Speaker 1 (00:00):
And he said as soon
as I laid hands on him after the
guided meditation, I felt hiswife come through and I do get
messages from the deceased, so Igot a message from her.
I worked on him and he felt herpresence right above him and
she was speaking to him notverbally but non-verbally and he
(00:25):
said it was nothing like heexperienced with two years of
her passing.
So when we finished the sessionbefore I could share the
messages.
He shared his experience and hesaid something huge was lifted
and I'm connected with her nowand my first message was that
she was with him, walking besidehim and he would feel her now.
And my first message was thatshe was with him, walking beside
(00:46):
him and he would feel her now.
So everything lined up.
Speaker 2 (00:51):

million women to live all in.
I am your host, jean Collins, and I invite you to become
inspired by this week's guest.
Welcome to the House of Germarpodcast, where wellness starts
within.
I'm your host, jeanne Collins, and today we are talking Reiki
and intuitive.
I am so excited I have LisaLobozo on the show.
(01:35):
She is a Reiki master.
She's also an intuitive healerand I am so blessed and
fortunate that she lives in mytown in New Canaan, connecticut,
and I got to experience asession with her last week and,
wow, it was life changing andjust so insightful and so
special.
And she does do it on Zoomeverybody, so you don't have to
live where I live.
(01:56):
So we are going to talk aboutReiki.
We're going to talk about herjourney, how she got here.
She hasn't always been a Reikimaster and she has a special
twist to Reiki with herintuitiveness.
That, I think, is really unique, so I am really excited.
So, lisa, thank you for joiningthe show.
Thank you for having me, ginny, thank you, it's my pleasure.
So you have such a fascinatingbackground story, and I love to
(02:19):
start off by sharing people'sbackground stories, because one
of the purposes of this show isto inspire women to recognize
that there are things out therethat they can do, if they follow
their passions, that they mightnot think about.
So if you wouldn't mindstarting off sharing a little
bit about your journey becauseyou were not always a Reiki
master, I wasn't Actually.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
I was in the
wholesale woman's shoe business
for a number of years and I hadstarted out with a very small
company and went over to NineWest, which I'm sure you're
familiar with, had a very largeterritory, and I also had worked
on the West Coast headquarteredNortheast territory for Palos
(03:02):
Verdes Footwear and had justsigned on as the vice president
position globally with Jolie andunfortunately didn't arrive
there because of the accident.
So it was a big turning pointin my life.
It was everything I worked hardfor and within a minute, in a
(03:22):
blink of an eye, it was takenaway.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
So share with
everybody what the accident is
so it was the first day of myvacation.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
I hadn't gone
anywhere, but I was local in
Darien and I was actually thatevening set out on a journey to
go see my dad's best friend.
He had cancer in the hospitaland I wanted to visit him and so
I did just that.
But on my journey home which Idon't remember but I was told I
(03:56):
was very emotional and probablyshould not have been behind the
wheel I was cut off on 95, notshort of the exit 10, darien
that I was getting off of and Iflipped twice.
So my loaner car was in themiddle of the lane and the
seatbelt was wrapped around myneck.
So my airway was cut off and Iwas blue.
So I was told and the gas fromthe car was pouring out and I
(04:21):
also had a very severe headinjury out and I also had a very
severe head injury.
So unfortunately I had backedup the emergency vehicles but by
chance and by a good blessing, the manager of the paramedics
felt intuitively to come out andhe did, and in doing so he cut
the belt from my neck, herevived me, he held me up to the
(04:42):
roof of the car until theemergency vehicles arrived and
then rode into the hospital, which is not usual protocol, but
he felt, because I wasbreathing and not breathing,
that it would be a better shotto do that, and so, thankfully,
he did.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
Wow, and your
injuries were severe.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Very severe Broken
neck which most people don't
survive.
Very bad head injury right.
So when I got to the hospital Iwent directly up to ICU.
I was unconscious, I hadcracked my spleen.
I was in really bad shape andthey had to make some decisions
on emergency surgeries.
But the doctors weren't certainif I was going to make it
(05:22):
through the night, so theycalled my family in for my last
rites that evening.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Yeah, so I wasn't
scheduled or felt that there
would be a chance that theywould lose me.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Right, and how long
did it take you until you became
conscious?
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Oh, it's interesting.
You know what happened.
I was on life support, right,so I did become conscious, but I
my understanding was I began towith not being so medicated.
I was trying to pull the lifesupport out, so they then
induced me into it again.
So as soon as I opened my eyes,it wasn't long before I shut
them once more yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
Yeah, yeah.
So talk about how thatexperience changed your life,
because you didn't go back toworking in fashion and working
in shoes and working for NineWest.
So that event and your recoveryfrom that event, talk about
that and how that changed yourlife.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Well, the event was
interesting in one sense,
jeannie, because I had peoplesee the light.
Often I did not.
I saw colors and I associatethose colors with angels and I
feel that now.
So there's my confirmation,right.
So, and I've been told, youknow, by a medium I saw
afterwards there were angels, you know, at the scene, there
(06:45):
was angels in the hospital, andI do confirm that.
I do feel that now because ofmy gifts that are there.
But, um, you know, I couldn'tswallow, I couldn't eat, I
couldn't walk, I couldn't do.
All the things that I didnormally of running around the
country were taken away.
And then, you know, I also hadto learn how to walk again,
(07:08):
learn how to swallow again.
I had no hair and that was huge, you know it's, it's like, you
know, for a woman, wheneverything's stripped away from
you, it's, I can't explain it.
You don't feel feminine anymore, you don't feel whole anymore.
You feel like who am I?
And that's exactly who am I.
Where am I headed?
What's going on here?
(07:30):
And in during that time I hadlost my short-term memory.
That was a game changer,because I couldn't remember.
So I was scared.
I thought, oh, my gosh, is thisgoing to come back or am I not
going to be able to remembermoment to moment?
So that was a sudden shift andbehind the scenes there was my
(07:54):
brother who had musculardystrophy.
So he was at my parents'residence because they had
equipment and nurses and soforth, and he was a big part of
my life and a big part of who.
I was in his care, along withmy father and my sister, because
my mother couldn't walk, and so, you know, he was, they were
(08:15):
hoping that he, they were tryingto navigate him, not finding
out too much, right.
So I hadn't talked to him for amonth, so there was so much
going on all at once, right.
But as the journey unfolded, youknow, I went to ICU and this
male nurse, who was a trialnurse, said I heard about this
accident and I really want tohelp this woman, and he becomes
(08:37):
a very important role.
You know doing things thatnormal nurses don't know to
advance me, and a connectionbecame between us that I
couldn't explain.
And then, when I went to stepdown which is, you know, you
graduate from ICU for lack ofbetter and you go to this you're
like, okay, I'm making someprogress here, right?
(08:58):
So here comes this intern andhe becomes a part of the journey
.
And so, as I'm getting ready toleave, step down and go to
rehab, he says I can get youinto bam munching.
And they were full.
And lo and behold, he does.
So each step of the way there'sanother person, which I find
(09:18):
very fascinating.
So it was all divinely plannedon my journey, right?
Yes, so even going you know, obviously this is going quicker
than it was in the hospital, butyou know, even going to rehab
was difficult.
It was like another whole youknow segment in high rates of
(09:39):
pain and I couldn't eat andthere wasn't.
There were visitors but therewasn't throughout the day and I
had to go, prompt myself up toyou know, walk a treadmill and
get in and out of a fake car andgo upstairs.
I mean, you have to do thesethings that you did all your
life all over again, like anewborn, like a toddler.
Yes, and I was in a lot of painand like movement was not easy
(10:04):
because my body had taken such atrauma to it.
Right, but I got there, yeah, and I didn't know what the
journey held ahead Like.
I kept that vision of goingback to the shoe business, but
not so not so, not so.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
Yeah, how long were
you in rehab?
Speaker 1 (10:24):
I was in a few weeks.
I wasn't in long, okay, good, probably not long enough, but it
was an eye-opener.
The nurses were very coddlingand very kind and very loving,
but I was ready to go, I wasready to get out of that whole
hospital scene because it hadbeen so long.
And I think people really do.
(10:45):
I think they start to fly once, they start to move forward,
once they get in a, you know, familiar environment, right, yes
, but that was tough too, right, because I couldn't go to my
home in Darien.
I had a home in Darien, I had togo with my parents, I couldn't
live alone, I couldn't walk.
You know, I was on a walker,right, right, I couldn't swallow
(11:06):
, so I was on like baby food andperiod foods and speech
therapist coming and OT and PT.
I mean, every moment somethingwas going on.
But a very moving moment waswhen I walked in with a walker
and I appeared in front of mybrother, you know, who was
waiting in the background, likewhere is she?
(11:26):
And it was just a veryemotional moment of I'm alive,
right, you know, I'm here, it'sgoing to be okay, even though I
didn't feel like it was going tobe, you know.
I wore that hat somehow.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
Of course.
Of course, for his purposes too, Absolutely Wow.
And then what happened next?
Speaker 1 (11:46):
And then I was still
employed by my employer.
I didn't resign, so I was doingsome work from home.
Hard to believe because I, youknow again my memory was just
coming back but I felt that if Iwas active, you know, and I
still had an assistant and theywere getting ready for a
(12:07):
worldwide shoe show that I wouldbe able to keep my job for a
while and keep myself occupied.
But lo and behold, I did allthat and then I received an
email saying that you know, myfunds were going to be cut by,
you know, three quarters andthat shortly I was going to be
let go.
So, you know, it doesn't seemso monumental right now, but it
(12:30):
was because I lost the vicepresident.
I was in the middle of mydivorce.
I was in the middle of adivorce.
I, everything, I knew what Ilooked like.
I didn't look like.
I had a head that was wrappedlike a mummy.
I had a brace from my chin allthe way to my hips.
Wow, I was on a walker.
I was like a robot, yeah, and Iwas feeling very down.
I was trying to keep a highvibration and my family was very
(12:53):
supportive, and my friends andpeople from the church and
everybody that came fromeverywhere and even the shoe
business very supportive.
But I had to face this journeyone-on-one with the most eye and
that was pretty, you know, pretty scary.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
Totally Terrifying,
terrifying, yeah, when you're in
it it's terrifying.
It's hard to get up every daywhen you feel like that and have
all that doubt and all thatfear.
It's hard to get up and beexcited, to want to do more work
and plow through the pain andremember I was coming from the
fashion business, so I wasalways looking good and I had my
makeup on my hair and I knowthat sounds so superficial, but
(13:34):
think about there.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Yes, it's like going
from you know 10 to zero.
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Well, it's hard when
so much of your identity is
wrapped around how you look andyour job title.
I can totally relate, as can somany women.
We define ourselves very oftenby our careers, our success and
the environment that comes withthat.
And in fashion, it is all aboutyou know how you look right.
Absolutely and when you can'tlook that anymore, and can't act
(14:03):
that anymore and can't traveland can't walk, it's like, wow,
then who am I?
Speaker 1 (14:09):
yeah, and you know
what, jeannie?
You feel like you're invisible.
Yeah, you know, here you are ina spotlight, not that you're a
superstar, but you're in thepublic, you're well put together
, you know what to do and all ofa sudden you fade.
Yes, and.
And then there's in the unknown, and then all these gifts start
.
I start to see things and feelthings.
(14:29):
And what is that?
Speaker 2 (14:31):
Let's talk about that
.
So how did that?
Speaker 1 (14:35):
start.
Interestingly enough, you know,I had my head capped and so
they had to do graft on my head.
So I was getting ready for thatsurgery and I started to feel
angels and hear this voice and Ithought, oh boy, like, is this
the short-term memory?
Is this the concussion?
(14:56):
What is this Right?
Speaker 2 (14:59):
Is the end coming.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
Right, right, or
who's communicating with me?
And so I didn't know.
And I was talking to a coupleof spiritual friends who were
very religious and said, youknow, maybe it's the voice of
God.
And I thought the voice of God,like, have I heard that before?
Like I don't think so.
(15:21):
What is that all about?
And you're right, I was beforesurgery, so I was scared, right,
and I was like, is that voicetrying to tell me?
Like this is it?
Yeah, but actually it wasn't.
The voice was trying to sayyou're going to go in for a
graft, it's all going to be okayand my angels are going to be
there, right, and so I can'texplain it.
(15:43):
I had this warmth come over me,this vibration that was so
incredible it's hard to put intowords, vibration that was so
incredible, it's hard to putinto words.
And it followed me, you know,to the hospital with my father
and it was there when they wereprepping me and the nurse would
say to me there's nothing toworry about, you have your
(16:04):
angels here.
And I thought, oh boy, how doesshe know what is going?
Speaker 2 (16:10):
on here, yeah, and
then you almost don't want to
tell anybody, right Like I'vespoken to people who are
intuitive and they think you'recrazy, absolutely, yeah.
Time to put you in the psychward and identify this head
injury and what has actuallyhappened to you.
Right, yeah?
Speaker 1 (16:29):
Exactly true.
So I rolled with it a littlebit.
I thought there was a couple ofpeople I could confide in, knew
that they were very spiritualand they were very connected and
that was kind of like ahandholding for me in a safe
place Right, and we all needthat safe place.
But it was foreign to me.
I'm like, okay, where's my shoebag?
And it was far away.
(16:53):
All that world was very faraway and pulled away.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
So how did you get
into Reiki?
Where did that come into play?
Speaker 1 (17:11):
is a local hospital
in Stanford, connecticut, and
she had, you know, they had a.
They had like a care centerthere for cancer patients and
their family and she had comeover when I was in ICU and she
laid hands on me I don't recallit, but I do recall it and step
down and her hands got tinklyand warm and when I was in great
pain she would be able to alterthat pain.
I didn't understand it, but Iinvited it because I was in so
(17:33):
much pain that in between thelaps of the pain meds I invited
anything that would suit me andhelp me.
And she was such a loving, kindhuman being so she would come
very frequently.
And then, when I was leaving, you know, and I was on the mend,
she kept in touch with me andshe said you know, I have a home
(17:55):
in Darien and I have theseReiki one classes.
They're very intimate, there'sfour or five people.
I'd love you to come, I think.
And she knew that I was in atransition.
You know she was, she wasconnected enough, yep, and it
was like she was cued in and Iwent and I'll never forget it
even opened me up more and thatwas a safe place I could talk to
(18:18):
her and the angels were thereand my connection was there.
My intuition was, like you know, sparking.
I was like, wow, what's goingon here?
Speaker 2 (18:27):
Okay, so you're
learning about Reiki in this
very safe environment and itfeels to you like wow, maybe
I've landed on something.
I'm just going to put words inyour mouth and you can tell me
if I'm right or not.
And I'm doing this because Ithink a lot of people who have
gone through a journey and foundtheir calling do have these aha
(18:48):
moments where they feel soenergized and connected by
whatever it is they're aroundand that becomes the driving
force for them to follow thatpassion.
So talk to us a little bitabout you know, how did you
really feel?
And then how did you decidethis is what I'm supposed to
really be doing.
Not just this feels good, butthis is what I'm supposed to do.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
That's an interesting
one.
So you know, we'd have theseReiki shares and you know,
because there was just a handfulof us, people would work on
each other.
When the Reiki master worked onme, she would say you have it,
you have the gifts.
And I would think how does sheknow?
Yeah, you know, but because shewas doing it so long, you know.
Now I understand, but I didn'tthen.
(19:30):
So I thought, okay, so I'mgoing to continue with these
certifications and I'm going tolay hands on my family.
So my mother and sister reallyweren't on board, and that's
okay, but my father and mybrother were.
So I practice, yeah, and theywould say you know, we feel
tingling, we feel your handsgetting warm, but I still was
convinced I was going back inthe shoe business, that I was
(19:51):
not going to leave that behind.
Now, with that said, I wasn'tgoing back to the vice president
position because that was goneright.
But out of nowhere I meet thisintuitive coach to a friend and
he's out in California and heknows this family that's in the
shoe business and he hooks me upand I interview and I end up
(20:13):
with this job.
So I end up being able to do alot of it remote, but I have to
go to California like once amonth.
For a week I thought, oh my God, this wouldn't be too bad, it
was great, but it was good for awhile I had to carry the cases.
My neck and spine couldn't doit, just couldn't do it.
It was way too much.
And every time, jeannie, Itried to step back into that
(20:34):
world, it was pulled away.
Yeah, so finally I said youknow what?
Okay, I think what I'm going todo is I'm going to start
practicing more and I'm going tosee where I can use this skill
set.
And the place that I fell wasAngel Cooperative in Ridgefield,
(20:55):
and I started to teachmeditation out there with Reiki.
And then one of the owners saidyou know what?
This is going really well andpeople like you and feel your,
you know your energy, your gifts, and they want sessions.
So I said, okay, I'll do thispart-time.
And at the time I said I haveto offset this.
So what am I going to do?
(21:15):
You know I was.
You know I had collegeeducation and the guy I said I
got to have something flexible.
So I opened a dog sittingbusiness and the dog sitting
business at the time was solucrative, right, that I knew,
you know, whether this flew ordidn't fly, I'd still be able to
run with everything.
And it worked.
And lo and behold, people wouldcome.
(21:36):
I was in a Shungite room, whichwas very different to me, right
, but people, I would get theseintuitive messages, or I'd get a
vision, or I'd start drawing apicture, and people loved it,
and they would come weekly, they'd come, bi-weekly, they'd
come.
You know, it was very.
It got busier and busier,busier.
So I said, you know, this isall unfolding in the way I guess
(22:01):
it's supposed to.
Yeah, right, and I couldsupport myself.
So everything was, you know, full speed ahead, so to say
right, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
So you jumped in and
decided I'm going to start my
own business.
I did I ran with it.
Speaker 1 (22:15):
Were you scared?
I don't want to say scared, Iwas uncertain.
I was like, am I doing theright thing, am I not?
And then I was.
Also, they wanted me to do acouple hours at the store, in
the front, and I was hesitant.
But I thought, you know what,if I do this, I have a sales
background and you know what Icould promote the Reiki.
Yeah, it was, it was a twofoldwin.
(22:37):
Yes, it just exploded, becauseif somebody came in and they
were buying stones, I could layhands on them for five or 10
minutes and they'd book asession.
And it was just picking upRight and then I taught more
classes.
So it was just picking up Rightand then I taught more classes.
So it was just.
You know, it was progressing asprobably divinely planned,
without me even knowing behindthe scenes.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
Right, right.
Well, what I also findinteresting is so many of us go
to intuitives because we want tofeel, we want to learn, we want
some validation that what we'redoing is the right path, or we
want some guidance on the rightpath, and so what.
I found so interesting is you,as an intuitive like you, have
some guidance, but yet it'sstill a little.
You got to take a little bit ofa leap.
Speaker 1 (23:22):
A big leap.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
Right From what I
knew.
Yeah, yeah, you still have todo that, which is so interesting
.
Yeah, so you went out on yourown, I did.
Speaker 1 (23:32):
So I.
It's a very interesting story.
I was at a very establishedpractice up in Richfield and one
day, out of nowhere I get acall from another Reiki
practitioner in Pound Ridge andshe says a good friend of mine
has a space in Stanford,connecticut.
I think you should go look atit.
She goes I'm feeling thisintuitively.
I go, come on.
(23:53):
I said you know like I'vethought about this.
And she said well, lisa, youcould give up Richfield totally,
you could do a part time, justgo see.
And I thought, ok, this is notwhat I envisioned, but let me go
.
And the minute I walked in tosit down with this acupuncturist
, our energy came together and Ifelt like I knew him forever.
(24:13):
And guess what?
He had a near-death experience.
It was wow.
Wow so no coincidence in thismeeting of the minds right
Correct, yes.
So right away, we talked moneyand we talked about, you know, a
very you know negotiable rent.
And I took the space.
It was a shared space, but Ithought, you know what it was a
(24:35):
massage therapist and I, andthere was modalities there, so
why couldn't we, you know, youknow, cross sell, or why we
could share patients?
And I thought this would be awonderful opening.
Right, my name was on the door.
You know, this is a bigger stepfor me, um, but I I looked at it
as an exciting step, eventhough that too was another
(24:59):
scary like am I ready for this?
Right, I said it's time for meto do it.
So I did and I left.
I left Ridgefield and doveright into Stanford head on.
Good for you.
And within a short period oftime, people would follow me
from, you know, not many fromthere, but enough.
And then, you know, I had aacupuncturist who had people
(25:19):
come in the office, so he'dintroduced me and things really
fell into place and I wasteaching locally.
So I would, you know, introducethat I was in Stanford, and
that lasted for almost fouryears, with a very steady
practice.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
Yeah, you know that's
a good run.
Speaker 1 (25:37):
Until one day my
client comes in and I was ready
for more.
I really wanted my own room.
I wanted to do what I wantedwith it, and and and everybody
was lovely there.
But I was ready to expand and Ikept asking, you know, source.
I kept asking the most high, okay, I'm ready for this.
So, let's you know.
(25:57):
And my client came in to fish.
Now there's a beautiful spot inNew Canaan and they have a
massage room out there.
Or there's a spot in Stanfordthis gentleman has, you know,
many different locations, wantedto take a look at it.
And I knew.
Once I met with the landlordand saw the layout and I just
(26:18):
knew.
And I started there hourly, youknow I, you know I was renting
the space, you know it was justtwo of us.
And finally I said one day I'mready.
And I didn't have, you know, Ihad following, but I just felt I
was going to take another leapand I sat down and I signed a
lease.
So I'm there.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
So there you are.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
It's my room now, yes
, and so I'm just yeah, and it's
flourishing and it's amazing.
New Canaan is a wonderful, wonderful town.
I'm very familiar with fromresiding in Darien most of my
life, but just wonderful.
And I still have people comingfrom Stanford, I still have
people coming from Richfield.
So I find it amazing.
(27:00):
I find it that you know, whenpeople find a connection with
the right person, they come.
Oh, of course, Of course,Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
So let's talk about
what a healing session is like.
Let's also talk about before weeven talk about what a healing
session is like, let's talkabout what Reiki is as well,
okay.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
Okay.
So Reiki is a force, right.
They call it Reiki because it'shands-on healing, right, that
is from, they say source.
Right, they call it Reikibecause it's hands-on healing,
right, that is from they saysource.
Right, but it's the combinationof source in the knowing of
being able to heal.
We have the power to healourselves, right?
(27:44):
So for me it's interesting yousay this, jeannie, because it is
Reiki, but I also have clearaudio.
So what does that mean?
It means that I hear and I feel.
So it's not fully Reiki, it'sthe divine working fully through
me, you know, and it's veryhard to put that on a website or
(28:04):
in words unless you're on atable, and you were there, so
you know.
So it is directed by what youfeel, where you're led right,
and for me, I'm led to.
You know what shock were to goto.
Are you heartbroken?
(28:24):
Did you have something in yourpast?
Is there something from yourchildhood?
Is there something you've beenstruggling with?
Is it a physical ailment?
Is it an emotional ailment?
What is it?
Or is it all the above?
And so there's two sections tothat.
There is a Reiki session and acord cutting.
Those are two individual thingsthat work on different levels
(28:48):
to help and I'm told what to doand what you need.
You have full choice in thatright.
So when you say what's ReikiReiki is a you know you have
symbols to work with.
That's a Japanese healingdevice.
For lack of better, I don't usethose.
(29:11):
I use a few, not that muchbecause of the voice that speaks
to me, of the feelings I getand the position I'm put in.
It comes really as theconnection from the above right
through me, and I know thatsounds very fairytale, but it's
real.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
No, it's very real
and I've done Re.
Very fairytale, but it's real.
No, it's very real and I'vedone Reiki before and it's
nothing like an experience ofdoing it with you.
And so, just so everyone knows, you stay dressed, you're
dressed, you're on a table,you're dressed, table's nice and
warm, but you're dressed.
This isn't like massage.
You're not naked, you're notflipping over, you're lying
there and it's very comfortableand you will touch different
(29:55):
parts for different chakras atdifferent times.
And so I can feel your handsand I can feel the heat from
your hands and I can feel energymoving, but a lot of it.
And you're not speaking orsaying anything during that time
.
You're just moving your waythrough my body based on how.
You're not speaking or sayinganything during that time.
You're just moving your waythrough my body based on how
you're being guided.
And everyone has differentexperiences and I know for me
(30:19):
personally from my experiencewhen I was there, occasionally I
would have a leg twitch or ahand twitch and I was like, oh,
something's moving, we're movingenergy somewhere.
I was like, oh, something'smoving, right, we're moving
energy somewhere.
And I tried for myself toreally sit and meditate on what
I was looking for some clarityon, and so for me, I was just
(30:39):
focused very inward on beingpresent.
What am I looking for?
clarity on, not trying to findthe clarity, but just that's
what my thoughts were around.
And so what was so interestingand there was also a point and I
said this to you after becauseyou asked what I felt there was
a point where you had your handon my gut and your hand on my
heart and I felt my throattighten, and that's a chakra,
(31:01):
too, and that happened twice, intwo different instances.
I was like my throat feels likeit's there's a blockage there,
based on what little I knowabout chakras.
And what was so interesting isthat everything that I was
really thinking about in tryingto get some clarity on is what
am I doing with this career?
What am I doing with this?
Getting my voice out into theworld?
And I love my podcast and it'struly my passion and I love
(31:21):
speaking and you know kind oflike, is this really where I'm
supposed to be going with this?
And it was so interesting themessages that came back and you
just pause every once in a whileand you're just writing, and
then afterwards we reviewedeverything that had come to you
from the angels that you hadwritten about, and it was
fascinating because, for example, you mentioned something that
(31:44):
has been mentioned to me byother intuitives, which was you
need to hire help, you need tohire help, you need to hire help
.
And what is also so interestingabout that is I walked away
from that session and I was like, okay, that's a clear sign for
me from the universe that I needto go find help.
(32:04):
And I truly believe that theuniverse brings you people at
the right time in the rightplace, when you're ready to
receive them.
And so I use Upwork a lot and Ifound my producer for this from
Upwork.
I went up to Upwork and thesixth person I saw on Upwork
when I did a little search, Iwas like she's the one.
She's perfect.
Wow, she's perfect, becausewhat I need is a very broad set
(32:27):
of skills across a lot ofdifferent things to help me, and
so it's actually a little bitdifficult to find someone who
has that depth of skill set thatshe does, and her rate was an
angel number and get this okay.
So not only is her rate anangel number, she has the skill
sets across multiple platformsthat I need.
She specializes in helpingspiritual entrepreneurs.
(32:49):
That I need.
She specializes in helpingspiritual entrepreneurs.
That is her gift and herpassion.
I love it, oh, my goodness.
So I tell this long storyCorrect?
I tell this long story becauseI think there's so much power in
Reiki and in what you do,because of your ability to be
intuitive and to connect to theangels, to give guidance and
(33:11):
insight, if the patient iswilling to receive those
messages and take them as theyare intended.
And some of the things you saidsaid.
You know it might not be rightnow that you're doing some of
these other things, but it willhappen in divine time, and so it
was just really interesting tosee that guidance in that
direction and that is based onmy experience with Reiki.
(33:34):
That is unique to you.
That is truly a gift that youhave to be.
Angels gave me goosebumpsbecause it was like, oh my
goodness, how do you know that?
You wouldn't know that, but yetthe angels do know that, and so
(33:57):
they channel that, yes, they do.
So it's a long a roundabout wayfor everyone to understand how
powerful this type of sessioncan be.
So I want to talk about whattypes of people come to you to
use your services, and howshould someone think about an
intuitive and a Reikipractitioner like yourself, and
(34:19):
when would they reach out tosomeone like you to help them?
Speaker 1 (34:22):
I think the answer is
and I'm going to be a little
more defiant in a minute isanytime, and what I mean by that
is if you have a small questionor you're being held back in
life.
Do you know?
You feel like you want to dosomething, but you keep falling
back.
Why is that?
There's something underlying inyour subconscious that you're
not releasing.
So if you take the step forwardand release it, there's a whole
(34:46):
big world of opportunity outthere.
So I help people with cancer, you know, to navigate and to
have a tool set and to lessentheir pain depression, grief,
anxiety, physical ailments.
You know, things in the past, jeannie, we're all made up of
(35:08):
our childhood, you know, andthat doesn't mean we had bad
parents, there's no course.
So whatever happened throughour parents, with our parents,
without our parents, and wecarry that, and sometimes we're
unaware that we're carrying it.
So why not unfold that?
Why not take that to thesurface and remove it so you can
(35:30):
live your best life now?
I had a gentleman I like to usethis as an example.
He reached out to me through aninstant message on Facebook
because I do some Facebook Lives.
I find it so people can feel myenergy and he reached out and
he came for a session and hesaid look, I don't know what to
expect.
And I said but you want to knowsomething, that's the best.
(35:51):
You're open, you don't knowwhat.
And he said as soon as I laidhands on him after the guided
meditation, I felt his wife comethrough and I do get messages
from the deceased.
So I got a message from her.
I worked on him and he felt herpresence right above her and
(36:15):
she was speaking to him, notverbally but non-verbally, and
he said it was nothing like heexperienced with two years of
her passing.
So when we finished the sessionbefore I could share the
messages.
He shared his experience and hesaid something huge was lifted
and I'm connected with her nowand my first message was that
(36:39):
she was with him, walking besidehim, and he would feel her now.
So everything lined up and henow sends me people, but he
keeps in touch with me and hewas speaking to his bereavement
group in Wilton, connecticut.
So you know it's not me, I'mthe conduit.
But if I can help peoplethrough minor things or major
(37:01):
things, I believe that's whatI'm here to do right now.
So I hope that people will beable and be receptive to that,
because when you give somethinga try with an open mind, the
results can be miraculous.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
Yes, you can learn a
lot.
So how does it happen ifsomeone doesn't live in
Connecticut and they want to doit over Zoom?
How does that happen?
How does that work?
Speaker 1 (37:24):
We schedule a Zoom
and I start with a guided
meditation and I ask them to getbeing comfortable clothes,
being a comfortable spot, be ita recliner, whether it be a
couch, your bed, it doesn'tmatter to me, and you know I
guide them and my hands will goup, you know, like this, over
(37:44):
the, you know laptop and soforth, and they feel the energy,
because energy reads energy andit doesn't have to be right in
front and I'm still getting allthose messages to share and
confirm with you and the personon the other end still feels the
warmth or tingling, still getsthat vibration that lifts the
(38:09):
heaviness or negative or what'sdeep rooted.
So you can do a Reiki session ora cord cutting via virtual and
you're going to get the sameresults.
I know people question that, but I challenge them to try it
because if you're not in thestate and you can't come, why
not get a healing that can helpyou and clarify or help you on
(38:33):
your journey?
And not always one session isthe answer, but you'll know that
and you'll get a message onthat and you'll be led on your
side as well.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
Well, and I can just
personally say, I've done a
bunch of intuitive work on Zoomand it is just as powerful, like
it really is.
Because when you have someonewho has intuitive gifts, it
still all comes.
The energy is still there, youstill feel the connection and
one of the gifts of doing apodcast for me as a podcast host
is that I get to connect withthe energy of so many empowering
(39:06):
, interesting people many of thewomen and you still feel that I
can still feel the connectionof their energy.
Even though we're recordingthis online, I'm not sitting in
front of them and it's one ofthe gifts of being able to give
that via a video platform to abroader audience is for people
to look and see and feel you.
Like I can look and see and feelyou, so I'm glad you offer Zoom
(39:27):
, because that's really exciting, okay.
So next question what's on yourbucket list?
What else do?
Speaker 1 (39:32):
you want to do?
Oh, so much.
I would love to travel andteach in so many other areas.
You know have even Omega.
I don't know if you've been toOmega in Rhinebeck, one special
place.
You know they have a greataudience there.
So I would love, you know, evenwhen you do.
You know Reiki meditations withintuitive messages.
(39:56):
That's a class I teach.
You can feel the hands-onhealing.
You still get channeledmessages.
I still, if I'm working on you, whisper a message in your ear.
But I love to public speak, so Iwould love to be in front of
people encouraging them to domore with.
You know healing arts and youknow healing.
You know a room of people justby.
(40:16):
You know lifting my hands andletting them feel that vibration
.
Letting them, you know, lettingthem.
If I channel something, youknow it's.
I feel someone in the audience.
You know I'm working on amemoir.
It's been very tough for me.
That's another one of thethings on my bucket list because
I feel the journey I took isvery inspiring to people and
(40:37):
gives them hope.
Whether you have cancer, whether you're an automobile
accident survivor, whetheryou're going through a
depression, there is a light atthe end of the tunnel if you can
plow through that and there's alot of help along the way and
you have to just do that.
But I really want to have abigger audience and I'm hoping
(40:59):
that I'm manifesting that.
Speaker 2 (41:01):
I sure feel so Well
yes, your story is incredible
and what you do in your servicesand also I think what's so
interesting is that I canunderstand this.
Going from corporate America tomoving to something that is a
little more in the woo space, right, not as mainstream for
people, but really having thatsame drive and passion and
(41:21):
commitment that you had when youworked in corporate America
that got you to be a vicepresident, I mean, like that
just doesn't happen.
That takes a real commitmentdrive, work ethic.
Doesn't happen.
That takes a real commitmentdrive, work ethic.
And I can see in you thatyou're transferring that same
part of you to something else.
Which I think is also a reallyimportant lesson is that the
skills that we have in onecareer can transfer to others.
(41:43):
You just might not think so,because it might not look like
it's linear, but they're there.
But they're there and you'retapping into some of those core
traits that you have as a skillset that makes you uniquely you,
in addition to everything else, absolutely yeah, yeah, which is
really powerful.
Ooh, I love that.
Okay, so before we run out oftime, I always like to ask my
(42:05):
guests to recommend a book thathas impacted them personally or
professionally that they wouldlike to share with the audience.
I believe books can changelives, so what book would you
like to recommend?
Speaker 1 (42:15):
It's called Signs by
Laura Lynn Jackson Ooh.
Speaker 2 (42:18):
I haven't read that
one.
Speaker 1 (42:20):
Oh, it's really good.
I took her course at Omega.
But I have to say that if Ididn't read the book, jeannie, I
wouldn't have taken the course, really, Okay, oh yeah, because
Signs is about how she's amedium from a child.
She has these gifts and shehelps various people.
(42:40):
So every story is different andyou feel that vibration, you
feel her message in the book.
It is so life-changing, sopowerful, and it's not one of
these books you breeze through.
I mean you can do that, butyou'll stop and you'll go back
and stop, and you'll even goback and reread it again.
(43:01):
And you know it's funny whensomebody loses a loved one.
A lot of times I'll buy thatbook and I'll wrap it up and
I'll mail it because it givesthem hope on their journey that
they'll speak to their lovedones and they'll get those signs
because they're there and Ithink people want that
clarification.
And then that's another thingin a session, you know loved
(43:22):
ones come through when I'mworking on people.
You know messages of what's inthe heart chakra, right, so
those are all soothing,comforting.
You know confirmation that's soimportant to a human being at
that time.
Speaker 2 (43:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (43:37):
You must read that
book.
Speaker 2 (43:38):
I will absolutely
read that book.
Oh, that sounds really positive.
You will go back to it manytimes in your life.
Speaker 1 (43:44):
Oh yeah, that's a
good one.
Speaker 2 (43:45):
I've never read that
one, so thank you, and I try to
read most of the books that myguests recommend as well.
So is there anything that Ididn't ask you that you want to
make sure you share with theaudience about yourself, your
journey, your inspiration, yourbusiness, anything, anything.
I didn't touch on that.
We didn't cover that you wantto make sure we talk about the
(44:06):
intuitive part of life isimportant.
Speaker 1 (44:09):
What do I mean by
that?
I think in so many instances Ihad clients a lot of men more so
that everything was black andwhite, but they came and they
did the work and it wasn't onesession and it opened their mind
.
It healed things that theydidn't know, that were still
there, they thought, that werehealed.
It made the relationship withtheir spouse or their business
(44:33):
or the business associates, their whole life better and
remove the obstacles that theyknew or didn't know, that were
holding them back, yes, andclarifying answers that maybe
they wouldn't have received ormaybe they wouldn't embarked on
if they hadn't come.
Yes, you know yes.
(44:53):
So I ask people to take theplunge, but I want to say this
Jeannie, I don't offer this much, but if someone's listening to
this podcast and they mentionedthat they heard about this, my
Reiki practice on I'd like tooffer them 10% off their first
session up to June 1st 2025, ifthey'd love to schedule,
(45:16):
something that is so kind andgenerous of you.
Speaker 2 (45:19):
So thank you for
doing that and I really
encourage everybody be open, give it a try.
It is a special type of healingand you are a very gifted,
special type of healer andthey're not all the same and I
can tell you you're verypowerful with what you do.
So I hope everyone takesadvantage of that opportunity to
(45:42):
give it a try and connect withLisa, and you don't have to live
here.
A lot of my listeners do livehere but you don't have to live
here.
You can do it on Zoom as well, and it's just a unique
experience.
Be open to it.
You never know where it'll takeyou and what will happen, and
it might change your life andyou make some big shifts in
different things that might becausing you some blockages, so
one session could put you on atotally different path to
(46:03):
starting to change your life orstarting to heal, which is
important.
Yes, well, thank you so much, lisa, for being on the show.
I will have in the show noteseverything how people can find
you, your website, your email, how they can follow you on
social media.
So I encourage everybody pleasereach out.
And, lisa, thank you so much.
Thank you for the gift you gaveto me from our session and for
(46:23):
the gift that you're giving toour audience as well.
So I wish you a beautiful day.
Speaker 1 (46:27):
Oh, thank you for
having me, Ginny.
Speaker 2 (46:31):
So grateful to you
