In this heartfelt episode of Love After Lullabies, Cameron and Elyse take us on a journey through their 20 years of love, resilience, and personal growth. Cameron and Elyse open up about the highs and lows of their journey, including the joy of their engagement, the heartbreak of miscarriage, and the transformative experience of becoming parents. Listeners will come away with valuable insights about the importance of communication, resilience, and leaning on each other during difficult times. This inspiring conversation reminds us of the strength that can be found in love and the beauty of growing together through life’s challenges.
Join us as we explore the lessons learned, the faith that anchors them, and the deep bond they’ve built over the years.
Guest Bio:
Cameron & Elyse have been married for 16 years and together for 20. They actually got married on the same day 4 years to the day we met. We've got two incredible kiddos that fill our life with beauty, parental frustration and incredible love. We are both entrepreneurs...Cameron with a Web Design company and Elyse in Coaching & Spiritual Mentorship for visionary women in business. We met outside of a restaurant, both on vacation, in Hilton Head Island, SC, did a year long distance to begin our relationship, lived in Charlotte NC for a year for Cameron to finish his college degree, ran around Los Angeles like chickens with our heads cut off for 10 years (where we birthed our first son), and have since been loving and calling Florida our home. In our journey, our first pregnancy was a miscarriage, and our most recent (fourth pregnancy) resulted in an extremely traumatic near-death experience for Elyse when an ectopic pregnancy ruptured in the hospital at 4am. We are so grateful communication is the foundation of our relationship (credited to our initial year of long-distance), and have shared our fair share of challenging moments. But, we continue forward, first and foremost putting our trust and faith in God, and look forward to the beauty that the future brings for us and our family.
