The Bible clearly teaches anddemonstrates that God is made up
of three distinct persons, eachwith unique functions, yet all
as part of one God.

You know, it's possible for usnow, through the blood of
Christ, to enter the verypresence of God.
What was called in the OldTestament the Holy of Holies.
Here are the dills to tell usabout that.

In the Holy of Holies, behind the heavy veil,
sat the Ark of the Covenantwhere the Most High went, and
only the high priest could enterthe rim to offer up the

But the truth is, the HolySpirit is as much a person of
the Godhead as God the Fatherand God the Son.
He is vitally important to yourconversion and subsequent life
as a Christian.

We Christians believe that Godis one, but we further believe
that He has revealed Himself tous in three ways.

Do we submit to God the HolySpirit, allowing him to be our
strength, enlighten ourignorance, mold our wills, and
keep us in unity with followersof Christ throughout the world?
Are we merely God seekers?
Or are we God-possessed,God-led, and God empowered?

As we read through Scripture, wediscover in the Old Testament
that the Holy Spirit was withpeople.
He was with the Israelites.
He was with King David.
But in the New Testament, withthe coming of Christ, we see
something new.
We see that the Holy Spirit isnow in God's people.
This is possible because JesusChrist has offered his life on

of Pentagon.
It's a time when we can rejoicein the Lord and with the Lord.
I wish I could do that all thetime.

The good news is that throughfaith and Christ we are forgiven
of our sin.
And now God the Holy Spiritcomes and lives in each one of

The author was George Crawley,who was born in Dublin in 1780.
His father was a physician, butGeorge decided to become a
physician of souls.
He was ordained into theAnglican ministry when he
graduated from Trinity Collegein 1804.

There was no church available tohim at the time, so he moved to
London where he began writing.
There he developed a respectedreputation as a gifted man of
words.
Eventually, George was assignedto St.
Stephen's, a church in the slumsof London that had been closed
for over a hundred years.
As he began preaching eloquentsermons, without notes, the

crowds came.
His energy seemed boundless.
He turned out seemingly endlesscompositions of hymns, dramas,
biographies, historical andtheological works, sermons and
novels.
In 1854, George published avolume of hymns, but before it
was released, a fire broke outand destroyed most of the

copies.
However, one hymn from this bookstill lives on today.
In this hymn, George Crawley'sprayer is to the Holy Spirit,
and it's based on Galatians5.25, where we read that if we
live in the Spirit, let us alsowalk in the Spirit.

His name comes from the Hebrewword rua.

Ruah.
It means the wind of the spirit.

In our age of green energy, weare discovering a great deal
about the power of the wind.
The tornadoes of the past numberof years have proven the
strength of the wind, the powerto move whole houses,
apartments, and oceans.
It has been given to you forpower.
Not the power to dominate orcontrol or cohort.

It has rather the power to belike Christ.
The power to serve, the power tohold on to God in the midst of a
difficult situation.
The power to love your enemy.
You have been given power in theperson of the Holy Spirit to
live the Christian life and belike Christ.

will see the truth of Christ.
We cannot produce the Christlife on our own.
It is only as we allow the HolySpirit to have full control of

You have his spirit living inyou.
But as I mentioned earlier, thequestion is are we allowing his
presence to dominate our lives?
It is impossible.
I want to ignore him.

You know what fire does.
And when we cleanse him, when wereject him, we're in great
danger of living in sin and notprogressing in our Christian

life so that we become more andmore like Christ.
The warmest people I know arepeople who have allowed the Holy
Spirit to fully reign in theirlives.
So the question, it's not, doyou have the whole of the Holy

Spirit?
The question is, does the HolySpirit have the whole of you?

You have his spirit living inyou.
But as I mentioned earlier, thequestion is are we allowing his
presence to dominate our lives?
It is impossible.
I want to ignore him.

You know what fire does.
And when we cleanse him, when wereject him, we're in great
danger of living in sin and notprogressing in our Christian

life so that we become more andmore like Christ.
The warmest people I know arepeople who have allowed the Holy
Spirit to fully reign in theirlives.
So the question, it's not, doyou have the whole of the Holy

Spirit?
The question is, does the HolySpirit have the whole of you?
