(00:01):
Hi, welcome back to day three ofFoundation with Hope.
Yesterday we spoke about the power of breathing and
discovering your purpose by spending time with God.
I'm glad you decided to come back today and allow your color
to deepen. OK, find yourself a comfortable

(00:24):
seat and let's go ahead and get started.
Take a few nice deep breaths in through the nose and out through
the mouth. Make them deep and make them
feel good, expanding the lungs on the inhale and letting go on

(00:47):
the exhale. On that next exhale, let the
eyes gently close like the sunsets.
Let go of the breath and let it pick up a nice natural rhythm,

(01:10):
effortless and notice the body and let the body become heavy.
Begin to let go. Feel the muscles begin to

(01:31):
loosen. Soften the face and the neck and
let the shoulders relax down theback.

(01:53):
Let go of the arms and the hands.
Soften the chest in the stomach, feel the legs heavy and soften

(02:14):
down to the feet. Feel the body and feel the space
around the body. Now bring your awareness to the

(02:38):
breath. Simply noticing the breath and
not trying to change it. Notice the rise and fall of the
chest. Notice the rhythm of the breath.

(03:11):
Listen to that soft sound of thebreath.
And now for a moment or two, letgo of any focused attention on
the breath, allowing your awareness to rest.

(03:45):
Gently bring your awareness to rest with this verse.
People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that
comes from the mouth of God. And again, people do not live by

(04:08):
bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of
God. When making a tough decision,

(04:30):
you often hear people say sleep on it.
And generally that's pretty goodadvice.
It takes time to process what you're thinking and how that
aligns with what you're feeling.By meditating, you're attempting

(04:51):
to form new, healthy relationships with your thoughts
and emotions. The idea is to just recognize
your thoughts and leave them where they are.
Be easy with them. If you feel your thoughts

(05:11):
drifting, just bring your awareness back to the breath.
Come back to the body. Those thoughts aren't going
anywhere and dwelling on them won't bring them to a conclusion

(05:32):
any sooner. Mindfulness is about choosing to
be present in your life and observing the moment as it is,
observing your emotions as they are.
They may still be there, but you're just noticing them,

(05:55):
freeing your awareness and opening yourself up to change.
Like most people, your life is probably full of distractions,
whether that's a busy mind or a busy calendar.

(06:18):
By choosing to spend time with God, you're allowing His natural
calm to permeate your life. All you have to do is rest, and
everything else will take care of itself.

(06:39):
Jesus wants you to be truly alive, not just simply exist.
Surely you can exist on bread alone, but without God you will
never truly live. Spending this time in meditation

(07:05):
allows you to reconnect. It allows our color to deepen
and our purpose to be revealed. God designed us with a need to
rest and recharge. The sheer noise of life will

(07:27):
distort your vision and perspective by adopting a habit
of solitude and prayer. You'll find life by reconnecting
to the source of life. Many times God's voice comes in

(07:47):
intuitions and soft whispers. If you never take the time to
listen, you may never hear it. Enjoy this moment of peace.
Allow this calm to rest with your awareness.

(08:12):
Let God's love revive you and fill you with new life.

(08:38):
Jesus, calm my busy mind. Help me let go and let you into
my heart. Give me the strength and
discipline to spend time with You every day.
Help me recognize Your love in my life.

(09:10):
Gently bring your awareness backto the body, back to the feeling
of weight, and for a moment backto the breath.

(09:31):
Take a deep breath in and slowlyopen the eyes and sit back in
your chair. Let go.
Give yourself a stretch if it feels good.
Remember, as you go about your day, if you start to get
stressed or overwhelmed with your emotions, you can always

(09:55):
find calm with God. Take care.
We'll see you back tomorrow for Day 4 Foundation.
