Speaker 1 (00:03):
Dear 1993 me.
I can't help but reflect on thejourney we've taken over the
past three decades.
Back in 1993, fresh out of theGoddard community college, I was
filled with the hope andambition that the world was my
oyster.
Little did I know what thebiomedical equipment technology

(00:27):
industry had in store for me.
1993 me we were so afraid to beourselves and play the role
that others expected of us.
Why did we allow fear to holdus back from embracing our true
potential?
Looking back, I realized thatworrying about things we

(00:48):
couldn't control was a sign thatwe weren't truly in control at
all.
Life is filled withuncertainties and while we can't
control every outcome, we can'tcontrol how we react to them.
1993 me our mistakes are notjust our future, but rather they

(01:09):
are opportunities for growth.
It's not about the mistakesthemselves, it's about how we
handle them.
1993 me as we embarked on theworld of biomedical equipment
technology, you and I were facedwith many challenges.
We didn't know how to repairall the equipment and we were

(01:31):
unsure of the best path to takein this industry.
But, 1993 me we had to takechances.
We had to step out of ourcomfort zone and explore what
this field had to offer.
You see, 1993 me, it's easy toplay it safe, to stay within our

(01:52):
comfort zone, but that's notwhere the greatness is found.
Nobody will hand us success ona silver platter.
We must work diligently everyday, striving for excellence.
It's through this commitment toexcellence that we discover our
true value and work.

(02:14):
I want you to know, in 1993 me,that you were not inadequate.
You had to potential all along.
We are fortunate to be in anindustry that offers
opportunities for personal andprofessional growth, not just
for ourselves, but for ourfamily as well.

(02:34):
Look at where we are now, ourfamily with a wife, two kids and
even a namesake in the exactsame industry as you are.
Our hard work and dedicationhas paid off in more ways than
we could have imagined.
Now, 30 years later, in theyear 2023, I can proudly say

(02:57):
that we are still on the path weset out to follow when we first
embarked on this journey.
We didn't waste our opportunityand we continue to push
ourselves, learn and grow.
So, dear 1993 me, as younavigate the uncertainties of

(03:18):
your time, I want you toremember this Embrace who you
are, take chances and don't letfear hold you back.
Your future is bright and youhave the power to shape it into
a sub-team.
Extraordinary.
Sincerely your 2023 self.
