Most of us avoid thinking about losing a loved one at all costs. We feel that if we never think about it, then it can't happen to us. People also have a tendency to avoid those who've had a recent loss simply because they may not know what to say. Whatever the case, without their realizing it, their actions isolate those they are avoiding, making the severity of their friend's or family member's grieving all the worse.
