My co host pastor J C.
Welcome back.
(01:04):
Welcome back.
Who's loving the Lord today.
Hey, Jesus, he always gets around of applause here in the
God facts podcast.
Welcome back, everybody.
Welcome, I hope you guys havebeen getting some value, once
again, out of these episodes.
Some fruitfulness.
(01:24):
Whether you're listening, watching riding your bike
watching your kid, driving yourcar riding the space shuttle,
whatever you're doing, listeningto this, I hope that You're
learning something from, andGod, more importantly, is
speaking to you about what we'resaying.
Because we we let the Lord workthrough us so He can work
(01:45):
through you, and that's theimportant thing.
And we've been on this, journeynow for six episodes, and this
time we're into episode seven.
And today in part seven of nine,we're going to dig into what the
Word of God means when it refersto the fruit of the Spirit.
There are nine parts of thefruit of the Spirit in the
(02:05):
Bible.
Today's topic is the seventhpart, Faithfulness.
Faithfulness.
Your faithfulness, what doesthat mean?
What does that mean?
And once again, guys, our coreverses in the series are from
Galatians five verse 16 through26, with emphasis on verses 22
(02:26):
and 23, because that is theblock that has the nine parts of
the for the spirit.
Amen.
Amen.
And once again, we are gonnastart off with the Webster's
1828 and how it definesfaithfulness.
It defines it as fidelity, loyalty, firm adherence to a
legion and duty as thefaithfulness of a subject,
(02:46):
truth, veracity as infaithfulness of God, strict
adherence to injunctions and tothe duties Of a station and the
faithfulness of servants orministers, that's important.
And then this one, strictperformance of promises, vows or
covenants.
Remember guys, God's a god ofcovenants.
(03:07):
And so when you're faithful tohim he's always faithful to you
no matter what.
But he being faithful to himwhile he's being faithful to
you, brings a covenant to, orthat new covenant, that new, and
Jesus is better than a newCadillac.
Guys, come on now.
And and that's Promises, vows,or covenants.
Consistency in affection as thefaithfulness of a husband or
(03:29):
wife.
Covenant.
Covenant.
Blood covenant.
Just like Jesus is with us,that's what you are with your
husband and with your wife.
That's why it says Jesus ismarried to the church and the
church is the bride.
That's in covenant.
That is right.
Come on that's, that'll preachright there.
(03:50):
Ah, who doesn't love the Lord?
And so I think the greatest wayto start this out would be
prayer, and Did I pray lasttime?
Did you pray last time?
No, I started last time.
Did you start last time?
Well, Lord, here we go.
Father God, we thank you onceagain for these amazing people
(04:10):
out there.
I thank you again for theopportunity.
Of this podcast and what we getto do lord.
This is never something we haveto do This is something we get
to do serving you brings us themost joy.
It brings us the most peace lovegoodness Kindness and
faithfulness lord And so I prayright now that as these words
(04:32):
come forth as your holy spiritworks through us lord That it
ministers to the hearts of yourpeople lord that it cuts through
the very divisions that are bonemarrow cuts through the false
ideologies.
It cuts through religiosity.
It cuts through suicidalthoughts.
It cuts through negativity.
It cuts through offense andpride and arrogance.
(04:53):
It cuts through a pain andtorment, Lord.
And it ministers to them, Lord.
It gives them healing.
It gives them rest and it'llteach them how to be faithful.
We just pray this in your son'sname, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Amen.
Amen.
Woo.
Woo jesus name.
Come on somebody.
I don't know about you guys, butI can feel the flames already
(05:16):
Getting hot Holy ghost fire.
Holy ghost fire Holy ghost.
Amen.
Amen.
Yeah, so Brother pastor jc here.
Let me let me let you get thisgoing.
j.C (05:28):
Amen you know when we were
looking at faithfulness, I
wanted to just point out is ThatI'm hoping you guys are seeing
is we're seeing a pattern thatall the fruits of the spirit are
placed within us like a seedfrom God that reveals these
fruits as attributes of who Godis.
And then they begin to sprout inus and become our attributes.
(05:50):
We have to receive before we cancomprehend or even give to
someone else.
And I want to start us off with1 John 1, 9.
1 John 1, 9 says, If we confessour sins, he is faithful and
just.
To forgive us our sins and tocleanse us from all
unrighteousness.
Mmm.
All.
Every bit.
(06:11):
All.
Of unrighteousness.
Not some.
Right there, that's the seedbeing planted.
And what does it say?
If you have faith of a mustardseed, then you can cast the
mound.
You can't even see it.
It's so small.
If you have faith of a mustardseed.
Where does the faith of mustardseed start?
It starts with us confessing theLord as our Lord and Savior.
(06:32):
As soon as we confess.
Jesus Christ is our Lord andSavior.
It instantaneously begins to beplanted in good soil.
And what does it say?
It says He is faithful and just.
To forgive us our sins and tocleanse us from all
unrighteousness.
By that seed being planted offaithfulness, then it begins our
(06:56):
relationship and we can begin toproduce the fruits of the
Spirit.
Thank you, Jesus.
Amen.
That's fire right there.
First Corinthians 10, 13 notemptation has overtaken you
except such as a common to man.
But God is faithful who will notallow you to be tempted beyond
what you're able, but with thetemptation will also make the
(07:18):
way of escape that you may beable to bear.
And so I, I picked thisscripture because but God is
faithful and what this scriptureis telling us is that we can
trust God.
Yes.
Faithfulness builds trust Itsays no temptation has overtaken
You except such as common toman, which means it's uncommon
(07:39):
to God It's common to man, butuncommon to God because he knows
all things been there throughall things.
Nothing is Inside or outside ofhis realm of understanding.
Yes So but God is faithful andwho will not allow you to be
tempted beyond what you are ableBut what the temptation will
(07:59):
make the way of escape that youmay be able to bear it and
that's the key part is that Hisfaithfulness to us makes it so
that we can bear what we'regoing through I was talking to a
lady the other day She's 74 andan atheist and she said you know
When Christians say to me thatGod won't give me more than I
can handle she goes that's notshe's like that doesn't do
(08:23):
Anything good in my life.
She's like that makes me feellike I'm doing something wrong
because You tell me God won'tgive me more than I can handle,
but I have things in my lifethat I can't handle.
And I told her, I looked at her,and based off this scripture
right here, I said, Ma'am, I'msorry, as a Christian, that they
lied to you.
And she looked at me baffled.
I said, I'm sorry they lied toyou.
(08:44):
She goes, what do you mean?
I said, you can't find that inscripture.
Nowhere in scripture does it saythat God won't give you more
than you can handle.
What it says is that you'll beable to bear what you go
through.
Because of His faithfulness.
He will make a way through it.
He will make a way out of it.
But it's not because of us, it'sbecause of the faithfulness
that's been planted within us.
(09:05):
That we can see a different way.
And trust God as we go throughit rather than giving up and
going back to our sinful ways todeal with it.
Yeah, that's powerful rightthere.
That's absolutely true.
It's he takes the burden and wehave to let him take the burden
too.
(09:25):
It may feel like we're drowningin a sea of debt or health
problems or whatever it is.
But he, his grace is sufficientand his love is sufficient and
his faithfulness is sufficient.
And once we get a hold of thatconcept.
Our whole thought processchanges and this controls a lot
of this, Yeah I think that whenwe change This will line up and
(09:51):
you'll see a radical change inyour life because your heart
will be right with God And Iknow it's a little off but fits
in there is just you know, Iencourage you guys is In our
life, when we've been growingup, there are many people that
have been unfaithful to us.
People that we thought we couldtrust, that were unfaithful.
Our parents didn't followthrough on the word of something
(10:12):
they said they were gonna do.
A person promised us one thingand did another.
We can't limit our understandingof faithfulness by the failures
of man.
That we, we, have to unlearnwhat faithfulness is to trust
God.
Because if we put limitations...
(10:32):
On our understanding offaithfulness, based off of
people that we trusted in ourlife that let us down.
Yeah.
Then we're gonna always fallshort of understanding and
giving God the fullness andtrusting Him.
So often, we go into situations, and we say we trust God until he
gets to a point where we feellike we can't bear it.
And then we pick it back up.
(10:53):
Ooh.
And then we end up going, whycan't I just get free from this
situation?
It's because we have not givenGod the full trust.
There it is.
In His faithfulness.
Damien (11:04):
Full trust.
And guys, just like in theselast few episodes, this is an
example of our pre, preperceptions.
And Are we faithful to thethings in this world that are
common and take life?
Or are we faithful to theuncommon one who gives life
abundant, which is God theFather through his son, Jesus
(11:24):
Christ.
The, he was mentioning the thecommon and the uncommon and the
world wants to, wants you tojust fall in line, like the rest
of the herd into the commonalityand God's the uncommon one.
He's the outcast from the worldand he's over here and he's
like, Hey, just follow me.
Yeah.
There may be more people in thisline.
(11:45):
But there's more fruit in thisline you don't have to be in
this line just because everybodyelse's walk over here this
theater may only be showing onemovie, but it's the one movie
that's gonna give you thefreedom It's gonna give you the
pad It's gonna give you theending in this movie and God's
movie is far better than themovie that they're all lined up
(12:05):
For trust me.
Trust me.
This one is eternal salvation.
This one's eternal damnation.
What line do you want to standin?
And this is the reality.
We're not trying to, like, scareanybody.
This is the truth.
And that brings me to Psalms 59.
It says, For there is nofaithfulness in their mouth.
Their inward part isdestruction.
(12:27):
Their throat is an open tomb.
And they flatter with theirtongue.
And here's another example ofyou can either be a faucet or a
drain.
We talked about this a fewepisodes back.
Are you one that gives?
Or are you one that just takesand is never satisfied, just
like sin is never satisfied.
And you can't you can either bea faucet or a drain to those
(12:48):
around you and how you areinside is how you reflect.
To those around you, period.
And what your heart is likeinside determines the level of
your faithfulness to not onlythe ones closest to you, but God
the Father.
And so we have to understandthat it's, gonna come out
eventually.
You can hide it for so long.
(13:08):
You can, put that shiny suitcoat on and look real good.
You can walk around and be like, yeah, everything's fine.
And, but inside you're terrible.
You're horrible.
You're, crying nonstop.
Just cause the tears are on theoutside doesn't mean your
heart's not crying.
And in pain and agony and you'relike, I don't know why I don't
know why I just feel like givingup it's right here It says that
(13:30):
there is no faithfulness intheir mouth three more parts of
destruction It's talking aboutthose who are willfully going
against god's word.
It's going against his preceptsIt's going against his
faithfulness just like the oneline here and the one line there
And their throat is an opentomb.
They're always spewing death.
Death.
Death.
Death.
And, Jesus talked about thatwith the ferrets.
(13:51):
He's called them whitewashedtombs.
Because their insides werefilthy.
Their outsides look real good.
And so that's just another wayof looking at even though It
says that right here, theirthroat is open to them, they
flatter with their tongue.
God doesn't want us to flatterpeople.
He wants us to give them Histruth.
Not our truth, but His word, Histruth.
(14:14):
And so it can minister to them.
The tongue is sharper than anytwo edged sword.
Right?
It's like a double edged sword,they say.
It just, it can either cut goodor cut wrong.
It's like, if you're alwayskeeping the word in your mouth,
which is the sword, Of thespirit now you're speaking life
into people and you're notspeaking death or a tomb out of
(14:35):
your mouth It's going to besomething that gives like a
faucet and you know psalms 40 10says I have not hidden your
righteousness within my heartOh, yeah, get your bibles if you
don't have them out and a penand paper and your pen and paper
your abacus your fountain penyour whatever it is your big pen
bent pen your four color big penYeah, I have one of those.
(14:59):
Whatever it is you need.
Psalms 4010 says, I have nothidden your righteousness within
my heart.
I have declared yourfaithfulness and your salvation.
I have not concealed your lovingkindness and your truth from the
great assembly.
Here's a contrast.
This is a profession.
This is a complete, almost acomplete opposite of what Psalms
(15:21):
5 9 is saying.
This is a profession.
He's saying your faithfulness, your salvation, I'm not going to
keep it inside.
I can't conceal it.
Your love and kindness, yourtruth, the Great Assembly has to
hear this, and that's why we dothis podcast, because we, you
have to hear this, because justlike back in those days, they
wanted nothing more than toshare what God's done in their
(15:42):
life.
Right?
The goodness, the mercy, thefaithfulness.
They wanted to get it out.
And the Great Assembly.
And I think that's just, theseare really good contrasting
scriptures about thefaithfulness of God and how we
can be faithful to not onlyourselves, be true to ourselves,
(16:04):
but stand up for what's right.
And for what he says is right, and then the others around you
are going to benefit from it.
Your family is going to bebetter, your marriage is going
to be better, your job is goingto be better.
Everything is going to start toimprove in a real fruitful and
faithful way.
j.C (16:20):
We will never have the
ability to be faithful to others
if we're not.
Amen.
We have to be faithful to God.
And we were faithful to God inresponse to his faithfulness to
us.
I've declared your faithfulnessin your salvation.
It's that seed that's beenplanted within.
(16:40):
And I wanted to share with youguys that what that looks like
for us, right?
So faithfulness we've spoken onGod's part.
We've talked about talking aboutit.
And so faithfulness on our partis the act of remaining.
steadfast and committed to Godand his teachings.
It is a demonstration of loyaltyand trust in God's promises,
(17:02):
even in the face of adversityand or temptation.
In essence, faithfulness is areflection of our relationship
with God.
And to back that up, I'm goingto read a revelation to 10.
It says, do not fear any ofthose things which you are about
to suffer.
Indeed, the devil is about tothrow some of you into prison,
(17:25):
that you may be tested, and youwill have tribulation ten days.
Be faithful until death, and Iwill give you the crown of life.
Amen.
Faithfulness is produced throughtrials and tribulations.
It isn't faithfulness unlessyou've walked through it and
claimed it before it's evenhere, right?
(17:46):
I can be faithful after God'sbrought me through things.
That's easy.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
God took care of that Yeah, Iknew he was gonna take care of
you.
He always does Yeah, but wereyou faithful in the moment
before you received it?
It sounds like conditionalfaithfulness.
Come on Oopsie, were you sayingthat Lord, even unto death, I
(18:09):
will be faithful and proclaimsometimes man, and I thank you.
I think the Lord for this, causeI believe it's a gift.
And sometimes I have dreams ofbeing tortured and martyr, and
I'm being asked in these dreamsto denounce my faith in God.
(18:31):
And I'll tell you what, that'ssomething to really think about,
especially as things are gettingmore difficult in this world.
When you're starving, right and,not to get too deep into it, but
when you're starving and themark of the beast is the
solution for the food that yourbelly needs, are you willing to
be hungry to stay faithful toGod?
(18:52):
When you're in a situation andsomeone's asking you, and then
we can even take it a littlelighter, okay?
When you're at work and everyonearound you is making coarse
jokes, Will you be faithful toGod?
And not allow the coarse jokesto come forth in your mouth to
fit in.
(19:12):
When that person makes youangry, will you be faithful to
God?
To stay calm and trust Him tohandle your situations?
Do not fear any of those things.
Which you are about to suffer.
And so this is a promise, youguys.
We are going to suffer.
The world does not hate us, buthates the Christ that dwells
(19:33):
within us.
Yes.
Yes.
So you are going to go throughsuffering.
This is a promise from God.
Prosperity is not a promise fromGod.
Prosperity is something that isonly given to you when you've
earned it through faithfulness.
Yes Lord.
And you can be trusted with it.
But a promise that God gives usis that you will suffer.
That's a key word.
(19:53):
You just said they're trustedwith it.
So it's key trust andfaithfulness We build and God
trusts us as he can see thatwe're obedient and disciplined
with our faithful What's thatverse?
Damien (20:07):
Those were faithful with
little shall be faithful and
much That's it.
And I don't know about youDamien, but in my life God
started with giving me littlethings You know as I was
obedient and disciplined withthose things he added on.
Oh, he added on to my marriageHe added on to my children He
added on to my jobs.
Every little time I've beenfaithful, God has continued to
(20:30):
add things on to expand myterritory when he sees that he
can trust me with what he'sgiven me.
Yeah, it did the same thing tome.
When I first got started my walkwith God, it was almost nine
years ago.
I didn't, wake up and have ahouse.
I didn't wake up and have amarriage.
It was he had to, make sure thatI was faithful with the little
(20:51):
that he was providing to me,which was the bus, my bicycle
walking to get to my jobs and, Ihad to make sure, hey, I had to
be there on time, take fourbuses just to get, but I knew
that job was going to get me tothe next level.
And it was always a steppingstone and he was always like,
okay, you leveled up.
All right, I'm going to throwsomething else at you.
(21:13):
Boom.
Now level up to there.
And it was just enough that Icould still reach it.
It was just enough, it costedjust enough to where I could
afford it.
Like, he always made a way formy finances and the increase and
the abundance and I was I wasworking a part time job and I
still always seemed to havemoney left over.
I'm like, how is this possible?
Like, how am I, do I still havecash left over after I bought
(21:34):
all this stuff and I, workminimum wage and part time
hours?
That's God.
He's providing the increase.
He's making the way because ofmy faithfulness and trusting in
him and saying, God I, don'tknow how I'm going to make it to
the end of the month, but Ibelieve you can help me with
that.
You're going to, you haven't letme down yet and you never will.
And you got me out of my pit.
(21:56):
He pulled me up, put me on solidground.
Why wouldn't I put my trust inhim?
But I was faithful to him beforehe even started giving me these
things.
I was faithful to him because Ibelieved in him and I wanted a
better life.
I said, I'm done running downand smacking my face onto the
ground over and over again, expecting a different result.
That's insanity.
And I said, I trust in you.
(22:17):
I believe in your words.
Your word says that you'refaithful.
I had to go to this first.
Your word says so.
So I am going to step out infaith and believe what it says.
And I'm going to be faithful bybelieving what this says.
j.C (22:31):
And what you just shared
right now, the Lord was speaking
to me right before you just saidthis, was that there if you're
out there and you're saying, man, that's nice that your
faithfulness has been a blessingin your life, but I don't have
blessings in my life.
Or maybe you're saying, man,I've trusted God.
But yet I've gone through thesetribulations and trials that
(22:54):
seem unfair, unjust, or I can'tseem to get past this loss.
I can't seem to get past Thisaddiction, I can't seem to get
past and Damien just gave us thekey right there that we have to
let go and let God, which means, and we've talked about this
before, that means that I getthe word and I begin to read it
(23:15):
and I begin to proclaim it overmy life.
I begin to proclaim it andmeditate and renew my mind.
Lord, it says that I am morethan an overcomer.
Father God, you say that I'madopted and chosen by the God.
Your word says that you will notgive me more than I can bear.
And it feels like I can't bearthis.
So show me a way out.
(23:36):
So begin to read the word andbegin to, pray over your life.
If you're not seeing thefruitfulness of trusting God and
you're like, man, myfaithfulness just doesn't look
like what you guys are talkingabout.
Then I w I would go back to whatwe talked about earlier and say.
That you are most likely havingconditioned faithfulness based
(24:00):
off of things that you areportraying from your previous
life before Christ.
Damien (24:05):
Man, that's great.
And also, that kind of before Iget into the next scripture,
don't let somebody else'smiracles and blessings dictate
your faithfulness.
Just because somebody else whogot sober at the same amount of
time or came to Christ at thesame amount of time, Is got that
job for six figures or just gotthe brand, the big truck and
(24:28):
the, beautiful wife and rightaway, don't get discouraged.
Everybody's walking path andtime frame is different.
God doesn't live by a man'sclock.
Remember that.
We are the one that's trying toput him inside the clock.
God's saying, I'm outside ofspace and time.
Just cause Billy Joe Bob overhere got blessed and with all
(24:49):
this doesn't mean that you'regonna get in the same...
Cause you know why?
He knows everybody can handleresponsibility differently.
Everybody's created different intheir minds.
And just because we're sittinghere with a clarity and being
able to speak to you on thisside of the table, I just feel
like it's really important tounderstand.
(25:09):
That, that, that faithfulness, there are many situations of
travailing crying in our lives.
j.C (25:17):
I can say for myself.
Oh gosh, yes.
Right, there are times where Ilacked trust.
There are times where myfaithfulness was tested through
trials and tribulations.
It wasn't just, okay, well, Itrust God.
So everything's easy peasy.
It says that you will suffer.
So I just want to encourage you.
We're on the side of the tableof being able to say we've been
through these things.
(25:38):
Yes But if you were a fly on thewall in the midst of the loss of
some of the things that we'vegone through When you would be a
fly on the wall through some ofthe things that we had to
relinquish and let go of yeah, some of the things that were in
our lives from our previous thatliterally was Hours and days on
our knees crying out to Godbefore that thing came.
Damien (26:01):
Oh yeah.
And then and it's, and then the, lifestyle leading up to it it's
a miracle.
I can even form a completesentence now.
Amen.
And that's a real, that's real.
There's, I've lost months in mylife to my addictions, and the
fact that I can even form athought now and remember things
is a miracle.
(26:21):
That's God in it.
That's nothing else but God.
Because of his faithfulness.
Because of his faithfulness.
And I, he said, that's not whatI called you for, and let me
show you what you were throughmy word.
Amen.
And through my actions.
And through my compassion sothat brings you right into these
next scriptures that are gonnathink paint a really good
picture for you guys That'sLamentations 3 22 through 25.
(26:42):
Now, this is Old Testament andLamentations to lament is you
know to lament you're you know, you're showing God That you're
expressing yourself to God.
And Lamentations 3.
22 says, Through the Lord'smercies we are not consumed,
(27:03):
because His compassions failnot.
They are new every morning.
Great is your faithfulness.
Great is your faithfulness,Lord.
Great is your faithfulness.
Verse 24, the Lord is myportion.
Says my soul.
Somebody say my portion.
(27:23):
My portion.
My portion.
My portion.
Hallelujah.
Therefore, I hope in Him.
I don't hope in me.
I don't hope in Him.
I hope in Him.
Cause I don't fail every time.
Come on somebody.
And then verse 25, the Lord isgood to those who wait for Him.
He didn't say wait PLS, the lineof PLS.
(27:45):
He didn't say.
Wait for those tacos you don'tneed.
No, you wait for Him.
That's that patience.
To the soul who seeks Him.
There's a lot in there, butthese are all in there for a
reason because it's a they're,proclaiming and declaring His
(28:06):
fruit of the Spirit, so tospeak.
His ways, His mercies, Hisgrace, His truth, His loving
kindness, His faithfulness.
They're professing this.
out into the airway becauseThey're so filled with his love
and they know what he's capableof doing and they're testifying
And we need to believe that godwill come through for my family.
(28:28):
He will live up to hisdeclarations And promises in his
word.
He has to be guys.
He has to be our everything ineverything holy And completely.
Amen, Just like the verse says, complete and lacking nothing.
Lacking nothing.
Hallelujah.
Lacking nothing.
(28:49):
And holy and completely we haveto, He has to be our everything
and everything.
And in those four verses, Thewords that stick out are
mercies.
Write these down.
Mercies.
Write these down.
Mercies, compassions, new,faithfulness, portion, hope,
(29:12):
good, wait, and seek.
Now, by now, by this episode, you should know that these are
the patterns of promise allthroughout the Bible.
Patterns of God's promise, whatHe will, grace through faith.
He is all these things embodied.
This is the character of God,and he wants to impart those
(29:35):
into you.
He wants you to have thesethings.
Amen, He wants you to know thatyou're, he's your portion and
that...
If you wait, and seek Him, andknow that He is good, know that
He, is your hope, that you canhope in Him, that you can trust
in Him, and that He is faithful,so you can be faithful, that He
(29:57):
will do a new thing in yourlife.
That He will, do a new thing, which is faith and salvation
through Jesus Christ.
And then, Christ is mercy andcompassion.
On that cross, Was him beingmerciful and compassionate for
God's people, for the conditionof their hearts, for their sin,
(30:19):
nature, for the problems thatthey were enduring.
And he said, here's a way out, something new for you.
Amen.
Amen.
And yeah, go back and studythose verses.
Lamentations 3 23, 2 22 through25.
They're powerful verses and theygive you a really good picture.
Read the whole chapter.
That whole chapter's good.
(30:40):
But these are just a littlesnippet of.
They're, professing all thecharacteristics of Christ and
the characteristics of God.
That's what makes it so powerfulbecause you have access to
those, too.
You have access to those.
Full access.
Full access as long as you trustin God.
And then that brings you to mylast scripture, Romans 3, 3.
For what?
(31:00):
If some did not believe, willtheir unbelief make the
faithfulness of God withouteffect?
And what that saying is, and youhave to understand this, is that
our shortcomings and failuresare unable to cancel God's
faithfulness to His covenantpromises.
Thank you, Jesus.
faithfulness.
(31:26):
To see us made whole lackingnothing, just like back to
lamentations, this lacking, nothing, lacking, nothing, his
covenant promises.
What they professed inlamentations is his covenant
promises of hope and goodnessand mercy, compassion.
All the things that he said hewould do and said he would give,
(31:48):
he does, and he gives liberallyand abundantly.
And man, the, these, all theseverses are powerful and they
help us.
j.C (31:57):
The thing that's beautiful
is when we walk by faith.
When we walk a life offaithfulness, it just continues,
right?
We talked about it starts withthe faith of a mustard seed.
Yeah.
But it grows.
Yes.
Many times people continue tojust have to continuously be
(32:19):
told, Well, if you would havejust trusted me, it could have
gone this way.
Well, if you would have justtrusted me, this is God speaking
to us.
And so often, We forget thethings that He's done, just like
the Israelites did.
We forget what He's done, whenin the midst of the situation,
we put our eyes on the stormrather than on Him.
And if we would walk a life offaithfulness, a walk, a life of
(32:42):
faith, then when that stormcomes, that giant comes, we
don't see that we were like theIsraelites, like Joshua that saw
the abundance of overflowingfruit.
We see the promises we see thethings that God spoke and we,
with a boldness and a fiercenesswalk through every situation,
walk through every sufferingwith our head held high with a
(33:05):
confidence.
Man, and you know what theydidn't have back then, guys?
They didn't have this.
Tell somebody.
They did not.
Most of the scripture of the OldTestament was by mouth.
There was maybe one manuscriptin the whole town, maybe.
(33:28):
Maybe two, maybe three whateversynagogues was around, they had
it.
But not every house had,scripture.
It wasn't commonplace for everyindividual to have scriptures,
only in the holy places.
It was only But we do.
And what we do, we have access.
This, is, in the New Testament, they were living it while they
were writing it.
We have both.
We have the old and the newtogether in so many formats.
(33:52):
It's so accessible.
Amazon, Ebay, whatever, go intoa store.
Walmart.
Everywhere has a Bible.
There's no excuse to not haveone of these in your hand.
And most places you can get themfor free too.
All you have to do is go to achurch and ask them.
And yeah, I love this.
So I just wanted to encourageyou is that it is a fruitful
(34:13):
life of abundance that we arecalled to walk in.
Yeah.
That this faithfulness is notjust to make it so that we can
survive, but that we can thrivein this world now and forever
more.
Amen?
Amen.
Our key takeaways for tonight, you guys, all right?

God's word with them, find yourown scriptures on faithfulness.

Our failures cannot cancel God'sfaithfulness to his covenant
promises.
Number one is our failure cannotcancel God's faithfulness to his

Number two, faithfulness andloyalty to those closest to you
and God will continue to beargood fruit of the Spirit.
Faithfulness.
Number two, faithfulness andloyalty to those closest to you
and God will continue to beargood fruit of the spirit.
(35:39):
Amen.
And three, amen.
Number three is faithfulness isproduced through trials and
tribulations.
Jesus is our faithfulness.
Number three, faithfulness isproduced through trials and
tribulation, and Jesus is ourfaithfulness.

Jesus.
In Jesus name, we loosen yourlove and your fruitfulness of
(36:40):
your spirit upon them.
We ask Lord that those that havebeen seeking And I have been
just feeling stuck, Lord, thatthey would take a deeper dive
into being faithful, that theywould take a deeper dive into
understanding who you are, thatthey would seek you with all
their mind, their heart, andtheir soul, Lord, to begin to
(37:01):
unravel the lies of the worldthat they used to live in and
understand the faithfulness ofyou, that they may become
themselves faithful,trustworthy, that they would
even begin able to trustthemselves, Lord.
For they've lacked trust inthemselves.
And so we just ask Lord that youwould just help them to build
(37:23):
that trust.
