Speaker 1 (00:00):
You know, jack asked a question in our podcast notes
of were there any moments whereyou wanted to quit?
To me, quitting was never anoption in this and the reason
why or what kept me going isthat I made the commitment to do
the program and to complete theprogram and if I were to break

(00:22):
that promise to myself, then Ican break a promise to anybody.
If I can't keep my owncommitment that I made, then you
know any commitment that Iwould make to anybody else.
Why the hell would I pushthrough and make sure that that
happens?

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Welcome back to the Go All In podcast.
I'm Jake Fine.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
And I'm Braxton Cave.
In today's episode, we're goingto be discussing life updates
75 hard progress and lessonslearned so far in 2025.
And I always like to start withthe struggle or what's been
difficult and for me we're onday 35, 75 hard, and the biggest

(01:23):
challenge I've ran into so farthis year has been sleep
deprivation.
And, uh, you know, sleep isalways the first thing to go on
the back burner for me.
Um, you know, when the day getsbusy and stuff's going on, you
know, I just and a lot of it'smy own fault, right, I will, I

(01:44):
will set up my day to where, ifthings are going, I'll kind of
push some stuff off.
And you know, I know that I'll,I'll have time to get to them.
But in time to get to themalways leads to less sleep.
But a cool thing that I got toshout out here is, um, a shout
out to my dear friend KellyCreevey, um Kelly, um, a shout

(02:05):
out to my dear friend KellyCreevey, um Kelly, dear friend
of our family.
She actually is married to mycousin Connor.
Kelly's like the the true Northof all things health for our,
for our friend group, and youknow she's does an amazing job
of researching all things healthrelated.
She's our go-to and anything'sgoing on.
We're like, well, what wouldKelly do in this situation?

(02:26):
And you know we happened to bein a charity event the other
night and Kelly was there and Iwas kind of talking to her about
how I still had to go home atthe end of the night and get my
second workout in and she wasbusting me so hard over it.
And to me that's good.
I need that.
I need the people in my lifethat will call me out on the

(02:48):
things that I'm letting slip, that actually have a huge impact
.
And that's just that's been oneof my biggest challenges so far
this year is, you know, doingall the things that I want to do
that are going to get me towhere I want to be, but
prioritizing the things thatalso have high impact on my life
.
And sleep's a big one.

(03:09):
You know talked about it before.
I mean, you know, six hours haskind of been my sweet spot.
You know, I would love to geteight.
I'm striving for eight.
I just I haven't figured out away yet to implement that what
if that was an added task in 75hard?

Speaker 2 (03:29):
that'd be, I mean how many people would fail?
A lot yeah, because I can justhop on your back with this one,
because I'm the same, becauseobviously I get up early and you
know there's been a couplenights that I only got three
hours of sleep and you know what.
The body didn't feel like it.

(03:49):
But I know deep down insideit's not healthy, right, and you
can only do it for so long.
Exactly.
It puts a toll on you and yourbody needs to recover.
But when, yeah, when I don'tget the full amount of sleep, it
doesn't I feel.
I don't feel the effects of it,but I know in the long run I
will.
But my mind does not shut off,you know that's the big thing.

(04:12):
But yeah, I'm with you on thatabout pushing my stuff back
because I know I have the timeto do it.
You know, because 315 alarmcomes pretty quick, comes pretty
quick and uh, yeah, like I hadan event this last weekend and
those were a couple days thatwere test, that tested me and

(04:33):
getting everything accomplishedand done and not getting to bed
until like 1 am and then havingto do it all over again, even
though it was on a weekend.
I did get my sleep in but Istill had to get up.
You know, four to five hoursfrom when I went to bed Still
not enough sleep.
You know, I think that is a big, you know, struggle for a lot
of people and I know we're notthe only ones that deal with

(04:56):
that.
Right, you know, because I feellike you know you hear this
I'll sleep when I'm dead.
You know, no, sleep is very youknow eight hours is it is
needed.
You know you.
Just you're going to get tothat dead point a lot sooner,
exactly.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
So but yeah, I mean, you know, staying on the subject
of the struggle you know I'vehad.
You know, you and I we callthese test days, and I've had
two major test days in the first35 days of uh, 75 hard.
And the first one was, you know, a day where you know work,
things got, things got out ofcontrol and you know they pile

(05:40):
up and you know tinker, some hotissues, and I didn't get home
until around 7 pm and still needto get my second workout in my
reading in and then comeactually coming here to record a
podcast episode.
And you know it's again one ofthose moments where I'm like 7
pm I have so many things that Istill need to get done.

(06:01):
What happens?
Neglect, sleep, yep, and so youknow you end up pushing through
and getting it done but youdon't realize the long-term
effect maybe that that's goingto have.
And so my second one was justthis last week.
You know I've been battling asinus infection for like the

(06:22):
last four weeks.
You know, having the kids inschool, they bring everything
home.
You know it kind of ran throughthe house.
My wife had it, the kids havehad it.
I was able to fend it off, youknow, for the last four weeks,
battling it a little bit butfending it off, and then finally
, my body was like enough'senough, probably because of lack
of sleep.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Right.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
And so you know it was.
I spiked a 102 fever and felthorrible and you know so I had
to pivot to doing a couple ofrucks every day, not lifting,
trying to not strain my body asmuch as possible, and you know,

(07:04):
this is where, you know, my wifeis like babe, you need to rest.
That's very difficult for me,you know, and that part of that
is, you know, I've I've made acommitment to doing the program,
and so you know what I do.
I had to restructure what mydaily looks like.

(07:26):
You know, I pivoted to the tworucks.
I did that three days in a row.
I had our lady come over andgive me a vitamin IV, hit me
with the zinc glutathione, a B12shot and, uh, you know, a day
later I'm feeling great back.
Um, but a lot of that was, yeah, not just the vitamins and

(07:46):
getting that in, but those, youknow, three days of prioritizing
rest and not overtaxing my body.
I think it was a reset that Ineeded, and so those were, you
know, a couple of those testperiods where, you know, had I
not been on the program, Iwouldn't have done it.

(08:07):
And so this is where I lovethat.
The program will challenge youto push through things, even
when you don't want to, and soyou know some people will look
at you and be like, well, you'rejust, you're an idiot.
Like you're just doing things toyour body that are making you
worse off than you would.
But to me, no.
Mentally I proved to myselfthat, regardless of what was

(08:30):
going on, I could push throughthat and still do the things
that I need to accomplish, andso to me that was a win.
Coming out of those test daysand I know you've had a couple
as well- yeah, you know, firstof all, I prioritize a day
before.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
I plan out this is what I'm doing, this is what I'm
wearing.
You know everything's plannedthe day before.
Every day doesn't go as planned.
Um, you're going to run into alot of things.
You know, I ran into things inmy full-time job and you know,
obviously there's a lot ofpeople out sick and, uh, you
have to step in and do their joband your job.

(09:10):
And you know it's just beingshorthanded where I'm at and
just you know work is picking up, it's starting to get busy.
It's just, you know, takinginitiative and you know, just
you know, one foot in front ofthe other, just do it, get it
done.
And you know figure it out asyou.
You know get to your next.

(09:31):
You know steps of your tasksand but yeah, that I'm the same
way, oh, I can.
You know, get to your next.
You know steps or your tasksand but yeah, that I'm the same
way, oh, I can.
You know I have this time to dothat.
I'll just push my sleep timeback and you know that's the it.

(09:52):
It's building up your mentalityto push through those.
You know hiccups and stuff yourun into, but I mean you
persevered through it and nowit's a new day to do it again
and, like I said, you don't knowwhat's going to happen that day
and that's what you know.
Doing the program prioritizingis huge for me and I feel like

(10:15):
that's the main thing it teachesyou.
I feel like if you want to winthe day and kill this program
and beat it, I think that's themain thing you need to do is
prioritizing and preparing.
But yeah, I didn't get sick.
I have in the past and a coupleones I did before, but yeah,

(10:40):
it's just getting through.
You know, listen, your body's awonderful thing, man.
It gives you little signalsthat like, okay, something's not
right and you know you can bestubborn all you want and it's
going to be like no, I'm takingyou down, you need to stop and
you need to rest.
Um, but yeah, listen to yourbody.
But you, you made a commitment, you figure it out and you, um,

(11:01):
you push through.
You know, doing the rucks, taking it easy on your body, not
straining it.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Um, it gets the job done.
But, yeah, yeah, I think I'mwant to go back to.
You know, it wasn't the fact ofdoing the task, it was the fact
of proving to myself that Icould push through and
accomplish what I had committedto.
And so, you know, Jack asked aquestion in our podcast notes of
were there any moments whereyou wanted to quit?

(11:36):
To me, quitting was never anoption in this, and the reason
why, or what kept me going isthat I made the commitment to do
the program and to complete theprogram.
And if I were to break thatpromise to myself, then I can
break a promise to anybody.
If I can't keep my owncommitment that I made, then you

(12:00):
know, any commitment that Iwould make to anybody else, why
the hell would I push throughand make sure that that happens?
And so you know, the the ideaof committing to the end and
proving yourself right, you know, continues to shine through in
a lot of these aspects thatwe're talking about.

(12:20):
What about life?

Speaker 2 (12:23):
How's life?

Speaker 1 (12:24):
going Jake.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Well, it's punches are thrown at me every day.
It feels like that's the thingthat benefits from this program
too.
It keeps me locked in, um,cause, like I, you know, I've
I've said I've mentioned beforeto you, you know, every day is
not a not a good day and, um,I'm prepared for anything can

(12:49):
happen and I've from before howI used to be'd freak out, you
know.
But now I'm like you know, Itake that little step back and
take a second and I monitor thesituation and, uh, let it
marinate a little bit and um,yeah, it's figuring it out.
Basically, but with you know, with the brand and all that, you

(13:11):
know, I'm trying to make itgrow, trying to scale it.
It's just, uh, that, on top ofdoing this, this helps me out
with you know, with my brand, alot, and that's why I'm glad
starting the year off right withthis to get you, you know,
going in the right direction.
But this, you know, like I said, this helps me a lot with
building my brand and with thestuff I run across with the

(13:36):
apparel, and I've had issueswith shipping and stuff not
going the way when it's made forme or if I make it, and people
having issues and it's like youknow, I obviously take care of
the customer first, but it also,I feel like it makes me look
like a bad person because I gaveyou a shitty quality product,

(13:59):
you know.
But make it right and you know, figure it out and fix it from
there.
I've had it happen a few timesand it's like, thankfully is the
same person which I was likeare you kidding me?
But took care of her and, um,we should be good from here on
out, figure it out the issue andyeah, like I said, it's

(14:19):
figuring it out and putting itto work and going on from there
and making sure it doesn'thappen again.
That's what I love about thisprogram, man it keeps you your
mentality, you are locked in.
And I told Jackie like after thesecond time, I think no, it was
probably the first one I did.
I'm like very OCD and I noticedeverything.
Like I told her.
I said, no, it was probably thefirst one I did.

(14:39):
I'm like very OCD and I noticedeverything.
Like I told her.
I said, dude, I could bewalking on the street and I see,
oh, there's a screw, grab it,you know.
Because I think about, oh, thiscould go in someone's tire or
something like that.
It's just crazy what your mindgoes through during this.
And because I've had voices,I've told her.

(15:02):
I've had voices, I've told her,I've had voices, you know,
competing in my head like, whyare you doing this?
You know you're like in alittle battle with the, the
bitch voice in your head, butit's just I.
I love this program.
I love starting.
I'm glad we did this and Ithink it's just a regular thing
to start the year off right withit every year.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
Yeah, um, so well, I mean to go back to you know the
way that it makes you feel whenyou know maybe quality is not
right or something's going onwith the brand, like the only
reason you get upset is becauseyou care oh yeah, that's a big
part, it's not, uh yeah you know, worrying about you and
yourself and your image.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
You care about the customer you care about them
spending their hard-earned moneyright on my stuff what the
brand represents and so whenthings don't go right, you take
that personally.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
You know for me a couple, you know life updates
and you know I talked about thestruggles or challenges, but I
did have a major win last week.
I won't use his name because Idon't know if he would want to
be, you know, called out, but helistens.
I don't know if he would wantto be called out, but I had a
buddy of mine who used to workon my team.

(16:04):
It's been probably six yearsnow.
He called me Thursday night asI was driving home from an event
and I was actually on the otherline with Natalie and I was
like, oh man, so-and-so iscalling me.
I got to take this call.
Uh, we talked for like 20minutes and he called me to tell

(16:26):
me how much I he had listenedto the podcast or heard the clip
on instagram talking about the143 and setting the alarm on
your phone to the reminder tocall uh, the reminder that I set
on my phone to call my wife andtell her that I love her and
check in.
And he was like man, youinspired me and I started.

(16:47):
I've started doing that and hegoes at first.
My wife was like why are youtexting me at the same time
every day, like she thought itwas weird and something was
going on and and uh.
But he's like man, it's been soimpactful and I just I, it lit
me up.
I mean I was, I couldn't.
I told him you made my nightman.
I'm so thankful that you tookthe time to call me and reach

(17:08):
out and it's just a reminder ofyou never know.
You know who you're going toimpact and, again, continuing to
be transparent on the thingsthat either we struggle with or
things we found that work for us, bringing those to light and
sharing those.
You never know who you're goingto help and what kind of impact
you're going to have onsomeone's life, and so that was

(17:30):
a really cool moment.
It was a reminder to me of likeyou're doing the right things.
Just keep going and spread themessage.
And some things resonate morewith some people than others,
but even if he's the only onethat that impacted, it was worth
it.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
That's why I enjoy doing this, the podcast, because
you don't know.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
Right.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
Because I've sent I don't know, I sent to you a
picture Like Kuwait, how manycountries We've had, countries
that we've never had listenedbefore, and I was like what the
hell?
So it's like this is not just, you know, in the States it's all
over and that's I'm like dude.
Technology is amazing, you know, and that's why I enjoy doing

(18:15):
this is putting that little birdin their ears, man, and look
what it has done.
You know, that's a good, goodcall to get man.
That just that just pushes youto do okay, doing the right
thing.
Let's just keep, let's justkeep this ball rolling.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
yeah, you know, and then, uh, as far as lessons
learned through 2025, I thinkone thing that's been really
impactful is Natalie and I havebeen having some intentional
conversation lately of like usneeding to recommit to our focus
on each other.
And you know, through the first, you know, little over a month

(18:51):
of the year, you know we've hada lot going on at home and with
the kids and we traditionallyhave always done a weekly date
night just the two of us andjust a time for us to reconnect
and get out of the house, andand we have really failed at
that so far this year, and soher and I had date night last

(19:13):
night and on the drive home itwas like, hey, we've been off,
we need to to, you know recenterourselves, get back to you know
us being us and doing our thing, and so it was good just to
reset and refocus and I'm gladthat we're on the same page with
that.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
I'm about to say that .

Speaker 1 (19:32):
And you know it truly is just being intentional and
carving out that time and makingsure that it's on the calendar,
because we both of us, us liveand die by the calendar.
If it's not there, it doesn't,it doesn't exist.
Yeah, and so you know beingintentional, you know she's
number one for me.
You know a lot of people end upputting their kids first and in

(19:55):
their marriage.
Second, and that just doesn'twork in the long run.
And so, as long as her and Iare on the same page and we're
rocking and rolling, life seemsto kind of just fall into place
the way it should.
And so, getting back to ourweekly date night and
intentional time with each other, I think 75 Hard has played a

(20:16):
lot of a pretty significant rolein that.
I mean, with you know metelling you guys all the things
about my lack of sleep and doingstaying up late at night, you
know, not going to bed togetherat the same time um, that plays
a role.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
You know, cause usually you know we would we get
in bed and I'm usually thechatty one at night where she
wants to go to sleep right away.
Her head hits the pillow, shefalls asleep in five seconds and
I'm usually talking to her andshe's like, would you please
just shut up?
I'm trying to go to sleep, butthat's like at the end of the
night.
That's my time to decompress andtalk and she's like why didn't

(20:55):
you tell me this like two hoursago?
I'm like I don't know.
My she's like why didn't youtell me this like two hours ago?
I'm like I don't know, my mindwasn't ready to go there yet, so
we've kind of been missing someof that time.
So getting back to the weeklydate night and the intentional
focus time on each other isgoing to be a big deal for us
moving forward.
So I'm glad we were able tohave that conversation and reset

(21:17):
.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
You guys are on the same page.
That's good.
Let's see here, man, I mean, the lessons I've learned so far
through this, this, this run of75 hard, it's just.

(21:39):
I can tell how much I'vechanged and she can vouch for me
on this too, from the lastcouple of years, how I've been
and how I am.
The person now I feel like thisprogram is is building me to.
You know, I used to be on edge, like before.

(22:00):
I used to just, like I said, freak out on certain things that
happened and I'm like thisisn't going right.
And I'm like this isn't goingright.
Now it's like this, you know, with with how my mindset is now,
it's like okay, dude, this isgoing to happen.
You know what to do?
Just deep breath, figure it out, it can be fixed.
You know, um, before that I waslike man, I don't even want to

(22:22):
do this anymore.
It's like instant, I'm donewith this.
The more growth I'm getting fromdoing this program and what it
does to mindset and thementality I just couldn't be any

(22:45):
more grateful to Andy Fur,grateful to Andy for selling,
for doing this, you know, causeit is a game changer to start
this year off with this program.
It is a huge game changer.
Highly recommend people to doit.
It is a program, not achallenge.
It is not a fitness challenge.
Um, this is for building thatmindset and it fits perfect with
my brand, cause it's all aboutmindset and uh, yeah, it's, it's
just I brand, because it's allabout mindset and uh, yeah, it's
it's just.
I feel like it's just going toget better and better than you
know.
Adding this and to the routine,um, because this becomes

(23:08):
routine, right, it should.
I mean, does it feel likeroutine for you already on day
35?

Speaker 1 (23:12):
yeah, so, but I would say, like what you were
alluding to is you know thefirst couple of times you went
through it.
You were going through thegrowing pains.
Yes, and now it's like, you'vegained that experience, you know
what to expect.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
And I think that correlates to so many things in
life, whether it's, you know, business or marriage or whatever
it may be.
Like you go through things thefirst.
You know one, two, three times, and it's painful and you don't
really know the next steps.
But then you get to a pointwhere you're like, okay, I've
been through this.
I know what to expect, I knowhow to pivot and where to go,
and that's some of the lessons, the life lessons that you learn

(23:48):
along the way that I think arevery helpful.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
Yep, I mean, you got to go through them too.
You got to go through them tolearn from them, right?

Speaker 1 (23:56):
So um, we got some exciting stuff coming up yes, we
do transitioning again, we'removing.
Moving New studio.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
Can't tell you the location now.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
More to come, but I think for those of you that
follow along on YouTube, you'llsee a new setup, new design, new
location.
So it'll be a little change upfor change of scenery.
We have some new episodescoming up that I think you guys
will enjoy.
We have some new episodescoming up that I think you guys
will enjoy.
You know we've gotten somefeedback from some listeners

(24:35):
that you know some people enjoythe longer episodes, some people
like the quick hitters.
So we are going to have what weare calling all-in moments
coming to you guys soon, wherethey will just be quick hitter
episodes.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
Quick five to ten minute episodes.
Five to ten minutes.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
I think that's nice for some people that they can
listen to them just in the carmaybe going to do school pickup
or whatever it may be that theycan't allocate.
You know, 45 minutes plus to anepisode.
No, I think no different thanus when you're talking about
like a Joe Rogan podcast ofthree hours.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
I don't, I don't know how people do that.
That's a road trip podcast.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
That's a road trip or like a month long deal.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
I can do 45 minutes because my drive is 45 minutes
to work.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
Right, but everybody's different.

Speaker 2 (25:25):
But yeah, man, I mean I'm stoked, I'm ready.
It's just going to get betterand better.
And yeah, you got anything toclose out Any of you?

Speaker 1 (25:34):
I think the last thing I want everyone to hold me
accountable to this one is Ithink I talked about it earlier
in the year, but Jesse Itzlerdoes his.
You know the big-ass calendarand the way that he sets up his
year, and one of those thingswithin that is doing a Masogi,

(25:56):
and a Masogi is like your yeardefining event.
So when I look back on 2025, Ican remember that, as I
accomplished this thing and I'veyet to figure out what that
thing is for me, I'm with you tofigure out what that thing is
for me.
I'm with you, you know, and thereason why for me is that I know

(26:18):
myself well enough now thatwhen I commit to something, I go
all in on it, and I've learnedthat I have more than myself to
think about when I commit tosomething, and so you know,
that's where where Natalie and Igot to be aligned.
It's got to be aligned withwhat we have going on with the
kids.
I ran a marathon in 2021, andthe time commitment it took to

(26:42):
get those long runs in and thetraining to that it was.
I'm in a different place inlife now we are as a family, and
so deciding on what that'sgoing to be has been a little
bit of a challenge for me, but Ineed to get that on the
calendar by the end of Februaryso that I have time to train.

(27:06):
Whatever it's going to be,train, prepare and accomplish it
before the year is over.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
Well, you already kind of put it out there Train
trained for something.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
So got trained for something I.
I love having something on thecalendar to train for, and so I
just haven't been able to figureout exactly what that's going
to be yet I'm with you.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
I need to do that.
I already got the big asscalendar, just need to do that
part.
Yeah, you know, but hey, that'sa wrap for this episode.
