompted those unexpected words.
God loves you.
I certainly didn't plan them,but God did.
Looking back now, I don'tbelieve that meeting was an
(18:14):
accident.
In fact, if you've listened tothis show for a while, it was
rigged.
God had planned it.
It was a divine appointment.
One of those moments where Godquietly reminds us He's always
working behind the scenes.
So what's the life lesson?
Well, here's what I hope you'llremember: don't let appearances
(18:35):
determine your compassion.
Some of the toughest lookingpeople are simply waiting for
someone to tell them God lovesyou.
Jesus never judged people bytheir appearance.
He looked past the leather, pastthe failures, past the
addictions, past the reputation.
He always saw the heart.
(18:57):
And that's exactly what he isasking us to do.
Here's Ron's next step.
This week, I want you to ask Godto help you see people the way
He sees them.
Pray this simple prayer.
Lord, let me see people throughyour eyes.
And if God gives you anopportunity, and I believe he
(19:20):
will, don't be afraid to speaklife into someone.
You never know.
Three simple words, God lovesyou, may become the seed that
changes someone's eternity.

We're in his lineage, we havehis spiritual heritage.

And so salvation is calling uponthe name of the Lord.
And when we do, well, we'reasking God to take us out of
Adam and put us in Christ.
The Bible says that whosoeverbelieves in him will receive
everlasting life.
It says we're saved by gracethrough faith.
It's not of ourselves, it's agift of God, so that nobody can

brag about it.
So God is standing at the doorof every human heart, including
your heart.
And he says, if you open thedoor, he will come in and live
with you forever.
And then he says, I'll neverleave you, I'll never forsake
you.
Nobody can snatch you out of myhand.
(21:12):
And even when you're faithless,I remain faithful.
Those are incredible promises ofour God.
And how does this relationshipwith him really begin?
Well, we call upon Jesus Christ,putting our confidence in his
death, burial, and resurrection.
He died for your sins to takeyour sins away so that he could
(21:34):
remember your sins no more,keeping no record of your
wrongs.
And then he was raised from thedead to give you new
resurrection life, life thatendures forever, even beyond
your physical death.
So we're saved by the death,burial, and resurrection of
Jesus Christ.
(21:54):
And how does it all begin?
Call upon him, call upon thename of Jesus.
Open the door of your heart, andhe promises he'll come in and be
with you forever.

Not into religion, but into apersonal relationship.
Not into fear, but into freedom.
Not into condemnation, but intograce.
