I think you did better becauseyour arms are longer, tink, and
your hair is bushier, so it wasfunnier I think when you did it.
Oh, okay, I'll take it.
Yeah, I think you did good.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
Wow, thank you.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Yeah, I did it, but
my arms are short, so it's not
funny like that.
Okay, what else did we do?
Oh, we had a couple ofauditions.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
This week again.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
And we'll see if
anything comes of any of those.
But that's about it.
It's been a quiet week, butlet's see what's happening with
our listeners.
Our GPS uh-oh, it logged me out.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Oh no.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
I know, don't you
hate that?
Speaker 3 (03:54):

Is that the UK?
Speaker 1 (04:19):
It sounds like the UK
, but who knows?
Then there's Springfield,massachusetts.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Leeds.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
And Budapest,
budapest.
I don't think she heard thatone.
I heard it.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Budapest.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Budapest, that's
right.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
And this doesn't make
sense.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
Leeds, United Kingdom
.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Oh yeah, wonderful.
And this doesn't I mean, Iguess it does.
New York is so big, it says NewYork, new York.
We have so many listeners inNew York, new York, so I guess
it's a different territory.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
I think it's like New
York, new York like Midtown
Manhattan.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
A new listener joined
from one of those locations.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
Someone joined from
smack dab in the middle of New
York, new York Times Square.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
So welcome Leeds,
welcome Springfield, welcome
Budapest and welcome New York.
Those are our new listeners.
And shall we go to topcountries and territories again?
Speaker 3 (05:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
So this week's top
countries USA holding strong at
number one, germany number two, followed by Australia, france,
ukraine is still in there andJapan is still in there.
United Kingdom, taiwan, bangladesh, okay and Hungary.
Speaker 3 (05:46):

Happy Farideh.
Happy Farideh, let's head overto Tinker for some pop culture.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
Poppin', poppin'.
So pop culture.
Should we start with the Queen?
Just little updates.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Well, of course.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Okay, well, also this
Monday on St Patrick's Day was
the iHeartRadio Awards.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
Yes, it was.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
The queen won like a
million.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Yeah, she won more
than anyone's ever won.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
I have to tell you
though love you iHeartRadio.
Those were some interestingawards.
I was not very.
I didn't really like them thatmuch.
Okay, and I didn't really likethem that much.
Okay, I didn't watch.
But also she didn't show upAfter all that there was so much
(06:53):
clowning within the Swiftycommunity.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
There always is.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
So Taylor Swift did
not show up to the iHeartRadio
Awards, but she did make a video, yes, and in the video she is
thanking everyone and she didmake a video.
Yes, and in the video she, youknow, is thanking everyone and
she's wearing a snake necklace.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
I know she's teasing
everyone.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
Yes.
So everyone's like look, it'sthe same type of snake necklace
as the Reputation era.
So everyone's thinkingReputation is coming.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
They've been thinking
that.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
I know I'm like well,
it's obviously obviously, like
it's obviously coming at somepoint we recorded.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
She already did, I'm
sure, but she's just waiting for
some opportune time to drop itI don't know when I know it's
very confusing.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
Yeah, I saw another
theory that, um, apparently
she's going to be announcing itor dropping it this Friday.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
I know, but I don't
think 3-28.
I know Everybody makes upeverything 5-5.
, 6-6.
, 4-4.
It's coming, but it neverhappens.
So I don't know.
The Swifties are really crazysometimes.
We love you Swifties, but justrelax a little, let her do it
(08:13):
Like you make predictions andeverybody gets disappointed.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
Yes, and also Taylor
Swift.
Fans are convinced that TravisKelsey filmed the iHeartRadio
Music Awards acceptance speech.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Oh, okay, why.
They're convinced becauseSomebody had to do it for her.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
Yeah, and they're
convinced that he filmed it and
even made a cameo in her shinytrophy.
And then, help the reflectionon the award, one TikTok user
captioned a video zooming.
Oh my gosh, Hi Travis.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
And it shows like a
reflection of someone standing
there, like in the rewardHolding the video, the camera.
Yeah, and everyone's like it'sTravis, it's Travis.
It's a tall person standingfurther back holding the camera
out, like Trav did at one of herconcerts.
Looks very similar.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Everyone's fighting.
Oh, it could be anyone.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
It really could be
anyone.
It could be her brother or herfather too.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
It really could be
anyone.
It could be her brother or herfather too.
Yeah, but also Trav won theaward for best cameo at the
Arras tour.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
I know, I heard it
just makes up awards to give out
.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
I think yeah, I think
so too.
They should put us in then nexttime.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
Yeah what the heck
yeah, what the heck Put us in
then next time.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
Yeah, what the heck,
yeah, what the heck, yeah,
that's like our dream To be anofficial iHeart podcast.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Yeah, I know, and
they love us.
They always have us with them.
That's all yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
It's going to happen.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Mm-hmm Guys, make
sure to share this video, this
podcast, and like and review.
Yeah, and then gossip pops willwin best podcast at the iheart
award.
Speaker 3 (10:14):
Yes yeah, that'll be
great, that'll be awesome.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Okay, so those are
just the queen updates, nothing
really yeah, and it was also ontv on saint patrick's day, isn't
it?
Speaker 3 (10:25):
yeah, it was just
like yeah, what was that?
Speaker 1 (10:30):
I don't know.
I heard that too.
Guys, there's creepy sounds.
Did you hear that?
It sounds like a growl, but itwasn't us.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
I'm confused, I don't
know Whatever, anyway, okay.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
What were we saying?
Speaker 3 (10:52):
We were saying about
the awards were on St Patrick's
Day.
Oh yeah, so it was weird.
It was like corned beef, cabbage, irish soda bread and
the IHAR radio awards.
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
And nobody wore green
right.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
No, I didn't see
anyone wearing green.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
There you go.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
Did you see JoJo's
outfit?
Speaker 1 (11:10):
What was it?
I don't even understand it.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
It reminded me of,
like Sailor Moon, you know, like
the, what's that?
The Japanese cartoon.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
Oh, yeah, yeah, Like
the anime cartoons.
Is that what it's supposed tobe?
I?
Speaker 3 (11:23):
have no idea.
I have no idea what it'ssupposed to be.
I have no idea.
I have no idea what it was.
It didn't make any like.
I didn't see one story about it, so it's like I don't really
know I've seen pictures andvideos of her, but yeah, I saw
that there's no.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
Oh, this is because,
thing like last year, she did
that crazy outfit with the theface paint like the kiss band
yeah but okay, so we got that.
Everybody understood that thiswas very strange.
And how about you have to sitbehind that?
How do you see?
Speaker 3 (11:58):
there's a video I
think it's on iheart um of it's
a reel or a tiktok where thegirl they show the girl sitting
behind her.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
In real time.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
Yeah, in real time.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
Oh, could she see no?
Speaker 3 (12:12):
No, it had that sound
.
It's like yes, and it's justlike when you sit behind Jojo
Siwa or something.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
I don't get it.
What was it?
I can't see anything.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
I can't get it, what
was it?
Can't see anything.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
I can't even explain
what it was if you haven't seen
it.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
It looked like you
took a huge ring, like from a
gymnastics competition and likeput it on top of your head.
And wrapped hair around it andput hair around it.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
And there was
something hanging in it.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
And then there was
something on her head.
I don't understand it at all.
And then she wore baggy pantswith like underwear showing on
top and like matching bra topopened under a jacket or
something.
But I don't get it.
(13:07):
What was that?
Not one reporter asked what herinspiration was for this outfit
.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
I'm looking now, I'm
purposely just looking up, I
just don't understand it.
Okay, I see this one, becausenow we're going to make sense of
it.
Okay, yeah, she wore pastelpink boxers on the outside.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Pink boxers, like
men's underwear, hold on.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
She explained she
intentionally chose the look
because she wanted people to go.
What the F is she wearing?
I think I did that.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
Oh well, that worked.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
Well, okay.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
So what's the point
and what is the look?
Speaker 3 (14:01):
My hair is like a
statue.
What?
That's what she said.
Her hair is like a statue whatthat's what she said.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
Her hair is like a
statue, okay.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
Encourages fans to
dress like nobody's watching.
My message for anybody whowants to have fun in fashion is
do it, yolo.
I love how this like became astory now.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
There you go.
Well, it is a story.
For those who haven't seen it,just Google her name.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
She says wear the
outfit, Do that thing Not
needing approval is hot, it'sballer and you can look good if
you believe you look good.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
She did not look good
, she looked crazy.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
Yeah, I don't.
She's like the most confusing.
She's just like this confusingperson to me.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
Yeah, I don't get her
either.
She's crazy.
She's crazy.
I think she's a little kooky.
But that's okay, she'ssuccessful, that's fine.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
You can be kooky and
stuff.
Yes, you can.
It's always just you aresuccessful.
It's just a confusing thing tome.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
She likes costumes.
I just don't understand thiscostume.
I don't mind you wearingcostumes, I just don't
understand this one.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
That's all yeah,
that's it, whatever, that's it
Whatever.
Yeah, made her happy and that'swhat counts.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
Can't imagine that
thing on her head being
comfortable.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
Oh, it must have been
so heavy.
It looked heavy, yeah, okay, should we really?
Speaker 1 (15:39):
get into the stories
now.
Well, we kind of startedalready.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
I know JoJo became a
story sort of After the Queen,
but it's okay.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
Well, because the
Queen was a story at the I Heart
with Harry.
Well, we just always do alittle recap of them.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
Yeah, you know.
Yeah, okay, next story.
Yeah, you're going to love thisone.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
Oh boy.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
Meghan Markle claps
back at scared podcaster with
cheeky handwritten note okay, this is the.
This is the craziest story andit completely legitimizes, like,
all the disdain that you havefor megan, or at least that's
what I think okay, I would loveto hear it.
(16:27):
Excellent, confirming meganmarkle cheekily responded to
podcaster amanda hirsch afterthe latter shared she was scared
about the hate the actresswould receive for her new
netflix series with love.
Megan, the not skinny but notfat host, took to instagram, wed
(16:47):
to share a photo of Duchess ofSussex handwritten note she sent
two weeks after her showreleased.
Okay, this is what the noteread Dear Amanda, I heard you
were feeling scared.
Don't be.
This is the fun part.
Let's enjoy it.
Meghan Markle wrote oh, myDuchess.
(17:11):
Amanda Hirsch captioned thepost, which included a
screenshot of her originalscared comment shared under a
trailer for Markle's series.
The influencer saw the note asan honor and wrote via her story
that she was framing theparchment Beyond shook, beyond
(17:33):
spiraling.
She said dude, I smell thepaper.
Yes, do I want my own monogram?
Yes, am I absolutelyflabbergasted and obsessed?
Yes, megan, you have a fan forlife.
And there's a picture of thenote that Megan sent her
handwritten.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
She has a fan for
life now because she got a note,
but she wasn't a fan prior.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
No.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
Okay Well, Megan,
just putting it out there.
If you send me a note, it's notgoing to change my opinion.
Just putting it out there.
If you send me a note, it's notgoing to change my opinion.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
That wouldn't change
my opinion, calculated, but well
, no, I don't think it changed.
Well, this is like a.
I feel like there's so many, Idon't know.
This is really strange.
Why would she send this note?
Like that's the biggestquestion for me.
It's like it really botheredher that much that she had to
(18:36):
write a handwritten note andlike send it to this girl.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
But all she said was
don't be scared.
This is the fun part, what Isaid was don't be scared.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
This is the fun part.
Well, it seems like there'sunderlying meaning in it.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
Obviously yes, but
why would you do that?
Speaker 3 (18:59):
Tell you Something a
little off there, yeah, but I
think it's more of like the girlpissed her off so she decided
to like go back.
What is it?
Kill like, kill with kindness, kind of scare her, like.
That's what it seems like to me, and now she has a fan.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
So the girl wasn't a
fan, actually a fan.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
Unless.
Well, she's not.
She's just like backtracking.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
I don't know Very
strange.
But like why, megan, she's not?
She's just like backtracking.
I don't know Very strange.
Speaker 3 (19:33):
But like why, megan,
would you do that?
I feel?
Speaker 1 (19:35):
like it makes Megan
look like worse.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
Yeah, I agree Like
she shouldn't have said anything
, and why is it a handwrittennote?
This is so strange.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
I guess it's the
first person who gave her enough
attention, I don't know.
But, like everyone in thisbusiness knows, like you don't
respond to anything because justlet it go.
And any publicity is goodpublicity, but let it go.
But she's one of those peoplewho can't let things go, I think
(20:05):
, and has to go back at theperson.
Go back at the person.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
She can't just let it
go Like if she hears something
she's like I'm going to tell himI'm going to.
You know, like one of thosekind of people.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
I'm going to make her
feel bad.
Let me write this passiveaggressive note.
That's really bad.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
And Let me write this
passive, aggressive note that's
really bad, and send it.
Well, you haven't changed myopinion, that's for sure Megan.
And you and your fake showstealing recipes from everyone
else, but I just handwritten.
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
Like she went out of
her way To handwrite a note Like
she couldn't have emailed, orlike put a comment under her
thing like it was.
Speaker 1 (20:49):
It's so weird very
weird, so weird.
She also must have a lot oftime on her hands I know, yeah,
but oof not a good look no, justnot a good look on your bad
list, mm-hmm yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
Completely Okay.
Next story Next story.
Okay.
Snow White star Rachel Zeglerbacktracks comments about weird
original film after majorbacklash.
Film after major backlash.
Rachel Zegler expressed what anhonor it was to play Snow White
(21:31):
in her new live-action film.
After calling the original 1937film weird.
It was the honor of a lifetime.
I think every young persondreams about a phone call like
that.
This one is certainly extraspecial as a huge Disney fan.
Zegler continued praising thefilm and said to get to bring
her to life in such a unique wayand such a special way.
(21:52):
It's just a beautifulopportunity and I'm very honored
.
So the actress also addressedthe modern spin that she and her
co-stars gave the remake.
It's all about bridging aclassic to a modern age to bring
it to these beautiful youngpeople.
Her superpower remains herheart.
You know that's always been thecore of this story.
(22:15):
That's always been the core ofthe Disney company.
Zegler gushed about the filmand that it's for both children
and the inner child in all of us, and that it's for both
children and the inner child inall of us.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
So this is the
message that she shared after
previously facing backlash forcalling the animated version
weird and extremely dated.
What?
Okay, she's another one.
She just needs not to talk.
I don't know how she's alwaysin this drama.
Speaker 3 (22:46):
I know she said the
original cartoon came out in
1937 and very evidently so.
There's a big focus on her lovestory with the guy who
literally stalks her Weird,weird.
So we didn't do that this time.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
Oh boy, so yeah.
So she's making fun of a Disneyclassic that she's got lucky
enough to star in yeah, well, this was in 2022, oh um, and
then in 2020.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
In 2022, she also
admitted that she was scared of
the original cartoon and onlywatched it once but now it's
like she's scary.
So yeah, that was scary.
I remember that when I waslittle the witch thing was
really freaky yes, very scary, but I.
She just went through somemedia training obviously because
(23:37):
she's changed her wholeperspective of what she says
about the movie from two yearsago, three years ago now she's
doing the media tour and they'relike you.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
She says about the
movie from two years ago,
Because Three years ago Now shehas to go on the she's doing the
media tour and they're like youcan only say this and had to
then, I guess, script her withwhat she can say, Because for
some reason she's alwayssurrounded with craziness.
Speaker 3 (23:59):
Yeah, she just puts
her what is it called?
Foot in her mouth.
Yeah, Often.
Yeah, there's a lot of that forher.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (24:08):
I think she's
learning and it's hard, it's
very stressful, yeah, yeah, andsometimes you think you're
saying you're saying somethingthat is the right thing to say,
but then it's just taken in thewrong context and it's
misconstrued, and then everyonejust comes at you or it just
comes at you comes out yeah, oryou just say it and you say it
(24:29):
the wrong word or something, yeah yeah, that's.
Speaker 1 (24:33):
She's always
surrounded, though always still
working well, yeah well.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
This movie is like
has been crazy, so it's finally
out I know, I don't know if Iwant to see it.
It's been redone a thousandtimes well, from the reviews
that people have put on tiktokyesterday, the rotten tomatoes
are pretty rotten oh okay, so Idon't want to see it I don't
know.
I like I just love a disneymovie to begin with, so well, do
(25:03):
the dwarves sing apparentlyeveryone sings oh, they do.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
Yeah, oh, okay, I
would like to see it like I love
all disney movies, so I'm downI love that disney ride the mine
train oh yeah so that'sexcellent, yeah, so I'm always
down to see it, do?
Speaker 3 (25:24):
I think it's going to
be good.
Probably not, probably not, butwe'll enjoy.
Yeah, maybe we'll go see that.
Speaker 1 (25:33):
Okay, we'll find a
day.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
We'll find some time.
Okay, next story yes, okay, sothis is the big news of the week
.
Uh oh, the astronauts are back.
Yes, okay, so this is the bignews of the week.
Uh-oh, the astronauts are back.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
Yes, they're back.
Yay, elon sent his SpaceX tosave them.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
Yes, sonny Williams
and Butch Wilmore have returned
to Earth.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
Yes, they crashed
down this week, finally, those
poor people.
It took 17 hours to fly backfrom the space station down to
Earth.
Did you know that?
Speaker 3 (26:14):
That's wild 17 hours.
Wow.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
That's a long flight
in that little seat.
Yeah, what the heck did they do?
You can't move, you have to sitin that little seat.
Speaker 3 (26:26):
Did they just like I
would have just like slept.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
I don't know if they
can sleep because I think they
have to work.
Controls and all right.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
Right, aren't they
working.
Speaker 3 (26:37):
I guess.
So Well, on that note aboutworking, do you know how much
they made they earned duringthat nine-month stay?
No, At the space station.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
Oh, so they earn
money like per day.
They're up there or something.
That's how it goes.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
Well, I don't know, I
guess, like, how much do you
think that they made in overtime?
I don't know, how much anastronaut gets, oh that
candidate's overtime, Likebecause they were stuck in space
.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Oh wow, they're
bazillionaires then.
Oh wow, that's a lot ofovertime.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
Well, how would you
react if I said no?
Speaker 1 (27:20):
Wait what.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
They didn't cash in
on any overtime while stuck in
space.
What they didn't cash in on anyovertime while stuck in space.
In fact, the two experiencedastronauts who returned to Earth
March 18th after nine months inorbit some 278 days beyond what
they had planned were paidtheir standard salaries.
When NASA astronauts are aboardthe International Space Station
(27:46):
, they receive regular 40-hourworkweek salaries.
Nasa told People they do notreceive overtime or holiday
weekend pay.
Speaker 1 (27:56):
You got them stuck up
there and not giving them
overtime.
What the heck.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
And while they have
an out-of-this-world career,
astronauts are still consideredfederal employees and are given
the standard travel amenities.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
What amenities?
They had nothing up there.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
While in space, nasa
astronauts are on official
travel orders as federalemployees, so their
transportation, lodging andmeals are provided.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
Oh, how kind of them.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
They also are on
long-term tdy temporary duty and
receive the incidentals amountfor each day they are in space.
The incidentals amount isreduced by the percentage
required for the length of thetrip per federal travel
regulations.
So, while their salaries havenot been revealed, the pay rate
(28:48):
for astronauts falls under thefederal government's gs11 gs14
pay scale, which estimates theirsalary ranges from being 84 000
to 152 000, depending on theirexperience.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
Oh my gosh.
Well, I'm sorry, they shouldhave given them quadruple
overtime per day.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
Wait, hear this
Because it's just bad.
Yeah, so as for incidentals, according to a fellow astronaut,
katie Coleman, it could be aslittle as a couple bucks a day.
There is some small amount ofmoney per day for incidentals
that they end up being legallyobligated to pay.
You, she said, and in 2010,2011, for me, it was around $4 a
(29:36):
day.
So then people said how?
Speaker 1 (29:39):
What do you do?
Speaker 3 (29:40):
with that money.
So, Butch and Sunny, if youapply that amount so they made
maybe an additional $1,144 beingstuck in space.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
What the heck.
And now the poor things have tostay, I think, in the hospital
because now their bodies, thisis going to take some time for
them to regulate again.
And I saw a picture.
(30:12):
Did you see the picture?
Where you of them coming out inthe stretchers well, no, after
I think it was after the um, shehas like an IV in her arm.
Speaker 3 (30:26):
Well, I think so.
You have to like be hydrated, right?
Yeah, but they didn't want youto see it.
Speaker 1 (30:30):
It was like under her
sleeve, but when she shook
hands with someone it wasvisible.
So now everyone's like what isthat about?
And then she was up there doingall this and all they talk
about is her hair.
Speaker 3 (30:47):
I feel bad for her,
yeah, but I just don't
understand.
Like well, ok, they were stuckin space, can they like sue NASA
at?
Speaker 1 (31:00):
this point Exactly.
What is the contract you weresupposed to?
Be up there for eight days.
Speaker 3 (31:05):
I mean, are you, when
you're an astronaut, do you
just sign your life away?
Speaker 1 (31:08):
Well, I remember one
interview, a couple months ago I
think, when they were up therefloating around and they were
doing an interview and they'relike well, this is the life of
an astronaut, this is whathappens.
That's what they were saying.
Speaker 3 (31:22):
You have to be a
special type of person.
Speaker 1 (31:26):
Yeah, I, I don't, I
could never do it, and
apparently it does something toyour eyes yeah, apparently it
does a bunch of things.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
Yeah, your bones your
eyes.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
Oh gosh, you come
back.
You have bone loss, you havesome.
It changes the shape of youreyes or something weird and
creepy Like there's all of thesethings.
Speaker 3 (31:50):
Yeah, I could never
be an astronaut.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
These paws and this
fabulous fluff?
Oh no, we would never survive,oh no, and we would need
provisions.
Speaker 3 (32:02):
It's just not
something I could ever do, but I
could not believe coming backafter being stuck for so long
and it's like there's no,there's nothing.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
A thousand dollars.
Talk about a big party.
At least they should give them.
Speaker 3 (32:22):
They need a party.
They need like therapy.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
Well, they're going
to need therapy, that's for sure
.
They need a mansion, they needa yacht, they need, they need a
vacation.
Yes, they need their own wingin the White House.
Speaker 3 (32:39):
Like I wonder, I
don't know.
I mean, I guess you can sueNASA, unless, no, maybe they're
fine with it, they're happy withit.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
I don't know, but
nobody could get a space
anything up there to rescue them.
Speaker 3 (32:53):
And then yeah, and
they're like this is what space
is gets it up, does it?
Speaker 1 (32:58):
yeah so how did that
happen?
Too like you have people upthere and you can't get them.
I don't know yeah, there'ssomething we're missing there
too.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
I know.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
I don't get it, but
I'm so happy they're home,
because Me too, but I knowthey're going to be going
through a lot right now.
Speaker 3 (33:21):
Yeah, it's a really
intense transition.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
And his daughter's on
TikTok.
Did you see her?
I know?
Yeah, I did see that yeah.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
The daughter's on
TikTok.
Did you see her?
I know?
Yeah, I did see that thedaughter's on TikTok.
Speaker 1 (33:30):
Yeah and she's like
so what's it like with my dad
being stuck in space and shetalks about it.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
Yeah, so welcome back
.
Glad they're rescued finally.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
What a craziness.
Yes, okay, I have one laststory go for it.
So this is very niche, but notthat niche.
It's about shonda rhimes, thewoman who wrote like and started
gray's anatomy yes oh which, bythe way, definitely well.
(34:07):
Well, I don't know if youlisteners know, but us gossip
pups are a little obsessed withGrey's Anatomy lately.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
Well, because there's
not much on.
So, we've been watching that Idon't know what it was until
Tink told me.
Speaker 3 (34:21):
I introduced Belle to
Grey's Anatomy.
We started from the verybeginning.
Speaker 1 (34:26):
Yeah, we watched one
episode a night and we have.
Now we're up to season 10?
.
Speaker 3 (34:33):
No, I think we're up
to season 11.
Wow yeah, so we've been verydedicated to Grey's Anatomy
lately.
Speaker 1 (34:42):
Well, guys, when
you're bored, you need something
.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
And yeah, it's so
strange because it's like a
comfort show, but it's notbecause, like it's so, it's so
intense.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
This is what I always
do don't look, dick, don't look
, because every time they go insurgery and they're gonna cut,
so do something, I'm like, don'tlook dick, don't look.
Speaker 3 (35:04):
It's like you know
there's so much trauma, there's
so much like sadness and, likeyou know, medical stuff and it.
It can get like really intensebut at the same time it's like
really comforting because thecharacters are great.
Speaker 1 (35:22):
They help people,
yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (35:24):
I like it and it's
funny and like whatever.
But anyway, so that's a littletidbit.
Us gossip pups are Grey'sAnatomy obsessed right now, but
Shonda Rhimes, who also, youknow, she did Bridgerton, she's
doing and a bunch of other shows, let's.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
How to Get Away with
Murder A bunch of shows get away
with murder.
Speaker 3 (35:51):
A bunch of shows,
anyway.
She um was interviewed and shesaid that the Grey's Anatomy
cast is still traumatized byIsaiah Washington scandal.
So Grey's Anatomy creator, shonda Rhimes, looked back on
the scandals that nearly endedthe medical drama in its early
days, including IsaiahWashington's use of a homophobic
slur.
So I was always trying toexplain to you about how the
(36:13):
character of Preston Burke, whyhe left yeah, remember.
Okay, well, now she's talkingabout it, so you'll get the tea.
So Shonda Rhimes is reflectingon the early days of gray's
anatomy.
The shondaland creator who hasgone on to create scandal
bridgerton how to get away withmurder under her company
(36:35):
recently detailed how shethought an early onset incident
was nearly the end of themedical drama.
In 2006, isaiah washington, whoportrayed preon Burke on the ABC
series, got into a physicalconfrontation with co-star
Patrick Dempsey, which includedthe use of a homophobic slur
(36:58):
toward co-star TR Knight andultimately led to Washington's
firing.
After the incident, rimesfeared the fallout was going to
kill the show.
I think the thorn was havingthe bubble of joy burst so early
on Grey's with the Washingtonincident, wow, and not having
(37:20):
anybody interested in helping usdeal with it, because that
really shaped a lot of how welooked at the world going
forward.
She added because that reallyshaped a lot of how we looked at
the world going forward.
She added it's funny everyGrey's character I talked to who
was there during that time isstill traumatized by that
incident.
People still talk about it.
After initially denying his useof the homophobic slur,
(37:40):
washington admitted he had usedthe word and apologized in a
2007 statement to the showbuzz.
Per CBS News.
Despite the apology, abc chosenot to renew Washington's
contract in 2007, and thenetwork declined to comment
(38:02):
further regarding his exit.
While Washington's controversyrocked Rhymes and the show's
cast, it wasn't the only dramathe show, which began in 2005,
is now in its 21st season, hadto tackle heading on In 2008,
series star Katherine Heiglremoved herself from Emmy's
consideration because of whatshe believed to be a lack of
quality material.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
Ooh.
Speaker 3 (38:24):
Yes.
So following the early scandals, Rimes explained she had to
shift her perspective as theshowrunner.
It was certainly not achallenge I was looking for.
It was also not a challenge Iexpected when we partnered with
Mark Gordon and Betsy Beers, Iremember thinking, well, they'll
have to deal with all thatstuff and I'll just write and
(38:45):
later realizing that'sabsolutely not the way it works.
She soon learned if you are thecreative brain, you not only
have to share your brain withother people, but also everybody
looks to you as the leader.
I had to figure out how to be agreat leader and that took a
while.
And while there's certainlybeen drama behind the scenes,
(39:06):
you can find out everythingabout Grey's 21 seasons, etc.
But yeah, there's a lot of likenews circling now about Grey's
Anatomy, especially becauseEllen Pompeo is in this new TV
show on Hulu.
Speaker 1 (39:18):
Is it a TV show or a
movie?
Speaker 3 (39:19):
It's a TV show on
Hulu, and so she's been doing
like a lot of rounds of likepress and stuff.
But that explains why the Burkeleft.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
All of a sudden, he
was gone.
Speaker 3 (39:34):
One day I told you
there was some kind of drama.
Apparently that happened withthe George character.
Speaker 1 (39:39):
Yeah, like there he
goes.
You're like, yep, that's theend of him.
He doesn't come back again.
It's just like they leave theirend.
They don't come back again.
It's just like they leave theirend.
They don't come back again thenext episode.
Speaker 3 (39:49):
It's done yeah, well,
this is what I find strange,
though.
Speaker 1 (39:53):
So he was fired yes
and everything, but then, as we
saw, because we just watchedseason finished, season 10 they
had him back just for oneepisode and, if you notice,
there was no one involved thatday except for chris, the
christina character yeah there'sno other character in that
(40:16):
scene because he's supposed tobe in netherlands or wherever
azuric yeah, so no one had todeal with him except for her.
Yeah, but what's her name?
Sandra O.
Is that her name in real life?
Speaker 3 (40:31):
Um no, yeah, Sandra O
, yeah, sandra O.
Speaker 1 (40:35):
She's the only one
who had to deal with him, so you
knew something was wrong.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
Well, not that it was
wrong, but like you get fired
but then you get brought back.
That's sort of a little strangeto me.
Speaker 1 (40:48):
Yeah, I don't know
Like I would have figured out
another way to have theChristina character leave
without having to deal with him.
Although it was two episodes hedid right, I thought it was.
Speaker 3 (41:00):
I don't know if it
was two or one.
Oh no, maybe it was two becauseit was like the end of the
episode he like spoke and likewas two because it was like the
end of the episode he like spokeand like they showed it was him
.
And then everyone's like oh,and the next episode you like
found out.
Speaker 1 (41:11):
So it was like two,
he got two and he's getting
residuals on those for being abad person.
Speaker 3 (41:16):
Yeah, but I mean, I
mean I'm all about forgiveness
and he probably I mean, but atthe same time it's not like a
good look to have him come back,to have had him come back.
Speaker 1 (41:30):
Yeah, I don't know.
Obviously there's a lot ofmistakes that happened on that
show.
Speaker 3 (41:37):
Weird.
Speaker 1 (41:41):
Which is why a lot of
the characters, like you said,
left and quit, so yeah.
But it's good watchingeverybody, so it gives you
something to watch.
Speaker 3 (41:48):
Yeah, if you need
something to watch or to binge,
you can definitely try that.
Yeah, am I up?
And that is the end of my popculture.
Speaker 1 (42:03):
All right, so here we
go.
Good job, Tink.
Going on to pop culture fortoday.
Speaker 3 (42:07):
Time for some pop
culture.
Speaker 1 (42:10):
This is a fun one.
Medieval city breaks GuinnessWorld Record for the parade of
897 dachshund dogs.
What yeah?
A city in Germany, Hello.
Speaker 3 (42:23):
Germany.
We have followers that listento us there.
Speaker 1 (42:28):
We love you.
A city in Germany had a howlinggood time and now it's getting
rewarded for it.
The medieval town of Regensburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
in Germany, recently learned itsevents.
Celebrating dachshund dogsbroke a Guinness World Record.
The town's local museum, theRensenberg Dekkel Museum, known
(42:53):
for its quirky collection ofover 4,500 pieces of dachshund
memorabilia, hosted the paradefor dachshund and their owners
and enthusiasts.
Okay, want to see a picture?
Yeah, ha ha, ah.
Funny.
Okay, want to see a picture?
Yeah, ha ha, aww, funny.
Okay.
(43:14):
Guinness World Records recentlyconfirmed that at least 897
dachshunds attended the dogparade.
Some counts indicated that 1175of the beloved canines were
present and marched along thehistoric streets of the town.
The number 897 is enough toearn Regensburg the Guinness
(43:34):
World Record for the largestdachshund walk.
Yes, they got to participate ina variety of activities for the
day dressing in traditionalclothing, waving dog banners and
singing with a marching band.
So look at all the people onthe bridge crossing with their
dachshunds.
(43:55):
So that's, they all went there.
That's like in Colorado, theGolden Town the goldens all
travel there.
So I wonder if any UnitedStates dachshunds went to go to
this.
Speaker 3 (44:09):
Probably I mean.
Germany is a very pet-friendlycountry.
Speaker 1 (44:12):
I know they wanted us
there.
Speaker 3 (44:14):
I know we won't talk
about it.
No.
Speaker 1 (44:18):
But that's amazing.
So go dachshunds, go Germany.
You did it Excellent so cool.
Next story.
Speaker 3 (44:28):
Next story Next story
Mm-hmm, let's do it.
Speaker 1 (44:30):
Woman rescues dog
tied up outside for 12 years
after owners ignore her plea tosurrender.
It was now or never.
Wait Dun-dun-dun 12 yearsoutside.
Uh-huh, dun-dun-dun, here we go.
Sometimes doing the right thingcan be a tough thing.
Dareth Murphy learned this whenshe rescued a dog stranded out
(44:53):
in the cold.
Murphy tells people how she wasable to muster the strength to
save a dog from being leftoutside for more than a decade.
I first noticed the dog chainedoutside a little over two years
ago.
First noticed the dog chainedoutside a little over two years
ago.
My brother lives on the samestreet and I remember first
noticing him when we visited forChristmas in 2022.
In West Virginia, where Murphylives, the state law claims an
(45:18):
owner must provide access toadequate shelter.
By the state's definition, thatmeans it must be in an area out
of direct sunlight with enoughroom to sit, stand, lie and turn
around.
The area must also offer accessto food and water.
Speaker 2 (45:34):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (45:35):
Murphy took it upon
herself to find out more
information about the situationbefore taking action.
I wanted to find out if he evergoes inside, how old he is, how
long he's been out there.
A neighbor recalled when theygot the pup back in 2011.
It wasn't long before he waschained up, murphy shares.
(45:55):
A neighbor cut a hole throughhis fence to slide plates of
food to the dog.
It was heartbreaking to knowhow long this had been going on
and I couldn't go another daywithout him there.
I had to sneeze.
Sorry, bless you, belle.
(46:15):
Thanks, it's my allergies.
Today, murphy tells people thatshe decided to act after hearing
stories.
She devised a plan to contactthe owners and get them to
surrender the dog.
In the morning, and with barelyany sleep, I decided to knock
on the door and ask forsurrender.
After a few minutes, I walkedback to my car in defeat.
(46:38):
The next morning I returnedwith no answer.
Yet again, I thought abouttaking him and leaving a note,
but fear got the best of me.
Murphy recalls.
On the third morning, I knocked, walked around the property,
determined to make contact withthe owner.
Once again, no one came out thedoor.
I knew it was now or never, soI unchained the dog in broad
(47:01):
daylight and guided him to thegetaway car.
Speaker 3 (47:06):
This is intense.
It's like a whole mission, yeah.
Speaker 1 (47:09):
Murphy describes the
emotions she was feeling when
she rescued the dog now namedBuddy.
It was quite an adrenaline rush.
It was never my plan orintention to take him.
I wanted so badly to ask forsurrender, to promise to give
the dog a better life with hisgolden year.
She said.
After years of seeing this goon in my state, I just couldn't
(47:31):
take it anymore.
And she originally posted aboutthe dog on facebook looking to
get um either answers orsolutions.
Uh, when a retired couplereached out offering to help and
adopt the dog, if.
Murphy was able to get it andhave it surrendered to her.
Once Murphy got the dog in hercar, she drove him directly to
(47:53):
the couple where they bathed him, set up a vet appointment and
her TikTok about the experiencehas more than 5 million views
and 900,000 comments.
Whoa Buddy's journey with thisnew couple hasn't been easy, as
he had ongoing medical issuesthat were, of course, untreated.
During his first vet vet visitthey discovered he had urine in
(48:17):
his blood from an untreated uti.
He was not neutered.
He tested positive for lymedisease because he spent years
gnawing on a heavy metal chain.
It was most impossible todetermine his true age from his
teeth being almost completelygrind down, oh my gosh.
(48:38):
So the story goes on a littlebit longer.
But he is great, he is fine.
Here he is in a home of thesenew people, and no word from the
people who left him on a chainoutside every day.
Speaker 3 (48:53):
That is insanity.
Speaker 1 (48:55):
How do you do that?
Speaker 3 (48:57):
Wow, what an intense
story, though.
Yeah, they got like everydetail.
Speaker 1 (49:01):
Oh yeah, it's
fabulous.
I love it.
The suspense, dun dun dun.
Speaker 3 (49:06):
Love it.
I'm glad that he's laying inthat dog bed.
Speaker 1 (49:11):
He's good and indoors
and happy.
For, finally, the poor thing.
They show a picture of him.
He was in the snow, shiveringlike on a chain.
He had nowhere to go foranything, shelter, cover,
nothing moving on.
Labs denied the top spot on themost popular dog breed list
(49:33):
again after a 31-year run.
Oh are Papatis denied too, american Kennel, the world's
largest purebred dog registryrevealed Tuesday that the French
Bulldog is the most popularbreed for a third year in a row.
Speaker 3 (49:53):
That's true, we know
that.
Speaker 1 (49:55):
Yes, they're
everywhere.
Speaker 3 (49:56):
They love the
Frenchies.
Speaker 1 (49:57):
Yeah, exactly, they
were named the leader of the
pack for the last three years.
Before the French Bulldog tookover the top spot, the Labrador
Retriever had held this positionfor 31 years in a row.
Whoa, can you imagine?
So the Frenchies are takingover.
(50:19):
Frenchies are taking over theworld.
