Speaker 1 (00:00):
It seems like you have three guys really in motor
I know Cam's young isn't done a lot yet, but
what you did in college and Tyrone that can kind
of check all the boxes running backs right, they can
catch it, they can pass protect, they can run between
the tackles, they growing outside. Is it unique to have
three guys that can kind of do a little bit
of everything, all in the same room together.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
I would say when you get to this level, you know,
when you talking about the NFL, I think it's it's
not uncommon actually, because most of the guys that get
to this level, we're able to play at this level,
they have to be able to do those things, you know,
that's part of the requirement. If you can't, you usually
find your way out of the NFL at some point. So,
but to your point, we do have a group of
guys that can do a lot of different things, and
it's up to us as a staff to figure out
(00:38):
try to figure out what those specialties are that they
can do and how they can help us, and we'll
evaluate all that stuff and get there when.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
We get what are they going to be opponent based
based on? Is that a lot of them going to
be opponent based on what's going to work against a
particular opponent each week, what each guy excells that in
terms of how you mix and match their usage weekend
week out.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
It could be opponent base, but it could also just
be a feel for what we're asking, what we ask
them to do in our own You know, what is
their skill set, what is their strengths, what are their weaknesses,
and we try to put each guy in the position
to where they can be successful because the end of the day,
it's about helping the team win. So that's that's what
we're trying to do.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
Well.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
Now, this is gonna sound like a silly question, but
given the way offensive women are more athletic, given the
way defensive lineman or more athletic, has it changed the
approach for a running back, how they hit the hole,
how they view things, has anything changed about the job?
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Not really. I wouldn't.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
I wouldn't say that because at the end of the day,
it's still about being tough and it's still about your vision.
I think running backs have to have vision and be
able to anticipate and see the whole back the day.
They gotta be tough too. They have to be tough.
You're gonna get hit from everybody from all different angles,
and so that really hasn't changed much. The speed of
the game has changed, so you gotta maybe hit the
whole a little bit quicker, to your point, but it's
(01:47):
still it's still football.
