SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
Wagwan, we are back for another episode.
This is my second time recordingthis one.
I was editing it last night andit turns out I had soy sauce on
my shirt the entire time.
So we're here again.
Today we're going to be talking, well I'm going to be doing a
little bit of a story time.
I haven't done one of these yet.
A lot of the stuff I've beentalking about is more like news,
pop culture, trending, boob up,whatever we're talking about.

(00:24):
But I've got a personal storythat I want to tell you and then
I'm I'm going to go into the popculture trending boob app that I
was talking about before.
So I want to ask you, well, everyone has crazy high school
drama.
Everyone's got something thathappened to them in high school
or something that happened tothem just after high school
that's a little bit crazy.
And I have one of those, likeeveryone else.

(00:46):
But what would you do if you sawyour girlfriend cheating on you?
Be a bit annoyed, right?
What if your girlfriend wascheating on you with one of your
ex-girlfriends?
Yeah, so that's why the title ofthis episode is 50 Shades of
Gay.
We're going to be diving intowhat I did and what happened.
We're also going to be jumpinginto some weird podcast

(01:07):
sponsors.
Not ones that are sponsoring meyet, but those ones that are
repetitive as and you hear themevery time.
And then we're going to bejumping into as well, a little,
another story time, anotherpersonal little anecdote
about...
buying stuff accidentally usingyour parents' money.

(01:28):
You'll hear it later.
But yes, Fifty Shades of Gay.
You're going to enjoy thisepisode.
It's going to be

SPEAKER_01 (01:34):
fun.
Enjoy.

SPEAKER_00 (01:43):
Girlfriend number one.

(02:10):
was like a casual year ninerelationship.
Wasn't anything crazy.
One of those almost forgettableones.
Didn't really count is what wewere saying.
But her mom was a little bitcrazy.
That should have been a bit of ared flag for me.
She messaged me after we brokeup saying, why did you and
girlfriend break up?
What's wrong?
Talk to me.

(02:30):
Talk to me.
Let's make it happen.
And I was like 15 or 16.
So that should have been a 15, Iwas 15, so that should have been
a pretty major red flag, buthey, is what it is.
One of those relationships thatwas like, cool, whatever.
Girlfriend number two, however, was a lot more of a serious

(02:50):
relationship.
We met at my work.
She didn't work with me, but wemet there.
Came to family Christmas, met myentire extended family.
And I had my license around thattime as well, like just got my
P's.
So it was a lot more seriousthan that first relationship.
And I was emotionally invested.

(03:10):
It wasn't just a fling.
So that's like the premise.
Girlfriend two, seriousrelationship was serious, more
serious relationship.
Girlfriend one, very much ashort term, like year nine,
nothing real happenedrelationship.
So this all went down at, One ofmy close friends' birthday

(03:31):
parties.
Everyone was drinking, havingfun.
Everyone's families were there.
It was her 17th, so parents werestill there just because the
kids were drinking.
Parents were there just makingsure that everyone was doing the
right thing.
No one was going too off therails.
And as I did, and as you shoulddo, I was introducing girlfriend
number two, because we weretogether at the time.
I was introducing girlfriendnumber two to everyone.

(03:53):
This is who she is.
Most of my mates already knewher.
But a lot of the other people atthe party didn't.
So I did the right thing, introduced them.
I introduced girlfriend numbertwo to girlfriend number one
because girlfriend number oneand me didn't have any beef.
We were fine.
We both kind of like ignored ourprevious relationship in a way.
But that happened.

(04:14):
And then about an hour, hour anda half into the party is when
shit started to like go down.
So I was outside with my mates, having a fun time, hanging
around the pool.
having a couple of drinks, youknow, do what you do.
And I went inside to grabsomething to eat and just to see
where girlfriend number two was.
Cause I was like, I haven't seenher in a minute.

(04:35):
We should probably go like checkup on it and make sure she's all
right.
Then I walk in, look into theliving room, look on the couch.
There's girlfriend number twomaking out with girlfriend
number one.
Like, oh, okay.
That's interesting.
That's not right.
I wasn't really sure what to,what to think.

(04:57):
when that happened but I askedthem to stop I was like hey guys
like can you not and they'relike yeah sure sorry whatever we
got a bit out of hand I'm likeokay big deal I was happy to
ignore that and then go outsidecouple more drinks go back
inside and still at it still atit people saw as I said before

(05:19):
the parents were around theplace and the parents were in
the living room area where theywere and the parents were like
whoa what is going on And that'swhen I got annoyed and I wasn't
sure how to react.
And I don't know if it's mebeing traditional, but
cheating's cheating, right?
So in short, short story timeactually, my second girlfriend

(05:44):
cheated on me with my firstgirlfriend.
So that's fun.
It's really fun.
Now the next morning is when Iwas like, ooh, that's kind of
f***ed up.
That's not cool.
So I did a...
Not a bad thing.
I did a thing.
I broke up with her.
As I should have.

(06:06):
Probably not in the best way.
Kind of bit shittily.
I broke up with her over thephone.
I was annoyed.
Didn't really want to see her.
I should have done it in person.
Because she still has one of myhoodies.
And I really want that hoodieback.
But it's fine.
It's been too long.
It's been a couple years now.
I'm not getting that hoodieback.
She can have it.
And...
The one thing that properlyannoyed me is the excuse of it

(06:30):
didn't count because I'mstraight was floated by her.
That hit a nerve.
And again, don't know if it's mebeing traditional, but pretty
sure cheating's cheating.
Doesn't matter if it's a girland a girl, guy and a girl, guy
and a guy.
I don't care.
Cheating is cheating.
But now looking back at it,looking back on the whole

(06:53):
situation, it is...
quite funny to say the leastit's one of those very much like
a dad law type of thing likeeveryone talks about dad law one
of my mates got stuck in a firewhen he was over in europe
somewhere and instead of leavingthe bushfire he decided to put
his drone up in the air and takephotos now he sells the photos
online it makes a whole lot ofmoney different story story for

(07:13):
another day but it makes for agreat piece of dad law and for
some reason not for some reasoni know the reason why But every
time I tell people this story, this is like my go-to
icebreaker.
I think it's funny enough totell people and people are
shocked.
It gives a real big shockfactor.
But people always ask, whydidn't you join in?

(07:35):
I wasn't invited, number one.
And number two, it was mygirlfriend cheating on me.
So that's kind of why I didn'tjoin in.
But hey, each their own.
You can do whatever you want, but not with me.
And there is no lingering drama.
I'm, as I said here, at peace, but baffled.

(07:55):
It's just one of those thingsthat happened to me and I'm
like, whoa, okay, that's funny,weird.
But it happened.
And it's funny that it happened,to be completely honest.
And it makes for a great story,as I said.
So, looking back on it, Ihonestly don't think
relationship with me andgirlfriend number two would have
lasted much longer.
But, hey, great story out of it.

(08:20):
Much easier way to break up.
So, too long, don't read.
Too long, don't listen.
Yeah, my second girlfriendcheated on me with my first
girlfriend.
And it makes for a great story.
So I thought, if you're going toget cheated on, may as well get
a podcast episode or a podcastsegment out of it.
So that's this little segment onFifty Shades of Gay.

(08:42):
Now...
with podcasts.
And you guys, if you'relistening to my podcast, you
definitely listen to otherpodcasts because this should not
be your first pick of podcasts.
I mean, if it is, thanks.
You should probably look intoexpanding your repertoire a
little bit and listening to somemore stuff.
But I know for me at least, thepodcasts that I listen to all

(09:03):
seem to have the exact samesponsors.
It's always like a Shopify or aBetterHelp or DraftKings, which
is like a gambling network, orBluetooth, which is a boner pill
company.
And looking back on this, Irealized that these companies
for sure cannot be making enoughmoney off of these podcast

(09:24):
sponsors.
Because I don't know if it'sjust me that doesn't buy
anything they listen to, but I Ifeel like that's quite normal.
There wouldn't be much turnoverfrom the amount of people
listening to the podcast and thepodcast sponsors that actually
go and decide to buy what thesponsor's trying to sell.
So I was doing some digging onsponsors as a whole, and it

(09:47):
turns out all of them, or mostof them, Bluetooth is all right,
most of them have some dirt onthem.
So Shopify, they're the onesthat create all...
the big websites.
If you see the shop pay button, you know it's Shopify.
That's like one of the thingsthat they say.
So they sponsor over, well, they've sponsored over 12,000

(10:09):
podcast episodes, 478 shows,repeat sponsors on 403.
And earlier this year, sorry, late last year, they shut down
their build native.
So their indigenousentrepreneurship scheme, they
shut it down Real quietly, didn't tell anyone.
They were very public about theprogram while it was running and

(10:29):
while it was going ahead.
It was a great program, helpinga lot of people out, and then
they decided to shut it down.
So that's one thing that Shopifydid.
Apart from that, they built somecool websites, good websites.
I don't know.
I don't use it, but it seemslike it works.
Another one that has a littlebit of shade on them is
BetterHelp.
I feel like I'm just destroyingany chance I have of getting
sponsored by these companies.

(10:51):
But if you guys are listening, Ilove you.
And what I'm saying is just as ajoke, and it's not real
whatsoever, so sponsor me.
BetterHelp.
Turns out, when they firststarted, and up until a couple
years ago, they fixed it now,but they were hiring unqualified
therapists.
Just, yeah, why not?
Why not hire real therapists andpay them proper wages?

(11:13):
Instead, they hired unqualifiedtherapists that were just
basically following a script andgiving generic...
ways of dealing with stuff, Iguess.
And then they also sharedprivate health and user data
with Meta, Snapchat, well, Meta, who is Instagram, Facebook, and
Snapchat.

(11:33):
And now they have to pay$7.8million to the Federal Trade
Commission in the US becausethey were just blatantly lying
to consumers about what theywere doing.
Yeah, man, I really am ruiningany chance I have of monetizing
this podcast.
Another one is DraftKings.
You guys do not need to sponsorme whatsoever because I'm going

(11:53):
to openly talk crap about you.
So they're facing lawsuits inIllinois, Kentucky, and New
Jersey in the US, obviously, forfalse and misleading
advertisement because they weredoing something called a no
sweat bet.
So saying like, I think it wasif you place this bet and you
lose, you get the money back, which isn't how it worked.

(12:15):
And it wasn't a no sweat bet.
If you lost the money, you lostthe money.
Big deal.
Yeah, so I accidentally cut mycamera out.
And we're back live in theflesh.
But yeah, blatantly lying abouttheir betting and what was going
on in that.
So that's fun.
And then it turns out thatthey've been running multiple

(12:36):
sponsorships with people whohave openly...
criticized gambling and sportsbetting as a whole.
And now they're sponsoring themand paying them big bucks to
talk about their apps.
And these people are using it.
So I don't know who's at faulthere, whether it's the
DraftKings or the people thatare accepting these bets, but

(12:57):
bets, sponsorships.
But yeah, that's a real fun one.
Another one, this isn't apodcast sponsor.
This is a company that wassponsoring on youtube and like
video content and honey youdefinitely used to see their ads
on youtube turns out that wasstealing money from creators so

(13:19):
at the bottom of like youtubevideos you can put like a link
to a product and that linkedwon't cost the linked the link
won't cost the buyer any moremoney but it will be like an
affiliate link so Whoever'sputting it.
So if I put a link indescription to a microphone,
let's say, I might make$5 offthat mic if it sells, but it's

(13:41):
not going to cost the user orthe buyer any more money.
But what was happening is whenyou click on that link and then
activated Honey, instead of theperson getting the money, so
instead of me getting the money,Honey gets all the money from
it.
Because people were wondering, how are they making money?

(14:01):
They weren't really doing a lotof advertisement.
They were doing so muchadvertisement, but they weren't
selling anything as such.
They were just giving away freemoney.
So yeah, it turns out they werejust stealing money from like
YouTube creators and I thinkthey're sponsoring podcasts as
well.
So that's always fun.

(14:22):
And the last one I want to talkabout, which is a little bit
funnier, is Blue Chew.
Now, if you don't know what BlueChew is or who they are, they're
a company that sells modern dayViagra.
It's just another way of sellingboner pills to people.
So they sponsor, they havesponsored, sorry, 6,700 podcast

(14:44):
episodes, 224 shows, 196 repeatshows, and yeah, all selling
boner pills to like Men, becausethat's all it is.
Selling boner pills, and theyobviously do a good job.
And researching Bluetooth andresearching boner pills, as I
should do in my day-to-day life,I stumbled across the Brazilian

(15:08):
wandering spider.
If you haven't heard of it,Brazilian wandering spider, it's
a sometimes deadly spider, alsoknown as the banana spider,
because I accidentally shippedwith bananas.
just because it comes fromBrazil.
Bananas are in Brazil.
Turns out it causes aquote-unquote prolonged and

(15:29):
painful erection, which can leadto the necrosis of the penis.
So in short, gives you apainful, bad, hard-on, and it
kills the tissue in yourgentleman's sausage and can lead
to death.
So the banana spider is killingyour banana.

(15:50):
in short.
And it's a spider so horny thatit's led to medical research
being done about it.
Because now they're looking atit and they're like, ooh, this
could be used as like a Viagra.
They could use the venom and getrid of the venomous part, but
still give you the hard-on part.
So that's interesting.
The last thing I'd like to do isbe eating a banana, get bitten

(16:14):
by a spider, and then get ahard-on and then die.
It doesn't sound like a...
Like a fun experiencewhatsoever.
And I don't know.
Whatever floats your boat or, Idon't know, peaks your
gentleman's sausage, I shouldsay.
You do you.
But getting bitten by a bonusbiter is not my ideal thing.

(16:37):
Something else I wanted to talkabout today is kids buying stuff
on their parents' phone.
Because I've got another storyabout this that I'm going to
lead this to.
You hear about every day.
It's usually around thatChristmas time period.
You hear about like a kid...
buying like a house on Amazon.
I got a couple of examples here.
There was a kid who bought like$1,500 worth of toys and a hot

(16:57):
tub worth$500 on Amazon.
And the parents didn't reallyknow until it just rocked up at
their house.
And then another five-year-oldspent over$2,500 in in-app
purchases on their phone, likeClash of Clans coins.
And I think most people haveaccidentally done this.
Like once maybe and then yourparents yell at you and you
never do it again i know i didwhen i was little i think i

(17:19):
bought like classic cans gems orsomething like that i wasn't any
good at the game either so ishouldn't have been buying
anything but i bought somethingaccidentally my dad yelled at me
never did it again that wasuntil earlier this year where my
parents were like harry did youbuy anything on your phone like
we've had a charge come up onour account i was like no my

(17:40):
card is linked to my phone soanything i buy comes off my
account, you know, like anyself-respecting 19 year old, I
pay for my own things.
Turns out my card wasn't linkedto my phone and it came off my
parents' phone.
And that purchase was like$35for Tinder gold.
It didn't even lead 20 matches.

(18:01):
So it was a bit of a scam in thefirst place.
So this was when I was over inMelbourne at the start of the
year with one of my mates werelike, oh yeah, might as well
just like give it a shot.
Who knows?
It's only one week.
Have a little bit of fun.
Didn't lead anywhere.
And then it led to an awkwardconversation with my parents and
they don't know.
So mom and dad, if you'rewatching, the$30 or$35, whatever

(18:21):
it was at the start of this yearor earlier this year for an
unknown app was me buying Tindergold on your account.
So I'm sorry about that.
But yeah, it just reminded me ofthose kids buying stuff with
their parents' phone.
So it turns out that Tinder Goldisn't all that flash.
Or maybe it's just me.
I think my Tinder profile ispretty crap.

(18:42):
I deleted it.
I'm proud of myself.
Deleted Tinder and Hinge.
Deactivated my accounts,actually.
I used to give people shit fordownloading the apps.
And then I downloaded themmyself.
And I got the dopamine boostfrom them.
I was like, oh, this is fun.
And then my mates would give meshit for them.

(19:04):
And then I saw the exact samething happen to them.
We were at the pub the othernight and we downloaded Tinder
on my mate's phone.
And he was like, no, I don'twant it.
I don't want it.
Then he sent me a screenshot theother day of him on a hinge.
And I'm like, you didn't havehinge.
We downloaded Tinder on yourphone.
And it turns out that he lovedTinder so much that he got
hinge.

(19:24):
And I was like, oh, this islike, this is not good.
So I deleted it and I was like,I can't do this.
This is bad enough for myself.
Can't be like subjecting mymates to it.
So he's now addicted to it.
So I've decided to retire, hangup the swiping fingers and the
zero matches.
And yeah, I deactivated myaccount.

(19:45):
So I'm proud of myself there.
And the last thing I want totalk about today, we're just
flying through topics, left, right and center, bonus spiders,
girlfriends cheating on me,sponsors, Tinder gold.
Um, is a TikToker.
If you are remotely on the brainrot-y side, lol cow side of

(20:06):
TikTok, you would know whoJoshua Block, World of T-Shirts,
is.
If you don't, he's a TikTokerwho, in the past probably year
and a half, has got incrediblyfamous for not the right
reasons.
He, unfortunately, has a severedependency on alcohol.
and thinks it's normal.

(20:27):
People are speculating that he'sprobably on the spectrum.
He hasn't addressed it himself, but he shows similar
characteristics to it.
And he just rages in public, severe alcoholism.
And I've been following Josh forabout four years.
So I was there during like thecoffee and boba days.

(20:49):
So he used to like do bobareviews and coffee reviews.
He would sing.
In Times Square in New York, I'mgoing to

SPEAKER_01 (20:55):
play a little snippet now.

SPEAKER_00 (21:10):
So in 2021, he also paid for a billboard.
in Times Square of him dancingwith his TikTok art, which led
to a lot of followers.
I think he had 2.2 million orsomething like that in 2021.
And he also started chargingfans$50 to get a photo or a
video with him.
Because I mean, you got to getthat bag somehow.
But it all started to goseriously downhill at the end of

(21:35):
2021.
In November 2021, he was still20 years old.
And in the US, the legaldrinking age is 21.
So he hadn't had alcohol before.
But when he went to Mexico, hestarted drinking and drinking a
lot.
He was drinking every day.
He had a blast.
But this is when the problemsseriously started.
The boba turned into alcohol.
And then before you know it,World of T-shirts was not World

(21:59):
of T-shirts.
And it was pretty much justWorld of Alcoholism.
So that's when, yeah, that'swhen things really started to go
downhill for him.
And then he had some wackymanagers.
He had Michael Quinn.
We thought he was really bad.
Wasn't super nice.
Would exploit him quite a lot.
They did a meetup with DanielLarson and him.
If you don't know who DanielLarson is, he's now in prison.

(22:20):
But he was also a TikToker atthe same time.
Had some own mental issues thathe was dealing with.
Very similar to Josh in the waythat he was getting taken
advantage of.
But Michael Quinn made the boysmeet up in 2023.
And that led to, honestly...
One of the strangest periods ofTikTok I've ever seen.

(22:42):
My entire feed page was justDaniel Larson and Joshua Block
meeting up non-stop.
And then Michael Quinn and Josh, they were no longer manager
anymore.
And then Mr.
Based became Josh's manager, which was even worse.
We really thought Michael Quinnwas bad.

(23:03):
Mr.
Based was bad.
He...
would exploit josh had thisweird dog he hired prostitutes
for josh like non-stop becausehe had never had sex before so
instead of you know helping himwheeze off or lean off the
alcohol and then get healthy andthen get into a healthy
relationship mr base justdecided to hire some prostitutes

(23:23):
for josh so that's fun and nowmr based and josh are no longer
like partners anymore and So nowMr.
Bass, all he does, I checked hisTikTok before filming this
video, and the last 30 or 40videos are just him staring
directly into the sun.
And I don't mean like looking atthe sun or glancing.
I mean, he does like sunexposure therapy where he stares

(23:47):
directly at the sun.
Weird, weird guy.
And now another thing about Joshis, as I said, he struggles with
alcoholism.
But He has like a winter soldieractivation line.
If you've seen any Avengersmovies, you know, when they say
that line, the winter soldierjust like activates and he goes
into a crazy mode.

(24:07):
So people cannot, they do, theyshouldn't, but they say, put the
fries in the bag to Josh.
And he goes nuts.
He starts screaming.
He'll yell.
I make more money than you.
I make 400 grand a year.
I'll sue you.
Start screaming.
He bites his arm all becausethey say, put the fries in the
bag.
And I think we've started torealize recently, like if you

(24:28):
look in the comment section,it's under Josh's videos.
You realize that people arestarting to catch on that Josh
thinks it's one person becauseyou always say, how did you find
me?
How did you know where I was?
So Josh thinks that it's justone person saying, put the fries
in the bag.
Not any of his like 5 millionfollowers that are saying it.

(24:49):
So that's fun.
But it's a seriously sadsituation that he's in at the
moment.
He's got no manager.
which is, we thought would bebetter for him, but he's been
linking up with some badYouTubers.
Do you know Jack Doherty?
He's the one that like crashedhis McLaren because he was on
his phone while driving at like80 miles an hour.

(25:11):
So like 120 Ks an hour on afreeway in the rain, crashed his
car, almost killed his cram andran.
And now he did a link up with aload of t-shirts for a couple of
days and just like abused himpretty much.
Like gave him as much alcohol ashe wants, like treated him like
absolute crap.
And that was like really strangebecause about three weeks

(25:32):
before, Josh did a video withanother YouTuber called Danny
Duncan, who was the completeopposite to Josh, like trying to
get Josh into rehab, like beingvery cautious around him, giving
him a really good time.
And you can tell the difference.
Like...
In that video with Danny Duncan, who was the guy that treated him
well, Josh was happy, smiling, having a good time the entire

(25:53):
time.
And then the video with JackDoherty, he was just screaming,
nonstop people yelling, put thefries in the bag to him, nonstop
people yelling at him, you know, just because.
And then every single time Joshtries, or someone tries to tell
Josh that he should maybe lookat rehab or look at weaning off

(26:14):
the alcohol, He claims thateveryone has their alcoholic
years.
And now, I love a good beveragemyself.
Can't complain.
I love a beer every now andthen.
I can't have beer.
I'm allergic to beer.
Love a cider every now and then.
But alcoholic years and Josh'salcoholic years are very

(26:35):
different.
I think what Josh means is likepeople in college or in
university going out drinking acouple nights a week.
Maybe getting sloshed one nightof the weekend.
Not being blackout drunk.
24 7 there was a guy on tiktok ithink he stopped where he's not
posting as frequently anymorebut his name was world of drinks
tracker and he would look atjosh's videos throughout the day

(26:59):
because josh posts like 20 to 30videos every day on tiktok he
would look at what he's drinkinghow much it is like alcohol
Josh's body weight, and then hewould calculate how much it
costs, how much he's drinking,Josh's standard blood alcohol
level, and it was insane, likehis BAC was so high the entire
day, that very much an issue, asif you haven't told already,

(27:24):
been able to tell already, serious issue with him, so
that's just another thing Iwanted to touch on today,
another episode of rambling andweird stuff, that I wanted to
