Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wendale. I got to tell you, obviously, spectacular game for you,
but I know how you feel because loss is still
a loss, and I'm sure that's not a consolation.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
No, not at all. It would have been nice to
have to win out and on top of that, But
now I really don't care too much about how the
game personally went because of the loss.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
So could you describe the flea flicker as we saw
it developed? You certainly got behind the defense and that
had to take slow motion as that ball was coming
down here.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Yeah, it definitely felt like the ball was taking a
little bit to come down. But we've been practicing that
play for about two weeks and it was felt like
it was the perfect time to call it on that
third and one more on our on the plus side
of the fifty. So great call by Calf and great execution.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
It wasn't the only trick play that we saw today.
What does that tell you about Mike Kafka as a
head coach and as a play caller to pull those
things out.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
I mean, he's aggressive. He told us that he's going
to be aggressive. He believes in us and estess on
the offensive side of the football, just the way we practiced,
and I think that just that's him know that we
can go out there and be aggressive and he believes
in everything that we do.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Did you know you were going to be such a
significant part of the game plan going into this week?

Speaker 2 (01:07):
I mean, yeah, we knew that they were going to
try and play a little bit of a lot of
man and I felt like I could get open. So
just you know, Jamis trusted me, and me trusting jamis
just going out there and getting open.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
They come back and rally, and we've seen other teams
rally in the fourth quarter against the Giants all season long,
and then they get the go ahead score. How difficult
is it to get the Gears going again on that
last drive, knowing that you need the touchdown to continue
the game.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
I mean, it's not difficult at all. At end of
the day. As a competitor, you want to go out
there and you want to go out there and do that.
I was just more so sick that I was just
getting double team at that point during the game and
I couldn't really go out there and make a play
too much
