Jesus tells a very powerful parable in Luke chapter 12 about a man who had so much stuff, he didn’t know what to do with it all.  He is a picture essentially of someone who had about as much as this life would offer in material things, and yet God proclaimed him to be a fool.  Today we examine all of the different aspects of this man’s character & focus to determine why God viewed him as He did.

Our Youth Programs kicked off the new year this Sunday night, so we had an abbreviated service in the Sanctuary.  However, I hold the belief that the quantity of words means little, while the content means everything.  For example, with 14 words the eternity of a jailer and his family was forever changed in Philippi 2,000 years ago.

In this message we examine the question ‘What Was In Paul?’.  What was it that made Paul ... Read more

The Book of Ruth is a wonderful story of Redemption.  But if you were to look closely at it, it’s as much or more of the story about Naomi – Ruth’s mother-in-law, than it is about Ruth.  In her story we see the reality of sin and the ramifications of sin – but thanks be to God, we can also see Redemption FROM sin!

Join us today as we examine the Grace and Providence of God in 'Naomi’s Story'

In Ezekiel 33, we see God giving that prophet instruction on the duties of the watchmen.  How the watchmen were supposed to look for threats, and when identified, they were to blow the trumpet to warn their fellow man of the imminent danger they were in.  Then, God tells Ezekiel that’s his responsibility unto the children of Israel.

However, when we examine the duties of the watchmen, we can see so many more ways th... Read more

Today we examine one of the several times that the children of Israel sinned against God during their Wilderness wanderings.  In it we find a wonderful picture of God’s Judgment upon Sin, a repentant people, a Mighty Mediator, and finally, a God given remedy displaying His Great Mercy upon sinners.  Thank God for His Mercy!

The epistle of Titus is in actuality a letter that Paul wrote unto a preacher that he’d led unto Christ named Titus.  Paul had left Titus in Crete and gave him charge of the churches to finish establishing them and set pastors in each one.

And so in this letter we find Paul giving this young preacher instructions on how to guide the churches there. This is important because it sheds much light on what behaviours... Read more

In today’s message, we look at a special relationship between two prophets of God – Elijah & Elisha.  God had called Elisha to be the prophet to take Elijah’s place once he left this world.  God also called Elijah to seek out his protégé, take him under his Spiritual wing, and lead him in the things of God.

Because both these men followed the plan God had for their lives, He was able to do miraculous things in t... Read more

Elisha was a great prophet of God who was used by God in magnificent ways.  One day the king of Syria had sent a great host of horses, chariots & men to surround the city of Dothan where the prophet and his servant were at.

Of course, upon seeing this, Elisha’s servant was deeply distressed… but by the time the dust settled, the LORD had brought a grand deliverance to his people, the enemy was subdued and the s... Read more

God has a way of illuminating truth through illustration.  One illustration that’s used over again in the New Testament concerning the Christian life is to compare it to a race.  Now when we really start to study all the implications of that, it illuminates some great truths that can help us stay faithful unto the things of God, if we’ll give ear unto them.

Please join us for the message titled ‘The Only Race that Matters’... Read more

As Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

The prophet Ezekiel was a great man of God in a desperate time.  But many of the things that faced the prophet 2,500 years ago, are very much the same types of obstacles and issues that we face today.  ... Read more

This message addresses something that is sorely lacking in the church today and that is Praising the LORD of Glory.

It saddens me when I see so many other ‘so called’ churches perverting the notion of what Biblical Praise & Worship really is, and we for some reason tend to shy away from truly giving God the proper Praise & Worship that He rightly deserves.

So today we examine Psa. 100 in the mes... Read more

Today’s message deals with Investing your Treasures.  All too often, Christians are going about their day to day lives doing, but typically there’s nothing much Spiritually taking place.  They are wandering around in a Spiritual slumber.  They allow the things of this world to get in the way of their service to God.  This I’m sure isn’t intentional, but it happens none-the-less.

This message will challeng... Read more

In Acts 10 the Gospel is introduced to the Gentiles, initially to a man named Cornelius.  The thing about Cornelius is that he was a very religious man.  The Bible says that he was 'devout, feared God, gave alms and prayed always' – but the truth is that it wasn’t enough.

Religion alone can’t save you.  It can’t wash away your sins or get you to Heaven – only the Gospel can.  BUT even the... Read more

In the previous message we examined the ‘Mindset of Great Servants of God’, but then that begs the question – what does that really look like?  What is it that Great men & women of God actually do?

If you desire to do Great Things for God – I encourage you to continue with us as we present to you this message titled ‘The Methods of Great Servants of God’

Something to ponder: What does your Methods... Read more

The apostle Paul stated in Romans 12:2 (to) 'be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…'

This is a powerful statement, for what the mind is focused upon, the body will perform.

Most Christians would like to do Great Things for God, they'd like to make an Eternal Impact for the cause of Christ – so then why more often than not they live a life of S... Read more

David sinned greatly in the sight of the LORD, so God sent Nathan to open David's eyes to his sin. But the choice still remained for David to either continue to excuse or cover up his sin, or acknowledge his sin & seek restoration of his fellowship, joy & peace.

What reaction to the truth will you have?

In Gen. 35, God calls Jacob to go to Beth-el to dwell.  The reason was that if was the place where Jacob was introduced to the God of Heaven, where Jacob vowed unto God, and where Jacob turned his pillow into a pillar unto God.

Oftentimes God will call his children to get back to a place where they were before, because this world has a way of causing separation between the Christian and His God.

What would you do to ... Read more

The Centurion in Luke 7 was a Roman gentile - stranger from the promises of God, but the manner in which he viewed Jesus gave cause for Jesus to not only answer his prayer, but praise his faith above those to whom the promise was given.

In this episode we examine what it was about this Godly Centurion that warranted such recognition by the LORD.
