a little cosmic magic, you'vejust found your pack.

(01:55):
Listen and watch on Spotify orYouTube and bring the magic back
into your life.
The delusion of Resistance sothis is a really important and impactful
topic and that is resistance.

(02:17):
It's a really sneaky creaturebecause so many of us do not have
the capability to understandwhen we are resisting.
I know, I was there.
I was part of that group.
It happened to me and it stilldoes because it's so insidious that

(02:41):
sometimes it sneaks up on usand we can't even see that it's there.
So my intention with thispodcast is to raise your awareness
so that you can eliminate thisbarrier from your journey.
Resistance is one of the mostcommon blockages for us.

(03:05):
For those of us who are reallytrying attempting, focusing on spiritual
awakening, spiritual healing, spiritual ascension, and who are
attempting to raise theconsciousness of the planet, resistance

(03:27):
is our biggest enemy.
So we're going to talk aboutthat in this podcast.
I'm going to give you manytrue life experiences that I'd like
to share with you about myexperience with resistance.
That was one of the biggestobstacles I had to overcome in my

(03:47):
journey and as soon as I did,I was able to just hit the ground
running.
So if you can tackle this onebeast, this one thorn in your side,
and at the very minimum, beable to identify when you are resisting.

(04:10):
Then you're going to be somuch more successful on your journey
back to wholeness.
So this is going to be areally fun conversation.
I'm going to bring in a lot oftopics that many people are interested
in, including plant medicine, rape, and ayahuasca.

(04:32):
And also some of my ownexperiences with myself and working
with my clients to really helpyou fully understand the purpose
of resistance, what it lookslike, what it feels like, and what
you can do about it.
And then at the very end,we're going to have a healing frequency

(04:55):
from one of the canine spiritguides to assist us in being able
to identify resistance anddissolve it.
How does that sound?
Are you guys ready?
Okay.
So we're taking a topic thatno one wants to talk about, resistance,
and we're going to turn itinto this really fun, engaging experience.

(05:16):
Because it's not a bad word,it's not a four letter word, but
it is critical.
So I made this video onYouTube called 4 Critical Mistakes
that people make that gets intheir way of spiritual growth.
And you can find it on myYouTube channel.
I'm going to put the linkbelow in the description so that

(05:39):
you can find it.
But go and look at that videoand see if any of these four critical
mistakes resonates with you.
But in this video, I go intodepth about resistance itself.
So refer to that for more information.
But for this podcast, we'regoing to go into a deeper understanding

(06:02):
of resistance.
Number one, resistance comesfrom the ego.
The ego is part of us.
It's a necessary part of us.
So you will hear of peoplediscuss and talk about ego death,

(06:26):
but I believe we need tocoexist with our ego.
We just need the ego to take aback seat.
But resistance is part of theego because it's the way the ego
tries to keep you in your lane.
The ego does not like change.
So anything in your life thatpromotes change or that stimulates

(06:53):
you to want to change or thatmight pro provoke you to change is
going to be flagged by the egoas a threat.
So this happens subconsciously.
We're not aware of it becausethat's the ego's job.

(07:13):
So it's really hard at firstto circumvent the ego and to see
resistance for what it is.
Once you get through thatinitial stage where you have instructed
your ego and you've overcomeyour ego, and now your ego sits in

(07:38):
the back, back seat waitingfor you to instruct it to engage.
It's a little bit easier tosee this kind of stuff.
But let's talk about whatresistance looks like.
We're going to talk about whatit looks like, what it feels like,
and what we can do about it.

(07:58):
So the common signs ofresistance, the physical signs of
resistance are holding yourbreath, setting your jaw, you know,
clenching.
That's resistance.
Maybe avoiding a topic or conversation.
There's some resistance there, some energy around resistance in

(08:22):
that conversation.
A very unconscious sign ofresistance is when someone is just
holding energy.
So if you don't want to letenergy go, that's sort of a downstream
effect of resistance.
So if you don't want to let goof your story or your history or

(08:46):
how bad your childhood was, ormaybe if someone suggests how to
overcome this and you're notready, you're going to offer resistance
or you don't want to, you'regoing to offer resistance.

(09:06):
You'll offer an excuse.
So excuses are resistance.
You'll offer an excuse for whyyou can't do it, why you shouldn't
do it, why it's an impossibleask, or it's just not feasible.
There might be some financiallimitations there that can act as

(09:28):
a resistance.
There's many differentversions of resistance.
Another sign of resistance iswhen we judge other people.
We're avoiding or we'redeflecting our resistance.
So that's always a telltale sign.

(09:50):
For me, if I feel myselfjudging someone else, I instantly
go inward and say, okay, whereis it?
Where's my resistance?
So if I have an opinion, areal common opinion, we'll use an
example.
If I have an opinion aboutsomeone else's weight, about what

(10:12):
someone else is eating, thenthere's some resistance to me within
myself around that topic, someresistance around my own weight or
around my own diet.
So resistance can serve as amirror to us sometimes.
And a really subtle sign ofresistance is just the fact that

(10:37):
we might not be as open mindedas we could be or as curious.
So if you're having aconversation with someone and you
feel some resistance aboutwhat they're saying or about that
person, then you'll instantlybe not interested.
Right.
Have you had thoseconversations with people you might

(11:01):
not approve of who they are, what they're wearing, what they do
for a living, what they said?
This is also a form of resistance.
So all of these to me are awarning sign.
And when I feel these creep inwithin myself, I know I need to take
action.

(11:21):
But.
But they can be really hard tosee in yourself until you've trained
yourself to look for them andto appreciate them, because there's
not a judgment on yourselfwhen this creeps in, when the resistance
comes in, there's not a judgment.

(11:43):
You just want to notice it andknow what to do about it.
It's simply a fork in the road.
Do you want to resist and stayfirmly where you are?
Do you want to relax and beopen and curious and possibly change
direction?
So this is the choice.

(12:04):
When resistance rears itshead, the ego is telling you, I don't
want to change.
I don't want to do anything new.
I don't want to learn anything new.
So it's going to tell you thatwhen what's going on at that moment
is a threat to you, and it'sgoing to cause you to retract.
Right.

(12:25):
When we retract intoourselves, we have an opinion.
We're not open minded.
We're not coming from theheart with genuine curio, with genuine
curiosity and concern andcompassion for other people.
So it really blocks us.
It blocks us from ourselvesand it blocks us from our higher

(12:49):
selves.
When we have resistance, thinkof it like, like a shield, like a.
I like a barrier, because itbasically encases you.
So nothing can change.
So when you're in a state ofresistance, you cannot receive.

(13:11):
If you're trying to manifestlike, you know, people want to manifest
things in their lives.
They want more money, theywant more time, they want more love.
And this is all wonderful andgreat, but if you're sitting in the
state of resistance, nothingwill change.

(13:31):
So it doesn't matter what yousay, it doesn't matter what you put
on your vision board, itdoesn't matter what, what affirmation
you say.
If you're sitting inresistance and you're holding this
frequency, nothing is going to move.
So what you're asking for isnot going to happen.
And this is one of the mostcritical mistakes I see with my clients.

(13:56):
And I certainly was affectedand afflicted by this for most of
my life.
And I know intimately whatit's like.
And now being on the otherside of it, I am so thankful that
I finally understand and I canfinally see it for what it is and

(14:20):
move past it.
So the point of thisconversation and this podcast is
to help you in doing that as well.
So some of us can be resistantand have no idea.
I have clients who will signup with me to have an appointment

(14:43):
with the canine spirit guides.
They're very excited aboutthis opportunity.
They have a list of objectivesfor the work.
They fill out all theirpaperwork, they read the book, they
watch all my podcasts, and weget into session, and they're holding

(15:08):
resistance.
It's.
They're holding it in theirenergetic field.
I used an example of holdingon to their story or holding on to
their pain.
It sounds reallycounterintuitive, but there's many
people that just don't want tolet go of their story or their pain.

(15:35):
If I bring it to theirattention, usually the first thing
out of their mouth or thefirst thought they have is, yeah,
but.
Yeah, but you know that one.
Yeah, but in this case, it'sreally hard to see this in yourself.

(16:02):
And this is where working witha mentor or coach or having a really
good friend, that will tellyou the truth, not something that
you just want to hear, butwill tell you what you don't want
to hear, because that's whereresistance lives.
It lives where you don't wantto go, and it has trained you to

(16:26):
avoid it.
So when I get these people onmy caseload, they just don't move.
The frequency can't go through.
If you think about water and abrick wall, can water go through

(16:49):
that brick wall?
No.
Water goes along the side of it.
Over time, it can etch intothe brick wall or the stone.
We see that all the time.
Can reshape stone.
Right.
But it takes a long time to doit that way.

(17:11):
So when we're holdingresistance, we're basically putting
up a brick wall that nothingcan get through.
So the.
The canine spirit guides can'tget through it because this has to
be our choice.
And when we're holdingresistance, we're blocking that choice.
So these people, even thoughthey want to very, very desperately,

(17:36):
they want to change, they wantto be at peace, they want to be healed.
It just doesn't happen becausethey're holding the resistance to
that process until we each getto the point where we surrender.

(17:56):
And usually it happens whenwe're so miserable that we literally
just give up emotionally, mentally, we just say, I surrender.
I. I don't know what I thoughtI knew, but we have to get to that

(18:20):
point where we're thatdesperate sometimes.
And that's.
That's what it took for me.
I had to get where I was that desperate.
And until that point, theangst will continue to build, the
anxiety will continue to build.
The bad luck will continue inyour life.
You'll keep hitting wall.

(18:40):
You'll keep going in circles.
It's like nothing changes inyour life because the resistance
keeps circling you backwardsand holds you in this Little.
It's like a little whirlpoolthat you can't get out of.
And it's maddening.
It's frustrating.

(19:00):
But if you can work with ahealer that understands this, you
can work together.
You must work together.
Everything is free will.
I cannot do it for you.
When you get to the point thatyou're ready to let go, then the
resistance will be shown to you.

(19:23):
You'll see it, and it can bedissolved, and then we can make tremendous
progress.
But this is the number onething that keeps people from achieving
their goal of spiritualascension, spiritual healing, spiritual
awakening, understanding, andreceiving your calling.

(19:49):
Because all the resistancewill block you from all of that.
So it's really critical thatwe learn to spot it and what to do
about it.
So are any of you feeling likeyou might be stuck in this whirlpool
of resistance?
Write it in the comments.
Let's chat about it.

(20:10):
The more we become aware ofit, the easier it is to direct it
and to circumvent it, and thisbecomes a lifelong dance.
Resistance will always be inour lives, but as long as we understand
it and we understand thepurpose of it, which is to protect

(20:34):
the ego, that's all.
That's the only purpose itserves, is to protect the ego.
So we don't want to feelwrong, we don't want to feel violated,
we don't want to feel vulnerable.
We don't want to feel open, because we could get hurt if we feel
open.
And this is what resistancedoes, is it prevents all of.

(20:58):
It prevents the ego fromfeeling any of this.
It creates a brick wall.
So I want to give you someexamples of my experience with resistance.
If you've read my book, CanineSpirit Guides, the Healing Power
of Man's Best Friend, there's a.

(21:18):
There's a lot of examples ofresistance in that book.
Through my journey.
And when we continuously fallprey to resistance, the.
The wall gets thicker andthicker and thicker and higher and
higher and higher.
And what ends up happening isthe messages have to come through

(21:41):
louder and louder and louderfrom your own personal guides to
try and shift you that biggerthings started start happening in
your life.
So when we saw in my lifewhere I got hit by a car on my bicycle
and broke my back, and thereyou see me at the lowest of the low.

(22:05):
And my resistance had createda rage within me.
And here in this event, whenI'm flat on my back and I can't move,
the rage takes over.
So this is what happens whenwe allow resistance to govern us,

(22:29):
to govern our behavior.
Our decisions, the choices wemake, and it keeps us isolated.
When we're open and curious,we're not in resistance.
When we're open and curious,we engage with the world through

(22:51):
love and respect.
When we judge other people,we're resistant.
We're closed.
Our heart's not open.
We can't share the frequencyfrom our heart.
We might be sharing frequencyfrom our mind, but this is not how
humanity heals.

(23:12):
We must heal from our heart.
So as long as we're resistantwith ourselves and with other people,
our heart is closed.
I had a really profoundmessage about resistance from ayahuasca.
Ayahuasca is a shamanic plantmedicine from the Amazon.

(23:38):
Look it up.
I'm not going to give you awhole tutorial on what it is, but
it is a drug that's been usedfor centuries by the indigenous people
of the Amazon.
The medicine, men and women,to connect us deeply to our souls,

(24:00):
to our higher selves, to ourhigher knowing.
And when I finished writing mybook, Canine spirit guides, I was
invited by ayahuasca to comeand sit with her.
Now, these plant medicines I'mgoing to tell you about two today.
Ayahuaska is a very profound, gentle, wise, impactful teacher.

(24:32):
She's a teaching medicine.
When you take this medicine, you go on a journey with ayahuasca,
and she literally takes on a Persona.
Each person she'll appear toin a different Persona.
It might be a wild animal, itmight be a God.
It could be a person in yourlife that she appears to you as whatever

(24:55):
would be acceptable by you, ashow she appears.
And when I sat with her, I was very.

(25:56):
I was one of those who waseager beaver.
I was like, okay, I've doneall my homework.
I have done all my prep work.
I've been medically cleared.
I have been through the ringerto get here because I was tested
before I got to go and sitwith her.
And I know I'm ready.
I was.
I just knew I was ready.
I was open and anxious andready at the same time.

(26:19):
Excited to be there.
Took my medicine, and for along time, nothing happened.
Everyone else in the room washaving a journey.
They were having emotional explosions.
They were vomiting, they were purging.
They were going through their shit.
Nothing happened with me.
After a couple hours, I gotup, had another dose of ayahuasca,

(26:44):
sat back down on my mat.
And after a little bit oftime, things finally started to happen.
I saw all these beautifulcolors, Technicolor.
I'd never seen so many colors.
Beautiful.
Just Floating around, makingall these beautiful designs behind

(27:06):
my eyes, in my mind's eye.
And I was suddenly aware ofsomeone being with me, standing next
to me, a person.
Ayahuasca.
And this is all.
With my eyes closed, I was in.
I had gone inward.
And Ayahuasca says, don't fallfor it.

(27:28):
Don't fall for the trip, right?
The.
The trip is usually wherepeople hang out when they're using
drugs like ayahuasca.
They get to the trip, which isthe pretty part, and they don't go
any deeper.
And she said, get past it.

(27:52):
Go deeper into the learning.
You need to move into the resistance.
And I said, wow, that's profound.
But how do I do that?
And she said, instruct it,control it.

(28:13):
You are in charge.
So when she said that to me,instantly, intuitively, I have no
idea how I figured this out.
Intuitively, I just knew whatshe meant.
And with my thoughts, myconsciousness, I instructed all these
pieces to come together andform an arrow.

(28:35):
And with this arrow, I thenshot it into.
Into the resistance, breakingit up and dissolving it.
And when that happened, I went deep.
I finally got through theresistance, and I was able to access
the deeper part of me that Icame there to spend time with and

(28:59):
to understand and to reconnect.
Now, another lesson she taught me.
She.
Gave me an analogy at thatpoint, because she's a teaching medicine,
she will literally talk yourear off.
She will tell you everythingyou want to know, as long as you're
not sitting in resistance.

(29:20):
If you sit in resistance, whathappens is nothing.
Or you vomit your guts out.
For the next four hours, you're sitting in resistance.
When you're working withmedicine, the purging is the.
The way that we get rid of the resistance.
So if all you do is purge andyou don't go on your journey, you're

(29:44):
still sitting in resistance.
So she shared with me ananalogy of the sperm and the egg.
So the successful sperm hasfull intention to overcome all resistance.

(30:05):
That's its goal in life, that's its only purpose in life,
is to shoot through theresistance, through that cell wall,
into the egg, to fertilize it, right?
Think about that.
How many sperms get to that egg?

(30:26):
What, millions?
Trillions?
I don't know.
I. I can't give you that data.
I know it's a lot.
And all but one will hit theresistance and bounce off right?
When the successful spermcomes down that tunnel and around

(30:46):
the corner, having no ideawhere he's going, except that he's
fully intent on.
On reaching his goal and notletting anything get in his way.
Breaking through all the resistance.
This sperm has no idea what'sgoing on.
He just knows what he's guidedto do.
He knows what his purpose is.

(31:08):
He doesn't know where it is.
He's following his gut, following his gut.
Coming around this corner inthe dark over to this little bitty
egg sitting in the corner.
There's a whole lot of othersperm sitting around it.
He doesn't stop to assess the situation.
He doesn't stop to say, can I succeed?

(31:30):
He doesn't stop to say, is itmy turn to try and get in?
Nope.
He just plows right down thetunnel, around the corner and into
the egg.
Right?
That's how we get through resistance.
We full on shoot through itwithout any apologies, without any

(31:51):
regrets, without any hesitation.
We just go for it, right?
She was showing me thisexample, and I have used it from
then on out.
I've used it in my life toknow when I've been resisting.

(32:12):
If I stop to think about it,if I stop to try and analyze it,
if I stop to question it, thenI'm sitting in resistance.
So that for me was a greatlesson from ayahuasca, because that
was really subtle.

(32:33):
It's hard sometimes to realizethat you're resisting.
It's so quiet, insidious andnatural to go into that state.
So it takes some practice andsome coaching sometimes for us to
realize that's what happened.

(32:53):
Now, let's talk about anexperience I have oftentimes with
rape.
Rape is another plant medicinethat I use.
Since my experience withayahuasca, I've also been using rape
on a regular basis.

(33:15):
It is another plant medicinefrom the Amazon.
It's a shamanic tobacco andit's very skilled, especially skilled
at breaking through resistance.
And this is why I like it so much.

(33:36):
When I work with rape, I amtypically working with my own resistance
and sometimes with my clients.
Resistance.
Let me explain what I mean by that.
If I suspect that I'm sittingin resistance over something that's
happened, a direction I wantto go into, a belief that I have,

(34:01):
or maybe a relationship.
If I'm sitting in resistancearound that relationship, or maybe
a business opportunity, I willsit with rape and request that rape
show me the resistance andhelp me dissolve it.
Because this is what thismedicine does.

(34:21):
Rape is a cleaner of the body, the physical body, the energetic
body.
And when you work with rape,if there is resistance in the body,
it will cause you to purge, toget the resistance out.
So the More you purge, themore resistance you have.

(34:42):
So that's a really good meter.
It's really easy to see thatconversion because you can see it
in the bucket, right?
So if you can sit with rapeand not purge, then you're effectively
holding that energy andholding that frequency without having

(35:02):
a resistance to it.
So I will work with rape if I'm.
If I expect that I'm holdingresistance, and it will help me move
through that, because once Ipurge, the frequency can get through
and I can move that resistanceout of the way, take it out of the
equation.
It will no longer affect me,it will no longer block me, and I

(35:27):
can move forward in that direction.
So you see how powerful, powerful resistance is.
It's even contagious.
So we have to be veryconscious and aware of.
Of how much this affects us ashuman beings, how much it affects
our society, and whether ornot our society can grow and shift

(35:52):
and elevate its frequency bystaying in resistance.
Nothing will change bydissolving the resistance.
Everything will change in apositive way, in an enlightened way,
into love and light.
Right.

(36:13):
If we sit in resistance, it'snot possible.
Okay, so that was a lot about resistance.
We're going to be doing achanneled healing session with the
canine spirit guides aroundresistance so that this will cause
you to be able to see it.

(36:34):
It will assist you in beingable to see it more easily.
We're not going to do anythingthat will individually dissolve your
resistance, but it will giveyou the ability to identify it so
you can take that action.
Thank you for joining me today.

Paper Ghosts: The Texas Teen Murders

Paper Ghosts: The Texas Teen Murders takes you back to 1983, when two teenagers were found murdered, execution-style, on a quiet Texas hill. What followed was decades of rumors, false leads, and a case that law enforcement could never seem to close. Now, veteran investigative journalist M. William Phelps reopens the file — uncovering new witnesses, hidden evidence, and a shocking web of deaths that may all be connected. Over nine gripping episodes, Paper Ghosts: The Texas Teen Murders unravels a story 42 years in the making… and asks the question: who’s really been hiding the truth?
