Intolerance

The Intolerance podcast is an extension of Athena Casey’s memoir, which is currently in the developmental editing stages, and is about losing her entire immediate family due to their homophobia. Each episode of Intolerance features an interview with either a Survivor, Ally, or Healer of intolerance. Examples of forms of intolerance discussed include: ageism, homophobia, racism, sexism, transphobia, xenophobia, ableism, and the list goes on and on. Survivor Episodes:You will hear about the Survivors’ encounters with intolerance, and you’ll learn about resources and tools they found helpful throughout their journey. Ally Episodes:You will hear from many of these Survivors’ Allies about how to be a better support system to an individual going through the grief and trauma of intolerance. You will also hear from Allies of communities and groups who have been historically underrepresented.Healer Episodes You will hear from many Healers who provide valuable resources for both Survivors and Allies, exploring and introducing various healing modalities. By sharing these stories, Athena's hope is that they will inspire and educate, helping all involved to not only survive, but thrive.
