Col. 1:24–29
I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church. I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness— the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in
1. Christ
The Christian life is the empowered life.
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation” (Col. 1:15)
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form” (Col. 2:9)
And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy” (Col. 1:18)
2. In you
The Transformed Life
26 the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints. 27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Col 1:26-27)

The Exchanged Life
“So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law” (Gal. 5:16–18)
I am crucified with Christ, but nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me.” Gal. 2:20)
The Mission of Christ Fulfilled

Christ suffered to accomplish salvation; we suffer to spread salvation.
The Secured Life
Hope”—absolute certain that glory awaits
13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it,to the praise of his glory. (Eph 1:13-14)
For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God (Col 3:3)
The Completed Life
We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. (Col 1:28)
