Performing under my artist alias Jay Kobo, this is my contribution to this year’s Illogic Summer Fest, hosted by Illogic Radio in Rome, Italy this past Tuesday. Inspired by the iconic pandemic-era video of an Italian DJ lifting spirits by playing Alice Deejay – Better Off Alone from his balcony which started off a chain of "balcony raves" around the globe during lock downs, I crafted this set as an emotional homage to that powerful moment of resilience, and connection.
The mix is a celebration of unity, love, and peace—opening with vocal trance and timeless uplifting anthems that evoke the warm, carefree energy of late summer, then building into a driving techno finale with full-on “let’s rave” energy. Massive thanks to the Illogic crew for the opportunity! This set starts at 140 BPM ends at 150 BPM.
