Theresa shares her powerful journey of healing after the devastating loss of her three children, a path that ultimately inspired her book Healing Tears. In this deeply moving conversation, Theresa reflects on the early pull toward anger and revenge, and how forgiveness, journaling, therapy, and meditation became lifelines for processing grief. She recounts a profound guided-meditation experience where she reconnected with her children, and how building a new life with her husband Todd, while raising stepchildren, helped her rediscover purpose and meaning.

Theresa also opens up about her long road to publishing, writing her book in 2000 but not releasing it until 2017. Along the way, her story reached a wider audience through appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show and contributions to Gary Zukav’s newsletter, as well as inspiration from his book The Seat of the Soul. Theresa describes how a lifelong openness to mediumship was affirmed during a reading with James Van Praagh, who shared validating details about her children and the protective guides who supported her healing.

Throughout the episode, Theresa and Julie explore authenticity as a soul lesson, how moving from privacy to openness transformed Theresa’s healing and allowed her to serve others. She shares the meaningful signs she receives from her children, especially goldfinches, and how publishing Healing Tears on Valentine’s Day 2017 marked another turning point in her story. Today, Theresa continues to share her story to offer hope, resilience, and gentle guidance to anyone navigating grief and trauma.
