John McLaren is a former Major League Baseball manager and coach with a distinguished career spanning multiple teams, including the Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox, Cincinnati Reds, and Tampa Bay Devil Rays. With a passion for developing players and fostering strong team dynamics, John also made a significant impact as a coach for the United States national baseball team during the 2006 World Baseball Classic. After a long and successful career in coaching and managing, including a brief tenure as the Mariners’ manager in 2007-2008, John retired from professional baseball but continues to make a difference. Now, as the manager of the Baseball United league in Dubai, he has found new ways to apply his leadership and expertise. John is also a passionate advocate for mental wellness, particularly for athletes, believing that a smile and happiness are often the best tools for combatting anxiety, trauma, and life’s challenges.
