Have you ever wondered how someone becomes an internationally recognized spiritual guide? Emma Mumford's journey from "Queen of Coupons" to "Queen of Spirituality" delivers powerful proof that rock bottom can become the foundation for extraordinary transformation.

Emma shares her remarkable story—from taking on £7,000 of someone else's debt at age 18 to building a couponing empire with half a million followers, before experiencing a profound spiritual awakening during her darkest moments. Her candid account of suicidal thoughts turning into spiritual discovery offers hope for anyone struggling with their own challenges.

What makes Emma's approach to manifestation unique is her ability to simplify complex spiritual concepts into practical steps anyone can follow. In her latest book, "Aligned Abundance", she expands the traditional manifestation formula (ask, believe, receive) into five essential steps: ask, believe, trust, let go, and receive—addressing the critical gap between believing and receiving that trips up so many manifestation practitioners.

The conversation delves into embodiment—a crucial yet often misunderstood aspect of manifestation. Emma clarifies that it's not about "spending as if" you already have what you desire, but rather "feeling as if" and integrating the energy of your desires. This subtle but powerful distinction changes everything about how manifestation works in real life.

Perhaps most enlightening is Emma's perspective on what we're really manifesting: "It's never the money that we want. It's a feeling or experience that the money can bring us." By focusing on the emotional essence behind our desires rather than the physical form, we open ourselves to infinite possibilities for fulfillment.

Emma's new book "Aligned Abundance" explores nervous system regulation, embodiment, and alignment—three elements rarely discussed in manifestation literature but essential for sustainable results. If you've tried manifesting without success or feel stuck in patterns that block abundance, this conversation offers fresh insights to transform your practice.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
I have this ability to take really complex things
and simplify them into reallytangible ways that people can
just be like oh, I get it.
Of course, that's exactly whatI've got to do.
So for me it was more about Iwant to take these really out
there concepts and make themreally attainable and accessible
for people, because I don'twant people giving up on

(00:21):
manifesting, because itabsolutely does work, but
because they're maybe notunderstanding or hearing it from
a perspective that theyresonate with or that it clicks
in them.
They're then thinking, oh well,it's not for me.
You know it works for everybodyelse, but it's not for me.
So I feel like you know evennow, you know if it's
manifesting, if it's anythingthat you want to start or you

(00:42):
have a calling or passiontowards, you know nobody is
going to share it like you will.
Nobody is going to share it inthe same energy as you, like
nobody can be you.

Speaker 2 (00:56):

inspired by this week's guest.
Welcome to the House of Germarpodcast where wellness starts
within.
I'm your host, jean Collins, and today we are talking about
my favorite subjectmanifestation, the law of
attraction.
And we are doing that with EmmaMumford, and I am just honored

(01:42):
that she is on my show because, folks, not only is she just the
queen of spirituality, she isjust an amazing entrepreneur,
and her journey to being anentrepreneur, her journey in
embracing manifestation andreally helping the world
understand the powers withinthemselves, is just so inspiring
.
And she has a new book comingout which we are recording
before the book is out, but thiswill launch right after the

(02:05):
book comes out, so I can't waitto dig into her new book.
So, emma, welcome to the show.
Thank you so much for having me.
Jean.
How are you doing?
Oh, I am so great.
I read your book.
So here everybody, for peoplethat are watching, and we're
going to tag this PositivelyWealthy.
I read that at the beginning ofJanuary of 2024.

(02:27):
And at the end of 2024, I puttogether a list of my favorite
books of the year and I happento list yours as one of my
favorite books because you walkpeople through every day, things
to do to manifest abundancewithin your life, for wealth and
your life, and it was such awell-written.
I did all the stuff.
I did the moon rituals, I didthe writing yourself a check and
putting it in your wallet.
I did all the stuff and I foundit was just really powerful.

(02:48):
And your delivery and the wayyou write is amazing.
So I am so excited for yournewest book, aligned Abundance.
I cannot wait.
We are going to get into that, but before we do, let's share
with everybody your journey, because you did not start out as
the queen of spirituality andthe queen of manifesting and the
law of attraction.
So if you wouldn't mind, if youcould share a little bit about

(03:09):
your journey and how you got tobe where you are today.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Yeah, so I was actually known as the queen of
coupons, ironically before thequeen of spirituality.
So, really, my journey startsback in 2012, when I was working
as a banking manager in awell-known bank here in the UK.
Not a career that I aspired to,not something that I ever saw
myself getting into, but I wasjust kind of falling into jobs,

(03:32):
falling into corporate jobs androles and kind of finding my
feet at such a young age as well, having not gone to university
or anything.
I was in that job in my firstnot so great relationship and at
the end of that relationship Itook out well, obviously, before
we broke up, I took out a loanof over 7,000 pounds worth of
money to cover his debt.
We were having debt collectorsturn and put the door, and that

(03:54):
was a lot for an 18 year old tobe going through.
Obviously, you're like what ishappening?
How would you deal with thesethings?
It was kind of, you know, really thrust me into adulthood
of dealing with, you know, asituation that I just had never
dealt with before.
So, being the practical Virgothat I am, I was like well, I
get preferential rates in my job.
Why don't we take out a loan?
I'll take it out in my name.

(04:15):
We can pay it off.
Then you can pay me back.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
And in my head.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
It sounded like such a great idea.
Such a great idea, such a greatidea.
But you can imagine whathappened straight afterwards.
The relationship broke down andstill to this day he's never
paid a penny of that loan.
So 18 years old, I've got sevengrand debt which wasn't even
mine but now is legally myresponsibility to clear.
I am experiencing cripplinganxiety and depression.

(04:39):
At that time as well, I couldn'teven then go into my job at the
bank because I was having panicattacks every single day and
looking back it's so clear tosee why I was because I was
going into work and beingtargeted to put people in debt.
So you can imagine I'm in debt,I'm putting people in debt, I'm
seeing people's triggers aroundmoney all day long, then being

(05:00):
triggered by it myself.
So it was just a recipe fordisaster at that point in my
life to be in that role.
So I left that job and just gota part-time retail job just to
start clearing this debt, getmyself sorted after the breakup
and moving back home.
So that was kind of like thebig first awakening, so to speak
.
And in that period I foundextreme couponing, which in the

(05:23):
States is obviously well known, but in the UK nobody was
couponing.
It was such a taboo here and Ithought, well, if the Americans
can do it, so incredible, like, surely we can do it here in the
UK.
So I took it upon myself tofind coupons and discounts and
freebies and things like that tojust help myself in that
financial debt and get out ofdebt, because that was the only

(05:47):
way that I really could get outof that debt at that time.
So after six months, my friendsare like Emma, you've got this
whole stockpile, this wholespare room of stuff.
You know.
Like you're really good at this.
Like, can we have some stuff?
And also, can you share thiswith people?
Like people probably would loveto know how to do this?
I was like, well, who am I toshare about couponing?

(06:07):
We've got money saving expertshere in the UK.
Who am I to do that?
So after a lot of pestering, Idid start up a Facebook group
and it was called ExtremeCouponing and Dealers UK and
within six months it had over100,000 followers.
I was then invited on nationalTV here in the UK.
I was presenting on thisMorning, which is a huge daytime
TV show here, and it was just abit wild, to be honest, to have

(06:30):
gone from having panic attacksin the toilet at work in the
bank to being on national TVhelping people save money in six
months.
It was just bizarre and I felttotally like an imposter, being
like hell.
I'm not an expert in money atall, clearly, but I'm here just
trying to help myself get out ofa really shitty situation and
trying to help other people dothe same.

(06:52):
So I ran that business for sixyears and by the time I came to
sell it in 2018, it had overhalf a million followers and it
helped so many people do exactlywhat I'd done save for
financial goals in their lifeand all kinds of things and it
really gave me such a purpose tobe able to help people and help

(07:12):
myself get out of thatsituation as well.
So I never went into it thinkingit could be a business
Absolutely not.
I had no idea you could make abusiness out of couponing, but
about a year in and I alwayscall this like a guardian angel
moment a year into running thatbusiness, I get this message
from this man and he says oh,emma, you realize you could be
affiliate marketing your wholebusiness and turn it into a

(07:34):
business and earn money for allthe things you already do.
And of course, I was like herewe go, here's the scammers, like
what does this man want from me?
This is a big old scam.
And he was like, no, like Iactually have a group, you can
come and join my group.
And like see me doing it.
And like I'll tell you thesites to sign up to.
And for some reason, I trustedthis man and was like, okay, I

(07:54):
will trust your wisdom.
And within two weeks he'd setme up with everything and I'd
signed up and they were alllegit websites, all legit
affiliate marketing websites.
And about a month in, I wasearning more than I'd ever
earned in a corporate job or anyother role that I'd had.
So I was like, wow, like I'mrunning a business, I've got
money, I can clear my debt.
This is incredible.

(08:14):
So I went back to go and thankhim.
Like I wanted to send himsomething to just say thank you
for showing me how to do this.
He didn't have to do that atall and you know this, he didn't
have to do that at all.
And a selfless person justwanted to help me to create a
business.
And I went back.
The group was gone.
His Facebook profile was gone.
Every single part of him waswiped from the Facebook, the

(08:36):
internet, everywhere.
I could not find this man andstill to this day I cannot find
his profile, so I'm convinced itwas a guardian angel moment of
like.
This is what you're meant to bedoing, Emma, so that always
really gives me the shivers oflike.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
I was going to say I have goosebumps as you were
telling this story.
I literally have goosebumps allover, Wow.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Because it was just so random, like who, with an
established business, justdeletes everything off Facebook
and I did check for multipleprofiles in case he blocked me
and he definitely hadn't blockedme, so it was just coincidence.
It was just whatever it was,but I love to see it as a
guardian angel moment.
So I was running my businessfor six years and then 2016 is

(09:17):
when I had my spiritualawakening, and this was again,
ironically, at the end of a notso great relationship.
This time my anxiety anddepression had continued over
that period and I think it was aweird time because I think a
lot of people would look at mylife and think well, you know,
you've got an incrediblysuccessful six figure business.
You're like 20 years old, you're presenting on this

(09:38):
morning, you're doing all theseincredible things.
How can you be depressed?
How can you have anxiety?
But the reality was sodifferent and like, especially
behind closed doors.
But for me, my couponingbusiness, I really do think,
saved me in so many ways andreally just gave me purpose to
wake up in the morning and, youknow, help and serve people.
So I do think that business wasa hundred percent meant to be

(10:01):
in my life at that time.
But then I found the law ofattraction and this was in my
darkest days.
I was suicidal at that time, Iwas having suicidal thoughts,
not great relationship going on,and it was just, yeah, probably
the darkest times of my life.
And I found the law ofattraction and I remember
looking outside my window at 2amin the morning and just saying

(10:23):
like God help me.
And I don't know, I mean Iwould probably say I was atheist
, to be honest, at that point Ididn't really have a faith in
God or a belief in anything.
Really, I think I'd given upbecause I kind of felt like if
there was a God, like why wouldI feel this way?
Why would other people suffer?
Why would these bad thingshappen in the world?
So for me, I was definitely anatheist at that point.

(10:43):
So I don't know what in mecalled God, god or God help me,
but I know that it was almost myego giving up on my soul, being
like come on, it's time toremember who you are, it's like
time to tune into everything.
So a couple of days later I cameacross the term the law of
attraction through this lovelyblonde haired lady when I
searched, searched on Google, how to turn a negative situation

(11:05):
into a positive.
Little did.
I know it was Louise Hay at thetime, but there was me watching
this video.
That's like.
This woman talks a lot of senseLove her, oh my goodness.
And a lot of people say LouiseHay does find them, and then
they find the law of attraction.
So I definitely am part of thatcamp.
So, yeah, I always feel like thelaw of attraction finds you at

(11:25):
the time that it's meant to, andjust like couponing, it was
really something positive thatfelt like a remembering.
It didn't feel like couponing, whereas learning a skill, it was
like a remembering, like, ofcourse this is how life works,
of course this is you know whathas contributed to my life so
far.
So it just felt like somethingreally amazing that I could put
my energy towards, just like thecouponing.

(11:47):
So, about a year into me sharingon my YouTube because my
YouTube was definitely morepersonal than just money saving,
although it was focused onmoney saving I'd share on there
about books I was reading andself-help and spirituality and
law of attraction and what I wasmanifesting and my community
were like why don't you sharemore about this?
Like you're clearly good atthis, you're manifesting all
these things You've manifestgetting out of debt.

(12:08):
You've manifested healing yourdepression.
You've manifested all thesethings Like we want your tips.
So again, I had that moment ofwell, who am I to teach the law
of attraction?
Yes, Right?

Speaker 2 (12:20):
Yes, there are all these other people that are, you
know, been doing it a lotlonger and are really well known
for it.
So who am I?

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Exactly so.
I knew in my soul and I'd had apsychic reading with a psychic
that I'd been to so many timesbefore at that moment and she
said you know it's time to putboth of your feet on your
spiritual path and manifest thebuyer for your business, your
group running business, and stepinto this fully.
And I knew it was what I wasmeant to do, but it equally

(12:46):
wasn't just like an easy stepfor me to give up such, I guess,
like stability in my life withthe couponing business,
stability in money, stability inso many things to risk it all
for this spiritual business.
And again, just like couponing.
The law of attraction in the UKwas not spoken about completely
taboo, completely woo-woo, andnobody was talking about it.

(13:07):
Now everybody and their dogstalking about it.
So it makes my life a loteasier when I'm talking about it
to mainstream press or peoplewho are like, yeah, I've heard
of manifesting.
So it did feel like a big riskbecause it wasn't as accepted as
it is today.
Nine years ago it just wasn't,but I trusted Somehow.
I trusted and I manifestedselling my business in 2018 and

(13:29):
I've been running this one eversince.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
Oh, my goodness.
So you said so many things thatare so interesting, but one of
them I want to point out is youwere talking about just having
this gut feeling and this gutinstinct that you were supposed
to make this switch, even thoughyou have this bird talking to
you being like who am I?

(13:52):
Who am I?
And that imposter syndrome, Ithink, is something that I want
to talk about for a minute, because I think that is
something that so manyentrepreneurs struggle with, so
many women in particularstruggle with, struggle with so
many women in particularstruggle with.
Why am I the person to deliverthis message or do this job or
start this company, when therealready are, you know, 10 other

(14:12):
people doing this, and why me?
So would you mind just sharinga little bit?
How did you really overcomethat?
Because that is a big one.
Especially, you're not justtalking about starting a
different career, you aretalking about moving into
spirituality in woo and, honestly, that's like enough to
make you lose all your friends.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
It really is.
It really was at that time.
So I think I've just always hada natural determination and
I've always.
I think it definitely is woveninto my astrology numerology
because so many people who haveread those have told me this.
But I think for me, especiallyin the UK, there was nobody
talking about manifesting atthat time and I was like there's

(14:54):
not a relatable face for peoplehere in the UK of someone in
the UK really manifesting.
People did it on YouTube andthings.
I wasn't the first person andobviously, as you said, there
were so many great authors outthere like Gabby Bernstein,
esther and Jerry Hicks, rhondaByrne, like all these incredible
books and legends out there, but they were all American as
well.
So for me I was like you know,I didn't go into it being like

(15:16):
I'll be the face of manifestingin the UK Definitely not but I
went into it being like, well, Iwant more UK content as well,
so I'm sure other people wouldlove to hear about people in the
UK manifesting.
So that was more why I pursuedit and why I thought and you
know as well, I think it's justnice when you can go on YouTube
and see everyday peoplemanifesting and what I really

(15:39):
came to learn quickly in thatprocess was all of these great
books that I was reading were 10, 20, 30 plus years old and
energy was working verydifferently at this point.
And even now, energy works sodifferently If I read the books
that were written 20 plus yearsago.
They work, of course, andthey're fantastic, but things

(16:00):
evolve, things change and energydefinitely is working and what
we want as humans is evolving aswell in terms of spiritual
connection and our understandingof spirituality and manifesting
.
So those books were fantastic, but I feel like they just didn't
really get the nitty gritty ofmanifesting and I was hitting
these blocks around letting go.
I was hitting these blocksaround surrendering and also

(16:23):
understanding the manifestingprocess as well.
Again must be the Virgo in me,but I have this ability to take
really complex things andsimplify them into really
tangible ways that people canjust be like oh, I get it.
Of course, that's exactly about.
I want to take these really outthere concepts and make them

(16:46):
really attainable and accessiblefor people, because I don't
want people giving up onmanifesting because it
absolutely does work, butbecause they're maybe not
understanding or hearing it froma perspective that they
resonate with or that it clicksin them, they're then thinking,
oh well, it's not for me.
You know it works for everybodyelse but it's not for me, then
thinking, oh well, it's not forme, it works for everybody else
but it's not for me.

(17:06):
So I feel like, even now, ifit's manifesting, if it's
anything that you want to startor you have a calling or passion
towards, nobody is going toshare it like you will.
Nobody is going to share it inthe same energy as you, Nobody

(17:28):
can be you.
We could read off the same book, but the energy would be
different, the way that peoplehear it would be different.
So what I'm sharing is notgroundbreakingly new things.
It's all the same.
None of us created manifestingspirituality, self-love, all
these things.
None of us created them.
We are all just channeling fromthe universe, from the source,
but communicating it through ourdifferent skills, through our

(17:50):
different energies, and it willresonate and land with people
differently.
Seven, eight billion people arenot all going to read one book
and resonate with it orunderstand it at the level that
the author wants them tounderstand it.
So I think that we need varietyand we need different
perspectives from people fromall walks of life, so that

(18:10):
people have somebody they canconnect with and resonate with
and understand those teachingson a deeper level.
So I'm not sure if thatanswered your question, but
that's how I feel about it.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
It definitely did, it definitely did.
So I don't know if it'spossible to even like dummy it
down a little bit, but if wehave someone who's listening,
that's like manifesting.
Okay, what does that actuallymean?
What's she talking about?
What's she going to tell me todo?

(18:41):
Is there at a really high level, because I mean, you have books
about this, right, so it's likewe can't talk about the whole
book in 45 minutes, but at areally high level?
What are maybe just some keysteps that people can take to
start to embrace the concept ofmanifesting and what even really
is it?

Speaker 1 (18:59):
Yeah, and I think, as we've said, a lot of people
hear about manifesting or thelaw of attraction, but they're
like what on earth is this?
How is everybody manifesting?
What are they manifesting?
So manifesting, or the law ofattraction as it's more formally
known, is one of the sevenenergetic laws of the universe.
So it's the notion thatdetermines, like, attracts like,
in life.
So I like to say it a bit likea divine mirror.

(19:20):
So how you're showing up to thedivine mirror of life is what
is being reflected back to you.
So if you are going about yourday spreading positivity,
feeling optimistic, sayingpositive things, you are going
to be attracting more positiveenergy towards you through
conversations, throughexperiences, through abundance.
But, on the flip side, if we'regoing about our day feeling

(19:42):
pessimistic or complaining or,you know, really reveling in
those annoying moments thathappen in life and telling loads
of people about it, and thensomething else annoying happens
and we go and tell more peopleabout it, we know the score
we're going to feel rubbish atthe end of the day.
We're going to feel like, oh,like my energy feels so low.
And this is the law ofattraction and action.

(20:03):
So our thoughts, our energy andour vibration creates our
reality.
Now, I always caveat this withnot every single one of our
thoughts will manifest, I thinka lot of the time people are
like, oh, I could never think abad thought again, and that is
just not true.
We have between 60 to 80,000thoughts a day.
Not all of them manifest and wedo not live in a world of

(20:26):
instantaneous manifestation,thank God.
So not everything you thinkwill manifest or happen.
But it is our consistent energyand our limiting beliefs, fears
and identities that create ourreality.
So it's the beliefs that wehold, it's the identities that
we hold and our consistent, persistent vibration that does
create the energy andexperiences that we experience

(20:49):
in our life.
So that is what the law ofattraction is.
But in terms of what you canmanifest, there are no limits to
what you can manifest.
So you might hear a lot of thetime that people manifest
materialistic things likewhether it's a house, money,
love, jobs, cars, holidays, allof those wonderful things.
So there are no limits to whatyou can manifest.
But you can also manifestemotional things as well, so

(21:12):
healing, love, for example,happiness.
So whether it's emotional,whether it's healing, whether
it's a physical thing, there areno limits to what you can call
into your life.
All you have to do is ask.
But, as you'll know from mybooks, I break the three
original steps of ask, believe, receive in the manifesting
process down into five steps, just because, as I was

(21:33):
explaining earlier, when I wasgoing along my journey and
really looking at what wasworking, what wasn't working,
looking at my clients, mycommunity, I realized there was
this huge leap from believe allthe way to receive and I was
like, well, what happens in themiddle?
Like a lot happens in themiddle, and I think a lot of
people were like what do I do?
How do I get from step two tostep three?

(21:54):
So I feel like breaking it downinto the five steps of ask,
believe, trust, let go andreceive just allows people to
track better where they are inthat process and understand what
goes into this process and alsothe co-creation that happens in
this process as well, becauseit is a co-creation process.
It's not as going 90, 100% ofthe way, we go 50% of the way

(22:19):
and the universe meets us 50% ofthe way.
So I just feel that those fivesteps really emanate that more
and help people to be able tounderstand what their focuses
should be where they need to puttheir energy and also track
better where they are in theprocess, so they're not getting
blocked.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
It's so great and one of my favorites that you talk
about is letting go.
That is really, I think, acritical part of the process in
that it doesn't appear in thefirst three.
If you just have three steps, letting go doesn't appear
because a lot of it is not beingso tied to the timing of the
outcome or the path to theoutcome and having a little bit

(22:57):
more faith and letting go andallowing the universe to do the
work.
And you also talk about thework that you need to do too.
Like you just said, it's aco-creation process.
You don't just like put outthere, I want a Lamborghini and
then just wait for it to bedelivered at your door.
It doesn't work that way.
So I love that your books havevery practical applications of
things that you can do andjournal and write about and

(23:18):
think about and actions that youcan do to keep your energy in
the vibration of attracting whatyou want to attract, which is
so great.
So can we talk about your newbook?
Of course it's coming outAligned Abundance.
So how do these just out ofcuriosity, how do these books
come to you?
Do you meditate and all of asudden you're like there's

(23:39):
another book or is someone outthere, as your publicist is
saying you need to write anotherbook?
How do the books come to you?

Speaker 1 (23:46):
They normally literally drop into my head at
the most random times, sometimesin the shower.
I was on a dog walk when bookfive dropped into my head a
couple of months ago and I waslike I haven't even released
book four yet.
Universe, like I want a holiday.
Gosh, give me a break.

(24:06):
So it definitely is random, butSpiritual Queen, my first book
definitely was a book that Ithink was always in me and that
I just knew I wanted to bringout into the world Positively
Wealthy, definitely dropped intomy head because I love a good
challenge.
I love, you know, settingchallenges and tasks and actions
and that's something in mybusiness and my work I've always
done.
So it just made sense to reallymake it into a fun 33 day

(24:29):
manifesting challenge and havealmost like a reset that people
can do to really kickstart thatmanifesting process and
understand the law of attraction.
You know, if they're completelynew to it as well, hurt,
healing, healed definitelydropped in as well and I think
that was more.
They always follow this journeyof the season of my life I'm in
as well.

(24:49):
So they kind of although youcould pick any of them up and,
as a complete beginner like you, don't have to do them in order
at all, but they do definitelykind of follow on from one
another really beautifully.
So with Hurt, healing, healedit was more of what I was going
through at that time and I justknew that there are no books out
there on healing and the innerwork in the manifestation

(25:10):
process, and this is the book Ineeded when I was going through
all of this.
So, whilst my publisher alwayssends me emails saying, right,
what's the next book, what doyou want to work on next?
I never listened to thembecause I'm like, no, I don't
just want to write for the sakeof it, I want to write, you know
, a book that's really going tohelp people and really serve
people and be, you know, incredibly fun to write as well.

(25:31):
Like I don't want it to feellike a chore or I'm doing it for
the sake of getting a book outthere, because I don't need to
do that.
You know I do enough in mybusiness, I don't I don't need
to have many more on my plate.
So for me, you know, when I dosay yes to a book, um, it comes
in strong and I know that I'mexcited to walk that journey
because I know that I'm going tolive that book first, to be

(25:52):
able to write it and teach it.
And it's beautiful to look backon those books and think, yeah,
like that was what I was goingthrough at that time in my life
and look what came out of that.
And now that's going to helpother people.
So, yeah, definitely intuition, they definitely drop into my
head.
But it's definitely random.
It's not always in like aserene, meditative state, it's
sometimes having a shower.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
I always found that I wrote my best presentations in
the shower or going for a walkand being in nature.
And now, as an entrepreneur, mybest ideas for a business like
the aha moments often come to meduring one of those two things.
Or journaling, yeah, 100%.
It's like when you're not in amindset of expecting the

(26:38):
universe to deliver it.
That's often when it like popsin and you're like oh, wow, look
at that, that's so cool, allright.
So the title Aligned Abundance.
What is this book about?

Speaker 1 (26:49):
Well, it's very different because people say,
right, I mean you teachmanifestation.
What is the difference betweenyour books, you know, do I just
get one?
Is this one, you, this one justbetter than the others?
And no, they definitely don'tcancel each other out.
They all have their own specialpurpose and mission.
So, positively Wealthy, I wouldsay, is the perfect beginner
book if you're new tomanifesting, you want to dip

(27:10):
your toes in and you want to doa fun challenge to see what
results you can get and put itto the test basically.
So I always advise that bookfor anybody who wants to dip
their toes in, who hasn't donemanifesting before.
Hurt, healing, healed is almostlike the next step.
So then, when blocks come up,if you know maybe you've done
manifesting for a while, if youtried it and you know that
there's some limiting beliefs orinner work there, or you know

(27:33):
there's resistance, something'snot working, maybe you're
feeling blocked, you've beentrying to manifest something for
a while and you don't know whatthe block is, hurt, healing,
healed is the book for that.
So anybody listening who is inthat place, definitely that book
is the one for you.
Aligned Abundance is almostagain like that next step and
this was almost like the nextstep in my journey after the
inner work, and I really feel itfocuses on those steps of trust

(27:56):
and let go more.
So definitely those steps areechoed the most throughout this
book.
But the subtitle is ReleaseExpectations, become Magnetic
and Manifest the Life of yourDreams.
And this book was such a joy towrite Not that the others
weren't, but healing and innerwork was quite a heavy topic.
I won't lie to write over 18months.
So this book felt so fun.

(28:17):
It channeled through ninemonths, which is the quickest
I've ever written a book.
So it was so much fun to liveand experience and write that
and plan it as well foreverybody.
And this book is all aboutmanifesting from embodiment and
also from alignment andregulation.
So it talks a lot about nervoussystem regulation and why we
need to be manifesting from aregulated space.

(28:39):
It talks about embodiment, which is not spoken about
anywhere in the manifestingsphere either and it's one of
the most important steps in themanifesting process in that step
four of letting go.
And it also talks aboutalignment, obviously with the
title Aligned Abundance.
Alignment is the bigoverarching theme of that book
and again, can you believe thereare no books out there on

(29:00):
alignment in the manifestationprocess.
So I was like, right, myopportunity to write that book
then, because this is what I'velived and breathed for the last
four years.
Back in 2021, I created a coursecalled Attract Alignment
Abundance and this was when Ireally started to dive into
alignment teachings and learnthis for myself.
And that course has sold outevery single year that we've

(29:21):
done it and it really inspiredthe foundations for this book.
But, as with all my books, itjust went on its own journey and
now is unrecognizable andcompletely different to the
course.
So we say the course inspiredit, but it's completely
different to the course that Icreated in 2021.
But there's so much in thisaround magnetism.
It's definitely an energy-basedbook where you're going to

(29:41):
learn to hack your nervoussystem, regulate your nervous
system, most importantly,manifest through embodiment,
manifest through alignment andlearn how to use the energy work
of manifestation and alignmentto make it effortless.
So this book is not you've gotmore work to do.
This book is we're going to putall that work down and we're
going to focus on the importantenergy work that you need to do
to be that vibrational match.

(30:03):
So loads of fun, exercises, meditations and it's just such a
really beautiful book to turnup your magnetism and see the
alignment process in action.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
So I can't wait for people to read it.
I can't wait to read it.
I love it.
So I have one quick question oneverything that you said for
people that are listening thatmight not understand everything
that you said.
When you say embodiment and howcritical that is you mentioned
that a couple of times and howcritical that is to letting go.
What do you mean by embodimentfor people who don't understand
what that is?

Speaker 1 (30:33):
Yes, and ironically I literally did a podcast episode
on this yesterday for my ownpodcast.
So it is the acting as ifprocess.
So what I basically debunk ismyths around acting as if,
because a lot of people haveheard of acting as if in the
manifesting process, which is anEsther and Jerry Hicks teaching
, but it's very beingmiscommunicated through books,

(30:54):
through coaches, as almost likespending as if and that is going
to dysregulate our nervoussystems straight up.
So what I really go into in thebook and teach in embodiment is
it's feeling.
It's feeling as if, notspending as if.
Feeling as if.
It is alignment, it is becomingand integrating that version of

(31:14):
yourself who has your desires.
So when we first set anintention, you know we might be
over here and feel like how onearth am I going to be that
version of yourself who has yourdesire?
So when we first set anintention, you know we might be
over here and feel like how onearth am I going to be that
version of myself?
All the way over here.
It can feel like such a bigleap and jump to people to think
how am I going to become thatperson who has my desire?
So what embodiment teaches isyou know there are practical
parts to it, of course, throughactions, through tools in the

(31:37):
book that I walk you through, but it really is a feeling
experience, because that is whatmanifesting is Feeling.
I want you to tap into thefeelings of how you want to feel
with that money, how you wantto feel with that relationship,
because you could manifest thatmoney, you could manifest that
relationship and be absolutelymiserable, and that is not well.
Hopefully it's not what youwant.
I think a lot of people wouldsay no, I don't want not.

(31:58):
Well, hopefully it's not whatyou want.
I think a lot of people say no,I don't want that, so it's all.
It's so important to focus onthe feelings and emotions of how
you want to experience thosemanifestations.
It's not just getting the thingand you know, it's never the
money that we want.
It's never the money that wewant.
It's a feeling or an experiencethat the money can bring us.
So embodiment is really tappinginto that and tapping into your

(32:20):
soul's desires and thatalignment process to magnetize
it to you through the embodimentof becoming and when we
manifest.
Again, this is part of theenergy work in this book we
first bring it into our energyfield, then we bring it into our
cognitive mind and then webring it into the body and
embodiment is that embodying ofthe energy in your physical

(32:41):
reality.
So it is acting as if.
But I basically break it downinto you know, if you are
struggling with acting as ifbecause you've learned to spend
as if or do some wild things, toact as if, it's not all about
spending money, it's not allabout doing things.
It's actually, 99.9% of thetime, becoming feeling and

(33:03):
integrating it, integrating allthe work that you've done and a
great example I can give you isaround, like the inner work.
So a lot of the time I hearpeople say you know, emma, I've
read like 10 self-help books.
I'm reading back to backself-help books.
My outer reality is nodifferent Like the inner work
that I've done.
It's not reflecting in theouter reality.
And I say to them okay, thinkabout it like this If you were

(33:26):
taking 10 supplements to fix ahealth problem or something, or
you just wanted to balancesomething in your body and you
were taking 10 differentsupplements, how would you know
what supplement is working ifyou're taking 10 of them at a
time?
It would be impossible.
You wouldn't know what'sworking and what's not.
So the same goes with this ofif you were doing too much.
If you were doing constanthealing modalities, one after

(33:48):
the other, you're never lettingit integrate.
You're never letting it settlein your body, in your mind, your
cognitive mind or your energyfield.
So embodiment is becoming.
It's not about doing, it'sabout becoming and integrating
the work that you've alreadydone in those previous three
steps.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
And giving yourself the patience to live it, to be
in it and live it and feel itbefore you're like, okay, where
is it?
Before you're like, okay, whereis it, why isn't it here?
And you also made such animportant point that I don't
want to skip over, which is it'soften not the money and I hear

(34:25):
this a lot, and I say this a lotabout my own journey to people
to get them to recognize themoney is just a thing.
Money has its own energy.
It ebbs and flows, and thereare lots of books about this.
Right is just a thing.
Money has its own energy, itebbs and flows, and there are
lots of books about this right.
So money is just an energeticthing, and I always encourage
people to think, as you said, beyond the money, and in many
times, it's really freedom thatpeople are looking for.

(34:47):
It's freedom to travel, freedomto do what they want, freedom
to not feel bound by work.
It's such a different thing, and when you can energetically
and emotionally tap into thatwithin yourself and what does
freedom feel like, then you'refocusing on something different,
rather than this tangibleenergy thing that's going to ebb
and flow, and so I love thatyou said that, because it

(35:08):
completely aligns and applies tosomething that I use a lot in
my own life, which is I reallyam trying to attract freedom,
and what does freedom look andfeel like to me?

Speaker 1 (35:18):
And I think that allows us to let go of all
outcomes as well, because wecould be so fixated on.
Well, when I earn that amountof money, I'll have this, I'll
be successful, I'll be happy,I'll feel this.
But your manifestation willnever bring you anything.
You have to give it to yourselffirst, and then it manifests as
a byproduct of that feeling andemotion that you've already

(35:39):
created within yourself.
So the money is not going tobring you happiness.
You have to create thathappiness and that sense of
freedom here and now, in thepresent moment, to become an
energetic match for that money, for that reality that you've
been trying to manifest.
So I think what you said is sogreat, because it is that really
practical example of becoming.

(36:01):
It, is that embodiment, yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
Ooh, I love that.
Okay, can we switch gears andtalk about?
What does wellness look like inyour life?
What is a day like for you, forsomeone who focuses on
manifestation spirituality, lawof attraction, walking the walk
of talking, the talk of what youdo?
What does wellness, personalwellness for you look like on a
daily basis?

Speaker 1 (36:22):
Yeah, well, it definitely changes.
As I'm sure you know, as anentrepreneur as well, it has to
be flexible to my schedule a lotof the time, but my morning
routine is definitely anon-negotiable for me, just
because it sets me up soamazingly for the day ahead and
it helps me with energyprotection and, you know, just
allowing me to really enter intothe day intentionally instead

(36:44):
of kind of fumbling around andhoping for the best.
So for me, as soon as I wake up, doing a gratitude practice, a
short meditation, journaling ifI want to, maybe pulling an
oracle card, that is my ultimatefavorite way to start the day.
But I do always give myself aday off on Sunday because I feel
like I just want to wake up anddo nothing on a Sunday.

(37:04):
So six days out of the week mydaily practice happens, and then
really throughout the day.
I think it's just especially asan entrepreneur, I think it's
so important that we are reallyintentional throughout our day
and I feel like previously, youknow, in years gone by, when I
was definitely more burnt outand stressed, you know I wasn't
prioritizing intentional momentsin the day.
So for me now, creatingspaciousness in my work calendar

(37:28):
is really important so that I'mnot overwhelming my nervous
system or stressing myself outor feeling like I'm people
pleasing or, you know, likefeeling like I have to do these
things.
That was something that reallyshifted gears in my business a
few years ago, where I reallyprioritized saying yes, the
things that really aligned andalso making my day fun as well,

(37:49):
so that it didn't feel like, oh,I've got like 10 back to back
meetings.
You know I wanted it to feelexpansive, I wanted it to really
support my body, and you knowmy happiness and joy levels as
well.
So, although people may not callthat a wellness tip, for me
that is wellness because it iscreating the right environment
for me to thrive, my body and myhormones to thrive, and my

(38:11):
energy levels as well, andmotivation and creativity.
So it's all you know it goeshand in hand and creating, you
know, the right environment andspace for me to write, for me to
create the things that I create.
Then, in sort of like, towardsthe end of the day, I do two dog
walks a day with a dog, so Iget a lot of walking in and
fresh air and nature, which isgood.
But I love doing yoga, I lovedoing Peloton, I love doing

(38:34):
heels dance classes.
I love doing fitness and gymwork as well.
So some may not call that likewellness, but I think it is
because it all brings me so muchfun and joy and obviously, you
know, I get to love my body aswell in those.
And then before bed I'll do kindof nighttime routine as well,
where I will read a book, whichsometimes is self-help.

(38:56):
A lot of the time it has beenover the last nine years, but I
feel like the last year I've hada bit of a break with fiction,
which I think is equally healingas well Reading Fairy Smut it
definitely is healing just asmuch as the self-help books.
So I definitely switch betweenfiction and nonfiction.
So I love reading before bed.
That's my absolute favoritething to do.
Gratitude again, justreflecting on the day and the

(39:18):
things that felt really good, just so that I can really switch
off and go to sleep in a nicerelaxed state, so that I can
wake up feeling relaxed andready to do my morning practice.
So I feel like that'severything I do.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
And it all is wellness, because you touched on
mind, body and spirit.
You touched on all of it and Ithink that's important for
people to recognize.
It's not just one, it's all ofthose things and how your energy
is as you're working and you'reusing your brain at work.
Is it giving you joy, Is itgiving you pleasure, is it
stressing you out?
And you talked aboutspirituality, with your
gratitude practice, and you'remeditating.
And you talked about body, thatexercise, movement.

(39:54):
It's so important.
You have to do it all, like youreally do, in order to really
tap into all of the energy thatyour body can have.
It's not just one thing.
So thank you for sharing that.
Okay, I have two more quickquestions for you Then.
I've used so much of your time,so two questions for you.
What's on your bucket list?
What do you want Like?
What's on the big bucket listthat you want to?

Speaker 1 (40:12):
do?
That's such a good question.
I had like a 30 things to dobefore 30 list.
I'm 31 now, so I have done mostof them, which is amazing to
even say.
I feel like I've done so manythings on my bucket list.
I'd love to travel more.
I feel like the last few yearshave been very work focused.
Early twenties I traveled somuch and I loved it, so I really

(40:34):
feel like I want to do somemore traveling.
That, for me, is definitelylike a bucket listing.
I don't think I want to jumpout a plane.
I don't think my nervous systemcould handle that one or bungee
jumping or anything extremesports in bucket list.
I'm not sure I feel like I'vedone so many in my life already.

Speaker 2 (40:52):
Well then, you have to come up with a new list.
Then I'm going to have to.

Speaker 1 (40:55):
you've challenged me I'm going to have to.
Now you have to come up with anew list.
Yeah, I mean, obviously I wantto write more books, but I just
don't feel that's like verybucket list extreme.
I feel like I need somethinglike I'm going to go jump out a
plane or climb a mountain orsomething, but I'll have to have
a think yeah, or, or you know, host a retreat in Bali.

Speaker 2 (41:15):
There's a lot of cool things that I interviewed
someone who was a mindset coachrecently and I asked him that
same question and he said hewants to see sunsets around the
world and he's like thatactually is on my bucket list is
to see sunsets around the world.
And I was like that is such acool idea because it's really
pretty broad, and I was like itinvolves traveling.

(41:36):
And I was like it involvestraveling and I was like, and it
has a goal and it's definitelysomething you can wrap your
manifesting around and I waslike, ooh, that's a really good
one.
I like that.

Speaker 1 (41:46):
Do you know what I think?
I'm going to put that on mylist.
You've inspired me.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
Isn't it a good one?
It was a.
Really.
I was like, Ooh, that is deep,I really like that.
So that was a good one.
So we can add that.
I'm going to add that to mylist because I love sunsets.
The power of the sun and themoon is so much.
Okay.
So before we go, I always liketo ask my guests to recommend a
book that has impacted thempersonally and professionally.
Obviously, all of your bookswill be linked in the show notes
and everything.

Speaker 1 (42:19):
But what book or some people recommend multiples
Would you recommend to thelisteners and to the viewers
that you think they should readoutside of your own?
I'm going to recommend two.
I'm going to recommend one thatis like the game changer, which
inspired me so much in mymanifesting journey, and then
I'm going to recommend a recentone I've read just because it's
impacted me recently.
So I talk about this book allday long and it's the Universe
has your Back by Gabby Bernstein.
All day long and it's theUniverse has your Back by Gabby
Bernstein.
This was the epitome of changingeverything for me in my

(42:40):
manifesting process, because Ihad never let go a day in my
life before reading that book.
I didn't know what letting gowas or surrendering.
It was just alien to me.
I did not know how to do thosethings, let alone that I had to
do it in the manifesting process.
So for me, that book changedeverything.
I remember I had it on my shelffor about a year.
I think Hay House had even sentit to me.

(43:01):
So I'd had it on my shelf for ayear and I just remember I was
like feeling so helpless in asituation in my life and feeling
so down and just like, why isthis not shifting?
Like what can I do to likeshift this?
And I just went upstairs intomy office and looked at my
bookshelf and I was like, right, give me some inspiration,
universe, what can I do?
And I just felt drawn to pickit out, opened this chapter

(43:22):
randomly, and it was when youthink you've surrendered,
surrender some more.
And I was like okay, and I readthe whole chapter there and
then and I was like, okay, Ineed to read the whole book.
This is amazing.
So that book, 100% is so, and I, honestly, I still have it now
I think it's behind me up thereand it's like highlighted from
like the 10 million times I'veread it Mine too.

(43:42):
Pages Ben, everything.
So it's well loved.
Yep, mine too.
So, yeah, that book isdefinitely one I always go back
to for a reminder ofsurrendering, for sure.
Recent one, though, which tookme by surprise.
I didn't think this book wasgoing to have an impact as much
as it did, but it did come in atthe perfect time for me, as
always, and it's the Let themTheory by Mel Robbins, and I've

(44:05):
heard her talk about this onsocial media, her podcast, so I
feel like I was like, how mucham I actually going to learn in
this book?
But actually it reallyhighlighted a lot to me around
again surrendering ironicallyand surrendering to other people
and what was happening and youknow, let them, let them do
those things.
So I actually really loved thatbook and I think it's a great

(44:26):
book people should read, becauseit's changed a lot for me in my
relationships and that,especially friendships, was
where I needed it the most and Ifeel it really helped me in
that season when I needed it,ooh, and I'm so glad you
mentioned that because that bookhas gotten a lot of press
lately.

Speaker 2 (44:41):
She's all over the place and I have lots of friends
who are like have you read it?
Have you read it?
Have you read it?
And I'm like I haven't read it.
I'm not sure I'm going to learnanything, I haven't read it.
So I love that you arerecommending that, because you
know more about manifesting andthe laws of attraction than I do
, so I think that's really great.
All right, I'm going to have togo and get that one.
And the universe has your back.
I actually say that phraseevery day after I finished

(45:03):
meditating is I thank theuniverse and that the universe
has my back, which is amazing.
Anything that I didn't ask youthat you want to make sure you
cover I think you've asked greatquestions.

Speaker 1 (45:13):
I feel like we've covered so much.

Speaker 2 (45:18):
Good, I just want to make sure that we covered
everything that you want tocover, and then so I have one
last question what is?

Speaker 1 (45:21):
your tattoo on your arm for people who can't see it.
I have 16 tattoos.
People are always like what?
So this one here is always itdoes need redoing.
I play with having it laseredoff all of the time.
So whether I keep it foreverwe'll see, but it's spread,
unfortunately, so it was a lotthinner than it used to be Good

(45:42):
old skin and tattoos.
So it says always andeveryone's like, oh, is it the
Harry Potter quote?
And it wasn't.
But then I actually watchedHarry Potter and watched where
it was from the scene and I waslike, oh, actually I really love
this because it's between Snapeand Lily, I think, and talking
about like, after all, this timeI'm going to butcher the quote,
but you know, after all thistime and Snape goes always and

(46:04):
it's about his love for Lily.
So, um, yeah, it has definitelya deep love meaning.
And ironically, I had it onthis arm because when I well,
this I think I had.
When did I have it done?
I want to say it was like 20 atthe time, so a good 11 years
ago, and I wanted it so thatwhen I stood at the altar one
day, when I would hold mypartner's hand, you'd see it in

(46:26):
the photos.

Speaker 2 (46:27):
I love that and for those who are listening, she's
getting married this summer.
Just so we can say I love it.
I love it.
You've manifested that.
Oh, wow, that is really cool.
Okay, thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for your time.
I cannot wait to read your newbook, aligned Abundance.
It is so great and, as Istarted the show talking, you

(46:49):
are just a really inspiringentrepreneur and people need to
go and follow you and check outyour website.
You have courses, you havememberships, you have books.
You do so much on YouTube, youdo so much on Instagram, and so
we just scratched the surface onall the things and your podcast
.
I don't want to forget thatyour podcast, your podcast, is
amazing.
So we just scratched thesurface on all of the many
things and the ways that youhelp people interact, learn,

(47:11):
grow, and you've touchedhundreds of thousands of people
and that is so powerful.
So congratulations to you, andyou are running an incredible
business, filled with kindnessand love and very purpose driven
.
