Instagram followers, still moregoing.
Lots of collaborations, lots offun stuff.
You're always working hard andI feel like I was saying this to

(01:08):
someone else.
Like everybody in the cannabisinfluencing space, I feel like
it's a hard time, but you guyswork your asses off and I think
a lot of people think it's justlike you know peace and gather
real and putting it online andbut I'm sure there's a lot more
to it, right.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Absolutely.
It's really hard for myself.
I find to like be in the momentat events, but also be able to
capture content.
I feel like it's either one orthe other.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Right.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
I'm either on my phone just capturing content or
I'm in the moment interactingwith people you know, conversing
, networking, all that stuff.
So it's hard.
One person that one of myfriends actually is really good
about doing that Jaden, shoutout to Jaden yeah, she is so
good about that kind of stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
The multitasking, like keeping kind of like just
on top of everything.
Yeah, there's a lot going ontoo.
When you're trying to likecapture an event, I'd say I'm
new to the game.
I can't do it at all, so Idon't know if Charlie and I are
cannabis influencers just yet,but definitely you guys are
definitely.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
You guys own a shop, you have influence, you know.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Appreciate that.
Yeah, no, I guess I just meanstill getting used to the.
Yeah, I feel like I'm eitherlike the guy on my phone walking
around like this, or like I'mactually interacting with people
and trying to, like you know, just be in the moment Exactly
and be present and try and like.
I'm terrible at it personally.
No, you're much better than me.
Just, I'm just thinking of afunny kind of incidents where

(02:27):
Sean for sure makes makes hisefforts to go to more things
than I go to less, but sometimesI'll go to one.
He's like wait, you don't haveanything for me.
Sorry, pal Zero.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
You're making the connections.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
That's it.
I try, you know, getting better, getting better.
So thank you.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Yeah, it's difficult.
Yeah, I'm just not good for me.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
So there you go.
She's human, we're all human oraliens.
You're definitely like aseasoned pro and can smoke with
the best of them.
I would say, no doubt there.
You know, you're known for yournails, your bongs, your blunts,
your backwoods.
All the above All the aboveGuilty is charged.
Absolutely, do you have like apreferred method personally.

(03:07):
Definitely Backwoods Also likelately I've just been Sorry.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Yeah, motion cream is my favorite.
Yeah, and then I mean I'vealways loved dabbing, but lately
it's just been like consumingmore by dabbing.
Like I dab so much more versuslike blunt.
Like I still love to smoke myblunt in the evening, but I just
dab all day long, especiallywith this guy.
Shout out to you guys, I'm soexcited that I won this from the
giveaway.
Yeah, I have not stopped usingit goes everywhere with me.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Everybody knows I'm always pulling it out of my bag
so you keep it in immaculateconditions.
Are you dry?
You do a dry puff coat.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
I do.
Yeah, like it dry Well, I mean, either way is good is good, but
I find that with this butparticularly, gets more dirty
and like more like residue stuckin there with the water.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
I know what you mean.
It gets kind of gnarly, likeI've seen my brothers and yeah,
it's a little banked up, yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
I never moved around with it.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Exactly it probably tastes just as delicious.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, I like more flavorful.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Even there you go Pro tip Struggling to open my shish
soda over here.
I want to try that.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Those are a struggle with these.
So the ASMR.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Pro tip.
I forgot to do it.
This is your pro shish tip, don't forget to.
I just forgot.
But you got to turn it upsidedown, like ever so slightly, to
like, distribute the cherryjuice evenly.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Oh, okay, pro tip.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
There's my that shish .
That's impressive, isn't it?

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Don't forget, shish is the official sponsor of
Hyro-Bits Shout out to she.
I just sneak it in there, grabyour soda.
I think they just won in a wordtoo.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Yeah, they did, and I wanted to shut them up for that
.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
So shout out to Matt and Jack Golin, I believe his
other partner there, sheesh andthey won Beverage of the Year at
the grown-up conference.
The Victoria that took placeyesterday Not bad, so that's
pretty awesome.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Have you guys tried a Sheesh float with the ice cream
?

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Yeah, he did that activation in our store.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
So good.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Popped off.
We had a lot of people come inactually specifically for it.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
So it was a lot of fun.
It's a good event, yeah right.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Who doesn't love a little float?
Don't forget to follow at.
Where can they find you?

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Blunt underscore bay underscore.
You're gonna probably have totype in my whole name because
I'm shadow band everywhere, butyou can find me on Instagram,
Twitter, YouTube.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
That's super impressive.
I think that's about it for now.
How did you grow your followingto that with like being shadow
band?
That's impressive.
So I didn't know you.
I didn't realize you were thatshadow band.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Yeah it's rough out here.
Luckily with like you know nowthat like collaboration feature
on Instagram where you can likepost to multiple accounts with
like one post that helps out alot.
So like whenever I collaboratewith like a bigger brand or
something like that, that willput me on, like you know, some
more people's radar.
Yeah, I've just been able towork with a lot of like really

(05:49):
big brands and get those, getthat exposure from them, like G
pen cookies raw, you know just alot of like work with some,
some impressive people,definitely.
Yeah, for sure it's.
It's and I'm very, like youknow, excited and like honored
to have been able to work withthose brands, cause, like when I
started out, it's like you know, you're trying out these brands
, you're following them onInstagram, so, yeah, to be able

(06:11):
to work with them is really abig accomplishment for myself
personally.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
I saw you did like did you do?
You did like a classcollaboration, just like blunt,
blunt by glass there.
You did like some slurpers orsomething or like am I wrong?

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Well, I do have a banger.
It's not like a collaboratorAnything.
I just got like my ownpersonalized banger with, like
my, my logo etched on it, justfor funsies.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
I thought I looked dope, yeah, okay.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Yeah, and then there's this company called
Alchemy Charms.
I also they sent me like acustomized bank.
So they do like they'll takelike already existing glass and
add like crystals and like resinand flowers and all that kind
of stuff to customize it.
So they made me like a bluntBay one.
And then they kind of made thissome like spin offs of that.
It wasn't like an officialcollab or anything like that,

(06:55):
but for me to like promote itand stuff.
So that was really cool.
They made me like apersonalized piece.
It's like really the 24 inchbong, so it's like my biggest
one.
Oh, wow, yeah, I think.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
I think you should look into that because I thought
it was really cool, I think Ithink it would do well for you.
I just know you're alwayshustling and trying to get your
brand out there, and I guessthat's the name of the game.
When you're an influencer, you'd say like literally just
getting yourself out there andjust always communicating,
always posting, or exactly.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Yeah, I mean I think you should be always posting,
but I'm not super consistentabout it personally.
But that is definitely somethingthat I want to do is like have
a shop with you know all myfavorite things and, like you
know, I've kind of started outwith the merchandise a little
bit.
I just have the Hutties andlike I had some crop tops as
well.

(07:40):
But yeah, there's a lot ofthings that I use regularly, and
that's actually one of my mostpopular videos on YouTube is
like what's in my stoner bag, like the products that I use
most often.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
Right.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
So I really want to like capitalize on that, and I
also just get asked a lot likeoh, where'd you get that cool
thing that you're using?
And like, like you were saying, you know, even with my little
cuff coat cap and just all thefun things that you know, stoner
innovation, yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
I love showing that kind of stuff and yeah, sharing
what I love.
Kind of curious.
What well I can look it uponline.
But what is like your go to?
What's in your stoner bag?
What can you not leave thehouse without?
Obviously, the Puff Co is oneof them.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Yeah, for sure.
I mean I could pull the bagover and do a whole like live
thing right now.
But even if you went online, Ineed to update it because it's
been a while.
But yeah, definitely, the PuffCo has been in there nonstop
since I got that.
I also have like a massiveSanta Cruz shredder grinder.
It's like literally like thisbig.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
A big wide for like a whole quarter or something.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Yeah, like the super big one, and I always get looks
when I bring that out with me.
But I'm like, I'm rollingblends.
It's just easier for me to havethe big grinder, the backwards,
the rolling tray, the roachclip.
Those are like, yeah, probablylike the things that I have to
have when I know I'm going to gofor a session type of thing and
a vape.
I was left to have a vape on me, sneaky vape in there somewhere

(08:57):
, thc vape, not nicotine.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Me too.
Yeah, same way.
I was going to try and roll upsome of this dopamine.
It's a Mamosa times Jaggercross.
I'm from out in the Kootenays.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Is that that second jar that we were looking at?

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
That is a beautiful nugs.
It smells so good.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
We got a nice, nice one.
I hit him jam that I shesmelled it right away too and I
just pulled it out of there, butit's got like this kind of
great candy thing to it.
Anyways, I think you reallylike it.
So, anyways, I'm just gonnakind of Start rolling that up
while we chat away here.
I'm curious to dial it back.
So my understanding is you're abudtender at some point, but
why?

(09:36):
Why the switch?
And what was that transitionlike?
Becoming like a content creatorand an influencer?

Speaker 2 (09:43):
So I was actually a budtender pre legalization.
So, yeah, I got to work in theblack market.
Just before legalization.
It was like May 2018 I got theopportunity to work at a black
market dispensary and I jumpedat the opportunity.
So I was working there thewhole summer.
It was really exciting.

(10:03):
Um, I didn't really like takenlike the risk factor of it as
much, um, but luckily I didn'thave any close brushes with the
law during that summer at least.
Um, they did get rated at theend of the summer.
Unfortunately, oncelegalization came around, but I
feel like they just kind of wentaround and shut all the shops
down.
They didn't really like chargepeople, from what I understand.
So it wasn't too bad.

(10:24):
Um, but yeah, after that, I wasworking at Sephora at the time,
so I was just kind of doingthat.
And then I, after legalization Imean not that I had anything to
do, legalization but um, Istarted like smoking a lot of
blends actually after working atthe dispensary.
Um, I had started were smokingbackwards there and I always had

(10:46):
my nails done and I like totake pictures of my blends with
my nails, especially as I madeprogress with learning to roll
blends and they got better andbetter.
I would like to document myprocess with my little pictures,
um, but I couldn't post themanywhere because of stigma.
I mean, even though it waslegal, you know, I still worked
at, you know, a business thatwasn't really cannabis friendly,
even like when I would come insmelling like it, they would
like kind of give me comments,um, and then also with like

(11:09):
family as well, like my familywasn't exactly super open to it,
um.
So, yeah, I I created a secretinstagram account that I didn't
tell anybody about, um, and Ijust started posting on there
for fun.
And then, um, from that, Istarted, uh, getting messages
from random like brands, likecannabis brands, like Mainly
black market cannabis brandsthat were looking for help with

(11:29):
their instagram Um for me tolike create content for them as
well as like give them exposure.
So, yeah, I just kind ofstarted getting contacted by
different companies and it wentfrom like just being for fun to
like, oh, I can kind of makemoney off of this um and it and
um, I started like creating thecontent and like doing the
influencer side of it as well asManaging social media and

(11:50):
creating content for otherbrands as well.
So I got to see both sides ofit as well.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
This is like being a first generation Canadian.
Um, does that ever like Affectyour relationship with your
family and like yourrelationship with cannabis?
Is that like?
Is that become?
Is that like a thing?

Speaker 2 (12:06):
for sure.
Um, my Mom is much more likewesternized, I guess I could say
, and like chill about it.
Um, like, when I first startedsmoking in like high school,
college, she wasn't down becauseshe wanted me to like finish
school and stuff like that.
But once I got old enough, she's like you know, I can't
really tell you what to do andshe's kind of cool with it now.
Um, and I still didn't tell herabout my instagram just right

(12:27):
off the jump, because I didn'treally know what she would think
about it.
So I was like, if I reach10,000 followers, I'm gonna tell
her.
And it happened.
And then I didn't even tell herlike right away.
I just it just kind ofnaturally happened.
I was like, oh, by the way, Ilike have this instagram account
and she was actually likereally excited.
And she's like, wow, this isreally cool, like you built this
all from like smoking weed.
I was like, yeah, so it wascool that she was like excited

(12:48):
about it.
But, um, my parents aredivorced because they did have
an arranged marriage.
You know backstory.
It's all cool, you know that'sfine, life happens, um, but yeah
, so my dad doesn't really knowas much about my everyday life
and all the stuff that I do,yeah, so I just kind of keep it
on the deal.
I did recently tell him that Ido smoke weed, but he doesn't
know like the extent of it.

(13:09):
And the whole influencer side.
So I'm like just kind of slowlyeasing him into it.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
They'll find out.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Yeah, exactly for you .

Speaker 1 (13:17):
I think you, you know , um, I think that weed can kind
of help, kind of carry apersona for people.
I think sometimes it carries apersona persona for me too.
So, um, I don't know, it's coolyou get to live that alter, you
going.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
It's amazing yourself and give you like a yeah, I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Yeah, it's part of your success and they gave you
like a channel and a note letand it's dope.
I'm curious because you youmentioned of course there's
always risks with you know, black market or anything illegal
, but you got to take risks tomake things happen.
Um, how do you decide whatrisks are worth or not when you
choose who to work with?

Speaker 2 (13:50):
It's a great question .
Um it, I guess it.
It really just depends on, like, if it's something that, like,
aligns with my morals and values.
Um, you know, if, if it's abrand that I would have liked,
you know, despite all of this, like, would I consume their
products, you know, would I Fuckwith them?

(14:10):
You know?
Um, yeah, I, I am a very, like,honest person.
Obviously, I can just say thatyou guys don't have to believe
me, but, like, if you ask myfriends, they'll tell you I'm a
very honest person.
Um, and I just like to go withmy gut and I feel bad when I lie
about things.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
So, Um, I could sense that.
I mean you know.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
I don't know you too well, but certainly I'm glad to
feel that energy, for sure yeahso, yeah, I definitely like to
like trust my gut and, um, youknow, I trust my, my values and,
yeah, just kind of believe inmyself and be like is this right
, you know?
Do you think this is good foryou?
Yeah, okay, then go for it.
And if it doesn't work out, that's a mistake that you know I

(14:50):
have to accept and learn from.
It happens.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
Well said, everyone makes mistakes.
Mm-hmm, can I borrow like youhave a scoopy tool like a bro.
Just why?
Uh, I can.
Go get tools.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
I have my little, yeah, my little hot knife guy
didn't come prepared.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
This thing was sick.
Yeah, that was a cool littlething.
Did you call that again?
Sorry, I know it's like alittle, it's not it's like a
fugazi hot knife.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
So yeah, you can just scoop it and then hold down the
button whenever you're ready todrop it.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Oh, perfect, yeah, nice figure I a lot of work for
me.
I'm gonna ask you owners are soIngenious, yeah, innovative,
yeah, it's the best.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
That was actually how I started.
A lot of my like instagram andyoutube videos was just
showcasing fun and likeinteresting products that I
found and I was like wow, likethis is so cool, like look at
all the different ways you canuse it, or whatever.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
So yeah, believe it or not.
Like maybe we'll have toconsult you because, like
sometimes it's hard for us tofind like for us At least the
right fit of items and or likeyeah, I don't know there's just
a million items, some things I'msure you're aware.
People send you shit all thetime.
You know this is shit.
Yes.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
That's one of the things I've said no to.
A lot is accessory brands likewould I actually use this?
No, no, get it out of here.
I'm not gonna take the check, like sorry.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
There you go.
You know, there you go.
As much as I'd like to, youwould actually just never use.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
Your kind of legs?

Speaker 1 (16:11):
be real.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Yeah, exactly, I'm like you know people try to send
me like grinders all the time.
I'm like I have a $200 grinder,I'm never going to use that
like as much as you're not gonnatop a, you won't sell out for
it.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Respect for sure.
How do you?
I guess that's always a hardthing because it's it's
marketing and it's truest form.
Right, but how do you, like, measure success when people come
to you?
Or?

Speaker 2 (16:35):
Yeah, I mean numbers are definitely like the most
Pandable and like easiest, likevisible way to see that, whether
it's views, likes, clicks, um,you know there's like affiliate
links and codes and things likethat.
So there's ways to see um interms of that.
But also um Messages, likepeople will message me or like
comment or even just tell me inperson, like that you know they

(16:59):
tried something because I toldthem or you know, because they
saw me post about it, orwhatever it is Um, and whether
that's right away or down theroad, it's.
It's hard to um, I guess, gaugethat Uh, reach right away,
because sometimes it's not rightaway, it's not instant, it's
like down the road and even, like with the youtube videos, um

(17:19):
, sometimes the video will blowup like months after I posted it
and I'm like, oh okay, well, you know.
Hopping off now, yeah and thensometimes, like affiliate codes
will only be like Temporary, soit'll only be for like the first
month or something it's activeand then after that it's not
active anymore.
So there's no way to likeactually track it right.
So there are ways and thenthere aren't ways.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
No, that's, that's cool.
It's again.
It's a world that's Unfamiliarto me.
So I'm very interested have you, uh, have you noticed any new
or interesting trends kind of inlike the, the um, im
influencing space slash?
Uh, you know Trial making.
Where am I going with that?
I brain farted a little bit.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Selling a marketing weed.
Selling a marketing weed?

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Yeah, people are trying to box you in and say,
like we want you to do this.
Obviously, you have the vetopower.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, yeah, I don't like itwhen people try to like, ask me
to post or do a specific thing.
I'm like you're coming to mefor my audience and my content,
so I want to do it my way.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
Yeah, that makes sense.
You get to kind of dictate thetone, so to speak.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
Right Exactly yeah, excuse me, and then, sorry,
brain fart your question.
Oh, yes, trends in theinfluencer space.
Yeah, so, with shadow bands andsocial media being so censored
and so much censorship, there'sa lot of people kind of getting
away from showcasing the flowerand the actual products and just

(18:47):
kind of like being sneaky aboutit, either smoking and making a
meme out of it, you know, likethe TikTok trends and all that
kind of stuff like repurposingaudios to like make a joke or
showcase different things, likethat.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
Finally, it's discreet, the regulations,
essentially.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
Yeah, but it's very hard to actually show product
and be like I'm sure you guysknow this like being able to say
, come buy it here, we have thisfor sale, these are the prices.
You can't do any of that stuff.
So yeah.
So, yeah, you just have to bevery creative with it.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
Um, yeah, Good answer , you nailed it.
You're my best.
I feel like we'll leave itthere.
We'll be right back with Lumpi,All right Back of the shop, 821
Quincy West.
Follow us at higher orbit andfollow Lumpi.
We'll see you we'll be backsoon.
We'll see you soon.

(19:41):
We'll be back soon with thething.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
When are we gonna be back?

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Ah, soon, Okay cool.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
And then I got that we're gonna start with the
hashball Sweet.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
Yeah, peanut butter, mac black bean.
Yeah, we'll be right back, backfrom the set.
We back Shops closed.
Lumpi's in the house.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
Lumpi, lumpi, yeah, I was gonna say it's like that
sounded like boy I don't know.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
I guess I kind of like iterated it.
Weird, you're good.
Where were we?
We were talking about Shootingthe shit.
Shooting the shit.
I was curious, before we jumpback in, what's the update with
those plants?
Buddy Soil to oil, baby, yeah, willy's Wanderers crushing it.
We're in a vegetated still.
I started giving them like somenutrients Interesting Using

(20:41):
some good nutrients there andthey just shot right, the fuck
up, exploded, pretty dope.
They're already stinking.
It is impressive, those ACInfinity tents and the carbon
filter and the whole setup.
I improved my seal and mywindow and it doesn't really
smell at all, to be honest, butthey're stinky.

(21:02):
When I open it it's starting tostink.
We've got the sea of green netabove it.
So we're gonna start like Ithink I got some clips.
It's a lot of stuff, let'sstart lotticing them up.
And I sold a CO2 pillow thing.
What does that do?
The CO2, they love the CO2, man, fair enough, they don't need
oxygen Because they come right.
Yeah, they love it and it'sgonna make the density.

(21:24):
I think it creates the densityin the buds.
Okay, sometimes I think you getreally good homegrown and it's
super stinky and it's likesticky and all that shit.
But it's like wispy To get likethose like pro-dense and to get
your like yield up.
You know what's funny?
I think you want the CO2.
I was going home and I coulddefinitely smell some first

(21:44):
batch as a people's homegrown.
It has like a distinct kind oflike it's cropped over soon,
kind of.
You know, it's also five yearslegalization.
We were gonna touch base onthat.
We could chat about that again.
Is this something we'recelebrating?
I always have like conflictedfeelings about it.
I mean, obviously we have to.
Yeah, of course, especially assomebody like I feel like, yeah,

(22:04):
cause I, yeah, are your teammake weed illegal again?
Sorry, what do you think?
Are you team make weed illegalagain?

Speaker 2 (22:11):
I don't know.
Yeah, it's terrible.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
I should elaborate more on that.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
I mean, it's obviously like a great thing
that I mean not like, obviously, whatever.
It's great that it's like legal, you know, and it's not like
Especially considering there'sno punitive things anymore.
Yeah, yeah, especially.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
You were just in Texas, so that it's a very
different landscape.
Being a cannabis user in Texas,I can only imagine.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
Oh my gosh, yeah, terrifying.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Wow, look at that.
That's the beast.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
This is the beast.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
Yes, what are you busting up there?

Speaker 2 (22:43):
This is the fried ice cream by headwater the lovely
only strain I have been smokingsince.
I got it Shout out to headwaterso good.
I hope you guys enjoy it.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
Always super chirpy stuff.
We're so lucky to have triedthe frosted fruit cake hash
wraps that Bam made and then hehad like the caliphomins in it,
but they always do great stuffheadwater.
So definitely shout out to them.
I guess is what I was trying tosay on our landscape and our
parts of the world.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
You know I'm going legal.
I think they are so.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
Are they?

Speaker 2 (23:10):
I didn't know that I'm pretty sure they're in the
process.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
I'll be.
I look forward to that.
Yeah, I was going to say Ialways appreciate that you roll
up with like fire from bothsides, Like in fact you probably
don't remember, but I think thefirst time I met you was at
Bellwood's and you totally gaveme a nugget of space pros.
Yeah, I do remember.
There you go.
I was like oh so pumped, it wasfire.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
Yeah, and I didn't know you guys were brothers.
And then he was like, oh, yougave my brother some really good
weed.
I was like, oh, I thought youwere talking about Stan, I was
like oh, Stan's your brother,Cause I remember I was giving
you to Stan.
And then I was like go aheadand I hope you're out there,
buddy.
Oh yeah, I saw him last week.
He's great.
Good, not our IP, he's great.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
Oh, I mean wow, and the legal and the legal selling
market, for sure.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
But yeah, Texas crazy .

Speaker 1 (23:59):
I feel like you're always somebody that's really
genuine.
Thank you, I mean, there's abig compliment and we try and be
genuine and down to earth too,and I wonder if, like sometimes,
you think like, is it like anice guy finishes last mentality
, or is there like value inbeing genuine in the influencing
game?

Speaker 2 (24:18):
There's definitely value in being genuine.
I find that people like youraudience will definitely like
see through in authenticity andlike a fake personality.
So, you know, without givingtoo much of myself away to you
know, kind of protect myself incertain ways as well, I do, you

(24:39):
know, try to be as authentic andyou know, true to who I am.
Yeah, but I mean there's alsopeople who make it really big
off of like fake personas andit's all just about, like, I
guess, embodying that personaand you know whether it's like a
comedic persona or, like youknow, sometimes like a, you know

(25:00):
, a girl of five persona orwhatever it is.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
As long as you own it and roll with it, right?

Speaker 2 (25:05):
And, yeah, it's also like owning the fact that it's
not your true, authenticpersonality.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
Right.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
Trying to pass it off as something that it's not is
when it's like okay, I don'tlike that.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
Doesn't connect.
Important advice on anentrepreneurial level, you know.
And yeah, when you're justdeciding what your brand's going
to represent, that's reallyimportant, you know.

Speaker 2 (25:26):
Definitely.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
And what your values and your core stuff is.
And I always like to break outour cosmic Charlie's book and
look at that stuff sometimes andremember like, yeah, man,
that's what we fucking stand for.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
Absolutely.
You know, that's how we dothings, yeah, and that is a big
compliment coming from you guys.
So thank you.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
Absolutely Interesting.
You say that, sean.
It's funny.
We should bust that out again.
I was thinking about you, likethat one.
Well, I was just thinking aboutwhat you know Mike said the
other day, a long time ago.
But yeah, it's just like youknow.
It's important to stand forsomething and live by values,
and you know what you said aboutworking with people.
A lot of people try to pull offthat Fugazi shit.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
Pretty sure.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
How do you stay like passionate and motivated to
continue to produce Cause likeagain?

Speaker 2 (26:17):
it's something that's it's hard, it's hard everybody.
It's like scroll scroll scroll, you know.
Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (26:24):
How do you think you keep yourself relevant?

Speaker 2 (26:25):
you know, I mean, I've definitely been struggling
lately with like beingconsistent in terms of like
cleaning content both onInstagram, youtube, all that
stuff, and it has definitelybeen like lack of motivation as
well as just like being busywith work.
So, you know, I just have tokind of not have to but like
because I still want it, toenjoy it, and that's kind of why

(26:48):
I don't see me forcing contentout, but, yeah, just kind of
find my way back to enjoying itand find ways like.
Find things like whether it'schanging my content or you know,
yeah, I guess it is changing upmy content because I kind of
don't really identify with asmuch of the content that I was

(27:08):
posting before, so I kind of dowant to change it up in a sense.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
You have to evolve, right?
Isn't that part of it?

Speaker 2 (27:14):
Yeah, yeah, and part of what helps to keep you
motivated is definitely like myfriends and like my community,
but also like just getting likerandom comments from strangers
on like.
I just got a random commentfrom somebody on my Instagram
and they were like startuploading videos again and like
just getting random comments onold YouTube videos.
I'm like okay, people are stillwatching.

(27:34):
Like people care.
You know, I'm not justobviously like I'm still doing
it for me and because I enjoy it, but it just like helps to
motivate and push me that likepeople out there care and like
you know they're like hey, likewhere have you been?
I remember, like I see that youhaven't posted, even like Nico
from Canara called me out atelevate the other day.
He's like where have you been?

Speaker 1 (27:52):
You haven't been posting and I was like, oh my
God, like not him calling me out.
Yeah, that's a nice shout outto him man.
It's good if you've missed inthe community so that's a good
feeling.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
Exactly, I was like, wow, you know, I gotta get back
to it.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
Yeah, that's your own pace.
You know it's okay to struggletoo.
So if you ever get like socialanxiety, I'm so I feel like I
don't know I do.
So I was like, but I'm, youknow, I guess I'm still new to
having a podcast and trying tobe consistent, like you said.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
Yeah, like I feel like I have to have like some
big comeback post or like if I'mnot getting the same amount of
likes that I was since you knowmy last post, then you know, I
mean I try and that stuff reallydoesn't like bother me too much
.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
but Keep it rolling Exactly.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
But, like you know, it's still something that you
take note of, like oh you knowthat didn't do as well, or
whatever the thing is.
But, yeah, also like feelinglike, oh, I have to make a big
comeback after not posting for awhile.
But it's like no, you just gotto post and just get back into
it.
You know people are going to behappy to see something not
something rather than nothingbut like to see that you're back
.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
And I see is the name of the game and I think you
nailed it there and that's justtough but it is just discipline.
Yeah and yeah, working on yourcraft and going through it, and
sometimes failing, helps youevolve, right?
I guess that's what they sayfor sure, we're taking a step
back.
We're taking a step back, yeah,realigning things.

(29:17):
Yeah, if you're struggling outthere, we love you.

Speaker 2 (29:21):
Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
We're here for you, how do you kind of balance, I
guess you know promoting like apositive space and, I guess, a
positive conception of you knowweed smoking, I guess, and just
being true to you, that's a goodquestion.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
I do think I'm generally like a positive person
.
I try to look on the brightside and, you know, not let
things keep me down for too long.
But yeah, if you do follow meand keep up with my platform,
you'll see that, like I don'tusually talk a lot about like
negative things, whether it'slike negative things going on in

(30:03):
the world or like drama or oracknowledging those haters in
the comments and stuff.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
Yeah, acknowledging haters in the comments or drama
in the industry, whatever it is.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
I try to stay away from it all because you know
when I go on social media that'snot what I'm going there for.
You know, it's kind of like anescape from reality and I kind
of want that to, not that in my.
That's what I'm providing forpeople.
But you know, I try to keepeverything light and happy and
obviously sometimes we do haveto acknowledge things that are
happening in the world.
But yeah, I try to keep itpretty light and positive, for

(30:37):
the most part online, becauseit's Instagram at the end of the
day.
You know I'm just smoking weedonline, sharing my experiences,
reviews and trying tode-stigmatize as much as I can.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
Well, that's pretty dope.
That's very dope.
I feel like you do that reallywell and I was going to say that
save me, Charlie.
No, you're good.
I really had a really goodthought there.
It's going to come back to me.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
You go.
Ok, man, we smoke weed buddyyeah.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
OK, sometimes it happens, I guess.
What are some of the morememorable experiences or
collaborations that you'veworked with?
Do you have kind of some funthing that's been developing?
The name is slipping my mind, but you go live with a couple of
your friends.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
Absolutely yeah.
So sitting pretty live.
We do that every Wednesday.
It used to be Fridays when wemoved it to Wednesdays, yeah so,
yeah, that is a lot of fun.
I do that with my friend BigJade and friends who weed.
We are all like kind of spreadfar apart, like we don't live
close together, though so it'skind of hard.
We would love to do like apodcast setting like this that

(31:43):
you guys have, which is amazing, like your whole studio and
everything.
It's definitely veryaspirational, something that we
would like to you know, a levelthat we'd like to aspire to.
So right now it's just a livestream on Instagram If you guys
want to check it out at SittingPretty Live On Tuesdays.
It's on Wednesdays On.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
Wednesdays yeah on.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
Wednesdays we wear pink.
On Wednesdays we smoke weed.
We just thought it made sense.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
So we do this on.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
Wednesdays.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
That's really great.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
Yeah, so we do.
You know, we do like arts andcrafts, but also like talk about
things in the industry.
We share reviews, we'll talkabout like glass and we have
like a 7-10 episode just talkingabout like concentrate and
stuff we love to have guests on.
Yeah, it's a lot of fun.
Similar to what you guys do,but different format Awesome.

Speaker 1 (32:29):
I call one.
I had a good time watching it.
I don't think I'm like yourtarget demographic, so there you
go.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
Glad to hear that.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
Yeah, that was great.
How does Blump Boy handlepartnerships?
Sorry, I did it again.
Blump Boy, it's okay Handlepartnerships in the industry and
kind of manage thoserelationships.
Do you find it challenging oris it just kind of like natural
to you?

Speaker 2 (32:54):
It can be challenging sometimes, like navigating
brand partnerships and thingslike that.
Like expectations, like settingexpectations and stuff, or Just
kind of like being on the samepage.
Like I think I mentionedearlier about how, like, I don't
like to like abide by whatother people want me to post,
like hey, like if they hit me upand they're like, hey, like,

(33:15):
just post this and whatever.
Or like we want you to do thisin the video or whatever, and be
like, if it aligns with what Ido, like sure, but if it doesn't
, then I'm like you know, you'recoming to me from my content
and my audience, like I want todo it authentically in that way.
But in terms of likecollaborating with, like other
influencers and things like that, it comes pretty naturally.
Like I just collaborate withpeople that I'm friends with.

(33:37):
I don't usually collaboratewith people outside of that.
I mean then obviously, likebrands and stuff, but again,
it's brands that like I likebrands that I would smoke and
consume.
Products that I would use, yeah, exactly Things that I would
naturally gravitate towards, that align with me.
So it feels natural.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
How do you like find, I guess, and decide what to.
Well, I guess, what do you like?
You always have fireweed, whether it's legal or not, or
you're just like constantly onthe hunt.
I mean, I kind of know when weplay that game too.
What are you looking for?

Speaker 2 (34:13):
I guess I'm right now kind of like content with where
I'm at, because I've reallybeen loving this headwater fried
ice cream.
I have really like not stoppedsmoking it since I first tried
it, probably like early thisyear, if not like last winter,
like you know, 2022.
So I've been consistentlysmoking this for a while.
Other than that, I actuallylike concentrates.

(34:36):
You know I am definitely on thehunt for like something new,
like new fire on the legalmarket, particularly because I'm
always usually like grabbing alittle bit at a time, because if
I have a lot I will just smokeit all, like I really will.
So I like to just grab a gramhere and there and I
consistently just grab the nugs, turpol, hash, rosin.
It's just really flavorful andlike really good bang for your

(34:58):
buck.
But you know, if there'ssomething out there that's
better, everybody always has ittoo.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
It's a consistent one .
You're always disposing they docarry that.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
Exactly, that's a really nice part about that as
well.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
It won our rosin at the year last year, so yeah it
was a category that keepsgetting better Right.
So it's fun to see it continueto get better and trying all
these products.
It's absolutely wild.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely Anything new that you
guys want to share.
Um oh, I feel like they'realways seeing, like you guys are
always seeing the new stuffbecause you have the store Right
.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
So that was a fun little gem.
I mean, what the antidote?

Speaker 2 (35:37):
Oh yeah, no, that was fire, don't put me in that.
That was pretty nice, we yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
We didn't really follow up with the review of it,
but it was like a great candy.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
Yes, I'd say yeah, yeah, yeah the creamy grapes,
kind of thing the smell reallytranslated into the smoke, into
the flavor right all the way tothe end.
It was really smooth.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
Nice.
Also, what do we try some?
I got some pink that's goingaround.
If it won't, kind of pink, itis, but I'm always a big fan of
pink.
I haven't had a pink in a while.
It was like you know, worthmentioning anyways.
Yeah, yeah, you know there'slots of them, but it's been good
.
Oh, you said you triedsomething crazy at Mike's event
some jokers candy.
That was really good.
That's from the heavy, heavyshop.

Speaker 2 (36:16):
Dylan showed it Dylan was at the, the hash, the hash
that we tried from really, really good.
Right that you know it's a man.

Speaker 1 (36:25):
I believe is the hash maker Anything else right now
the Scotty, but Scotty Rosinrolls.
I like those.
They tasted fresher.
Yeah, not really a secret nowNot a set by by 1964 is pretty
good.
What else I haven't smoked weedin a while.
The death of my nice for isgood.
Did you have that yet?

Speaker 2 (36:45):
No, I don't think so.
It's more checking it up.
It's only like 30 bucks.
Okay.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
Oh, we got the Percy.
Dysfunction Junction Rosin.
Whoa you might check that out.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
I haven't heard about that one.
Yeah, we have a couple of jars, yeah okay, damn, it was really
good.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
Mm-hmm, that's what checking out?

Speaker 2 (37:00):
I would say so how long is your break been going on
?
You said you have it smoked ina while.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
Oh, 30 days.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
Wow, do you have like a Goal or an end date?

Speaker 1 (37:08):
It's just one more day.
Okay, wow, no one Each timeyou're farther there but yeah,
he's never saying never, buthe's just going for a bit.
Yeah, cool.
Yeah, probably longest havegone, in incredibly long time
and how's your experience withthat been?
Yeah, what's in the mostchallenging?
They preach early Mm-hmm.
Uh, it is a struggle.
The first 14 days are brutal.

(37:29):
No no, I yeah Mostly thephysiological effects, so like
stomach, sleep, sweats, mentaltension.
There's a lot.
You got a lot of physical stuffin you.
Yeah, well, there's a lot ofmental too, that goes with that.
The physical is just very likeapparent when you're going
through it.
So right, but it's good, I'mfeeling pretty good about it,

(37:52):
yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
I can really relate to that.
The last time I had a break,which was like 2017, I went
through a lot of those likephysical symptoms, yeah, a lot
of like anxiety, not being ableto sleep.
I like cried a lot.
I don't know if it was justlike emotions or what, but yeah.
I'm not being able to be beingvulnerable, yeah, so that is
definitely part of you know tobe more vulnerable, part of why

(38:16):
I don't take a break.
Yeah, I don't want to go back tothat feeling, but also it's
like once you're past thathurdle, it's like you don't want
to go back to being dependenton it.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
Yeah, that's getting to the real side yeah we can't
have a consumption, that's okay,when you're happy, hitter.
It doesn't talk like that.
So yeah, for sure I think youjust go through the feels more,
and then you said that to you.
I don't know and maybe thatkind of goes with crying.
It makes sense like I feel likeI've taken a couple days here
and there and things just hityou harder sometimes.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
Like like whenever.

Speaker 1 (38:44):
I had come no, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
Whenever I'm having like a tough moment, all like
smoke a dab or smoke a blunt,and I don't, I numb the emotion
Right.
So you have, you have to feelthe emotion unless you're, like
you know, numbing it some otherway.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
But there are worse ways.
Let's be real.

Speaker 2 (38:57):
Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 1 (38:59):
You're 100% right, mm-hmm.
Yeah, no, it's good once in awhile.
Gotta, take a break, gotta youknow, everyone's got to help is
important.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
Yeah, definitely check in with your relationship
with the plant.

Speaker 1 (39:09):
You got it right.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1 (39:11):
Make sure it's still a secret to you.
Yeah, that was a greatconversation.

Speaker 2 (39:16):
Interesting segue.

Speaker 1 (39:18):
The interesting segue will leave out there.
We'll be right back on higherit's balloon.
We got a bag.
Fucking nice cone with thatfried ice cream Mm-hmm.
She was oh, do your roll.
No, no filter, I like it.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
Yeah, that's how I roll.

Speaker 1 (39:34):
Don't forget she's the official beverage of higher
a bit.

Speaker 2 (39:36):
Cheers.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
We're back Just talking about how much we love
weed.
Just talking about how much welove weed.

Speaker 2 (39:47):
Nothing else pretty much.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
That was pretty good.
Thanks for all that tastybackward.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
Mm-hmm, god, you liked it.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
Yeah, yeah, I'm young , fried ice cream, my go-to
combo.
I did have.
What was I gonna say?
I think, like your second, yourpassion is music.
Oh, your second passion, I meanI Were we With that Snoop Dogg
concert together.
I enjoyed that experience.
Mm-hmm, I know you're kind ofworking, but they definitely go.

Speaker 2 (40:15):
I still got to enjoy a lot of it, so that was really
cool.

Speaker 1 (40:17):
That was a cool experience.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
Yeah, and definitely goes hand-in-hand right Speaking
of.

Speaker 1 (40:21):
I thought it was kind of interesting that that jar
has a music pairing on it, whichis oh yes, which is kind of
just phantom.
And we had a small gift for you.
I got a rip tip for you.

Speaker 2 (40:30):
Oh, wow.

Speaker 1 (40:32):
Shout out to go to scientific in the rip tips.
Do you know?
Which color do you want?

Speaker 2 (40:36):
Is that just like a clear, clear one?

Speaker 1 (40:38):
and there's one like a chartreuse.
That's also a reminder that ifyou want to shoot us a question,
you could win a rip tip.

Speaker 2 (40:45):
So I was.

Speaker 1 (40:47):
Charlie at higher orbit dot ca.

Speaker 2 (40:49):
Wow, that's so cool.

Speaker 1 (40:52):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (40:52):
I'll go for the clear one.

Speaker 1 (40:53):
All right.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
Thank you.
These are so cool.
I've like smoked out of these, like other people rolling them,
but I've never had my own.
So thank you guys.
So much yeah excellent.

Speaker 1 (41:02):
We leave empty-handed , we'll give you the mug.
You can't leave without a mug.

Speaker 2 (41:05):
Oh my gosh, you guys are too kind.
I'm just happy to be here.

Speaker 1 (41:11):
Speaking of concerts.
Oh yeah, you just had a prettywild trip yourself down south.
You said right.

Speaker 2 (41:16):
Yes, yes, I got to go see Beyonce and then, oh, had a
my closest interaction with thelaw on the way back from the
concert.

Speaker 1 (41:25):
Oh no.
Yeah well, first of all, how isthe Beyonce concert?
That's the fun part of thestory.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
Oh my god.
Like, truly amazing.
Like they do not call her aqueen for no reason.

Speaker 1 (41:35):
Like sure she's dope.

Speaker 2 (41:37):
Honestly like speechless, like she's so
amazing.
There's actually gonna be aconcert movie coming out about
this whole.
Yeah okay, like December 1st, Ithink, so look up for that.
Make sure you get your ticketsin theater in the theater near
you your first time seeing herthis time yeah yeah, first time
and yeah, I was in Houston, herhometown, which was really cool.

(41:57):
My friend lives in Austin andshe got tickets and she's like
come visit, so we went and then.
So Houston is three hours awayfrom Austin, so we drove and
Cannabis is decriminalized there, but yeah, but in Houston only
in Texas like overall.
Yeah, so it's decriminalized, but not like vapes and Edibles

(42:19):
and I guess like dabs too.
That stuff is like a felony.
So we had some weed on us andwe were smoking in the car.
It was my friends friends carand there was four of us,
basically all girls, and it waslike four in the morning.
Okay, we're driving back fromthis Beyonce concert.
It's like three hours long.
We're smoking in the car andI'm not thinking anything of it

(42:41):
because they're from here.
So if they're okay with doingit, I'm just going along with it
right.
Anyways.
So I guess a cop was going downthe road the opposite way from
us and and we were going alittle bit too fast, they guess
we pulled us over.
Yeah, stank like weed, like wehad finished smoking the blunt
like a little bit ago, but likeit's still stunk in there, like

(43:03):
we didn't really air it out oranything, which like big mistake
.
And I was like they were likeoh, somebody get perfumes.
I pulled, went into my bag, pulled up perfume, starts
bringing like crazy.
Ah.
And then I'm like tucking itback into my bag and the cop
comes on my side, he comes to mywindow, tells me to roll my
window down.
He's like what are you tuckinginto your bag?
I smell weed.
Is that we were talking intoyour bag?
And I was like no, I actuallydidn't have weed in my bag.

(43:24):
No, like that's not what it was, it's just my bag.
And then he gets the.
He tells the driver to get outand pulls her aside and like
asked her questions.
We thought he's gonna make herdo like a sobriety test, but I
guess he asked her if there wasany weed in the car.
He's like I smell weed.
Do you have weed?
Tell me, because I'm gonna findit.
So she said, yeah, I think wehave a couple grams.
So he tells us all to get out ofthe car, out for in the morning

(43:47):
on the side of the road Whilehe searches the car.
So he's searching the car andthen like deep searching the car
, like there's a pack of Cloroxwipes and he's opening it up,
like looking into the wipes, like everything Okay, and the
other cop is like talking to us,like being friendly, but I like
watch a lot of you know copinterviews and stuff and I'm

(44:08):
like it's a good cop, bad coproutine.
He's trying to be friendly withus and make us comfortable and
like fade ourselves out.
So I was just like zipped andmy friend was like oh, I was
like shut up, like I heard down, you know.
The cop was like oh, sorry forannoying you and I was like oh,
my god, no, like just not tryingto be here right now, you know
being like I'm from Canada, likeI don't want to be here, like

(44:29):
I'm scared I'm gonna getdeported and like arrested, like
ban from America.
And they keep telling us likeDo you have any vapes or edibles
?
Like vapes and edibles are afelony.
So like you guys, better, don'thave vapes and edibles, you're,
you're gonna go to jail, likethreatening us and we had a vape
in the car.
So we're like terrified, likeoh my god, I'm gonna find the
vape because he's deep searchingthe car.
We're like, how's he not gonnafind it?
We're terrified, after like 20,30 minutes of searching, he

(44:53):
pulls out like all the weekbecause we like, we're upfront,
we like handed him over the weedbefore even search the car.
We're like, here you go, sir, here's the weed.
So he comes up and he's likealright, like I want you guys to
dump out the weed and likecrush it up, like step on it,
basically, and I'll and I'll letyou go.
Like not even a speeding ticket, which we were going like 10
miles over the speeding limit.
I guess, yeah, no, speedingticket, no, nothing, you didn't

(45:16):
find the vape.
I don't know how, um.

Speaker 1 (45:18):
I guess you guys cooperated.
You're lucky you didn't findthe vape though exactly like the
.
You know what.
That brings up a really crazystory, and I'll tell it now.
Should we tell it surely?
No, absolutely not.
Um, as juicy as it sounds, Idon't think so.
That's wild.
I mean, how lucky are we to bein Canada?
They really seem like they baityou out, and that is like a

(45:39):
technique that they do.
They're trying to like justruffle your feathers and Even
though you didn't really like doanything wrong as far as I'm
concerned.
Mm-hmm, they make you feel likeyou're guilty.
It's just, yeah, it doesn'tmake any sense.

Speaker 2 (45:52):
Mm-hmm, yeah, yeah it was.
Yeah, my, it was terrifying.
We're all really scared.
My friend, like works with kids, so she was scared like her
life was over.
And I and like right before Ihad gone to Texas, I was in the
car with a friend and we gotpulled over for a speeding
ticket here.
Not that we're smoking the car,so it didn't smell or anything,
but the experience with the copwas so different and Like she

(46:14):
was going like 50 over the limitand he only gave her a ticket
for going like 10 over.
Like he was so nice and he'slike as soon as he walked up,
he's like, just so, you know, Ihave a body cam on, everything
is being recorded.
I mean, well, like they didn'tdo any of that and like I was
also like when they were talkingto Canada this time.
Yeah, so yeah excuse me whenwe're in Canada.
Yeah, he was like, you know, body cam, whatever he didn't.
They didn't do any of that inTexas.

(46:34):
I don't know if they did have acamera or anything.
But the other thing I was alsothinking was the whole time was
like anything I say candy willbe used against me.
You know, like they're probablyrecording me right now, so it's
like literally tight-lipped.
But yeah, just like thecontrast of that situation was
so crazy, to me very cool.
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (46:54):
I've had a few encounters, but we don't need to
.
I don't personally want to getinto it.

Speaker 2 (46:59):
No, that's fine for another day.

Speaker 1 (47:01):
Yeah, exactly it's fun.
Yeah, what it's fun.
Sean's like itching to tell thestory.

Speaker 2 (47:06):
No, it's all good, it's all good.
Yeah, I know, it's all good nowI can look back and laugh at it
, but like, yeah in the moment, exactly nothing really happened.

Speaker 1 (47:17):
I'm so glad that you know, you're.

Speaker 2 (47:21):
Didn't find the fucking vape, so I don't know if
he was just being nicer.
He just didn't find it, butdamn without selling too much
detail.

Speaker 1 (47:27):
Yeah, no, no, yeah, sorry, now we're gonna get back
on track.
Buddy, you're fixated.
So what do we think?
What are some of the things?
What do you guys think about?
We already talked aboutlegalization five years.
We kind of did already, didn'twe?

(47:49):
Yeah, we touched on it, that'sfor sure.
We're at the stony part of it.

Speaker 2 (47:54):
Gas, in case you don't realize most deep.
Yeah, dubs.

Speaker 1 (47:59):
How would you say, like your perception, I guess,
of Any cannabis user, a stoner'schanged over the five years of
legalization?
Right, like, obviously used todeal with, still deal with some
black market folks we do too.
How do you see that that beingtransformed?

Speaker 2 (48:18):
I mean in terms of like, my perception of like
cannabis users, like from when Iwas working at that Dispensary
for that brief time that I wasthere, even though it was an
illegal shop like just seeingall the different types of
people that would come in there, whether it was a young person,
an older person, you know peoplefrom all different walks of
life were coming into that store.
So that just like really openedmy eyes to like Anybody uses

(48:40):
cannabis, not even just smokes, weed, but like topicals, edibles
, you know, vapes, all the above.

Speaker 1 (48:45):
What was the scene like in Houston?
How was the weed?
That's what I wanted to ask.
I guess we're hard to say whatwas the weed that you toss out?
Was it a sad one?
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (48:53):
yeah, no, it wasn't.
It wasn't too much of a loss, but Just pricey in terms of like
cuz I'm paying American dollars, think about that.
So 150 announce Americandollars.
Yeah, it was only a couplegrams that we had to throw out,
so it wasn't too bad.
But yeah, not great, like trulynot like very mids, like very

(49:13):
low level, like probably likesome pure sun farms type of
stuff, you know.

Speaker 1 (49:17):
All right, fair enough.
I was driving the shirt, ironically rocking the shirt.

Speaker 2 (49:21):
They have good branding.
They do have your branding.
Yes, sorry, but we like thatteam.

Speaker 1 (49:25):
It's all good yeah.
Well, you know, they know whatthey are right Again, I've said
this time and time againDifferent stuff exactly.
Yeah, I know like people.

Speaker 2 (49:34):
There's a market out there for that too, right, yeah.
And yeah, back to about Likeblack market.
It's definitely evolved a lot.
Like you know, when I wassmoking back in the day, my I
would just be like I want $80worth of weed, and it's not like
what kind of weed or likewhat's straight or none of that.
And now I can like go online.
Even though it's black market,I can still go online and look

(49:56):
at the strings and look at likethe lineage and the grower and
Ordered online and get itshipped in the mail.
So it's really cool.

Speaker 1 (50:03):
Do you worry about the like carrying your Blunt Bay
persona when you're likecrossing the border?
Is that like something crossesyour mind?
You worry about it too, Like Idon't know?
I guess I try and Hide my stuff.

Speaker 2 (50:14):
I think about it, so yeah yeah, I mean I feel like
I'm not that famous that likepeople would know about me, but
like I definitely like I have alittle necklace that says blunt
Bay and it's like not that it'slike a big old chain that
everybody's looking at.
But when I was going throughthe airport I definitely like
tuck it into my shirt and I waslike not gonna attract any
unnecessary attention to myself.
I yeah, this is early care.

Speaker 1 (50:37):
Those guys kind of tend to usually be a bit of
dicks, and again they're liketrying to choke you up so that
you say something like you know?
Where do you work?
What do you do?
Oh blunt, what's up with that?
Right exactly.
It's a pretty weird thing, butI'm glad we're moving away from
that, and hopefully the US doesat some point too I mean at
their own pace, I guess.
But yeah they'll figure it outat some point.

Speaker 2 (50:58):
Hopefully.

Speaker 1 (51:00):
Is there anything new and upcoming next year?
You got going on any events or.

Speaker 2 (51:05):
Um, probably gonna plan another art of the blunt.
You know, celebrating blunts, blunt rolling, all that kind of
stuff probably gonna be eitherlike late fall, winter this year
.

Speaker 1 (51:15):
Right, because you've done some of that stuff before.
You like teach people how toroll blunts and stuff, right?

Speaker 2 (51:19):
Yeah, just teaching, also doing like rolling
competitions, just like you know, celebrating the blunt in all,
if all of its forms, like youknow, bam in the hash rolls and
Torsee with his beautiful cigarrolls and all that type of stuff
, that's a lot of fun.
Yeah, that'll probably becoming up soon.
Keep up with me on Instagramfor all that stuff.

(51:40):
At blunt underscore, bayunderscore.
I got to type in the full name.

Speaker 1 (51:44):
I love it.
Don't forget follow her there,guys.

Speaker 2 (51:47):
Yeah, and then you can also hit me up for the
hoodies and the merch and allthat stuff.
I don't have a website just yet, so if you are interested, just
hit me up in the DMs yeah andwho.

Speaker 1 (51:58):
Yeah, I really like the design, like how did you
come up with that?
The creative and all that kindof stuff.

Speaker 2 (52:03):
It's just kind of like the vibe that I've been
feeling.
I guess is just like floralsand bubbly letters, that like
kind of 80s vibes.
But it was designed by a localartist.
You can check him out onInstagram same Shane, different
day.
He's a photographer, a graphicdesigner all the above.
Yeah, he's awesome.
He's really sweet.
He did my logo for me.

(52:24):
I can't even remember how longago it was.

Speaker 1 (52:26):
It was a while ago now.
Yeah, very cool.
I must have been fun workingwith him.
I haven't seen him in a while,but I think he's like one of the
few you know, like Stan he youknow.

Speaker 2 (52:36):
He's all over the place.
He's like in differentindustries too, with his
photography, which is reallycool.

Speaker 1 (52:41):
Yeah, I love Shane.
He does some really good stuff.
I think he kind of took a breakfrom the industry and doing
some other photography and stuff, but maybe I could be wrong.

Speaker 2 (52:48):
But yeah, shane love you, buddy yeah.

Speaker 1 (52:53):
What is, what are like, your pinnacle moments as
an influencer.
What are like some, some ofyour most memorable kind of like
?
You know, I'll never forgetthat kind of thing.

Speaker 2 (53:02):
Definitely like the events you know hosting the
blunt rolling seminar with GoldSeal cigars and they've done a
few events with blunt talk.

Speaker 1 (53:12):
Really cool people you've gotten to meet or
anything like that.

Speaker 2 (53:16):
Oh yeah, I got to meet Tony Yeo, which was really
cool on 420.
That was like unexpected.
I went to you know Che, oh,yeah, yeah, so okay, and like
cookies, they were doing a partyand yeah, Jaden, she's always
got the in on the cool events,so she got us into the back and
we got to.
I got to sit down and meet andsmoke a blunt with Tony Yeo,

(53:37):
which was really cool.
And I met 50 Cent, like a longtime ago when I was like a
teenager.

Speaker 1 (53:42):
So I'm like two members of GU and it, there we
go, practically right.
Yeah, awesome.

Speaker 2 (53:48):
Also like getting to work.
The Snoop Dogg concert wasreally cool.
I got to work the Snoop Doggand Wiz Khalifa concert but also
just like worked basically atthe beginning of it and then
just like got to enjoy the restof it.
So it's cool getting to worklike a concert that I would have
wanted to, you know, buy aticket to and, yeah, just
working with really cool brands, like you know, g-pen cookies,

(54:11):
canada, not quite America justyet, but soon hopefully.
Yes, and I'm having a brainfart now Black Market, you know.

Speaker 1 (54:20):
Yeah, it's hard to work with those guys.
I feel like they're kind oftight lipped, so they're with
them.
I think you're doing somethingright.

Speaker 2 (54:27):
Yeah, I'd like to think so.

Speaker 1 (54:29):
Lots of the top brands Definitely awesome.
