SPEAKER_00 (00:04):
Welcome to Islamic
Life Coach School Podcast.
Apply tools that you learn inthis podcast and your life will
be unrecognizably successful.
Now your host, Dr.
Kamal Akhtar.
Hello, hello, hello everyone.
Peace and blessings be upon allof you.
Today I'm going to be talkingabout a very amazing concept
which I've named your Qadrreveal.
(00:25):
It's hard to explain in wordsbecause this is somewhat of an
ethereal concept.
It's gonna be hard to explain inexperiential terms with language
that limits the experience.
But as always, I will try and Iwill keep trying.
Like always, we all keep trying.
So here goes.
Kadr reveal is a concept that isabout creating a new potential
(00:47):
reality for yourself as italigns with your Qadr as it
already exists.
I've spoken about this topicbefore in episode number fifty
one.
And this episode was ratherearly in my podcasting journey,
so don't mind if the tone isvery different from now.
But I do recommend that yourevisit that episode because it
is based on a powerful concept.
(01:08):
And today I'm going to expand onthis concept of Kadr through
this episode and the next one, being that this is going to be a
two part series from the lens ofpossibilities.
Kadr is known to you as beingfactual as it relates to the
past and the present, but it isnot known to you as factual as
it relates to the future.
(01:30):
You don't know what the futureholds and since you don't know
that information, how about youuse that to your benefit?
Meaning since you don't know thefuture possibility, then what
part can you take in creating afuture of your desire among this
unknown?
Your active participation inthis starts with you choosing a
(01:51):
belief from a pool of preexisting beliefs.
Imagine there are a millionpossibilities in the sea of
possibilities, and you chooseone of those possibilities.
It's just one thought that youchoose from it.
That thought creates an emotion, which generates an action, which
(02:12):
creates a result in your life.
That is you taking part in yourQadr as it relates to your
future.
Because future Qadr is unknownto you, so it exists as a sea of
possibilities, and only Allahsubhanahu wa ta'ala is capable
of creating that sea ofpossibilities.
(02:32):
What your responsibility is isto pick one of those thoughts
among the million and million ofpossibilities that exist, and
once you do that, you will makethat into a lived reality for
yourself.
So in this sense, there is apool of pre existing thoughts
that is your kadr as it relatesto your future.
(02:53):
What you choose from this pool, this ocean, is what will help
shape the future outcome.
And all you have to do is chooseyour thoughts with awareness.
Whatever you choose will becomethe reality.
It becomes the idea that youchanneled, compared to all of
the rest of the ideas that couldnot be channeled and did not
(03:13):
become reality.
Based on this, you're living alife that is a string of
moments, one after another, where in each moment you are
picking a thought from theinfinite pool of possible
thoughts and channeling an ideainto reality.
Now this is where it becomesinteresting.
When an idea of what is possiblefor your life enters your
(03:35):
awareness for the first time, this is what I'm calling a Qadr
reveal.
This is your first exposure to anew possible reality that you
have not previously considered.
And this new thought might beframed as maybe this is possible
for me.
And this whole process isfollowed by a cognitive
(03:56):
expansion where your perceivedoptions for your life increase.
And it could be a moment whensomeone suggested an idea that
had never occurred to youbefore, like realizing you could
work part-time and make the sameamount of money as full timers,
or realizing that you can bake acake that is based on healthy
ingredients.
(04:16):
What is important about thisKader Reveal is that it's based
on a framework where your lifeis not just one solid, fixed
identity moving through time.
Your life is a continuous streamof moments, and every moment
you're perceiving, selecting,amplifying, and embodying
(04:37):
thoughts from an infinite rangeof possibilities, these thoughts
that are available to you as acollective human consciousness.
The overwhelming majority ofMuslim women or even human
beings believe that they'rethinking when what they're doing
is mostly just repeating thesame patterns, not thinking from
(04:59):
new possibilities.
They're repeating familiarinterpretations, the same
emotional patterns, similaridentities.
This is where your life willfeel fixed not because your
future reality is fixed, butbecause your access to thoughts
has become repetitive.
And this is why this concept ofKadar reveal is extremely
(05:21):
profound.
By definition, a Kadar reveal isnot a creative idea, it's not
even constant positive thinking,it's not fantasy.
It is the first moment apreviously inaccessible solution
enters your awareness andbecomes cognitively available to
you.
It is a thought that yourcurrent identity was not
(05:44):
previously able to access.
So the key characteristics of aKhadr reveal thought is that it
introduces something.
It does not have to come withcertainty, although that can be
a part of it, that whensomething becomes available to
you, you're certain that this ishow you need to move forward,
but you don't have to be.
(06:06):
Sometimes this Khadr revealthought is weak, like maybe or
what if.
Another characteristic is thatit expands your previously
perceived options.
So before this level ofrevelation, your brain believes
that the available paths arelimited, but after the
revelation, the range ofpossible futures increases.
(06:30):
Another characteristic is thatit might come from a multitude
of sources, meaning it can comeexternally from another person's
suggestion, exposure to somebodyelse's life or experience, it
can come from coaching, or itcan come internally, like in a
dream or a spontaneous idea.
(06:50):
The next characteristic is thatit precedes belief formation,
meaning a belief is a thoughtthat your body is on board with,
but a qadrveal might be athought that you might just be
logically entertaining and yourbody might not believe it yet.
And that's okay.
Again, the point is your initialaccess to that thought.
(07:12):
The point is not that you quitebelieve it yet.
That might happen in the futureif you continue to entertain the
thought.
So initially it might just be apossibility, then it might grow
into consideration, a belief allthe way into embodiment.
And once you do that, that'swhen you can take actions from
it, and that's where it createsdifferent outcomes.
(07:36):
The Qadr reveal is a thought atits very first initial stage.
So for me, an example for thatwas I was a physician with
complete burnout, but I wasstill attempting to function at
a high level, but constantlyliving at the edge of reactivity
and dysregulation.
So everyone around me loved thelevel of productivity I provided
(07:58):
and the endurance I had.
But what I assumed is thatexhaustion was the unavoidable
price of meaningful work.
This is the belief that kept mein the old pattern of burnout,
and I thought that was just apart of my cadr as working as a
physician.
Then one day a thought appearedin my mind that tells me what if
(08:20):
my work was supposed to expandme instead of consume me?
So this thought felt almostillegal at first because it
threatened my entire identitystructure built around
exhaustive hard work.
But once this possibility becamevisible and I allowed it to
exist and grow, I could notunsee it.
(08:42):
At that point a new range ofchoices started to exist for me
psychologically, and acompounding effect of that one
thought is the result of thelife that I'm living currently,
enjoying flexibility and immensegratitude and expansion in my
life, being the same physicianworking the same job.
(09:02):
And I'm gonna continue to giveyou examples like this to help
you internalize this concept.
Let's say you're a Muslim motherof an autistic child who has
spent years that believing yourworth is tied to how well you
can control your child'sbehavior.
And every thought you have hadaccess to up until this point in
your life is survival based.
(09:24):
And then one day you hearsomeone say, What if instead of
controlling your child'sbehavior, you helped your own
nervous system?
And suddenly you realize thatyou've never once considered
that regulating yourself mightmatter more than hypermanaging
your child.
And this single Qadr revealthought that appeared to you out
(09:47):
of the possibilities of amillion thoughts that exist
changes how you interpret yourparenting, changes your
relationship to your ownhealing.
It provides an easier pathtowards your mental health and
towards raising a successful,independent, neurodivergent
child.
It completely changes the resultof how you deal with motherhood
(10:10):
itself.
Or if you're a woman who wantsto start a business, but you
assume that successful peopleare fundamentally different.
They're more confident and morecharismatic for some reason.
Then you meet an ordinary personmaking millions in their
business from a simple idea, andall of a sudden you have access
to this cutarreve thought.
(10:31):
Oh, this is a learnable skill.
This is an external informationthat you internalized having
started as a belief that you cando this too, and your limiting
beliefs as it relates to yourbusiness start to collapse.
This creates a completelydifferent future outcome because
you chose to believe apossibility from the ocean of
(10:53):
possibilities.
These are all very practical andsimple ways a thought can
inspire you and completelychange your life.
All you have to do is spendenough time with the new
possibility.
Because before the Qadr reveal, the new reality did not exist
psychologically or practically.
(11:14):
When a Qadr reveal enters yourrealm of possibilities, it can
happen through a conversation,it can happen through a podcast,
through a billboard, through arandom sentence that you came
across, a moment of yourreflection, a sudden internal
knowing.
It can come from a child, it cancome from a learned scholar, it
(11:35):
can come from Quran, it can comefrom your spiritual studies.
No matter where it comes from, all it requires of you is to
entertain the possibility thatthis might be true.
Because that is the moment wherea different version of life
becomes visible to you, which isnot fully practical right away,
especially in the beginning, butit's just enough to grab your
(11:57):
attention that your mind circlebacks to it.
In the beginning it might looklike I don't know if that's
possible, I don't know if I cando that.
Then it becomes more and more ofa possibility.
And that is Kadr reveal, meaningyou don't know what your
possible existence in the futuremight look like, and you can use
(12:18):
that unknown to your benefit.
What happens immediately after aKhadr reveal is a cognitive
expansion, where your perceivedoptions of your life increase.
In this framework, thisexception is a perceptual access
to a broader range of Qadr thatis possible.
(12:39):
If you're not open to thisconcept, that's okay, but I will
warn you that you might only beliving through possibilities
that your lower brain offersyou.
And then it doesn't matter howmany infinite solutions your
problem exists out there.
The solution would never enteryour life as a possibility if
(12:59):
you don't stabilize yourselfenough to perceive it.
The difference that I want youguys to be very cognizant about
and I'm trying to make it clearover and over again is that this
new thought was not created inthat moment.
It was always created.
It was just unknown to you.
It has just entered yourawareness now.
(13:21):
And this distinction mattersimmensely because Allah is the
only being that creates fromnothing.
Human beings cannot do that.
Human beings become aware of,they interact with, they select
from, they channel thepossibilities that already exist
within the infinite range ofwhat Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
(13:44):
has already created and madepossible.
And once you understand this, you begin to see life extremely
differently.
You begin to realize that mostof your suffering that is in
pain is because of yourperceptual illusion and
limitation.
People believe that they'retrapped because of their Qadr,
but it is because of theirlimited access to the future
(14:05):
possibilities that their Qadrholds.
And since they don't have thatawareness, they keep recycling
the same range of availablethoughts.
And another possible distinctionin this phrase Qadr reveal that
I want you guys to be aware ofis that it is not meant to be
said in a sense of divinerevelation that was given to the
(14:27):
prophets.
Islam categorically closedrevelation of that level after
Prophet Muhammad, peace be uponhim.
So revelation as it is given tothe prophets is known as Wahi,
and it is fundamentallydifferent from what ordinary
human beings experience.
The prophetic revelation is thedirect communication from Allah
(14:49):
subhanahu wa ta'ala, and it isprotected from any error in its
transmission.
It is authoritative forhumanity, and it was delivered
through Angel Jibreel.
This is a source of scripture, law and religious guidance.
This is very, very differentfrom intuition and insight, and
it is extremely different fromyour own creativity.
(15:12):
Wahi is not even somethingspiritually advanced people
continue to receive afterprophethood.
Wahi ended with the ProphetMuhammad, peace be upon him.
What ordinary people experienceis very different.
Islam in itself also containsmultiple concepts of non
prophetic form of an inneropening, their Ilham, or
(15:33):
inspiration, or firasa, deepintuitive perception, or hikmah
wisdom, or basira, which isinsight or inner seeing.
The mother of Musa was inspiredin the Quran to place her child
in the river.
But this is not prophethood.
(15:53):
The Quran uses the language ofinspiration and casting it into
the heart.
This is not legislated as theprophetic form of revelation.
So this matters because myconcept of Kadar Reveal is much
closer to an expanded awarenessand perceptual access that is an
insight that everyone has accessto if you allow it.
(16:17):
It is the unveiling ofpossibilities, a new recognition
of something that was previouslyunseen.
Kadar reveal is not wahi, andthere is a huge theological
difference between the two.
So there's a couple of reasonswhy I wanted to make this
distinction clear.
One that I didn't want you tomisinterpret what I was saying,
(16:38):
and two that I don't want you tosense your Kadar Reveal moments
to be divine legislation.
Your Qadr reveal moments are notabsolute truths with the capital
T.
It might be your truth, which itis an extremely important truth,
which carries an immense weightand value, but it is not the
(17:00):
truth as classified to be so byAllah.
It is not infallible guidance.
It is a moment where yourawareness expands enough to
perceive a possibility or areality that was completely
outside of your perceptual fieldpreviously.
And this Qadr reveal might hateyou like an aha moment that oh
(17:22):
my god, why didn't I considerthis before?
This is the absolute wayforward, and that might be true
for you, and you're more thanwelcome to continue to pursue
that path.
Or it might reveal to you inmore of a subtle way, like an
amber burning lightly, needingmore oxygen, more air, more
attention to come into itsmaturity, to become a full fire.
(17:47):
God reveal might be a thoughtthat might be partially true or
completely true.
It might create change slowly,or it could solve everything
instantly.
It might change the trajectoryof your life in the most
beautiful way possible.
It may lead you towards healing, purpose, regulation, growth,
spirituality, healthyrelationships, financial
(18:10):
independence.
It might do all of that quicklyor slowly.
A journey that ensues after youaccept a Kadarveal thought is
not written in stone.
It is flexible and adaptable.
If this thought is partiallytrue, then it will require some
time to mature.
Your interpretation of it willrequire wisdom and refinement.
(18:33):
You as a human being are ameaning making machine, and the
moment a new possibility entersyour awareness, your ego is
going to want to rush to explainit.
But sometimes that thoughtcannot be explained quickly, and
that might be just because yourcurrent understanding of it is
incomplete, and that's okay.
(18:54):
That does not render yourthought invalid.
It just means that it might needsome more time.
All of these explanations arenot to distance you from the
actual work of continuing toidentify what is possible for
you.
I want you to be on the quest ofKader Reveal and be okay if
(19:14):
sometimes you're wrong about it.
And that is because you have acomponent of humanity working
for you.
You're not infallible.
And this is why my coaching onyour soulful intelligence
becomes so important here.
If you're a woman with adysregulated nervous system, you
will have an ego attachment, atrauma burden, and overall if
(19:36):
you're operating from a lowconsciousness set point, you can
easily confuse impulse for truthor guidance.
Because that might feelemotionally intense in that
moment.
This new possibility as revealedto you as a potential qadr.
It is not automatically sacredor correct.
It is not even the ultimatetruth.
(19:58):
It is an invitation into yourawareness that needs to pass
through your discernment, youremotional regulation, your
ethics, the Islamic principlesof spirituality that you operate
from.
It needs to pass through realitytesting and wisdom.
Don't confuse a Qadr revealthought with impulsivity,
(20:19):
although it can feel impulsive, but it requires your time and
your discernment.
In the next episode I'm gonnaexplain to you what these
thoughts look like and why youneed to be at the highest level
of alignment for you to evenaccess these possibilities.
With that I pray to AllahSubhanahu wa Ta'ala, Ya Allah,
(20:42):
open my and all of our awarenessto possibilities that bring me
closer to you.
Protect us from confusing egowith guidance.
Allow us to recognize what ismeant for us to grow.
Allow our hearts to stay open tothe million possibilities that
your Qadr holds for us, andallow it to create Baraka in our
(21:05):
life.
Protect me and all of us fromevery thought that distances us
from you.
Amin Yarabulalmin.
Please keep me in your daras, Iwill talk to you guys next time.
