Welcome to Identify and Conquer your go-to Mental Health Fitness Podcast. We could all use a little work on our brains - specifically our emotional and psychological health. We're going to discuss our mental health - in terms of mental stability, strength, flexibility, creativity, and mindset shifts. This will be different than the traditional podcast. Together we will identify the things that keep us stuck – what fears, insecurities, negative emotions, and limiting beliefs are holding us back. How our own brain taunts us and can be our own worst enemy. We will explore weakening the saboteur region of the brain and strengthening the section of the brain where our sage resides. We'll discuss neuroscience, mental illness, and how to reframe our thoughts to help avoid anxiety, depression, and general unhappiness. This podcast is going to be multifaceted and interactive – if you want to play in those spaces with me, or you can just sit back and listen. I am not just going to talk AT you – I am going to provide worksheets and handouts and we are going to do the work together. By working together and working consistently will create the change we need to conquer negative mindsets. We are going to get to the bottom of what is stopping us from living our best life. We will explore the negative things we do and say to ourselves to sabotage our success and happiness. This is all about doing the work to make lasting change and getting unstuck once and for all. This is about having a mental health fitness plan. We have all participated in team-building events or retreats and leave ready to change the world - then two days later we're over it and back to our old lives. This is because nothing is continuing to feed that excitement or give us tools to keep us motivated and successfully implement lasting change…. This is that place. In this episode, I discuss the difference between boundaries and walls, why people build walls instead of boundaries, and how to convert a wall to a boundary. Boundaries keep us safe and protected by keeping us open and flexible depending on who we are interacting with. Walls are up for everyone and keep the hurt we are trying to protect ourselves from locked in with us.Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/mentalfitness)

And, how to handle the people in our lives who come to us when they are hurting so...
In this episode, I discuss how we are not meant to live with regret. In this episode, I discuss the misconception that overthinking is problem-solving or critical thinking. It is not. Overthinking keeps your brain in loops of overanalyzing, stress, anxiety, and depression. It is not productive, but there are ways to break the cycle and stop living in a state of your brain, and the thoughts in your brain controlling your life.Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/mentalfitness)

This episode is about when we choose to freeze, both literally and figuratively. When there is a threat or perceived threat to our survival and we react by freezing. When fight or flight does not get activated and we put ourselves in harm's way by not moving. And how then, do we unfreeze?Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/mentalfitness)

This episode discussed how being yourself helps you find the people who are meant to be in your life while helping you find where you really belong in this life. Accepting the fact that not everyone will like you and that you don't belong everywhere makes life easier. Not everyone will like you. And that's a good thing. So stop trying.

This episode illustrates how sharing our stories with others helps us heal, helps us connect, and helps us feel less alone. When we share our stories, especially the ones that haunt us, they lose their power and make us stronger.Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/mentalfitness)

If you can never get enough true crime... Congratulations, you’ve found your people.
The most notorious mass murder in Ohio’s history happened on the night of April 21, 2016 in rural Pike County. Four crime scenes, thirty-two gunshot wounds, eight members of the Rhoden family left dead in their homes. Two years later a local family of four, the Wagners, are arrested and charged with the crimes. As the Wagners await four back-to-back capital murder trials, the KT Studios team revisits Pike County to examine: crime-scene forensics, upcoming legal proceedings, and the ties that bind the victims and the accused. As events unfold and new crimes are uncovered, what will it mean for all involved? What will it mean for Pike County?
