In this episode, I’m taking you behind the scenes of my unforgettable weekend back in South Bend, Indiana, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Notre Dame Pom Squad. I danced for the Irish from 1993 to 1996 — and captained the squad my senior year — so stepping back onto the court for a halftime performance brought back all the memories (and yes, a little bit of muscle soreness).

But this weekend was about more than just reliving my college days. It was a powerful reminder of the magic that happens when you put yourself out there, embrace vulnerability, and allow yourself to step away from your day-to-day responsibilities. I’m sharing why it’s so important to make space for fun, why missing a kid’s game or letting your spouse take over isn’t a bad thing, and how doing things that make you a little nervous can reignite your confidence.

If you’ve been craving a girls' weekend or wondering whether it’s “okay” to do something just for yourself, this episode is your permission slip.

Tune in to hear:

  • What it was like performing at the Notre Dame vs. Pitt basketball game after all these years
  • The unexpected benefits of reconnecting with old friends and past passions
  • Why stepping away from mom mode can make you an even better mom
  • How putting yourself in uncomfortable situations leads to personal growth

Grab your headphones, and let’s chat about finding joy, embracing your second act, and remembering who you are outside of your to-do list.
